SELVEN

3 years old
"Selven meets a dark mare, the first love of his life. The catalyst to his darkness. She is a blood bay and white beauty with multihued silken tresses, heavy feathering, deep bone and the most dazzling violet eyes."
It was the middle of spring, the young colt only cresting 3 years of age. He was boisterous, raunchy and full of life. His crystal gaze was nothing shy of inviting and friendly. He was colored in tar and alabaster with tresses made of full inky silk. Though his mane merely reached the middle of his neck it bounced along the growing muscles with ease, and his growing banner fell just inches below his hocks. He was truly a young gentleman. His father and mother both gazed at him lovingly as damn was nestled in the soft grasses with his sire standing over her. The larger overo colored stallion was a gentle creature. His heart open for all, and Selven at one point longed to be like his father. The young selven stopped his prancing to turn on his fresh haunches and smile wide at his father. Unbeknownst to all, later in the evening would be the end to the light hearted child, and would bring about a dark change.
The moon hung high in the sky now. Selven yawned lightly, as his blue eyes blinked away the sleep in their corners. He looked about the sleeping bodies of his herd mates and his mother. His father stood not to far off, but it was evident in the way his head hung lazily and the easy cock of his hip that his father was dozing as well. Selven smirked at the sight, his young limbs unfolding and lifting his frame up slowly. Their meadow land bordered a growingly desolate stretch of land that he had been told since the day he was born to not venture to. And as the young colt grew and the warnings also rose in intensity, Selven found himself itching to disobey and see for himself why he was barred from going there. With that, the young colt snuck away, his hooves light upon the grass as it muffled his escape.
Selven did it. The young colt smiled wide, his slightly convex nose lifting to look back over his shoulder the excitement building under his skin. He continued his trek forward, the land slowly loosing its soft feel beneath his hooves as tree's grew in height. Their mangled branches reached toward the moon and others seemed to grasp at his young supple flesh. Selven looked all about, his throat growing dry from the excursion. HE stopped his pace then, dryly swallowing as he moved his lips in a way to try and simulate wetness. his fine harks were perked forward, the cartilage swiveling atop his cranium occasionally to catch the hoot of an owl or the scurry of a mouse. The colt took a step forward now. With the excitement dying he began to become truly aware of his surroundings. Though he would not admit it to himself, his little heart began to thrum hard within his chest, turning around he became painfully aware that he really did not know where he was. The darkness obscured the path he thought he had taken, but the tree's seemed to curl over head and smother the little moonlight that did come through. He inhaled deeply to try and pick up on any scent of his family, but nothing. All he could smell was decay and... blood.
The colt swallowed hard once again, now trekking forward again, deeper into the blood soaked land. He could hear rustling all around him, his young form wanting to grow panicked but he did not allow himself to do so. His father had taught him to be strong in rough situations, that running could only make things worse. and so, the colt straightened his cowering form, his growing bod tall as he faced the shadows and the newly glowing eyes that seemed to appear and disappear in the deepening darkness. "Who... who is there?" Selven's small voice almost cracked. His haunches trembled then after a sultry chuckle sifted from the darkness before him. Another multitude of rustling leaves, and Selven spun around fighting every instinct in his body to run. "Who is there! I'll have you know my father is a king!" He sputtered out, his crystal eyes wide as his weight was loaded upon his haunches once more, his form taking a step back as the panting of wolves could be heard now. "He.. he will come for your head if you hurt me. Everyone in the light land will!" Selven spun again, this time catching sight of a black and auburn colored wolf as it glared at him with reflected eyes.
Another laugh.
Selven could barely keep himself here now, but just as he was ready to launch forward and try his luck at beating the wolves, an ivory and blood bay mare stepped from the shadows. The auburn and black wolf stalking by her side. Violet eyes just as hungry and violent as that of the wolf. Selven took a step back then, his bodice naturally afraid of the darkness that emanated from the woman. He had never seen a dark up close. His family told him they were all blood thirsty ugly things. To be aware of their horns, and scales and spikes... yet... she stood there flawless. The moonlight reflecting off her own eyes as if it made of diamonds. though the colts heart beat fast and hard, he was awe struck by the mature woman. Her smile was sweet, but speckled in what Selven could only assume to be blood. The colt swallowed hard once again, his hooves taking a step back as she stalked a step forward.
