The time had come to take a stand, it was just that simple. Ajax had been perfectly content to take a back seat and watch everything move around him, even when his father had been taken as prisoner by Carnevale Letale. Of course he had wanted to do something about it then but his mother Crucifix had assured him that it wasn't the time to take action. So he had waited even longer and had expected a change, but when none came he began to grow irritated. Now the final straw had been pulled when Carnevale Letale yet again made a steal, this time for his very pregnant mother. He could no longer sit back and watch this go on, he wouldn't allow it. Not to mention Disneyland Acid Trip would be severely pissed off if he didn't protect his mother while he was imprisoned. His long ebony hock kisser swiped against his flanks, his Shire and Belgian blood lines becoming more prominent with the extensive work out routines he had been taking. At only sixteen point two hands he would seem petite in comparison to the stallion that had accepted his challenge, but no matter. Ajax did not possess fear and only fierce determination circulated through his veins. The young dunskin hued hellhound would not leave the battlegrounds without being the victor, and he would simply keep challenging the bastards until he got what he wanted. He could be annoying, in fact he would continue to nag them until they would bend to his needs. His dial was held high as he strode forward and away from his home land, this would not be the last time he would see it though. He was trying to keep a positive mind set, today was the day that this would all change. His ebony dipped pistons moved him into a quick paced trot and then a full canter, but he wouldn't waste all of his energy on the journey to the battle field. Nasal passages flared as he inhaled the dry air around him, and he could feel small beads of sweat arise on his hide. The sun was a bright orb in the sky, it's rays smoldering the land beneath it. It would not be easy out there today, but he had never expected nor wanted easy. In a way he could respect that Carnevale Letale wanted their freedom, but he was furious that they were fucking with his family. He knew his father being a part of the Helkaer brotherhood could cause a problem, but he hadn't been prepared for the repercussions. It wasn't long until the unfamiliar cracked terrain came into view. Ajax had heard plenty of stories about this place from both his mother and father, but he had never personally set his hooves into this open terrain. He slowed to a jog and then a walk, allowing his tense muscles to relax a bit. Nerves didn't run through his veins as he strolled across the terrain, meanwhile his mismatched orbs caught sight of a few other equines who had also come here to fight. He could feel his adrenaline spike as he briefly watched the pairs going at it, and he knew that he would lay everything on the line here today. He would be sure to put all of his strength and fury into each hit; he wanted to make this Jason Voorhees character regret his poor decisions. The dust seemed to pick up around him with any rushed movement and he kept a note of this as he made his way toward the most even part of the terrain he could find. There would be no advantages for either of them, he wouldn't fight dirty. This would be a clean fight one way or another, and one of them would walk away the victor. The young brute cast his gaze toward the horizon and slowly the form of his opponent came into view. Ajax wasn't surprised by his large mass, he had already seen him prior to this so it was no great shock. I'm glad you decided to show. His vocals reached across the distance, for he wasn't afraid to address the stallion, although his mother would probably frown upon this. He waited until the behemoth got a little bit closer for the space between them to close. He didn't necessarily plan out any attacks in his cranium, in fact he just wanted to roll off of instinct. Without any more words or hesitation he pushed off of his powerful hind pistons as he lurched forward. The distance between them was not much and soon he was upon the brute, and instantly his chapped lips peeled back to reveal stained ivories. Ajax aimed for the sensitive and pliant flesh behind the brute's left elbow in hopes of grabbing a hold of it, but he wasn't done there. Just as quickly as he was darting in to grab some skin with his teeth he was spinning on his hind quarters, a proud feature of his Quarter horse lineage, and was bringing his hind end off the ground to hopefully meet with the stallion's jaw. As soon as his hooves touched back down he moved forward, his eyes squinting slightly due to the cloud of dust that he had kicked up. He wasn't sure if he had made contact with the brute or not, but he would keep trying until he did. He was now facing Jason again and an invisible brow was arched as he waited for his retaliation and he was almost eager for it. YOUR NIGHTMARE WALKS AMONG YOU FOLLOW ME DOWN TO HELL

"Hahahaha!" Laughter echoed out over the battle field as Jason freely galloped toward his latest opponent, Ajax. Onyx pools swirled within their lacrimal prisons as a gleeful grin disfigured his ivory facial mask. They never learned! Disneyland Acid Trip's own mate could not win against him so how did they think that the spawn of the two piteous equines would fare any better? The hilarity of the situation was enough for the mostly ebony brute to release a deep belly laugh as his stout ivory pillars came to a halt upon the cracked earth. His injuries from Crucifix's lovely sparring match with the Carnevalian guard had healed nicely and he had grown used to the whistling between the jagged split of his left hark. Plenty of rest, well grown forage, fresh water at all times, and a careful progression of conditioning from light to intense work left him feeling better than he had in years. The scarred beast's gaze found Ajax in his ebony cross hairs before viciously scrutinizing his rival for any flaws and weak points. Ajax was shorter than Jason by a couple hands or so but his entire frame was lithe and properly constructed for bursts of speed. Those two factors were not in Jason's favor but that meant that he was simply going to have to alter his assault strategy. Beforehand, his tactics were to be considered fair. He would have let Ajax have ample amount of time to strike back but now that the leviathan had a few moments to truly observe his opponent, being fair and clean cut would not work here. Even though it meant he would be precariously put in the firing range of his opponent's attacks more often, he would simply have to deal with the consequences of the opposing tactics. For him though, he was now able to dish out potentially heavy hitting attacks and potential assaults landing in vital areas. If he could manage to throw a heavy barrage of kicks in his first swing, he could, hopefully, bring Ajax down enough to lessen the force behind his rival's attacks. Jason's strategy was not fool proof or perfect and it would most likely be touch and go for a few minutes at a time. It would have to do though.
