casimiro It had been a long time since he had fallen on one the trails, but even with how long he had roamed the paths, it seemed he still wasn't immune. He'd been traveling down after depositing some herbs into the stores and his back hoof had caught on something. It could have been anything - a rock, a chunk of ice, a remnant of a tree root. It didn't really matter. He fell either way, going to his knees and managing to catch himself before he slid too far. His teeth clenched in his mouth and his heart thudded in his chest. Dammit. His knees stung with fresh scrapes. Well, at least he had just filled the herb store. He got back to his feet slowly, examining the damage. His thick winter coat had helped dispel some of the damage, but there were still thin lines of blood from being cut on the rocks. They weren't serious and would heal on their own, but he felt it was a bit silly to have herbs at his disposal, the knowledge to use them, and then not do it. Besides, they would heal a lot faster with assistance. And he could never have enough practice doing it, even if it was on himself. He made his way back up the mountain, his pace slower this time, eyes scanning the ground to see if he could find what he had tripped on. His gaze landed on a jagged piece of rock, sticking straight up out of the ground, obviously dislodged by his foot. He gave a grumble in the rock's direction and hefted it away from the path with a swift kick. It tumbled away, settling well away and hopefully would not disturb anyone else's travel. He snorted and continued on, ducking into the herb cave and gathering some dock leaves. He chewed them methodically and leaned forward to apply them to his knees. The sting was nigh unbearable for maybe a half second before it settled down. He sighed and exited the cave, going back down the path, keeping an extra eye out for anything in his way this time. When he made his way to the base of the mountain, he took in a deep breath. The air felt warm today and it helped cheer him up a bit, despite his fall. It had been a while, so hopefully this would become a rarer and rarer occurrence. Some days he did wish that the Vigilum had chosen another place to be rather than a dangerous, chilly mountain, but he had to admit it was useful for some things. The herbs that grew around here were plentiful and valuable and there were many caves and other hiding places for them to shelter both the herbs and horses that were healing. He had to admit that it would also deter anyone who wished them harm as well. Casi's gaze roamed the base of the mountain and he thought he noticed a horse traveling along. He twitched an ear and made his way toward them, wondering what they wanted. tag Wolf Heart with Rhuarc or Caseille "Speech"

DA Link Adopt #5The three year old, chestnut dyed, seventeen hand, American Saddlebred stallion was wandering the lands, he didn't know where he would end up. Pink chasms shifted around and he was curious to see what this place was, if he looked up he saw a storm roaring above the peak of the statuesque mountain. Where was this place? Was it the famed Mount Vigilum? What a thought, he had a small knowledge of herbs and healing, but he wondered if maybe those here would be able to teach him more of them. As he had made up his mind and begun to move toward the rise up the mountain when his gaze fell on another moving his way. This one was a bay, with elegant feathering and locks with odd markings over his back. Tilting his skull, Caz nickered toward the other, a greeting. Then he spoke to him, "Hello. Wonderful morning is it not? Could you tell me where we are?" He asked as he looked across at the other. Could this be one of the famed Vigilum? A healer of their group? He smiled, this could be the start of a new education, a deeper learning of herbs and healing maybe. That would be an interesting turn of events. Something new to add to his new story in a new land. Maybe something to help him to find his best friend again, sure he felt like he could sense her now and again, but how to find the truth? Maybe they couldn't help him, but maybe there was a chance they could. The thought made him smile as he tipped towers toward the other and looked across at them waiting to see if they would acknowledge him even. He didn't have too many friends and acquaintances here in this world just yet, perhaps this could be a first one. casimiro The smell of herbs was still in his nose as he greeted the stallion in front of him. He was chestnut with some curious white markings running across his body. He was of a more slender build than Casi, though he still matched the draft brute in height. Casi felt himself mildly pleased with this, though there were taller equines populating the mountain now, with Duramus and Cassian here. 