This... was it. The place of judgement. The place Everest had spoken of, where someone like her was supposed to go when life was over, rather than the aimless meandering she had been doing ever since the moment of her death. The innocent soul did not know precisely what to expect, though she was sure Everest had done his best to explain it. It was, she felt, simply not one of those things you could truly prepare yourself for ahead of time. Especially when everything about this scenario seemed so alien. She could not recall hearing about anything like what seemed common enough in these lands back where she came from and where her life had ended. Did equines here have an easier time when their lives ended, knowing what came next? It was a question she had found herself pondering lately, ever since she had met Everest. Not that it was a question he could really answer, seeing as he had never exactly lived in the sense that a mortal such as herself did. Which... admittedly had been a startling revelation. Albeit, a great deal of what she was learning could be said to be startling revelations. When you knew pretty much nothing, it was all fairly unexpected, after all.
At any rate, she knew at least a little bit more now. Most important of all perhaps, it sounded as though going through judgement and having a home in the afterlife was her best chance at finally being able to find Caseille. If nothing else, maybe others who dwelt in the afterlife would be able to help her? Everest had already been exceedingly helpful and she could not be more grateful for the fact that he had found her. And, more importantly, been willing to help her. It was at his suggestion that she was here and that now she specifically sent forth a silent plea to Lord Xerxes or Lady Mictecacihuatl. How long it would take before a response came, Eilidh did not know, but she did not worry. Patiently, the innocent soul settled in to wait, content to observe her surroundings curiously. Character;; Eilidh Tagged;; A z z y w/Xerxes or Roman w/Mictecacihuatl (or both xD) Notes;; I hope what I've said regarding Everest is okay, Azzy. Let me know if you want anything changed!

Everything felt right within the afterlife, Mictecacihuatl is exactly where she is meant to be, as Lady of The Underworld. To be fawned over and prayed to, silent and loud pleas all begging for the blood and bone woman's attention, worshipping Teca like she had always meant to be. It breathed life into her spiritual body and confirmed her steadfast belief that she is the Queen that the mortal and Undead world needed, it made her wonder if one day she could get Utopia to follow her rule and cast away the fake idols they currently call their lord and lady. It was all an act, a show that the Utopians put on, self-righteous like the sun shines out of their behinds as they claim that they're morally good. Mictecacihuatl could see through it, the hidden bloodhounds they kept hidden and one day she was sure the beasts will be released, but of course not in sight of any supporters. The ever-so-good image they had of themselves had to be preserved as they try to place themselves higher than the Underworld, at least The Underworld are clear in their intentions and never hid who or what they truly are. Currently they held the Lord of Utopia in their grasps, information only known by four equines that Teca knew of, she being one of them. If asked, Teca would be happy to gloat and praise the demons that had made it possible, but for now she wanted the Utopians to scramble, she wanted them to come to their own conclusions and come face her and Lord Xerxes if they had the courage to do so.
Inner musings had been disturbed when a silent plea invaded Teca's grey matter, causing the Lady to stop in her tracks and turn back to Asphodel, curious as to why such an innocent-sounding creature had called for her and Xerxes. Being a child, the Lady expected them to just call for anyone, it was odd for a foal to know her by name. Had someone set them up to this task? Is this a trick or had someone of the Underworld put in a "good" word? Mictecacihuatl was never one to shy away from a possible follower or a challenge, should this turn out to be a trick to try and capture her, Teca will not come quietly. A small child dressed in the same colours as herself could be spotted in the distance, yet her soul did not feel like it belonged to a 6-month-old, that it has been around longer than the child has lived. Curiosity pulled the fancy-dressed woman closer, her tiara held high yet tilted slightly as she eyed the filly. "I am Mictecacihuatl, one of the two that you have called for. What is it that you seek?," Teca spoke in even tones with a soft edge, not wanting to scare the filly off shortly after arriving. At this point of time, Teca did not reveal her status, unsure if it is already known or to what reason she may have been sent.

(: I hope this is ok, been quite busy and currently exhausted but saw you've been waiting <3 Before Teca knows of Everest's disappearance.

