Tsul huffed as he stood for judgement. He had been here once before, he didn't understand why he must do it again. Why was he cast from the Underworld and sent back to this place? It was utterly irritating. It must be poor organizational skills on the leaders parts, for why should he be thrown out simply for not being around. It wasn't like that had been his fault anyway. For a moment he looked back and wondered if it was worth being judged. Being in the Underworld had been utterly boring. Yet he did have more power that way. Perhaps this time he would get wings instead of horns. They seemed a bit more useful after all. Turning his head back to a forward position he huffed again and then took a deep draw of whatever equaled as breath for the dead. "Oh leaders of the Underworld, hear my call and give me the stupid task already!" Well, perhaps not wise wording, but he was annoyed, agitated, and just ready to get this all over with again. Maybe it wouldn't be as boring this time around, or maybe he could torture his son a bit more. Who really knew? The black stallion waited rather impatiently for a answer to his call. 212 words | A z z y and/or Zohyd//

Akroma allowed herself to sit in silence while her mind raced through the past couple of days. So much had happened that it almost felt unreal. A conversation of self-doubt and wanting to do better for the Underworld, for Xerxes had turned out to be so much more. The two had finally both conceded and let their walls down. Part of Akroma wondered if it was because she allowed herself to be vulnerable towards the Lord after all this time. The meeting had really been her trying to seek advice to do better. To be better. She did not seem fit for the iron throne of Hell. She was not hard and calloused like so many before her. She should be gracing the Heavens of Utopia instead of ruling in the depths of Hell. Xerxes had faith in her though. He believed she was more than capable and her diplomatic nature was a strong asset. Frankly, he was just being kind. She tried to offer him the chance to have another rule by his side- but he had been quick to turn the thought down. He wanted her by his side. So she needed to ride to the occasion.
Oh leaders of the Underworld, hear my call and give me the stupid task already. The irritated tones cut through her thoughts in a harsh manner. Instinctively her audits flattened against her ivory and dun pelt, tucking tightly into her ebon locks. Manners were non existent it seemed these days- but did this beast really think that was the best way to move forward in earning a passage to Hell. Sixteen point three hand frame peeled herself from her position as feathered wings curled away from her curvaceous frame and began to carry her towards Asphodel. The drab land of in between that would drive even the most sane equine insane if they spent too long in such a bleak land with no purpose in the Afterlife. Mismatched gaze landed on an obsidian beast below. His Friesian heritage strong but his overall identity was unknown. He looked like every other Friesian that walked the lands of Wild Equines.
Akroma allowed herself to lower gently to the stony ground; gait moving at a leisurely walk while her matching patched and spotted wings curled back around her semi-leopard, overo frame. Impressive rack adorned in gold jewelry balanced easily upon her tucked, feminine dial. Features remained stoic. Unreadable to the stranger before her. She could easily reach into his mind and pull out all the information she sought; but best to give him a chance to speak first. Is it such a stupid task if it dost giveth ye a spot in thy designated resting place? Accented tones questioned the Friesian bastard with cool tones. She was the embodiment of ultimate power. He would be wise to play his cards a bit more skillfully. How am I to even believeth the Underworld is a good fit for ye? Saveth me the task of invading thy mind and tell me a bit about thyself. She demanded, not yet offering her name. Her position of a Lady would not be questionable... but her appearance often fell into the line of Utopia verses that of the Underworld.

Tsul faced the mare with a frown. Then he remembered his training, and the way he in turn had trained and gathered himself. The frown vanished, but he was still irritated enough for it to show in his gaze. "I've been in the Underworld already, and I am pretty sure Utopia wouldn't welcome me." He looked over the mare, he was sure this was not the lady ruler when he last tread the fiery depths as a horned soul. The mare asked of his deeds and he held back a huff. Though he was a bit rude by nature at times, this female was above him. Flicking his ears back at the thought he figured it was better to answer. It always made him uneasy that his thoughts could be seen without his permission. Not that he would ever say that out loud. "My deeds? Many have fallen to my hooves and teeth. I used to run a whole ring of your underworld. If that's even still around." After all there were new leaders, who even knew how they ran things now? "I ruled lands with a cold heart and a sharp mind" he raised his head proudly and found that she was shorter to him. Narrowing his eyes he looked her over again, he could see the signs of power, and had just figured that she was the proper Lady that he needed. Yet... S he looks like she is from the heavens. I wonder what misdeeds she performed to gain such a spot in death. A spark ignited within him, and he found himself looking forward to trying to find out. After all, someone who looked innocent, but was evil was very intriguing. 284 words | Zohyd// | Speech Thought

