A warm, gentle breeze teased at the inky locks of a petite angel as she paused for a moment in her frolicking. Closing her eyes, she lifted her muzzle upwards, enjoying the perfect weather of Utopia.
Not that she was really opposed to the more turbulent weather of the mortal plane. In truth, she found it rather fascinating to be buffetted about by wild winds, drenched by pouring rain, nigh buried by falling snow, and other turbulent sorts of weather to be found outside of Utopia.
Still, it was nice to have such perfection to return to whenever time out adventuring was done, especially during those times when her soul was in turmoil. She could never be sure when those moments would spring upon her, leaving her breathless and shaking. At least her strength had, for the most part, returned. Yet even now there were times when she felt weary beyond measure, for no readily identifiable reason. Aside from it being some residual effect from the time she had been trapped on the mortal plane.
Shivering a little at where her thoughts had wandered, Talia opened her eyes again to view the perfection around her. Stretching feathered wings, folding them against her sides before fluffing them, she then stretched them out again and leaped into the air. With a cheerful squeal, she swept higher, mismatched hazel and brown eyes scanning around for any sign of fellow Utopians she might cheer up. Lady Rasa had given her the task to be a friend to her fellow Utopians and bring them happiness. Which was exactly what she intended to do. x CASTIEL Corruption was everywhere, even here in Utopia. He thought of sweet Talia, who he knew had suffered greatly in the mortal world and had thus been forever changed by whatever she had gone through. Corrupted, in one way or another. It saddened him. Enraged him. Rasa had not told him all that she knew, but she had mentioned a name of a mortal man. Charm. How ironic to have a name like that and be a devil himself. Castiel felt troubled as he thought of this, standing nearby a creek that bubbled along through Utopia. He was well enough away from the cells used during the war that he wouldn't have to worry about hear anymore of Everest's stupid singing and boasting. His ears pinned at the memory of the Fiend, belting out songs in that headache inducing voice of his. Gods, Castiel did not like him, nor any demon, honestly. Xerxes, the Lord of the Abyss himself, was just as... well. Evil. No good could come from mixing with the likes of demons. They could not be trusted. He knew this as well as anyone else should, who called Utopia home. He wondered what may happen in the future, should this war ever come to its dismal end. The faint sound of wings flapping above him in the sky caught the warrior angel's attention and, curious, Castiel found himself looking up at the baby blue sky above. There were no clouds to be seen, but what he did see was the small angelic figure of little Talia flying through the air. Castiel grinned despite his worrisome thoughts, now gone and replaced with a desire to join the smaller angel in the sky. Fanning out his large white wings, Castiel whinnied in greeting as he pushed himself up into the air, wings flapping, making the grass dance and ripples to form upon the surface of the creek as he hauled himself into the air. By the time he caught up to Talia, all his negative thoughts and worries were gone and he was chuckling. "Mind if I join you?" he called out to her, feeling so at ease up in the sky. He hardly remembered not having wings anymore! It just felt so natural to fly these days.