'Hello. Wonderful morning is it not? Could you tell me where we are?' the stallion greeted him pleasantly. Casi both hoped and did not hope that the stallion was in trouble and that's why he was here. He hoped for it because that was his job and he wanted to help, but he also didn't hope for it because he didn't want anyone to ever be in trouble. Though if that were the case, he would be out of the job, now wouldn't he? He greeted the stallion with a friendly nod of his own. He wondered if he was new here, given he didn't know where he was. Mount Vigilum was a pretty standard fixture of the Free lands now. But nonetheless, Casi was happy to help him. "Indeed it is! You've found your way to Mount Vigilum," he said, his voice as friendly as ever, "this is the home of the Vigilum, as given by its name." He chuckled a bit. It was rather nice that the original set of Vigilum had named the mountain after themselves. No way that someone could mistake where their home base was. "My name is Casimiro and I'm one of said Vigilum. Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked him. Had the stallion come here by accident or was this the place that he was seeking? Either way, Casi was happy to help him with whatever he needed. He could help out with directions and perhaps, perhaps persuade him to come back for some herb lessons. He had to keep getting the word out there somehow, after all. tag Wolf Heart"Speech"

Tipping his towers toward the other, Caz listened as he spoke to him, Indeed it is! You've found your way to Mount Vigilum, this is the home of the Vigilum, as given by its name. My name is Casimiro and I'm one of said Vigilum. Is there anything I can do for you? Caseille smiled as he allowed the other's lyrics to sink into his mind. So he'd found the Healers' mountain then, fancy that. "Pleasure to meet you Casimiro. My name is Caseille, but you may call me Caz. I would like to learn a bit more of the healing arts if I'm being totally honest with you." He said with a warm smile. He paused a moment then and then spoke once more, "I know a little of it but I'd like to expand my knowledge, and perhaps make myself a few friends along the way." He finished and fell silent as he looked up toward the top of the mountain before returning his gaze back to the mahogany brute. He did know the tiniest bit of the healing arts, he'd learned them in his old herd, under the careful, persistent gaze of the herd elder and shaman. He had taught and showed Caz what to do, then had allowed him to do small healings in the herd. He kept the knowledge, had cared for simple injuries and maladies in the rogue bands he had come across and he had even healed some of his own wounds. He smiled again and settled his gaze upon the Vigilum stud before him. It would be nice to expand his knowledge, even if he didn't use it at all after learning it. It'd be nice to have the knowledge if he was ever needed to perform any healings. "If you and yours would be willing to take me on to teach me." He said as he fell silent again as he tipped towers to Casi and waited to see. Word Count: 328 "Speaking" Listening Notes: + ebonite +, Here you are love. .

casimiro The stallion smiled at Casi's greeting, which was always a good sign. It showed that he wasn't in any sort of hurry, so no one was in trouble. 'Pleasure to meet you Casimiro. My name is Caseille, but you may call me Caz. I would like to learn a bit more of the healing arts if I'm being totally honest with you,' the stallion said, introducing himself and mentioning the very thing that Casi wanted to persuade him to do. Casi beamed, his entire face lighting up. 'I know a little of it but I'd like to expand my knowledge, and perhaps make myself a few friends along the way,' he added after a bit. Casi nodded enthusiastically. Well, he would find no better place to learn herbs and make friends at the same time. Casi was always looking for more friends and more students as well. The Vigilum could always use more connections and routes for communication. And Casi could also use more herd members for Omashu, if he was being totally honest about it all. 