Peeved was about what Akroma was feeling right now. Had she been wrong about reading Cadence from their select, few encounters? He did like his ruling partner so it shouldn't come of surprise that he might be willing to stoop to such levels as Rasa had. But it also didn't, entirely make sense. Why Akroma? She was no longer the one to stand by Xerxes' side. She was not Lady of the Underworld and her involvement in the war overall was on the back end of things and left in the dark. She was on a need-to-know basis nowadays; and not many cared to share the inner workings with her since she no longer held any political power. So why was Cadence targeting her? What would he gain by dragging her to a plane in the Afterlife that she had already made it clear she didn't want to be. Utopia didn't want her here either. It was trying to exterminate her like it would any vile rodent in it's boundaries. Her soul did not belong here and it made sure she was aware of such thing with the pain that seeped deep into her bones. It was a pain unlike any, but one she had felt before. It didn't make her anymore prepared for the agonizing, sharpness within. The rejection of Utopia to rid the demon in its walls. It was easy to see how so many could succumb to such pain; would her body allow her to succumb. Reincarnation had been at the top of her list- but maybe fading away into the mists was better. She wouldn't fall so soon and she doubted the leaders of Utopia would let her go before prodding her for something or some reason she was brought here.
Akroma's annoyance was not only poised at Cadence. Where was Xerxes? Where was Teca? She relied on them to protect her from situations like this and they had failed her. It would possible Xerxes was too busy to even notice. He had hinted more than once that Teca was practically useless and he was the one left to do all the heavy lifting. It made her dislike for Teca only grow. A useless leader she was proving to be. Or maybe she knew of the steal and did not care. A scheme to get Akroma out of her realm and not a concern. Akroma and Xerxes might no longer be on the same page of lovers- but she doubted he would be pleased when he found out. The question was, just how long would it be until he knew of her disappearance? If he was busy and Teca didn't bother to share then it would only be until he tried to summon her that he might know something was wrong. Or if Cadence and Rasa went gloating to the Lord to try and rise some, emotional reaction from the heathen Lord. She had no doubt it would be the same one that Rasa got many moons ago.
Her movement was sluggish in comparison to her usual gait as she fought to push through the pain of rejection. Ivories clenched the softs of her cheek hoping the pain there might distract her from the deep pain within. It failed. Duo colored gaze scanned the lands that held a beauty she wished she could truly enjoy. Why hath ye broughteth me here, Cadence? She called out, not knowing if it would be Cadence and Rasa to greet her or just the roaned-spotted beast. If it is to get the same reaction from Xerxes that Rasa got when she hadeth stolen me- I am not sure it will worketh this time, my friend. The my friend part of that sentence a bit of a stretch. But he was the sire of Isolde and before this action had been reasonably and enjoyable. She couldn't imagine he was trying to lure Xerxes to Utopia by this wild card move and she hoped the heathen Lord would not pull such a stunt in the middle of a war. No longer his Lady and hath not shareth a bed since Venari and Everest were conceived. I am certain his love towards me is not what it once was and he will not storm through the gates of Utopia demanding my freedom. Perhaps a bit too much information in there for the ears of Cadence, but the truth alas. Venari and Everest were conceived at a time when they both were open and honest on their feelings and much of the thorned words with purpose of intent had subdued. It was a fleeting moment nonetheless and one she sometimes found herself missing; but had adjusted to whatever friendship they held now.
But something dost telleth me that is probably not why ye hath broughteth me here... She trailed off and waited for his arrival, and maybe Rasa's too. Waited for some sort of reasoning to explain the pain he was putting through by bringing a demon to Utopia. It took her years of experience to not let her annoyance mingle with her words. Leaving them for neutral questioning while she felt out the situation behind enemy lines.

CADENCE
He had expected some form of retaliation, but he had not expected it to come so swiftly after he'd stolen Akroma. The lord had been disappointed that he could not sway her to their side, and in some ways he was reluctant to stop trying. That was only partially why he'd wanted her nearby. Perhaps it was the fact that she'd given him a reason to trust her. He had wanted to offer her a supervised opportunity to see her children in exchange for her promise to try and protect Isolde. Perhaps it would help chip away at her disdain for the rest of Utopia, but perhaps that ran too deeply for Rasa for him to truly change anything. It would seem that Cadence would not get the chance to carry out his plans as Xerxes had quickly claimed him as a damned soul in the Underworld. The irony was not lost on him as he arrived as Akroma summoned him. She was to enter Utopia as he was being dragged to the domain she currently resided in. The roan lord listened to the words of hers that flowed, and he could feel the irritation in them. Her irritation at his actions were something he could understand, and yet he could not help but allow the smile to cross his features. Akroma did not know he'd been stolen so swiftly in response. Cadence remained quiet as she finished her sentiments, and then allowed additional time in case. The utopian didn't want to cut her off by accident. "Perhaps he will not storm through our gates to reclaim you, but he has stolen me in swift retaliation to taking you." The lord rumbled to her with a flicker of amusement. "Perhaps rethink his feelings toward you then... I would not imagine if I had stolen anyone else that he would have acted so quickly." Cadence added. Thus far he couldn't recall such a swift response. But perhaps it was just he who had avoided the speed of his counterpart's wrath. "Unfortunately, you will not have me here to supervise you. I had wanted to extend an offer of good faith and hope again to convince you to join me in Utopia. Xerxes may not fight for you, but I would. I had wanted to take you to where we keep our prisoners and keep you supervised... but you would be allowed a glimpse of your children while you were here. To konw I was genuine when I told you that they were still cared for in exchange for your cooperation in assisting me in keeping Isolde safe."Cadence took a few moments to extend a bit of relief to the demonness. A momentary reprieve from the gnawing that it would soon do upon her in his absence. "I have to go. I was hoping this would go differently. Hopefully you'll still call me friend when this is all over." He smiled a little sadly as he gave her a few moments to respond. He didn't want to go, but he didn't particularly want to keep Xerxes waiting either. Zohyd// sorry for the wait!