The attention of the stag had landed upon the she-devil; appearing to be slightly irritated with this all. Akroma wanted to say he was unique in his actions/ but that would be false. It seemed many she met in the land of in between were bitter. Did they not understand that she had the say of their destiny? She could deny them access to the Underworld and they would be stuck in this bleak world forever- or, at least, until they proved themselves. I've been in the Underworld already, and I am pretty sure Utopia wouldn't welcome me. Her questioning further only seemed to irritate the beast more. This caused an invisible brow to raise over her azure optic as her gaze narrowed in slightly upon the wanting beast. My deeds? Many have fallen to my hooves and teeth. I used to run a whole ring of your underworld. If that's even still around. I ruled lands with a cold heart and a sharp mind. he seemed proud, almost arrogant about his accomplishments- yet Akroma had not a clue who this beast was. He was foreign in sight and falling from the grasps of Hell to now seek entrance again?
Akroma was not here to play nice. She had tried to be cordial and professional- yet she was returned with irritation and arrogance. How would this beast feel to be put in his place so quickly in their encounter? Is my questioning bothering ye? I can leaveth and send for the Lord should ye findeth him more acceptable to answer to. Her words started, a part of her almost daring the beast to choose that option. Zeroes would rip this nobody to shreds if she had to send for him. His was naturally protective and to find out a wanna-be demon that was an ex-demon wasn’t showing respect to his potential leader when asked would not go well. Ye should not holdeth thy head so. Ye art seeking entrance once again to Hell- meaning either ye were exiled or left, thus making me question thy loyalty. I have been on Wild Equines a long time and yet ye art not familiar. The Underworld is not seeking dormant demons wanting to sit in Hell and enjoy a free ride with powers. Whatever Circle ye ran was probably just so. Words were now cold and calculative. She left no room for him to try and rebuttal- fighting back would just be stupid! I decide thy entrance to Hell and yet ye act as if I am wasting thy time. Giveth me a good reason I should not turn and leaveth ye here to simmer down for a while? He would now have to come up with something good. He would need to apologize and show her the respect she deserved. But was this beast smart enough to do so? She was about to find out.

Tsul felt anger rise within him at the mare's words. Why should it matter if she had heard of him or not? As for the exile part...he had admittedly been a bit absent from the Underworld, but at the same time had not been 'dormant'. "You think me some lazy lout?! Do not throw me into your assumptions." He moved his head, not in the least caring if she left him there now. "You may hold power over me, my lady, but that does not mean that you will break my spirit. I am the way I am, and naught can change that." He huffed and raised his head again. "Do as you see fit, I have no time to talk to children."He was sure he could still stir up trouble even without the powers the Underworld granted him. The large brute wouldn't even care if she summoned the King. He had been a leader, and his scars were worn proudly. The rulers didn't scare him, it wasn't like he could die again, so what was really the worst they could do? "If you think all of your demons respect you, you might want to rethink being on your throne. Tainted souls come through your gateway, you are bound to have those that would not bow so easily in the numbers." There was no way all that she ruled obeyed everything. There would always be those that disobeyed even with the proper bring up as well. The Underworld had changed much if they so readily turned away souls. Tsul wasn't completely sure he wanted to be a part of it anymore. 273 words | Zohyd//He is a proud idiot, I apologize lol