The leviathan galloped toward his russet opponent without any indications he was going to stop or slow down. More laughter bubbled up from his vocal chords as Ajax charged forward to meet him. 'Oh how cute! He thinks he's going to get the first jab, huh? Think again baby face!' Jason inwardly cackled as marbled pillars catapulted his muscular frame forward even faster as the gladiators nearly collided. Stout fore limbs shoved his heavy fore hand up into the air as his hind limbs supported his now airborne frame. Dinner plate sized knives struck out in a thrashing motion, once with the right, then the left, and then the right again as he dually used the motion to stay upright in the air as an attempt to strike at Ajax's head, neck, or his shoulders. Whichever he was closest to at the time really. Somewhere in the thrashing of his limbs, his enemy's enamels had dug into the supple flesh just behind his left elbow. Onyx flesh easily split open and claret began to steadily trickle down the curve of his gut. Flickers of pain spider webbed from the fresh injury but it was not the most painful wound he had sustained before in battle. 'Really? That's the best you have for strike one?' Sinew lined hind limbs marched forward under his weight as Jason began to come back down to earth. In a quick maneuver, the russet stag spun and fired dual kicks from his hind hooves at Jason's under belly. 'Hades damn it.' The thought flashed across Jason's mind as he knew that Ajax was about to double punch his recently healed ribs with both back hooves. And he was right. The curved splices of marrow fractured with a resounding crack! Again. Oxygen was brutally shoved back through his nasal passages for a few moments until he could regain his ability to breathe once more.
Although, if Ajax was still in front of him, then the force behind Jason still coming back down may push Ajax over or he may have some part of his frame crushed by all fourteen hundred pounds that were currently crashing toward the ground. If his opponent had managed to escape from the blows, most likely to be devastating if the russet stud had taken the barrage of strikes and then taken some amount of damage from Jason's return to earth, then Ajax was most likely still up for round two. The battle was far from over though. Ajax had already given his first and second attacks yet Jason had yet to offer his second strike. The guard wanted to see what damage, if any, his rival had sustained thus far before progressing with his plan. There was little use in circulating the same attack around three times and around the same areas against his opponent and that was why he wanted to let the dust settle for a few moments to survey the outcome of his first attack. Winded breaths wheezily escaped his nasal passages as the brute's powerful limbs propelled him backwards to give himself a few seconds to regain his composure and assess his own injuries. The familiar lightning strike of pain from his ribs ignited his nerves again, causing him to grit his enamels and clench his jaws. It was a lucky move for Ajax but it would not stop Jason from fighting. Ajax's mother had broken Jason's ribs in their battle and clearly the apple did not fall too far from the tree when it came to fighting. 'It still makes them piss poor soldiers. Kicking a dog in the ribs only grants you the comfort of knowing that when the dog gets up, hell is coming for you.' Hell was most certainly coming for Ajax now.

