Dark clouds scuttled across the sky, threatening to veil the sun as a surprisingly chilly breeze teased at the stallion's mane and tail. Briskly, Telchar shook his head, peering up at the sky for a moment. It did not look like it was going to rain just yet... but it looked like it was definitely threatening to at some point. Not the best sort of weather to be out and about. Especially if you were specifically out looking for clues that might lead to locating missing equines. Which was precisely what Telchar and other members of his family were doing at present. Even little Owain in Dimato Meadow seemed determined to help. Not that there were likely to be any clues within the land set aside for the youngsters of Wild Equines. However, who knew... maybe that was exactly where the clues were? For some reason.
It certainly would be the least expected place to find clues.
Not like any of them had found anything yet in other, more expected locations. And considering they had been looking ever since the coronation, was there any reason to discount a location just because it seemed completely unlikely? You would think they would be getting good at this searching for clues thing. It had been a while since they had first begun searching for Owain's father, Axel. Before that, they had been trying to find Sephenia. It was chance alone that had led to the recent, unexpected reunion. At the coronation, of all places.
A slight smile touched the smoky black's maw at the recollection. Of course... there were some disturbing aspects of it all. On the other hand, to finally have a member of the family back that they had feared they might never see again? It was incredible! Perhaps this success was a good omen for finding others who were missing? Character;; Telchar Tagged;; Open Notes;; <3 Timeline;; He is 7 yrs old; early fall, midday.

It was a bit of a dreary day today, with the clouds thick and heavy, hinting toward potential rain. The autumn air was chilled, each breeze bringing with it the sound of rustling leaves. The world had turned into hues of oranges, yellow, and red. It was beautiful. But the Free Lands wasn't nearly as beautiful as her home in Tremala Woods! Tremala was the most beautiful place in the world, especially in the fall as the leaves changes colors and fell to the ground. As a younger girl, she had enjoyed frolicking through the leaves, kicking them and tossing them around as she giggled and played. But she was older now and didn't have much time for playing anymore. She was in that middle ground age of not knowing what to do with her life, but adults were expecting her to start carrying more weight on her shoulders. As exciting as more responsibilities sounded, it also sounded rather daunting and she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life. Healer? Warrior? Something else altogether? Humming quietly to herself, Jaemaree wandering through Iosis Lake, wondering what the day would bring her. Would she meet someone while out in the Free Lands today, perhaps make a new friend? Or would the others occupying the lake today feel no need to speak with her? There was only one way to find out, she figured, so the curly coated spotted maiden wandered somewhat aimlessly through the terrain, her quiet humming filling the air around her. More than once, as he strode carefully along, Telchar cast a glance toward the sky. So far, however, at least beyond the hint of potential rain, there did not seem to be any actual sign of it for sure just yet. Of course, chances of finding clues were slim anyway and chances were anything that had been was long ago washed away. However, that did not stop the seven-year-old stallion from keeping an eye out for anything amiss, anything that caught his eye. Just... anything that might reveal a clue. A hint as to where the missing equines might be. If he could succeed... if they could be found... There was nothing quite as wonderful as finding someone who had been lost. That was a fact Telchar knew from personal experience. Or at least, from witnessing how his family felt when first Melyra and then Sephenia were found. The difficulties of searching were all worthwhile when success finally came, of that much he had no doubt whatsoever. It was what had kept them all searching, no matter how slim the chances. It was what had led them to offer their aid to the Light Royals in finding those they were missing.
And it was what kept Telchar searching now.
A soft humming sound was what slowed Telchar to a stop, head lifting to scan the area once more. Where the land around him had been quiet before, with no one else to be seen, it looked like that was not the case anymore. Especially not fairly close at hand, where a spotted filly meandered. She looked to be no more than a year old and he glanced around, wondering if any other family might be nearby. Not wanting to frighten the youngster, Telchar kept his steps slow, a warm smile upon his maw as he nickered a greeting to the filly.
'Enjoying the lake?' he queried. Inclining his head, he added, 'I'm Telchar.' Character;; Telchar Tagged;; fleabittengray w/Jaemaree Notes;; Thanks for joining <3 Timeline;; He is 7 yrs old; early fall, midday.

x JAEMAREE As lost in thought as the youth was, Jae did not immediately notice the older equine approaching her. She was walking near the shoreline of Iosis Lake, pondering over what life might have in store for her. She did not know what path she wanted to voyage down, in her life. She wondered about her sisters, too, what paths they would journey down. There was still time to figure it all out. Jae sometimes pondered over the position of Queen. She had royal bloodlines, thanks to her father, who was no longer around but he had been King of the Neutral Kingdom at one point. She wondered what had ever became of him... where he'd gone... A soft sigh was expelled from the yearling's muzzle and she inched a little closer to the clear surface of the lake. The curly-haired, spotted maiden lowered her velvet muzzle toward the surface of the lake, her breaths causing the surface of it to ripple slightly, distorting her reflection. Jae stared at herself, if only for a moment, and smiled at her reflection. She liked what she saw. She was pretty. Nothing too spectacular or stunning, but... pretty, nonetheless. She was mid sip of water when she realized someone was approaching her. Jae lifted her head slowly, so as not to choke, swallowing the water and licking the droplets from her lips. Her head turned to look at the older gentleman approaching her, skeptical but not unfriendly, a polite smile stretching across her still moistened lips. 'Enjoying the lake?' The girl gave a nod, inhaling the crisp autumn air and letting it out in a soft sigh. 'I'm Telchar.' She did not recognize his name, nor his appearance, but he seemed friendly enough! "Hi! I'm Jaemaree." A brief pause as she turned his face up toward the sky, ears twitching as she watched the clouds, heavy and gray, slowly drifting across the heavens. "Looks like rain, but, I'm still hoping to enjoy the lake for a bit."Indi w/ Telchar 333 | ProfileSorry for the wait <3 1 year 3 months, early fall, mid-day

Checking to make sure that the equine you were approaching was not midway through trying to get down a drink of water was probably recommended. Unfortunately, Telchar realized this after noting the way the yearling filly lifted her head from the lake's surface. Movements indicated she was being careful not to choke on the swallow of water that also dampened her muzzle. With this awareness, an apologetic look filtered into the warm smile he already wore. Albeit, at least she had not choked. That would definitely have been much worse.
At least the look she cast his direction was not unfriendly, if more than a little on the skeptical side. Not a bad thing, of course, for a lone filly to be skeptical of strangers she met. Especially as young as she was. He would guess her to be around a year old, which seemed a tad young to be out here all by herself. Inwardly, he grinned. Apparently he was getting old, when he started thinking a yearling out and about was much too young to be venturing away from family. After all, it was not as if he had never gone adventuring away from his family that young... albeit never without getting that Look from his mother that was not angry, but so sad and disappointed that was so much worse than yelling and punishment could ever be.
In response to his greeting, the filly gave a nod, before answering, "Hi! I'm Jaemaree." There followed a brief pause, whilst the filly turned her gaze skyward, clearly observing the heavy clouds that slowly drifted above them in the heavens, no doubt prophecying rain. "Looks like rain, but, I'm still hoping to enjoy the lake for a bit."
Inclining his own head, Telchar answered warmly, 'It's nice to meet you, Jaemaree.' Allowing his own gaze to drift upward, he agreed, 'Chances do look strong for rain. But hopefully it can hold off long enough for enjoying the lake a while.' Concern filtering into his expression, the smoky black stallion found himself unable to keep from inquirying, 'Do you have somewhere to go for shelter when the rain does come?' Maybe it was because Mother was a natural caregiver and some of that had rubbed off on him?