Akroma’s questioning was not unreasonable- yet this beast continued to act as if she were a pain in his side. Being Dark Queen and Lady of Hell she was not foreign to bad or sour attitudes. But the inability to show an ounce of respect for a superior- whether it meant biting your tongue was not a good look. Did these Afterlife creatures think they just deserved a spot in Hell. That they could just do a little task to earn their way in and that was it? You think me some lazy lout?! Do not throw me into your assumptions. he was quick to get riled up. Too quick. This was a sign of a guilty conscience and told her all she needed to know without digging any further. You may hold power over me, my lady, but that does not mean that you will break my spirit. I am the way I am, and naught can change that. Akroma was not here to break anyone’s spirit. She was probably the most understanding ruler to perhaps stand on the Hellfire throne. What she would not stand for was hotheaded idiots with big egos trying to act like they deserved something. Do as you see fit, I have no time to talk to children. Was this beast really that naive? Had he truly been a part of the Underworld because he was walking a very dangerous line. Xerxes would have ripped his tongue from his mouth by now... something Akroma was seriously considering doing. If you think all of your demons respect you, you might want to rethink being on your throne. Tainted souls come through your gateway, you are bound to have those that would not bow so easily in the numbers.
His questioning and arrogance had reached the final straw. Shut thy arrogant mouth and listen to me. Akroma stated cooly as barbed wire suddenly appeared and laced his disgraceful chops shut. Something Asmoday had done to her so many years ago. She did not stop there. This beast wanted to act all superior and confident but Akroma would not have it. He was nothing, he would remain nothing if he continued on this road. Slowly she began peeling strips of canvas from his obsidian pelt- this done merely with her mind and without much focus. The blood pooling to the surface. A soft, but firm reminder he could still feel pain and bleed. In a blink of an eye she would make the figment of imagination appear and the barn wire would be gone and the pain from peeling strips from his pain would be a haunting memory- but she wanted to speak first while he sat silently through the torturous pain.
The current demons art not so stupid to be so blatant in their disrespect. I hath been around a long time, Tsul. Ye art not thy first bastard to try and overcompensate the size of his cock with a piss attitude. Tsul needed to truly recognize the situation he was in and learn self restraint to get where he wants to go. Asphodel will offer ye nothing. No power. No breeding rights. No true form. Ye will heal slowly and the useless life will drain thee. Perhaps his acceptance into The Underworld the first time had been quick. Some time in Asphodel might do this brute some good. Akroma allowed her curvaceous, sixteen point three frame to close the distance between herself and the foolish beast. Her mind continuing to peel strips of wasted pelt off his frame and dropping them towards the drab floor. Velvet maw reached for a single audit as a soft purr escaped her vocals to pass along to him. I hath what ye seeketh and I can destroy thy very being even in Asphodel. So put thy small cock away, recognize superior power and let us try this again, eh?
Akroma was an attractive and seductive creature. Mixed with infinite power left her a bit of a wild card and Goddess mixed together. She belonged to Xerxes but that did not mean the Lady of Hell could not remind these testosterone men that she deserved what she had fought to gain. With her words finishing up she turned away from the beast, although her sense never pulling away should he be so foolish to try and attack. She allowed the barb wire to slip free and his peeled pelt to be returned. It was so easy to control and cause pain, did he realize that yet? Dial shifted slightly as her azure optic turned to look back towards the now freed beast. Walk with me Tsul. Proveth ye can act appropriately to get what ye want before I let ye rot in Asphodel. She offered him a daring smirk as her curvy frame began to waltz away. Akroma was not asking him to kneel before her and obey her beckon call. She did not want “yes boy” demons to be their whipping boys. But if he thought showing such disrespect and irate behavior was going to get the result her wanted... he would be sorely mistaken. He was seeking approval and acting like a complete asshole; surely he didn’t think the She Devil would lie over and take it.

Tsul sneered at her words even while his body was in pain. What was she trying to prove precisely? She spoke of power and he huffed, looking away from her and to the still world around them, sure he craved power, but it was not in the way she obviously thought. The black stallion didn't truly care about breeding either, he had enough children still in the living world. He held no love for them anyway. At the mention of life he looked back at her with a unimpressed expression. He was already dead, what life was there here? If she meant that his spirit would fade, then she should word it that way. At the mention of destroying him, and the current experience of his flesh being ripped from him...well, he supposed he could admit he was a bit impressed. Tsul sneered again at being called small, and then she was moving away, telling him to follow. He was not some dog. He was a leader, and the last time he had followed was... Tsul quickly shut those thoughts down, his ears going back and he ground his teeth before moving to follow her. He only kept an eye on her enough to keep up, his expression schooled and his fury held back for now. 217 words Zohyd//

