Name: Sabathiel
Breed: Clydesdale X Akhal Teke X Friesian X Andalusian
Age: 17
Personality:
Sabathiel is a protective creature. He despises the abuse of others and the gross manipulation from twisted individuals unto poor unsuspecting victims. He has always been the soft heart rimmed in stone. He will not falter in the face of ill intending individuals in order to protect the victim. He is a noble man but that does not mean he will always fight honorably. Sabathiel is not afraid to stoop to an enemy's level of thinking to out do them in their own game; however, he will draw the line in not being as cruel as his enemies. He may be willing to throw a low blow once in awhile, but he would never torture a soul as a soul has tortured. He abides by his moral compass and what he believes to be right. He will avoid killing anyone, but he is not afraid to eradicate someone if he truly believed it necessary. He understands that not everyone can be saved and accepts that. Sabathiel will help anyone who asks him within reason. He is a stern man who rarely budges against his beliefs. He is a dauntless soul who will bare down upon any adversity, but not without intelligently thinking it through. He is an avid thinker, always pondering always observant of what goes on around him. He rarely misses much when present but he is not all knowing. He rarely judges until he witnesses something worthy of judging and therefore beholds an indifference to any party until they reveal what it is to be judged. This indifference is what makes him a reasonable man. He mostly unbiased, of course if you're a demon or renowned serial killer he'll reserve his right to see you as what you are and treat you as he sees fit.
A gentleman through and through without finding the necessity to ever raise his voice. He regards all with an even tone unless addressing someone worthy of his stern chill. He tries to view all as equal and will attempt to help everyone, but he is not a stupid man and will quickly realize a lost cause when it presents itself. Sabathiel prefers getting to the point, but if you need a shoulder to weep upon he is the sturdiest shoulder to support you. He will help shoulder your problems and he will help make you stronger, but he will also help you realize that you are the only one who can change your problems. He will not let others take advantage of his good will and will cut ties if they are considered toxic or non-conducive to the atmosphere he wishes to build.
History:
Sabathiel was the seventh son of a couple and the only son amidst six sisters. He was raised to be a gentleman and how to hold his temper. He was taught not to raise his voice unless it was necessary and even still it was never okay to raise his voice against a woman. His sire made sure he was aware of courtesies between genders, but also made him aware that both were equal. Sabathiel respected his sire, but knew he would not entirely follow his rules. Once Sabath got older, he parted from his beloved family to travel and settle down somewhere nice. Life had other plans for him. During his time roaming, Sabath ran into several different situations where he witnessed pillaging, rape, trafficking and other horrors the world could provide. It furthered his molding into the man he is today. His dreams to find a lovely land and settle with a family expanded into something more. Sabathiel began fighting back to free the enslaved and save the tortured. He gathered a bit of a following where he in turn guided the willing men to be soldiers for the weak. He eventually found a large span of land that became a sanctuary to rape victims, abused children, orphans and even elderly equines kicked from their herds or left behind to rot for their slow and feeble lives. Sabath built a land of rest for those who witnessed the wicked.
He met a beautiful maiden by the name of Chrysalis who was traumatized by slavery and made a proper mate with her. They had three wonderful children who grew to view the world as their father and mother did, full of hope and necessary to protect. When Sabath retired from his watchful throne his two oldest sons took up the mantle while his daughter took on a more herbalist interest. His daughter would help heal the wounded and was promptly swept off her feet by a rather courageous and wholesome soldier. Sabath and his mate were proud of their work and Sabath still helped his sons run the sanctuary. Things were beautiful and well governed. It was not long before his children birthed their own young and Sabath was able to help teach his grandchildren. He was living a golden long life, but being a renowned savior and interfering bad individuals often left a long line of enemies. One night the sanctuary was ambushed; however, even though the attackers were strong, Sabath's men and his sons were stronger. The Sanctuary held fast, but Sabath in his older age was wounded by a younger enemy.
Sabath's daughter tended to his wounds, but time was against him at last. Sabath passed within a few days due to an infection his body was not strong enough to fight. He only hoped that he left his family with the strength to endure and a vision to follow.
