A thick layer of snow was covering the ground when the tall stallion walked into the battlefield. Over the last couple of days a thick layer of snow had been added to the world. It looked like a comfortable blanket. Bathing the world in the white color, which was a lot different from the green summer they had just had and the orange and red autumn. Ajax was much more interested in the winter than the summer time. There was something about the winter, the cold and the snow. You never know what kind of weather would hit you. It could be clear sky and bright outside for one minute and the next dark clouds had crawled in and a massive snow storm was going on and you could not see a thing. The beauty about winter, Ajax truly did love this season. When the muscular stallion came galloping into the battlefield he knew that he had to be careful. He knew that every wrong step that he would take could make him break his leg. Slipping on the ground was dangerous. Right now while there was snow everywhere it was easier to place your hooves in the right spot. But once two stallions had started dancing around the arena, the ground would get stumbled down, it would get icy in this snow. It would make this battle extremely dangerous, which was just something that Ajax was very interested in. He enjoyed challenges. To try out new things that he hadn’t done before. Standing in this mighty place was new for sure and he was taking in every moment off it. It felt a bit glorious being able to stand in the battleground, knowing what kind of battles had gone through here in the time of Wild Equines. From the time Ajax had been born he had heard stories about the glorious battles that had gone through in this ground. He knew it all and he had never gotten tired of hearing them. So it was fitting that he was standing in this ground today. When the ground looked like a winter wonderland. It made the battleground look some kind of magical place. A place that wasn’t dangerous at all, but no one should be mistaken by this place. Under the thick layer of snow was the blood, all the blood that had been spilled in this ground. It wasn’t just the blood, piles of bones and corpses were laying around, just like trash all over the ground. Today’s battle wasn’t about life or death though. It was about a land, one stupid little land that he was after. The thing with Ajax was that if he wanted something he would go after it and get it. He would never let someone else do his dirty job, himself wanted to make sure that he would try his absolutely best to get what he wanted. His mind was focused since he had been training for a battle like this all his life. For four years every day he had been out in the training ring of Tomorrowland and training for real life events like this.
His body was perfectly balanced in a rhythmic dance when he slowed down to trot. His legs were swung up high in the air as he danced around the battle ground. Ajax knew perfectly well that it wasn’t just about the battle skills; it was also about how you moved and how well your leg work was. So for four years Ajax had trained himself in dressage, high class movements that were good for the battle ground. So when his body danced so graceful around the battleground he was just warming up. The temperature was cold and a cold winter breeze was blowing across the place. Looking up to the sky it was clear that the weather would not stay nice throughout this battle. It would be a dangerous thing to enter this battle with his muscles all cold and stiff so while waiting for the other stallion to show up, Ajax took his time in the warm up. He had been here for a while now, all alone just staring out in the white world around him. Waiting, because he knew that at one point the stallion would show up. Didn’t they always do? In the four years Ajax had used the oxygen on Wild Equines he had never seen a stallion give up anything without a fight. So he was going with his own statistics right now. He didn’t know if his own statistics were right or not, but it truly didn’t matter. He was eager to start though since the adrenaline was pumping into every inch of his body. He had never been in a real fight before, at least not this big. This fight meant something. It was a battle over a land, land that belonged to someone else right now but Ajax was just being his usual self and causing trouble. The land meant most likely more to the other stallion than Ajax. To him it was just something to fight over. Of course he truly wanted to win; he wanted to be able to say that he owned one of the dark main lands. Ajax was tired of just being nobody. He wanted to start making a name for himself and this had been the great idea he had come up with, to challenge for one of the dark main lands. It was something else, out of his comfort zone that he had been living in. For four years he had lived with his parents in their grounds. After four years he had figured that was a good amount of time and that he was ready to move out and into the big world. Start making equines of Wild Equines know his name. Which would take a while since his father was famous and his mother was the most amazing creature that had ever walked on the grounds of Wild Equines. His orbs scanned a movement and he turned his head towards the spot he had seen the movement. Could it be the other stallion? For a moment there Ajax stood in complete silence and just watched the world around him. He had plenty of time and no other place he had to be in at the moment. So he would be completely focused on this battle. Birds high up in the sky had started to circle over the battleground, they had already sensed what was about to happen. Now there was only one thing missing, the other stallion.

SNOW fell in delicate flurries from the heavens. The sky was a dreary grey in coloring, a bite in the air that only meant that winter was here. Quite a bit of things had happened in the recent months for the smokey grullo wench. She had moved from one home to another when she had been in the process of getting to know both her mate and her herd members. Just when she thought things were settling down drama rose, which wasn't uncommon. Wild Equines was known for it's "excitement". She had been out patrolling her new terrain when the challenge had come, from a stallion who didn't seem that much older then herself actually. She had held back, curious on Roman's reaction to the challenge. Stallions could be quite rash when it came to things such as these, but now this was getting under her skin. She was sick and tired of having to move her herd from place to place and she was putting her hooves down! Elena had spoken to Roman with no room of leniency. She wanted this challenge and she was going to take it. The trek to the battlegrounds weren't as difficult as she had interpreted. The area was familiar to her, having been here before, and she actually looked forward to meeting the little cockroach that decided to invade her personal space. This was not being taken lightly in Elena's mind. This battle would not only be over her home but over her newfound family, the herd. She was positive everyone was tired of moving and she wasn't going to let some meaningless little boy get his fame from her family. Powerful, robust pistons shoveled through the snow on the ground, though the further she got to the battlegrounds the more it became like slush. Amongst the mush under her hooves was dirt and the remains of the deceased. She could have sworn she heard a bone snap beneath her feet not too long ago. Nostrils flared wide as she inhaled the crisp air, each breath burning as she did so. She hadn't even seen the brute yet but already her adrenaline was pumping through her veins. She was angry, of course she was furious! But she wouldn't allow that to cloud her judgement through this battle.