Patiently though the innocent soul waited, Eilidh could not help pondering how long she might need to wait. She wished that she had thought to ask Everest, but of course it was too late now. She also could not help wishing that he had been able to come with her. Having her new friend beside her while she faced whatever was to come would have been a comfort indeed. Yet, she supposed Everest had other duties to attend to. Perhaps at this very moment he was helping another poor, lost soul, just as he had helped her. A smile touched her lips at the thought. Maybe once she was settled and had hopefully located Caseille, she could do the same? Eilidh had always enjoyed helping others, even as young as she had been in life. To have the possibility of helping others even with her mortal life over... and to do so alongside the one who had helped her would be wonderful!
Further contemplation along such lines came to an end, however, as an elegant figure unlike any Eilidh had ever seen before came into view. Everest had described both Lord Xerxes and Lady Mictecacihuatl for her... but description hardly seemed to do the Lady justice. Eilidh had never put much thought into her own appearance before, but she felt very small and drab and insignificant in comparison to the winged immortal. She felt her heart beat faster with nerves... or at least, she'd have thought she felt it do so, but then, given she was no longer in her mortal body, did she even still have such an organ? Or lungs to draw in breath? Or... So many questions and, up until meeting Everest, no one to answer them. Again she felt a pang, wishing for his presence, but was swift to focus the whole of her attention on the elegant Lady before her.
In moments, the Lady was addressing the innocent soul, saying, "I am Mictecacihuatl, one of the two that you have called for. What is it that you seek?"
Eilidh was uncertain what the proper protocol might be in addressing or even being in the presence of a powerful immortal such as this. Another question she wished that she had remembered to ask of Everest. She opted for lowering her head respectfully, answering, 'Thank you for coming, my Lady. I am Eilidh. Everest... he told me to find you or Lord Xerxes. That you could help me find a home in the Afterlife. He said you might have a task for me?' Character;; Eilidh Tagged;; Roman w/Mictecacihuatl Notes;; To sum up... the idea is that Everest will have convinced Eilidh to join the Underworld (even if that's pretty much the opposite of where she'd likely have ended up without his prompting, lol). And then leave her high and dry, so to speak. Of course, given the timing, I guess it's a little more of an unintentional abandonment than initially planned. xD At any rate, she's supposed to get to the Underworld and at some point will be meeting Nehemiah while he's captive, where she'll find out about the other half of the Afterlife -- which at this point she isn't even aware exists... lol And hopefully some part of this was coherent. haha

The world around them remained silent as the grave and just as motionless. This was the only place that sat frozen in time, many different times at that with the flora displaying colouration from each season. The plants themselves were also at different stages of life, from bud to wilt, never changing. Dim lighting hid how truly bright and radiant the Underworld Lady is, yet by the faces of the many, including this filly, Teca still was quite a sight to behold. Sometimes it seemed others did not expect an Underworldian to be so decorated, to enjoy the trinkets that add to her already beautiful and sleek self, but why must those deemed evil look just as horrible? This was something that Teca has now decided she will ask someone one day, what their image of the Underworld is or be should in their eyes, to get an insight from a mortal.
The Lady shifted, readjusting her weight as she cocked a hind hoof, watching the younger equine attentively. Every new meeting brought a promise of something different, most ended with Teca gaining a new follower for the Underworld. Eilidh lowered her tiara in a show of respect before her young vocals were released, bringing information to Teca's ears. "Thank you for coming, my Lady. I am Eilidh. Everest... he told me to find you or Lord Xerxes. That you could help me find a home in the Afterlife. He said you might have a task for me?", it seems Everest had been busy gaining new followers using deceit, it is quite curious as to why he had chosen this child to taint and damn to a life in the Underworld. Mictecacihuatl was happy to oblige, it's almost a game to Teca to see how long it will take to either break or corrupt gentle souls.
The image of Xerxes filled the Lady's mind for a moment, her partner in crime and co-ruler of all those who don't suit the heavenly creatures. Did he know of Everest's doings or even her own when they both so freely hunted the souls of the equines that are yet to be dirtied, though would he really care as long as the devilish numbers rise and the Heavenly ones decline. A gentle hum escaped Teca for a moment, eyes warm as she gazed at the child, "Everest, yes, he's a good boy. I'm guessing he made quite the impression on you? But yes, he is right, the Lady of the Dead will welcome you home after a simple task." Humming followed once more as the blood and bone woman thought of something an innocent could do without catching wind that she is of the underworld, it didn't take long for her to come up with something, "You are to find a child of the light, find out any information about their home or herd, and if there has been any trouble as of late. Report to me once you're done, Eilidh and you will be welcomed home". Teca chose a foal rather than an adult as a child is easier to get information out of without getting suspicious. An adult equine would ask questions, ones that Teca didn't need Eilidh being asked and in turn, making her question just who Teca is.

