It seemed of late that life was in a constant state of transience. Nothing remained stable and the same, always changing. Evereve could not say that she necessarily disliked such a path as life seemed to take. However, she had most assuredly been observing that her best friend was struggling with the fact that things kept changing. Ever since the fire that had swept through Toxin Raj, Eve knew that Aaradhya was having trouble with everything that had happened. Though Toxin Raj was still there, still a herd and land within the Helkaer territory, and though the land itself had really not changed aside from whatever remnants of damage the fire had left behind. Yet it had somehow ceased to be home for the two friends. For herself, Eve suspected it was Respira's absence that had left her feeling like Toxin Raj was no longer the same place she had loved.
Waking up in a place you'd thought safe, choked by smoke, certainly did not encourage a fondly homey feeling either, of course.
Eve knew that the disappearance of Aaradhya's father also had the Draft femme worried. No one seemed to know what had become of him, where he might be, or whether he was even still alive. Of course, there was the likelihood that if he had passed away, surely he would have made contact from the Afterlife long before now. In these lands, death was really not so much of a hurdle as one might think, considering how active the Afterlife was in mortal goings-on. Thus, the fact that they had heard nothing from Atreyu as yet seemed to suggest to Eve that he was still alive, at least. Whether that was a good thing or not, considering they had no idea where he was... well, she tried to distract Aaradhya from thinking along such lines.
The most recent change -- namely, that the name of this particular land and the Helkaer who ruled it had changed -- might be less dramatic than some of what had been through in recent years. Yet Eve knew it still bothered Aaradhya, no matter how small the change. Not when it all came on top of everything that had come before. At any rate, no matter what they might be feeling, Eve had decided it was important they figure out who had taken over. And whether they wanted to stay on or... figure something else out. Knowing who was in charge and what they were like would be an important task.
This meant, of course, that they had to locate where their new leader might be spending time. Eve pitched a whinny that would signal her interest in meeting the equine to have taken Undead Legion's place, without bugling such a signal to all of the Outlands.