The time that passed felt like eternity as Utopia wrapped it's tendrils around her, acting as if it wished to physically squeeze the darkness from her like a pimple, only this kind does not pop with relief. The pressure builds upon itself as the pain continues to spread and seep deeper into her system. No, there is no such thing as time moving quick whilst one feels this terrible. In this much pain. Azure and mocha gaze caught the movement of the approaching Utopian leader, vision locking on the behemoth that had brought her here on his approach. She noted the corner of his kissers pulled upward and wondered if she had truly been mislead by Cadence from the beginning. Had she misjudged his kindness and their conversations? Was he playing her so that now while she stood here in a torturous pain that he understood, was he getting enjoyment from it? Perhaps he will not storm through our gates to reclaim you, but he has stolen me in swift retaliation to taking you.
Silence while the words soaked in past the Utopia rejection. A part of her truly believed she misunderstood what he was saying. But they played on repeat in her mind and there was not misunderstanding to be had. Invisible brows furrowed as confusion played a role that simply could not be acted. Perhaps he will not storm through our gates to reclaim you, but he has stolen me in swift retaliation to taking you. The Utopian Lord had added more. A suggestion on the feelings that the Leader of the Demons might have towards her. Their relationship had always been... rocky. It was a game of cat and mouse with more toxicity than either side deserved. For a while there is had been pure bliss. Their deaths had brought them together as rulers and lovers as a level that could get anyone feeling high. Venari and Everest had been made from love- at least on her side. She remembered that day in Asphodel when he proved he could play the game of charming mate and the next second tearing her down and proving it could be an act. Leaving her to question if it were all an act and had been what had started the little girl inside to sob while she built the brick wall from him around her heart. Every time in his presence he seemed to knock it down with a single huff, remind her why she built it then leave again. Dial shook instinctively as she didn't wish for her mind to go down the path of thinking Xerxes cared more for her. They were friends, something both seemed to be trying to navigate. She would always have a softness for him that she could not deny- but certainly could not speak for the hellfire beast. Perhaps he dost simply tire of being taken from and it dost hath nothing to do with myself. A more logical solution than the ones he had proposed. I can share light on conversations that would hath ye believing my proposal another time- best not to sendeth ye into the Lion's Den aggravated. She had already offered him memories before of countless times Xerxes had tried to kill her during his mortal days. Those mere actions driven by a disease that was out of his control. What would he think should she share some conversations had filled with thorns on both sides. Akroma was no saint herself.
Unfortunately, you will not have me here to supervise you. I had wanted to extend an offer of good faith and hope again to convince you to join me in Utopia. Xerxes may not fight for you, but I would. I had wanted to take you to where we keep our prisoners and keep you supervised... but you would be allowed a glimpse of your children while you were here. To konw I was genuine when I told you that they were still cared for in exchange for your cooperation in assisting me in keeping Isolde safe. A reasoning to stealing her from the Underworld; the belief of making it justifiable. Before she could say anything Akroma felt a wave of relief wash over her system as he took away the rejection of his home. Akroma almost could have purred with appreciation of the action. She had made her stance clear on Rasa and Utopia. Cadence, There was a softness to her tones as she released his name from her velvets, As tempting as ye doth maketh Utopia, I cannot overlook all that Rasa hast done.... and not done. Perhaps rethink a new Lady of Utopia and then seeketh out my interest in joining. There was a jest in her tones, one to play on his perhaps rethink his feelings toward you then. While she wished to speak more ill of Rasa- it did not seem appropriate or like they would have the time. It will be hard to helpeth keep Isolde safe whilst in Utopia. I am not sure if I should be more upset with ye for stealing myself or Xerxes for stealing ye over Rasa. There was a bit of laughter in her words. Had Xerxes stolen Rasa then herself and Cadence could still have more conversation and she could see her children. They could talk more in depth on matters freely and truly pick each other's brain. But now she would rot in a prison cell as Rasa would not give her the same treatment. Taking a Lord away from a ruler whom already seemed comfortable ruling without one didn't seem like the smartest of choices- but she knew she would not question him on the matter. I doth apologize should he not be very nice. And hopefully Tecca has learned some professionalism since thy last meeting. Cadence's feelings of the Underworld Lady did not go unforgotten. She enjoyed hearing another not care for her successor but did know the value or that dislike coming from a declared enemy.
I have to go. I was hoping this would go differently. Hopefully you'll still call me friend when this is all over. Were they allowed to have friends of the opposing sides. Seemed doubtful given the strict rules of warfare. Let us both cometh out of this situation before we cross that friendship bridge, the mists might looketh awfully tempting then spending time in the presence of Rasa. Another jab at his co-leader but she offered wink and a smile. If he truly sought friendship then he would have to put up with the low blows to his leading lady; one she would continue to propose he replace.