'If you and yours would be willing to take me on to teach me,' he added again. Casi nodded again. "The pleasure is mine, Caz! I would love to teach you, as would anyone else on the mountain," he said. "There are four of us - myself, Duramus, Zana's Rose, and Cassian. Cassian is our apprentice, so he is still learning the ways, but there is no better way to learn than to teach." It was absolutely true in Casi's experience. Teaching Coreion how to do herbs had greatly improved his own knowledge and helped him learn more about herbs he already knew. He had even gotten the opportunity to learn about herbs he'd never seen before, by virtue of being in a rain forest - a much different environment from the mountain and Omashu. "We can begin our first lesson now if you'd like! Just follow me and I can take you to our herb stores," he said, nodding up toward the mountain. Their stores were kept well away from wind moisture to preserve the herbs for as long as possible. Zana had nearly perfected their storage. He rarely threw any of their herbs out due to damage. He'd go through the basics first - herbs for scrapes and bumps, stomachaches, headaches, and fevers. The more complicated stuff would come later - burns, deep cuts, childbirth, anxiety, and the like. Hopefully Caz would get to that point, but if he wanted to only learn the basics, that was fine. The basics were better than nothing! tag Wolf Hearttimeline before underoath's trial "Speech"

The smile brightened as it remained upon the fiery muzzle of the white ribbon marked stud as the other beamed at him. Towers switched as Casimiro spoke to him, The pleasure is mine, Caz! I would love to teach you, as would anyone else on the mountain, There are four of us - myself, Duramus, Zana's Rose, and Cassian. Cassian is our apprentice, so he is still learning the ways, but there is no better way to learn than to teach. He chuckled and nodded a little as he listened once more, We can begin our first lesson now if you'd like! Just follow me and I can take you to our herb stores. So there were three other Healers up here as well as Casi. Caz would have guessed that there were more than that based on the size of this mountain. And the one called Cassian was still just an apprentice. He smiled as he nodded in agreement with Casi's assessment, there was no better way to learn than to teach. In his own experience, he had learned best when he was teaching younger beings in his old herd. "I would like nothing more Casimiro. Please lead the way." Caz told him with a smile as he shifted. He was ready to expand the tiny bit of knowledge he already had. He just needed a better versed, and learned teacher. He wanted to be able to do more than just heal a few cuts and scrapes here or there. He wanted to do more and hopefully find a bigger purpose in his life. He wanted to be able to help anyone with any ailment they may have. He smiled again and looked toward Casi once more as he waited for him to take the lead and show him where to head to start on the path to his purpose. casimiro Caz continued to smile at him and nodded at Casi's words. 'I would like nothing more Casimiro. Please lead the way,' he said to him. Casi nodded as well and began to trek back up the mountain, assuming that Caz was following him. He kept the pace slow. Caz looked to be more agile than Casi was, but that didn't mean he wasn't at risk of falling as well. Casi's knees were beginning to sting again as they climbed, the effort as well as the wind tearing at the tiny cuts. They were a kind of wound that was superficial but hurt like it was way worse than it was. By tomorrow, it would likely stop hurting altogether and in a week, it would be gone entirely. For now, though, the small cuts were content to remind him that they were there with every step that he took. Casi looked out then, admiring the view for a few moments. "The climb is rough sometimes, but the view is worth it," he commented idly. Despite being up and down here dozens upon dozens of times, the view was still spectacular. He could spend hours looking at it if he had the time, and sometimes he did make the time. Some days when he was here later, he would climb the mountain just to watch the sunset. Back when it had just been him and Zana, he'd also witnessed some beautiful sunrises when he'd had to come here before dawn. That was probably the only thing he missed about getting here early. Otherwise, he'd take sleeping in anytime - at least until after sunrise. The path had now smoothed out beneath their hooves and they were no longer climbing. The hardest part of the trail was over. Casi lead the two of them to the opening of the herb storage cave - one of many herb storage caves they had scattered across the mountain. Casi spent a lot of time in here, sorting through herbs, throwing out bad ones, and making lists to collect new ones. The air was tinged with all kinds of scents, the different herbs mixing together to create a general smell of "plant". Casi lead them into the cave. "Watch your step," he instructed Caz. While the herbs were tucked away in niches and usually away from hooves, there were a few niches closer to the ground. Casi didn't want to give him any potential to trip and hurt himself or hurt the