Name- Apophis Breed- American Quarter Horse x Shire x Clydesdale Age- 5 Years Gender- Stallion Height- 18.3 hh Alliance- Dark Health- 100/100 Apophis stepped into the battlefields, head raised proudly to its full height. He finally seemed to be on Sailcat's more desirable side... She had appealed to him to step forward and take on this battle for her while she took care of other issues. Determined to do his best and be successful, he looked around himself. Soon enough, this battlefield would be filled with blood from the war. Today, however, it was his alone. His battlefield, his opponent, and his victory should everything work out how he planned. Kalila, the former queen of the Neutral Kingdom, was to oppose him for the fate of her mate... Apophis didn't know the exact situation that had prompted her to abandon her kingdom, but he could not avoid the mixed feelings that he felt in regards to her decision. Fury at the idea that a leader would lead her subjects into a war and just disappear. Curiosity and wonder as to why Kalila had undertaken what she did. Satisfaction at the fact that war with the Helkaer had been her undoing. Striding through the flat area, the perlino dun stallion glanced up at the gray sky. Snow would fall soon, but the ground around him was swept clean by the wind. He selected an area that was clear of debris and level. Standing tall and regal, proud of his position in the group that had ushered her to flee in the first place, he waited for her to appear. His charcoal eyes seemed to glint like obsidian. "Kalila! I do hope that the sight of a Helkaer will not urge you to flee and avoid this battle. Your mate's future lies in the balance... Would hate for you to overlook what will happen next." Apophis called out, gazing along the horizon to find the mare's smaller form. He would not be surprised by her appearance. That would make Respira furious if his opponent startled him. Funny how the pale stallion considered of what his mentor would think of the battle. He didn't even have knowledge of if Respira knew he was here. Well... She would definitely know when he came back bloody. Not like his coat would hide the crimson stains. Huge slate hooves pawed at the firm ground impatiently. The cold had frozen the soil and made it feel like rock rather than dirt. Flicking his cream hued ears back against his apricot mane, he considered how much a fall could hurt. No need psyching himself out before the battle began. As Apophis waited, he began to try to distance the chaotic thoughts from his mind. He needed to be in a place where he could think clearly and quickly. Words: 450+ Tag: ➳ T e c h n o ➳ Notes: 5 days to respond Hits: 0/3 used Dodges: 0/1 used 1. Hits:1. 2. 3. Injuries:1. 2. 3.

I know I used that first
to justify, but maybe that's not just a lie
The familiar grounds extended before her, the memory of her recent battle still fresh in her mind. It was hard to forget, she wore physical remnants of it on her hide. The muscle in her shoulder seared violently with each step she took. It was easy to see that she was favoring her front left leg as she entered the soiled snow. A figure stood in contrast with the horizon, the creature had a reddish tint to them. Kalila had moved close enough to hear his words drift on the breeze towards her. A surge of anger flooded through every inch of her frame. Her green orbs fixed themselves on him, and her rage towards herself was indiscernible from the rage she felt towards him. Kalila pinned her thorns atop her damaged crown. She flinched as the wind sliced along her fresh wounds, adding further insult to her injured body. Everything leading up until this point had left her feeling a rage she had never experienced before. With Divine’s harsh but accurate accusations, and losing the war she’d started, she was furious.
“It’s interesting that you paint me a coward before you’ve even laid eyes upon me. I wouldn’t dream of fleeing from this battle. My love for him rivals the heat of the sun, and I will burn incinerate anyone who gets between us. Starting with you.” She hissed with a violent tone that was foreign even to her. The Elder in her head had been quiet now. Divine’s voice was quick to take over and jab at her insecurities from within. Kalila was painfully aware of her disadvantage in this battle, both in height and in health. Her opponent was not compromised of flesh pulled taut over bone, nor did he sport any obvious injuries from the recent amalgamation of battles. Kalila drew in a steadying breath, not allowing her anger to overtake her ability to strategize this time. She wouldn’t be able to move as quickly this time, but she still favored the idea of getting in close to the red stag. Her dance was not nearly as deadly as the gray mare she’d just faced, though she craved to learn such a technique. Kalila began to move abruptly, a quick pace with short strides. Her movements were awkward from both her injury and the slippery ground beneath their feet.
Kalila didn’t need momentum to do damage, she just needed to be accurate. Kalila’s breath puffed from her nares in a steady rhythm as she moved. The bay mare moved directly towards the bronc, moving as quickly as she could towards his front. Her nape snaked out when she deemed herself close enough. A similar move to her previous battle. It had been satisfying to hear the struggle to breath from the gray beast, and she hoped to hear it rush from the red stag. Kalila snapped her enamels towards the front of his throat, hoping to strike if he wasn’t clever enough to use his head; literally. As she snaked her neck towards him, she lifted her front half off the ground, relieving some of the searing pain in her left shoulder. She aimed her right knee towards his trachea, hoping to slam into it just as she had with the gray mare she’d faced on the battle field. Kalila was prepared for the consequences of being so close to him, but equally determined to defeat him for Alistair.