Eden itself had been a place unlike anything Eilidh had ever seen before. Yet compared to the glory of the Lady before her, the surroundings seemed dull. And her own small self seemed incredibly drab. The two-toned filly had never been one to really care about her appearance, happy enough with life and everything about it. Nor had death changed that she had not cared about her appearance, at least not in the sense of vanity. Yet now... she felt the inklings of unfamiliar tendrils of an emotion she had never experienced before. Envy. Too tiny to even be noticeable, especially by the innocent soul, yet kindled into existence nonetheless. Overwhelmingly what she felt, however, was awe. And once again, she wished very much that Everest could have been present with her when she approached these Afterlife leaders who could give her a home.
Deception was an utterly foreign concept to the innocent soul and it never once occurred to her for an instant that he could have been lying to her at any point in time during their conversation. Or that there was a possibility that he had just so happened to completely omit the mention of there being another Afterlife faction to which she could have appealed. Such a sweet-natured, gentle soul would have seemed destined for a place in Utopia, yet it had been the Underworld's leaders to whom she had unwittingly called. All at Everest's behest.
A gentle hum uttered by the Afterlife Lady immediately drew Eilidh's fully and undivided attention, meeting the warm gaze of the ethereally beautiful Lady. "Everest, yes, he's a good boy. I'm guessing he made quite the impression on you? But yes, he is right, the Lady of the Dead will welcome you home after a simple task."
Eilidh could not quite identify the emotions she felt as Lady Teca spoke of Everest. Perhaps had she been a little more experienced in life, she would have recognized the rather intense crush she had developed for the handsome young fiend she had met. She found herself nodding, answering, 'I'd probably still be lost if he hadn't helped me.' Though she wanted to ask where he might be, if she could see him after her task was completed, in the end it hardly seemed respectful to be bombarding the Lady of the Dead with such questions.
Instead, she listened intently as Lady Teca said, "You are to find a child of the light, find out any information about their home or herd, and if there has been any trouble as of late. Report to me once you're done, Eilidh and you will be welcomed home."
Eager, eyes alight, Eilidh answered, 'I will, my Lady.' Perhaps whatever information she discovered could be used to help this child of the light? 'Thank you, Lady Mictecacihuatl! May I go now and complete this task?' Character;; Eilidh Tagged;; Roman w/Mictecacihuatl Notes;; It's perfect! <3 Haha, poor Eilidh thinking she'll be helping somebody when... chances are, probably not in the way she'd be thinking. xD

It was painfully obvious how vain Teca is, one look at her and you could see just by her decorations that her appearance is important to her. No one knew of the importance of these decorations though, how she had carried them since Teca was a foal, gifted to her by her birth herd. The paint on her face and neck was put there by her past companion, a little Tamarin monkey, and that decoration was just as dear to her as the foliage in her hair. Xerxes might know if he ever dwelled inside her mind, digging through her past life to see what kind of woman she is before he made her the Underworlds Queen. While her past had a very violent beginning, Teca had never hurt another, though others have fallen due to the words she had uttered... but they were only figments created by her delusions. Imagine what the living equines and even the dead would think of Mictecacihuatl if they ever found out that the Lady of Darkness had clean hooves, cleaner than those in Utopia.
In time Teca would expect young Everest to take his father's place as Lord of The Underworld, she knew no other child of Xerxes currently in the Underworld other than the one they shared. When this change in Lords would happen was something Teca could not predict, her time beside Xerxes may be short or may be long, it all depends on when he felt it was time to pass the torch. Little Eilidh nodded, answering Teca's comment about Everest, "I'd probably still be lost if he hadn't helped me," considering the child is not a fresh soul straight out of the corpse, it was very likely that she would still be wandering the mortal planes as a ghost, clueless as to the life they should be having in the Afterlife. It was strange though, Teca was sure that every new soul automatically arrived in Asphodel, but this filly must be a special case or she simply wandered out without knowing where she is.
Eilidh was looking at Teca now with bright, eager eyes, it seems that the Lady's task was one that child approved of greatly. "I will, my Lady.Thank you, Lady Mictecacihuatl! May I go now and complete this task?", Certainly an eager little one, ready to race off to find a Light child, though little did she know that Teca had plans to seek out the child that Eilidh finds, and to corrupt the child if possible. "Yes my Darling, you may go. Remember to return here and call for me once more when you have completed your task. I look forward to seeing you again and hearing about the Child you have chosen to help," With a sickeningly sweet smile, Teca tossed her tiara as a way of sending the child off on her mission, then turned to leave the area in search of another soul, one a little more personal to her.
