The winter was a time that Hunroor quite enjoyed, despite his coat being thicker and making him look fluffier than usual, it brought a child-like joy that he had missed. Since becoming King, life had been nothing but one trial after another, from the Darks threatening them on the night of his coronation to a Helkaer woman stealing him days later, Nixi certainly was not kidding about him having a target on his back. Not that Nixi joked about it, she was completely serious and Hunroor knew a lot of the Light Kingdom's history already to know he was accepting a dangerous position, one that he knew he could handle no matter what the world threw at him. But the Light King was not leaving his birth home to dwell on the past or future trials, no, he was looking for a place to clear his mind, a place where no one could bother him with past grievances that his Kingdom may have taken part in, despite Hunroor having no part in them himself yet treated like he had. The world seemed petty right now with all its bullshit, the afterlife, the Helkaer, and the darks, all need to take a good hard look at themselves, yet he supposed Nixi was not innocent of poking the bear when it came to the Helkaer woman.
A heavy sigh escaped the cambion King as his pace shortened, now taking his time to reach the border of Eden as it lay ahead of him in sight. The snow was like a thick blanket across the land yet as he got closer to Eden, the snow became thinner till Hunroor no longer had to plough through it, flicking what remained from his feathered hooves. Eden certainly is a wondrous place, its weather was stable all year round with a massive garden, beautiful with edible plants and all were equal here. The equines of the afterlife could not use their powers here and no one could harm another as Eden would reject them before they could, making Hunroor envious of such a place. If Rain Forest Beach had the magic of Eden, life would be much easier, and simpler, no one would be able to bother his family anymore, well they could but at least they would not be able to harm any of them. With a grumble, Hunroor entered the fabled land, bee-lining it for the massive garden where he planned to rest and ease his mind, to get lost in the many colours. For now, he didn't want to think of the war, of helping Nemesis find her mothers murderer or the Dark Kingdoms slight against his family, Hunroor just wanted a moment to be himself.

As Naya continued to navigate the enigmatic realm of Asphodel, her footsteps echoed softly against the ethereal ground beneath her. With each step, she felt a strange mix of trepidation and determination coursing through her veins. The feeling seemed to stretch out endlessly around her, but she refused to succumb to the despair that threatened to engulf her. Lost in thought, she barely noticed the subtle shift in her surroundings—a faint glow on the horizon, beckoning her forward with a promise of sanctuary. Intrigued, Naya quickened her pace, her heart pounding with anticipation as she approached the source of light. As she drew closer, the fo began to recede, giving way to a lush landscape unlike anything she had ever seen. Verdant meadows stretched out before her, dotted with vibrant flowers and towering trees that swayed gently in the breeze. The air was alive with the sweet scent of blossoms and herbs, and the sound of birdsong filled her ears with a symphony of melody. Naya's eyes widened in wonder as she took in the breathtaking beauty of this newfound paradise. Could this be Eden, the rumored sanctuary where no harm could befall her? The thought filled her with a sense of hope she had not felt since arriving in Asphodel—a glimmer of light cutting through the darkness of her confusion. With cautious steps, she ventured further into the heart of Eden, her senses tingling with a strange mix of apprehension and awe. The air seemed to hum with an otherworldly energy, infusing her with a sense of peace she had not felt in what felt like an eternity, despite it not being long since her passing. But even as she reveled in the tranquility of her surroundings, a nagging sense of unease lingered at the edges of her consciousness. What secrets lay hidden beneath the surface of this idyllic paradise? And could she truly find solace and safety within its hallowed confines? As she pondered these questions, a glittering coat in the sunlight drew her attention to a figure standing amidst the verdant foliage. Startled, Naya turned to face the newcomer, her heart skipping a beat as she beheld the radiant presence before her. At first she wanted to panic, to run, but it didn't take her long to realize that this wasn't the man who had been her bane. Despite her trauma she could at the very least admit to that, and hope that he would be nothing like the one that had snuffed out her life. She watched the other with pale blueish green eyes, framed by eyelashes as pale as the rest of her coat, and she took in the appearance of him. He was quite drafty and big, the feathering on his feet still wet from the snow he must have walked through. Or was he possibly dead as well? She didn't know how to tell yet, or how all of this worked. "Hello?"tag; Romantemplate by faeriiefox - artwork by faeriiefox

The sound of thundering hooves eased as the large draft cambion came to a halt beneath a great elm, his senses finally taking in the new land around him as Hunroor regain his bearings. His one violet eye looked down at the soft emerald blades that gently brushed against his feathering, then continued to the vibrant blooms that made up the ethereal garden, a sense of peace began to wash over him as Hunroor took in the sights. To think this wonderful place could be shared by all without conflict and remain perfect was hard to believe, but knowing there is an afterlife was also hard to believe at first, and that such beings could reproduce with the living. Before his mind could wander to less happy thoughts, Hunroor moved closer to the heavily scented flowers, nostrils flared as he breathed in the delightful scent. The Light King was used to the scents of the salt in the sea's water or the way the sand smelt once the sun heated it, the earthy tones of the forest where he slept, and the few flowers that dotted the landscape. The floral scents here are intoxicating, exotic, scents he would miss when it was time to return home.
As much as the chimeric stallion would hate to admit it, Hunroor did not notice someone was approaching until the feminine tones called out, "Hello?". A sudden tingle ran through his body as Hunroor tried to hide his reaction to being startled, turning his large head away from the flowers till his eye fell upon the snowy individual. "Hello!", Hunroor called out as he took a few steps toward her, holding his skull slightly lower than usual to appear less imposing before taking this moment to introduce himself, "I'm Hunroor." While he had met quite a few new equines as of late, Hunroor still felt out of his element when it came to meeting others by chance, nothing official like his coronation had been. The lady didn't quite seem to be here and yet she was or did he smell the flowers a little too long? Her pelt looked like freshly fallen snow and was small like a delicate snowflake, possibly the same height as his sister, Queen Nixi. His experience with those of the afterlife was minimal, though those he had met had either wings or horns or both, and their forms were solid, unlike this lady who had neither and looked like a beautiful figment of his imagination. "Forgive me if I sound cheesy or rude, but you are real?", the Light King questioned innocently, shaking his cropped mane to free his one eye of the few hair strands that were long enough to obscure his sight.
