The bay tobiano's winter pelt shone from sweat as he crossed into the Light Kingdom, proof of the effort he had exerted to get there. He knew that, despite having now arrived at his destination, his bod was not about to meet any relief from the heat it was creating. He was about to reach Rain Forest Beach, after all... A territory he had known since he was only a foal, and therefore, knew was far too humid to offer him the opportunity to cool down. He regretted that he was going to appear disheveled, particularly because he sought the company of the Light Queen, but there was naught to be done about it. With how thick his winter coat was, what with the lands still remaining in the middle of the cold season, it would take much, much too much time to attempt to dry and smooth out his multi-toned pelt... And neither he, nor likely the queen, had time for such menial tasks. He would simply have to apologize for his lack of decorum, but surely Queen Nixi would understand. With the state of the world, there were much more important things to worry about.
King Avinash felt as though he was being pulled in every which direction, figuratively of course. The most pressing matter was, without a doubt, the war that had consumed both the mortal and otherworldly realms. He was trying his best to support the Utopians, well all the while trying to continue to lead his kingdom. This meant ensuring its wellbeing - something that had become more difficult considering war pressing at its borders. He was still trying to keep the Neutral Defense Council progressing forwards, particularly because it could be a great aid to the feuds happening. Then, there was another issue that had been pulling at his mind for some months... And that was Orel's disappearance. He had placed a bandaid on the wound that her absence had created, at the very least finding her successor. But he had not forgotten his friend, nor did he intend to leave the question about her whereabouts unanswered. He would be doing her a great disservice if he did not do his best to look for her. Unfortunately, this search had been placed on the back burner while he had attempted to navigate the war. Yet in the recent weeks, thoughts of his former comrade had been pulling at his mind. Guilt had begun to consume him, guilt over having not looked much for her. So, today he would act upon that which his conscience was trying to tell him. Today he would make efforts in attempting to locate her, even if it meant taking away his time from other duties.
He had not come to the Light Kingdom because he believed they had any involvement in her disappearance. Rather, he knew that the Light Kingdom had faced many misfortunes of their own when it came to their royals - many of which had too disappeared, been taken, been attacked, and the like. He wanted to pick Queen Nixi's brain for knowledge, should she be so kind as to indulge him... And maybe, just maybe, he would get a hint as to Orel's whereabouts.
Arriving at the boundaries of Rain Forest Beach, the Neutral King was swiftly intercepted by a diligent guard. Avinash greeted him politely, asking courteously for an audience with the queen. He just hoped she wouldn't be too busy to speak with him.

THE SAS QUEEN
And then my soul saw you and kind of went, "Oh, there you are. I've been looking for you."

In the midst of winter, the beach she called home thrived. Rain Forest Beach always looked much different than the majority of Wild Equines that was buried in snow. Instead, fog often plagued the Royal home as cool air met the warmer ocean. Today however, the sun was blinding bright. At the shore stood the buckskin splash mare, her ivory-stained daggers dipped in the rolling tide. A gentle breeze occasionally strong enough blew her sun-bleached midnight locks around – they matched her chocolate optics more than the dark of the night. The Light Queen had returned home a mere few hours ago after an excursion and hadn’t brought herself to return to anyone in her home. Instead, she stood along the shore staring into what felt like oblivion. If the entire world could pause like she was right now, maybe she could catch a break for just a second. It was as if she could feel her life was about to take a drastic turn, that many things were about to change and not only could she do nothing about it, but she didn’t even know what this feeling was about. It was almost…general intuition that was telling her something was about to happen. The buckskin rolled her eyes at herself being so skeptical, for it was likely just a feeling occurring because of how much had happened and how much still needed to be dealt with. The world wasn’t going to change with her pondering such, it would only change with action. And action required movement.
Just as she was thinking about turning around and continuing with whatever duty she had next, footsteps approached her. It was a guard approaching her with announcement of a visitor asking for the Queen’s audience. Most everyone she had interacted with recently simply barged into her home, so for someone to stop and ask so courteously made her raise a brow. Nevertheless, she followed the guard as they both made way to the guest in a two-beat pattern with their limbs. The closer they became to the border, the more familiarity struck her. It was King Avinash, the Neutral King. As nice as it was to see him, immediately her son Naberus came to the forefront. Naberus and Avinash were good friends, and his disappearance was likely something the Neutral King was concerned about. It was one of the many situations she needed to deal with, and the only solutions she could think of was that she wasn’t going to be able to hold him much longer. Nor did she want to captivate her son, but she wanted to protect him from making wrong choices. Such as admitting to murder in front of a dozen equines as a King. Hopefully, he was not here today to discuss this. King Avinash. She said respectfully, bowing her ivory-stained dial as courtesy before allowing her chocolate optics to meet him again. To what do I owe the pleasure?

Avinash was not unaware that something had befallen Naberus. One could say that that was obvious, considering that Naberus was no longer king and that Nixi had crowned a new ruling partner. Avinash had attended the coronation of King Hunroor and spoken to the newest monarch briefly after the ceremony. Still, little had been said regarding Naberus at the time. Avinash considered Naberus a friend, having known the similarly-aged steed since they had been children... But that did not mean he had been indulged as to what had happened to Naberus, not this time around. This was not the first time that Naberus had become absent from the Light Kingdom, although the time prior had certainly not been his choice. The Neutral King remembered those months well, as he and his family had attempted to aid the Light Kingdom in their search for their missing prince. Avinash recalled having spent much time in the Lands of the Free, trying to find any trace of the painted beast, to little avail. He had been overjoyed when Naberus had showed up at Tremala Woods to tell Avinash of the Light Prince's return, and what fate had befallen him. It was a grim one, and he had not returned as the same individual he once was... But he had still been well enough to claim the throne that was, by all rights, his. Avinash doubted that Naberus would have given up his crown willingly, but who knew... There were many reasons that could explain why Hunroor now stood beside his half-sister, instead of Naberus next to his mother. Unfortunately for the time being, it was not something he could dwell upon. He hoped that Naberus was okay, but for now, he needed to focus upon his own kingdom.
It did not take the guard he had spoken to long to locate the queen, and to return her to Avinash's location. Queen Nixi appeared just as composed as ever as her buckskin-splashed bodice appeared before him - certainly much more at home and acclimatized to the humid environment here, whereas Avinash was sure he must have looked rather dishevelled. "King Avinash." She greeted him politely, offering him a gentle dip of her dial. He returned the respectful action, dropping his own ivory-stained visage deeply. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" She then asked as he straightened, and while he hated to be so... immediately formal, he did not wish to waste either of their time. "While it is always a pleasure to get to speak with you, Queen Nixi, the matters that bring me here today are less than pleasing." He told her, wishing things did not have to be this way. "I know you are aware that Queen Orel went missing, which consequently forced me to crown another, Queen Boudicca." Just as he knew of Hunroor due to the coronation, he knew Nixi had the same knowledge of their own kingdom. "Yet I come to you today because of Queen Orel. There was no rhyme nor reason, as far as we are aware, for her to disappear. Not other than someone wishing to mess with the Neutral Royalty." The unfortunate truth about being a leader - you always had enemies, even if you didn't know them. "I know that you are, unfortunately, well versed in disappearing royals. Orel was a friend, and I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I did not try to find her. So I've come today to seek your council - to see if you may know anything. If you know of anyone you have encountered in the past that might also want to target us, as well as you. If you know why Orel might have disappeared."