The obsidian beast before her seemed less than pleased with the scenario he found himself in. His gaze was often found adverted to the bleak world that surrounded them. Was he trying to contemplate if he was ready to spend the rest of his days in this miserable world. It would offer him nothing. Was he truly okay with such a thing? He acted as if death meant nothing. That he had already lived in the mortal realm and he could not live again in the afterlife. Sure they didn’t consume oxygen or nutrients- but they still lived. They still felt emotion and pain. Now was the time to truly make good choices as this was where forever was about to begin. With breathing life you are promised death at some point. What about the afterlife though?
Her words were triggering to any brute. They were offensive and reason to strike- but she did that just so. He needed to learn a set of manners and a bit of respect, or at least fake it, before she even considered bringing the beast in Hell. If he tried to act up in the pits of Hell and Xerxes were the one to cross his path... well; that beast better wish his soul could somehow die and he would disappear. He was the epitome of Lord of Hell. The spot seemed to mold to his physique and brain wave perfectly. Xerxes had been born for such a role where he would not have to check his manners or his politics. He had been young and dumb- often something Akroma scolded him for. But now... even with his maturity, his actions fit him and The Underworld so well. He would be a Lord that others talked about. He would go down in history.
As she turned to walk away she could already sense him following. His emotions wrangled in for the time being as he tried to prove he could behave. It was much more control than he had offered up in the beginning. Perhaps the naive beast was realizing that her power was beyond anything he would ever consume and she truly could destroy him. She was the Lady of Hell- he had to expect it. Dial swiveled as a single optic looked back towards the following creature. He offered nothing which left her unimpressed overall. Tsul, what art ye capable of that ye thinketh would impress me enough to earn a spot in The Underworld? So often creatures came wanting a task to earn their passage... it was about time they started offering up what they could do that would make them worthy of such a spot.

Tsul turned his attention to the lady as she spoke again. "I already told you of my skills, as I recall, you were unimpressed." It had not been long ago, surely she could remember that far back. The black steed turned his gaze away again, going over the words himself then huffing. Perhaps she wanted him to be more clear. "I can fight, and have been known to be...strategic. I ran my herd in life with the policy that if they did not follow what was taught and ordered, then they would die." The black stallion scowled for a moment "I would have to say that my biggest failures were growing old, and my only son." He turned his gaze to the mare again "That was in life though, apparently you believe I have more failures than that." Tsul supposed that from her point of view that it was true. He turned his gaze away and felt a bit of his fury rise, though it was more towards himself than anything else. He was so strict on others following his orders, that applying that to mean that he should do the same for those he followed had never truly crossed his mind. When he came to the Underworld the first time he had strove to reach the throne so that he could lead again. When that turned sour, he had focused on being reborn so that perhaps he could rule the dark lands above. Now...now he was just a nobody spirit, with not even the events of his life to leave an impression on his new rulers. "I was thirty six when I died, and to your eyes it was a life wasted." He huffed "I can't find in myself to disagree with you, and that infuriates me." 300 words Zohyd//

I already told you of my skills, as I recall, you were unimpressed. It was evident that he had misunderstood her question exactly. Apparently she would need to be more direct in her questioning. She had not said she was unimpressed- it was the fact that he no longer sat in the Underworld that had brought everything to question. So many before in the Underworld had sat inactive and lived on a free ride of power. Where did he fall on that scale? He seemed irritated to have to repeat himself which Akroma could understand. She was not trying to ask for him to repeat why he was worthy of the Underworld. She wanted him to pick his task. One that he thought would be worthwhile to earn him back a spot in the Underworld. I can fight, and have been known to be...strategic. I ran my herd in life with the policy that if they did not follow what was taught and ordered, then they would die. His ruling style seemed immature and foolish. But that was a lifetime ago and not her herd to comment on. It didn't concern her. I would have to say that my biggest failures were growing old, and my only son. That was in life though, apparently you believe I have more failures than that. Her gaze turned sharp as she glanced back towards the obsidian beast. I was thirty six when I died, and to your eyes it was a life wasted. I can't find in myself to disagree with you, and that infuriates me. Ye will stop assuming my thoughts; it makes ye even more foolish. Words left no room for discussion or rebuttle on the matter. It was not up for debate or a chance to talk back. If he dared to try she would put him in his place once again. If ye want my truthfu thoughts it would be ye must not of been that feared or hard of a leader if ye hath lived such a long life. Not enemy enemies. She let her muscular shoulder roll as she pushed the subject aside- making it clear she didn't really care to touch more on his past life or go into further discussion about her thoughts on how tough he thought he was. The most feared and powerful do not life a long life.
Let me reword my request. What do ye want thy request to be to earn thy spot into The Underworld? Instead of me granting a request tell me exactly what ye art going to do. Do it. And then let us see if it earns ye passage. All he needed to say was his request and Akroma wanted to see if he can deliver. What did he want to do that he thought was worth passage to Hell itself.