He had been foolish and allowed his adrenaline to push him to attack too soon. In the heat of the moment he had rushed and used two of his three attacks, and now he was forced to back pedal a bit. Ajax had never actually been in the battlegrounds so this was a great learning experience for the young hellhound, and even though he had made a fairly large mistake he wouldn't be backing down anytime soon. Jason Voorhees was surely larger and more experienced but the brute could not be intimidated. He had work to do and he simply could not just give up. The dust that swarmed around them was suffocatingly thick and Ajax just fought to keep his concentration on his opponent. All of his training had prepared him for this moment, and he was more then ready to accept some hits from his adversary. Unfortunately even though his attacks had landed on his nemesis, they weren't originally where he had aimed them to be. He could taste the rustic blood as it oozed into his maw and it only drove his blood lust further. He wanted to rip Jason open and gut him like a fish, but that wasn't possible to do here today. But he was confident there would be other days. His powerful hind pistons managed to land on the leviathian's barrel and Ajax wasn't complaining, that was until he realized just exactly where he was at when the dust settled. Jason was looming above him like a giant and not long after his large dinner plate sized hooves were coming at him rapidly. Ajax took this time to try and duck his cranium, but these hits simply could not be avoided. He could feel his hooves slice into his nape directly behind his poll and soon after the brute was crashing down nearly on top of him! Ajax wasn't about to stick around for him to break his back and he was soon bolting forward, though not before he felt Jason clip his withers with his hefty pistons. His body was sizzling with adrenaline and at first all he could hear was an insistent buzzing noise as he swung on his haunches. It was then that he felt the warm liquid oozing behind his harks and along with that was a fairly large incision on his withers and fore piston. His right leg was not injured, but he could feel the aching musculature in his nape. He wasn't quite sure how bad his wounds were yet, but they were decent enough to annoy him. The constant trickle of crimson from his wounds was irritating and his long ebony banner swiped against his flanks as he adjusted his stance to face Jason yet again. He knew he would have to play his cards right here if he wanted to land a decent blow on the brute, so as of right now he was going to have to play a little bit of defense. The young brute stood waiting, his auditories flattened tightly to his skull in order to avoid them becoming a target. His dial was raised slightly though this was difficult as he could feel the sore muscles along his neck objecting the movement. It seemed that even with the slightest movement more of his own blood began to pulsate from the wounds, and as the moments ticked by he began to realize that his right shoulder blade had somehow been hit by Jason's hooves in the skirmish. Ajax wasn't about to move from the spot he was standing in and in fact he was prepared for a stale mate. He stood, his mismatched spheres locked on the ebonite frame of his opponent. He knew he could have done better, but the battle was far from over yet. He wouldn't allow Jason the satisfaction of seeing him in pain or that he was berating himself for making a mistake. He could still correct his wrong doings, but that would only happen if Jason decided to move. Ajax positioned himself to brace any contact and locked gazes with him, goading him on with his eyes. He wanted him to come at him, and when he did Ajax would really show him what he was capable of. It was his last attack and he wasn't going to use it so simply. He wanted it to count, and he would damn near put his all into it. Jason had nothing to lose meanwhile Ajax had everything to lose. He could not give up and he could not roll over belly up; he had to prove himself here today. He wanted it more after all and he wasn't going to just give Jason the victory, he would fight him tooth and nail for it. This fight was far from over but it was just starting to get half way decent. It wouldn't be long before it was over though and all he could do was wait and see what became of his blood, sweat, and effort. The ebony war hound had taken some damage from Ajax's first two attacks and he was rather curious to see what the seemingly inexperienced stag would assault him with next. Jason already knew what he, himself, was going to do but it had the potential to change depending on if Ajax threw a curve ball type attack his way. Once the dust settled, it became clear that his friend's grandson had taken some damage as well. Good. Pain strengthens the soul. Jason was sure by now that Ajax's adrenaline had kicked in and with the first taste of blood, the unspoken laws of the battle field had made themselves known. Granted they were not fighting to the death but the concept of kill or be killed was still applicable. Once they had parted from the bloody collision, his opponent moved off a few feet and stood still. Ebony pools could see that blood trickled freely from his rival's wounds and it caused Jason to crack a smile. "Oh come on now, where's the eager warrior looking to prove himself? He won't be found just by standing around once you get dirty and a bit bloody." The pale masked beast chuckled before he began to circle Ajax just out of reach of any kicks or strikes which put him about six to eight feet out from Zacky's grandson. "I may not agree with your life style nor I may not agree with the Helkaers but Zacky Vengeance doesn't spawn pathetic cowards. Have you ever met the big black beast? Or can you not swallow the fact that your grandfather has accomplished much more than you ever have and will?" Jason's lyrics jabbed at the young stallion relentlessly. Some would say he was hypocritical because he once lived with the Hershel. He once played by their petty rules that no one followed or even vaguely remembered. But things were different now and he had realized there was a better way, a more productive and fulfilling way, to live and exist. The leviathan snorted softly as he observed his opponent. "I'll happily stand here all day and wait for the princess to make her move. It is courteous for the gentleman to let the lady go first, of course. Go ahead, get up in my face. I'll take your next hit without flinching but I doubt you have the balls to even accept such a pleasantry!" Laughter bubbled up from his throat as a malicious grin tugged at his ashen features. Would the fool fall for it? Only time would tell.
