the commandments
01 Dark Woods is first and foremost a family of loyal members. Any equine of any alliance is welcome to join so long as they adhere to the rules.
02 The Sovereigns and the Regent hold the power in these lands. Their word is law and you are expected to obey.
03 Heirs are any children born to the Sovereigns that they have deemed worthy to rule. When the Sovereigns step down or die, the most capable heir will take over the lands. They must have the blood of Winter Solstice and Blue Ice in order to legitimately inherit the crown.
04 The Commoners are the lifeblood of the lands and they are to be protected at all costs.
05 To become allies with Dark Woods, one must contact the Sovereigns or their roleplayers to negotiate an alliance. This alliance means that neither will steal or challenge from the other, and can assist each other if the other one is in trouble.
06 All challenges to the Dark Woods throne will be held in the Battlegrounds. The Sovereigns will take the challenge and if they are not capable, the Regent will take the challenge. Should you win the challenge, Dark Woods will move and take the members with that wish to go with them. You must choose a new land title and description.
the ranks
The Sovereign They are the ruler of the herd. They are in charge and what they say is law. They handle all challenges and all conflicts in the herd. This position is strictly inherited through the blood of Blue Ice and Winter Solstice.
The Regent They are second in command. They are in charge if the Sovereign is away.
Heirs to the Throne They are in training to become the next Sovereign. They are third in command, so long as they are at least three years of age. They must have the blood of Blue Ice and Winter Solstice.
Children of the Crown Other children of the Sovereign and the Regent. If the current heir is somehow unable to fulfill their duties, a child from this position may rise to become the heir.
The Advisor They advise the Sovereign and the Regent on the affairs of Wild Equines and offer advice. If the heir is not old enough, they are third in command.
The Ambassador They are the representative to the Neutral Royals and communicate affairs between Dark Woods and Tremala Woods.
The Emissary They visit other herds in Wild Equines to communicate, gather information, and to organize alliances and other arrangements.
The Guardian They are essentially the representative of the commoners. They watch over the commoners and bring up concerns to the Sovereign.
The Caretaker Their duties consist of watching and babysitting the foals and other young herd members of Dark Woods.
The General They are in charge of the warriors and advise the Sovereign on war and other conflict policies.
The Warriors They are the warriors of the herd and protect the herd at all costs.
Mares, Stallions, and Children They are the commoners of the lands and are to be protected at all costs.