"Is that so, Little Prince?" Her voice was unlike anything he had heard before. It was soft and alluring... devilish and sweet. What kind of woman was this? The woman took another step forward, and this time Selven did not faulter though his muscles screamed to do so. He was to entranced by her violet eyes and sickly sweet smile. "Where is you father now? Have you snuck away?" She chuckled again, this time it was more breathy as if she was breathing him in. Her eye lids fluttered closed for a second, her black and silver lashes catching the sparse light. Selven spoke up as she opened her eyes and looked down upon him, she towered over him at 19 hands. "n-nn-no. he knows exactly where I am!" The mare closed the distance then, her massive bodice dwarfing him as her scent forced its way into and over him. Another dark chuckle from the woman. "I highly doubt that.." She tilted her skull to the side just slightly. Her long tresses nearly brushing her knees and threatening to reach out and tickle him. "What kind of light king would let a prince willingly wander into my home?" She said, thought it was not harsh, she smiled at Selven again now. Watching as his mind seemed to churn. "This is yours?" He said, the chatter of his teeth slowly residing. The mare nodded gently, and Selven peered around them, the other wolves that encircled them had now quieted. "and the wolves...?"
The mare half heartedly rolled her eyes, the smile never fading from her lips. "and the wolves." She repeated, the auburn and black canine laying on its belly as she said so. Though Selven's heart was still beating hard, it began to slow as he looked up at the behemoth of a woman. The mare merely watched him back, her voice breaking the silence. "What is your name little prince?" Selven's eyes were still wide as he caught her violet gaze again. He did not know how to describe what he saw in her eyes, or why he was so drawn to her but he now took a step forward. Wanting to be cuddled into her massive pectorals. Wanting to drown in her wretched perfume of blood and earth. "s-s-selven.." He stammered before clearing his throat and straightening his form, wanting to look as tall and strong as he could for the beautiful beast of a woman. This was not unnoticed by the mare. "I am Selven."
The beautiful mare smiled even broader now at the colt. Her velvety lips lowering and coming to rest not far at all from the colts face. "Selven..." She let the name roll along her tongue and the colt himself had to blink hard as he felt something new stir within him... desire. He reached forward, wanting to touch the woman any where he could, but she popped her tongue at him. A simple reprimand for the colts eagerness. "My little prince, what a fine name you have." Selven bobbed his head some, and the mare moved her bodice to be even closer, her large chest brushing against the colts neck as she made her way to his shoulder. She looked down upon him still, her violet eyes shadowed by her lashes as her multicolored lips reached to brush along his ear. "La Laurie, my prince." She spoke gently, and that small touch sent waves of fire through Selven. The young colt couldn't stop the flagging of his banner now, though the fear did not entirely subside, he was more aroused than anything. The heavy feel of danger that lurked around them both and the sensual touch of the beauty enough to flip the switch in the colt.
The mare began to circle around him then, her large form kept close enough that every other step caused her large rotund hip to push him. once she came along to the opposite side of his bodice, facing once more to tread deeper into the land, Selven spoke up. "Your name is beautiful." Selven spoke, though it was not very loud. He was too entranced by the woman. She chuckled and merely gave him another nod. She was all to aware of the beautify her heavy frame held. She let her lips graze along his crest before she stepped away, ready to fall back into the heart of the bloodied land. But Selven was not prepared for her departure, he took a rushing step forward, before he blurted out his next words. Unaware of the path he was about to set in motion. "wait - where are you going? Can I see you again?"
La Laurie smiled to herself as her back was still faced to the colt. Her gentle lyrics starting as she shifted her skull to peer at the young colt from over her shoulder.
"Yes." She said simply, before turning her skull back forward and beginning to walk away, the wolves following close behind as the rustling in the trees grew. "Return here within the next night.. I will show you a whole new world, my little prince. "
and with that the ivory and blood colored woman walked until she disappeared into the darkness. Selven standing all alone within the unfamiliar land. To his surprise though, it seemed as though his encounter lasted longer than he had realized. Dawn threatened to peek through the tree's and with it Selven was able to pick up on his own trail and follow it back to where the land grew lush again. He could not get the imagine of the violet eyed woman out of his head. What would she show him? What could she do? Why is she the only woman that had ever sparked the feeling of desire in his loins now? Selven would come to find out these answers in the next coming days, ready to embark on his own path of treachery and devastation. Ready to soak all of the world in blood, and bone for the sake of his La Laurie.