Tsul looked to her sharply "I had plenty of enemies. They fell to my hooves just as those who disobeyed did." He made a motion with his head to indicate his body "I did get wounded, but nothing mortal." He still bore his scars, seeing no reason to hide them. They were a part of who he was after all, proof that he was strong enough to survive. "Though I do admit some are from my sire" he knew she didn't care, but at this point nor did he. He was truly out of patience with her. "Also, I do not imagine to know what you think. You said you were unimpressed, that is different no?" He then stopped at her final words and actually scowled. "I believe it is your job to hand over tasks, and not my own to come up with something. What sort of leader pawns off their duties to their subjects, or even those who wish to be a subject?" Tsul paused, sure she would cause him pain again, but then huffed and shook his head. "I could steal a soul of someone for you, or perhaps that is not within my power. I have no clue what sort of freedoms I have in this land of in between, so please do enlighten me so I may chose a proper task." Her words had seemed to hit yet another soft spot on the beast- oh how he got offended so easily. I had plenty of enemies. They fell to my hooves just as those who disobeyed did. I did get wounded, but nothing mortal. She still found herself truly questioning just how many enemies he thought he had and their capabilities. It was not unlike brute’s to over exaggerate their wins and what they went through to make themselves sound superior. Just another way for them to sound foolish, really. Though I do admit some are from my sire. Akroma was not certain if this was him trying to bait the hook and if he wanted her to inquire about something she did not care for. They all had scars. They all went through shit. Not like her Sire was the greatest either but she didn’t go around trying to bait others into her past. Akroma said nothing on the subject; honestly not wishing to waste any more of her breath on the obsidian stag.
Also, I do not imagine to know what you think. You said you were unimpressed, that is different no? He continued to try and find contradictions in her words when he was not reading them on a base level. He thought he was smart and cunning when it was clear he was thick skulled and not very bright. Would Xerxes truly want a demon this daft in the Underworld? I believe it is your job to hand over tasks, and not my own to come up with something. What sort of leader pawns off their duties to their subjects, or even those who wish to be a subject? A hideous scowl crossed his less than handsome features. She was not trying to pawn off her job- she was trying to gauge this beast’s ability to think for himself and what kind of destruction he truly thought he could accomplish. By his reaction he seemed to lack any means of creativity and Akroma would be damned if he expected her and Xerxes to babysit him by handing him tasks left and right if he made it to the Underworld. I could steal a soul of someone for you, or perhaps that is not within my power. I have no clue what sort of freedoms I have in this land of in between, so please do enlighten me so I may chose a proper task. He again seemed perfectly content wanting to push the decision off to her. How pathetic. In Hell we doth not babysit ye. It will be thy responsibility to create thy own destruction for the most part- we doth not hath time to hand all the demons to-do lists. Her words flat in tone etched with a bit of stern. The semi-leopard, overo wench making it clear that this kind of behavior is frowned upon and wouldn’t be tolerated if he tried to pull such shit as a demon. There is a wench by the name of Kida. She once belonged in Lachlan Breck and then to a beast named Jigsaw. Find her whereabouts and who the sire is of her latest kin.
And with that Akroma turned away from the beast and let her limbs carry her off a few feet. Feathered wings spread from her curvaceous frame as she took flight and soared across the bleak sky. That was all the information he would get. He would need to use his brain to gather information instead of trying to use his so-called brawn. It was time he learned a bit about tracking those down in Wild Equines and how some family trees were put together. Akroma did not dislike Kida. She was a Light wench living under the safety of Incognito and Zephyr. Akroma, honestly, didn’t have the heart to kick her from the herd and had let her stay. But she was not so upset when Jigsaw had taken her… that was not the case for those closer to Kida. Last Akroma herd Sephora and Khalon had removed those not of the Dark Alliance from the herd and wondered if Kida had converted to stay in the land she had known for so long or if she had found a new home amongst strangers.
