Tsul looked around himself, he had once before been to this valley, though then it had been in the deep of night. Now the sun was out and he could see his offspring making the rounds of the borders. He gave a huff, his golden orbs tracking the movement for a few moments before making his presence known. When he did, he grinned at his sons reaction, knowing that the lad could never mistake his fathers call for any other. Slowly his son faced him, then he approached, holding his body as a leader would. Well, at least he had kept that part of his learning after his little insubordination. Tsul raised his head, and posed himself as well. He would not bow to his sons dominant stance, not when he had always been above the lad.
Tsul had noticed that his son was the only equine here. He spared no time pointing it out of course. "Where is that slut of a mare and your offspring son? Why do you roam this land alone?" he saw a flicker of emotion pass on his sons face. Hate, sadness, confusion, all good signs for his intentions. He grinned wickedly, a habit he had fallen into of late was showing his own emotions. Now that he was dead he saw no reason not to. He didn't need to give a damn what others might think of weakness, he only cared about causing this upstart in front of him pain. "Are they gone then? Leaving you all alone....and you have yet to gain any herd members as well. Pity." his eyes practically flashed as he held back malicious laughter. His son was close to breaking, he could feel it. He just had to make sure that the lad broke in the right direction.

Durg heard his fathers call as he patrolled his lands, and froze in shock. How could that beast be here of all places, and how did he get past him? He moved his head slowly, not really wanting to face the stallion who had raised him. There he was though, a giant black bulk that looked stronger than Durg remembered. The smaller stallion moved forward, best to face the beast head on instead of avoiding the meeting. His father spoke and of course the words affected him greatly, just as his father had intended. He hated that his father had that sort of effect on him. "The mare and colt died. I sent my daughter away to different lands."
Durg flicked his ears back, and met his fathers eyes, and saw the horns. So his father was dead, and that also explained how he had passed Durg's notice. His father spoke again, golden eyes flashing as they often did when he wanted to laugh. Laughter had been something that had never passed between the two, even the smile that his father currently bore had been a foreign thing at the time. Was his father going crazy in the Underworld? Or had he simply stopped caring? Durg guessed that the latter was closer to the mark, seeing as his fathers mind was quite sound even as his body had grown weak. "I will gain members in time father...surely you did not come here just to mock me." of course Durg knew that this was perhaps the reason for the visit. He had lived with this beast for most of his life after all, and could guess the motive well enough.
