Uwu stood alone in the heart of the frost-kissed meadows, her spotted strawberry roan coat shimmering in the pale light of the morning sun, clad in a fine layer of powdery snow. The snow beneath her hooves crunched softly with each step, a symphony of winter's embrace. Her breath formed misty clouds in the crisp air, a testament to the chill that hung in the atmosphere. Yet, despite the cold, Uwu's spirit remained undeterred, her heart filled with the boundless joy of a new day dawning. As she gazed out across the tranquil landscape, a sense of peace washed over the mare, enveloping her in a cocoon of serenity. The world around her was a canvas of white, untouched and pure, stretching as far as the eye could see. The silence of the morning was broken only by the occasional call of a distant bird or the rustle of the wind through the snow-laden trees. She closed her eyes, letting the warmth of the sun wash over her, its golden rays kissing her coat with gentle caresses. Tilting her head back, she basked in the glow of the winter sun, a content sigh escaping her lips. In this moment, she felt truly alive, connected to the earth and sky in a way that words could not describe. As she stood there, lost in the beauty of the winter morning, Uwu's mind wandered back to the days of her youth, frolicking in the meadows with her siblings, their laughter echoing across the plains. Despite the hardships she had faced, those memories remained etched in her heart, a source of comfort and strength. But today was not about the past; it was about the present, about embracing the beauty of the here and now. And so, she opened her eyes once more, taking in the breathtaking view before her with renewed appreciation. The snow sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight, each flake a testament to the magic of nature's handiwork. With a joyful neigh, Uwu leaped forward, her hooves kicking up snow in her wake. She raced across the meadows with wild abandon, her heart soaring with the exhilaration of freedom. In this moment, she was not just an equine; she was a creature of the wind and sky, a spirit untamed and wild. As she ran, Uwu felt a sense of peace settle over her, a quiet knowing that in this vast and beautiful world, she was exactly where she was meant to be. And as the sun continued its slow ascent into the heavens, painting the sky with hues of pink and gold, Uwu knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would always find solace in the embrace of the wind, the sun and the freedom she felt envelop her heart. tag; Indi

Getting to know this world that her parents must have known, while bittersweet in its way, was also fascinating to Addison. Obviously, she had no way of knowing precisely the locations her mother and father would have known. No way of knowing which locations they had visited or which might have been favoured locales to hang out in. She could not even be certain of the place where they first might have met. How old were they when they first encountered one another? How long had they known each other before things became more… serious?
It was interesting to speculate. To imagine scenarios of what their lives might have been like. Albeit, she was careful about the moments where imagination drifted to what life might have been like if they had all stayed together as a family. That path led to sorrow. It did no good to wonder why her mother had left her with a stranger to raise, instead of keeping her and staying with her father. Addison honestly had no idea if her father even knew about her existence. Or if either one of her parents were still alive. While she knew that her mother had been alive at the time she left a newborn foal with a stranger to raise… there was no way to know if that was still true. As for her father… there was even less to go on.
Would she ever be able to discover their fates?
That was no easy question to answer, even in her imaginings. She knew her mother had been a mare by the name of Atomic Lynx, as her adopted mother had been told that much at least. And her adoptive mother had also mentioned that Atomic Lynx had been a silver smoky black femmora. As to who her father had been… Addison did not have the foggiest notion. The mare to raise her had been told nothing about him, leaving Addison nothing to use when it came to finding out about him. She did not know his name or what he looked like, where he had lived… nothing. The palomino damsel did not even know that she shared the same badger-faced marking as her sire, though she would have cherished that similarity if she had only known.
Whatever further contemplating the slowly meandering damsel might have had was brought to a halt when the thunder of hooves pulled her back into the present. Harks pricked, her gaze landed on a free spirit clearly enjoying pale wintry morning’s clear skies and beaming sunlight. Uwu's hooves crunched softly against the snow as she leapt around in pure happiness, her heart brimming with warmth and curiosity of the world. This was just who she was, always trying to see everything good in everyone, and everything beautiful in this world. It was in the middle of her running and bucking around in the frosted landscape that she noticed that she had gotten company, her eyes landing on a mare who stood and watched. A little whinny left her before she slowed down, coming up towards her with a frisky trot. "Hello there! Isn't it a glorious morning?" Uwu's voice carried a melody of joy, her eyes alight with genuine enthusiasm as she drew closer to the mare. She paused before the stranger, her gaze soft and welcoming as she studied the gentle features of her new acquaintance. It wasn't someone she had met before, but to Uwu it was all the same, everyone was worth meeting at least once, and she would think everyone kind, unless proven otherwise. "Care to join me for a romp in the snow? It's simply divine out here!" Uwu's invitation was accompanied by a playful toss of her curly mane, her excitement contagious as she awaited the mares response. With a graceful step forward, Uwu lowered her head, extending an invitation for the other to join her in the winter wonderland that stretched before them. The meadows beckoned with promise, a canvas of pristine white waiting to be explored. It wouldn't be long until spring now, so she wanted to make the most of this frosty landscape, and after that she would enjoy the spring just as much, with all it's pretty colours and warmth. As she waited for the strangers reply, Uwu's pink eyes were filled just as much with that smile of hers as her lips were showing. There was something magical about sharing moments of joy with others, about basking in the beauty of nature's embrace together. And so, with a hopeful glint in her eyes and a warm smile on her lips, Uwu turned to start trotting out in the snow again, having not even said who she was, because it simply didn't seem important right now. Formalities could be handled later. tag; Indi