Name- Apophis Breed- American Quarter Horse x Shire x Clydesdale Age- 5 Years Gender- Stallion Height- 18.3 hh Alliance- Dark Health- 90/100 “It’s interesting that you paint me a coward before you’ve even laid eyes upon me. I wouldn’t dream of fleeing from this battle. My love for him rivals the heat of the sun, and I will burn incinerate anyone who gets between us. Starting with you.” Apophis smirked. So she was not a quivering pile of flesh. He had expected to find her completely pathetic. Granted, she looked awful. The former queen was extremely thin and sustained injuries from a past confrontation. "We shall see about that... I am not one to give in to the words of a haughty mare." His charcoal eyes caught the favoring step and filed that for strategic moves as this battle progressed. He contemplated her as she approached, eyes wary and body ready to move. Apophis snaked his head to the right, causing her teeth to tear the muscle rather than the target that she intended. A searing pain ripped through his neck and forced him to flinch away further. Before he could think, her knee connected between his neck and shoulder on his right side. That would definitely bruise and hurt after the adrenaline wore off. Baring his teeth, the pale behemoth reached toward her left shoulder. He wanted to execute what he could to damage it while she was so tantalizingly close. Apophis snapped his ivory teeth in the direction of her shoulder muscle, hoping to render that leg completely useless. After bringing his head back, Apophis lifted up into a rear, trying to propel her away from his larger frame in order to organize for the next attack. Utilizing his height, the ghostly stallion extricated himself from her grip and leapt to the right. This deposited him on her left side, gazing at her with furious eyes. Elevating his cream hued head, he tried to decide what to do next. His neck throbbed where crimson blood seeped from his damaged flesh, the fluid moving down his nape and staining a path. He desired an end to this battle, not to linger. Jumping forward, he pivoted on his forelegs and sent his rear out toward the left side of her barrel. As his weight settled on his front legs, he felt that bruise even sharper. Apophis closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, forcing himself to bear the pain without faltering. Thankfully his neck hurt more than the bruise at the top of his right shoulder. As soon as his rear hooves had extended fully, he snapped them back under him and leapt forward to achieve a bit of distance between the pair once again. I know I used that first
to justify, but maybe that's not just a lie
Kalila had not paid attention to his comment, it drifted past her. She could feel her teeth sink into the firm portion of his neck, and was sorely disappointed she hadn't hit something more vulnerable. Her knee connected with his shoulder, again her trajectory was off. Kalila was frustrated, but not surprised by this outcome. Her injured shoulder must have been affecting her more than she'd realized. The pale creature made no sound of pain, but he reacted quickly. His teeth slammed down on her injured shoulder, causing an immense wave of pain to surge through her. Kalila felt as though she'd lost her breath. All the air rushed from her lungs at once, and she staggered a few steps away from him.
The pale beast showed no signs of ceasing his attacks. He pivoted his body and aimed to hit her left side once again. This was her most vulnerable side, and he was clever to pay attention to this fact. Kalila mimicked his movements and pivoted her frame towards her right, swinging her hindquarters towards him. Her back daggers flew into the air, hoping to strike him as he moved towards her. She could feel his hooves dig along the flesh of her right hip. It tore a path through her flesh with ease.
The gash stung when the wind caressed it. Blood oozed from the freshly torn skin. It flowed over bits of flesh that were left behind, attached uselessly to a larger section of flesh. Kalila's vision went black for a few moments from the pain. She drew a steadying breath to keep herself upright. She still didn't know if she'd earned another hit on the pale beast.
Kalila didn't want to waste any time. As soon as she registered her hind daggers were upon the ground again she moved away from him. She swung around once more using her right side more dominantly. Kalila started another charge towards the bronc, pain surging like a violent tidal wave through her bodice. Her teeth were grit together tightly. This battle was going to be over soon.
Kalila moved quickly towards his left side, aiming to rip his flesh open along his stomach. It could be a seriously damaging injury if she landed it. At least if she landed it correctly. Kalila reared up slightly while she snapped her teeth at him once more. Just high enough that it would reach the bottom of his stomach if he did not move away.

Name- Apophis Breed- American Quarter Horse x Shire x Clydesdale Age- 5 Years Gender- Stallion Height- 18.3 hh Alliance- Dark Health- 80/100 Apophis snarled softly as he felt her own iron hooves slice through the outer muscles of his right rear. He was furious that she had managed to connect with his frame in the process of his own attack. Moving forward, he spent a moment considering the damage to his leg. Blood was sliding down his pale form once again, mirroring the damage on his neck. Funny that her attacks seemed to focus on his right while he had been focusing on her left. Snorting, he tried to turn to confront her once again. Before he could get to a comfortable position for his next move, Kalila was on him again. She was attempting for his undamaged left side this time. He could see that the left shoulder was still bothering her, and he smirked. Calculating his move carefully, he leapt forward and to his left a bit to get out of the line of attack. This would subject him on her damaged side and he pivoted on his forelegs to kick out again. It may be a repeated attack, but he was hoping that she would not expect him to repeat. Angling his enormous rear hooves again, he struck out toward her shoulder. He was not expecting this hit to land, it was not the best positioned and she had an easy duck to her right to get out of the way. Moving forward, Apophis turned to encounter the smaller mare once again. His right rear was beginning to throb from the damage that she had done and he elevated it to attempt to relieve the pressure on his muscles. "I will grant you this... You are a determined opponent. Regardless of the outcome, your mate should be proud of your desire to defend him." He said, his words less venomous than they had started out. If things were different and he not on the side of the Helkaer, Apophis might even respect her for that. But he could not consider her without knowing that she had been the one to declare the war and then abandon her kingdom to fail.