LARGE doe shaped eyes searched the vast terrain for the form of her opponent. The new fallen snow had already masked his trail but she knew that she would find him soon enough. Why he had picked Sabbra Falls wasn't much of a mystery, it seemed Roman attracted the wrong kind of equines more often then not. But this didn't necessarily bother her, they just hadn't had a chance to get a piece of her yet. She wanted them to think they were weak, if only to prove them wrong. Elena took her time as she strolled through the battlefield past the large coliseum. Her cranium was held high out of pure defiance. Ebony tassels snapped against her flanks making a sound that resounded closely to a cracking whip. It was when she reached what appeared to be the center of the terrain that she first saw him. It seemed they were a bit even in height, but she was heavier built. It was to be expected considering she was a mutt of many draft breeds. With one glimpse you could see her Belgian and Clydesdale bloodlines through her broad chest and wide haunches. But her Thoroughbred genes made her nimble and swift on her feet, so she had a bit of a wild card to play here. Expecting someone else I assume sweetie? Well your stuck with me. She fixed him with a dazzling smile before pushing off of her hind legs. She wanted enough traction to keep herself from falling as she approached him, so she didn't go at an incredibly quick pace. Her intentions were to use the snow to her advantage, and to slam the brunt of her weight into him to knock him off balance. While doing so her kissers parted to reveal pearly enamels that yearned to be blood stained. These were aimed for both his eyes and ears, if she could maim him there it could possibly be difficult for him to gauge any further distance between them, or at least she hoped. She scrambled away from him then, eager to make him engage with her. Its a shame you couldn't have taken me out for dinner first. She mused as she waited for his response. This was a terribly serious situation but she didn't need him seeing her sweat. Elena was fully capable of putting him in his place and she was eager to prove to him that Sabbra Falls and it's members were not to be messed with.
NOTES► I hope you don't mind but I decided to take this battle due to Roman being busy with RL. TAGGED► @birna with Ajax ATTACKS► oo1. The time passed and the world continued to be in silent for a while. Not even the birds were screaming from the top of their lungs like they so often did in the battleground. It was dead silent for a while and on that moment Ajax heard the sound of a large animal make its path closer to where he was standing. Perfect the battle was about to start, his orbs were fixed in the direction where the sound came from. Ajax sniffed the air and to his surprise the scent that came from the equine was not a male scent. It belonged to a femora. In that thought of his a draft looking mare with hint of lighter breeds in her though came into the clearance that Ajax was standing in. A smirk entered his face when he realized what was going on. The stallion that he had challenged had decided to not show up himself but send the mare to the battleground. When Ajax had challenged for the dark main land he had at least respected the stallion, but now the stallion had lost all the respect Ajax had for him. He would give the mare few points for showing up here. Expecting someone else I assume sweetie? Well your stuck with me the words from the mare came crashing into his towers. The dark smirk on his face was still there. No he hadn’t been expecting her to show up but he didn’t really care who he would fight against. All he wanted was to fight someone and since this mare had shown up he would fight her. ”That’s perfectly fine my dear.” his words were smooth when he spoke back to the draft mare. Ajax did not know her name nor did he really care what it was. Their hue was a bit different and so was the height. Even though Ajax was a tall beast but the mare towered over him a bit. Most of the time mares weren’t taller than him so this was a nice surprise. Not that it changed anything; the dun colored stallion was just as eager to fight this mare as any other horse. He didn’t look at height as a problem since small equine could just as easily take down a larger equine in a fight.
Large chunk of snow covered the orbs of the dun stallion when the mare went forward and into her first attack. It was a quick attack from the mare and for a moment he was blinded by the snow that was flying towards his face. He could feel the weight of the heavy mare pushed against his shoulder. She hit him quite good and he knew perfectly well that he would be extremely sore in his shoulder for a while. He wouldn’t be surprised if a nice bruise would turn up after this. When the mare had crashed into him she had made him slide a bit further away. He could feel her teeth catch the skin above the eye and Ajax was glad at that moment for sliding a bit away from her otherwise she might have ripped out his eye with that bite. Ajax had thought quick though and when the mare aimed high up on his face he lowered his crown and reached out for her neck and jugular area. Ajax attack was fast and sharp. He wasn’t sure how badly he wounded the mare but attacks in that area could hurt a lot. The mare was quick to get away though and he watched her move apart from him. Her second words came crashing into his towers. Its a shame you couldn't have taken me out for dinner first. and he grinned at her words. ”It truly is a shame, but then again I only take possible fucks out for dinner first. With ladies you need a much better plan.” he said in his beautiful voice. Ajax was after all a flirt and a big player but he knew how to treat the ladies right. That was something he had been thought by his mother who he respected more than anything else. Ajax wanted to proof to this world that he was worth it and that he could do great things. He would never be good at sitting around and do nothing that just wasn’t his style at all. This fight was only first of many for him. He knew that he wasn’t done. He might even try to damage that unworthy stallion that was supposed to fight this fight even more. Ajax wasn’t sure though, he had a great respect for the mare he was fighting against now. She had shown herself worthy. Too bad she was dating such a pathetic stallion. His orbs were fixed on the mare since it was her turn again. Her final attack, he had a feeling it would be a good one.

So there will be no confusion. The battle has been blown off since Ajax now owns a herd of his own.