herbs. He lead him to a well-stocked pile of leaves. One of the most common remedies that they had and a remedy he had just used on his own knees. Dock leaves. They were long, broad, and slightly crinkled around the edges. "These are one of the most common remedies we use here and one of the first plants I ever learned about. It's called a dock leaf and it helps treat cuts and ease pain," he explained and then gestured to his knees, still greenish from the smear he'd put on them earlier, "I just used them this morning when I fell down the trail. They grow in abundance all over Wild Equines. You can chew them and use the pulp to put on wounds, or you can use them to wrap wounds as well, if that suits better."tag Wolf Heart timeline before underoath's trial "Speech"

The Saddlebred man smiled as he started after the mahogany man up the path he felt his breath getting taken a little at a time, after all, it had been quite a while since he had actually climbed...anything. He chuckled lightly as he paused at Casi's lyrics, The climb is rough sometimes, but the view is worth it. His pink orbs confirmed it to be true, from here the view was breathtaking. "I imagine the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful." Caz commented as he resumed following the medicine horse. He felt the path even out beneath them and he paused for a moment just to catch some breath. When his breaths were even, he followed Casi into the cave. A scent of plant filled his nares and he found himself gazing carefully at the path before him, as the stud spoke, Watch your step, Caz picked a slow careful path through the herbs, orbs taking in all the little niches where medicines were sitting, just waiting to be used. Then he drew his frame to a halt as Casi spoke again, about the pile of leaves in its space. These are one of the most common remedies we use here and one of the first plants I ever learned about. It's called a dock leaf and it helps treat cuts and ease pain, he nodded as he listened to the stallion finish his explanation. I just used them this morning when I fell down the trail. They grow in abundance all over Wild Equines. You can chew them and use the pulp to put on wounds, or you can use them to wrap wounds as well, if that suits better. "I know dock, I've used it a few times myself. Chew them or wrap them hmm? I knew the chewing part, but how do you wrap a big leaf and have it stay?" Caz asked, curious to learn how one did that. Genuine curiosity crossed his facade as he tipped his towers to the other, waiting to see how or hear how to make a big leaf wrap and stay. He wanted to know all the tricks and all the herbs and their uses. Then he could become a more useful stallion in his own right. He would absorb all he could and more, just so he could do more for himself and others and maybe do more to help him ease some of his own ailments. Not that they were terrible but if he could be useful, to himself first then he could be useful to others too. He smiled, yes, this felt right to do. casimiro When they paused a bit to take in the view, Caz remarked, 'I imagine the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful.' Casi nodded in confirmation. They were breathtaking. It never got old. Now they were in the cool of the cave. The scents around him were comforting. They made him feel at home. It was funny to think that years ago when he'd first started, he'd been so overwhelmed by all the scents that he couldn't be in the den for long. Now he couldn't imagine being without them. 'I know dock, I've used it a few times myself. Chew them or wrap them hmm? I knew the chewing part, but how do you wrap a big leaf and have it stay?' Caz asked. A very valid question. It took some finesse, that was for sure. Sometimes the poultice itself was sticky enough to hold the leaf on. Sometimes you had to wrap it tightly or make a slit in the leaf to secure it properly. There was also the option of using honey and other sticky substances to hold the leaf on, though if it wasn't good for the wounds, you had to be careful. "A very valid question! It takes some skill, but there are a few options to get it to stay," he said and reached forward to grab one of the leaves for a demonstration. "Sometimes the poultice itself is sticky enough for the leaf to stay on. That's always the best. Sometimes that doesn't happen though. If it doesn't, you can make two little tears in the leaf like this," he said and then reached down to make a delicate tear toward the end, about a third of the way through the leaf. He then did the same thing on the other end. "And match the tears to secure it in place," he continued. He reached down again and put the tip of his hoof in the center of the leaf and curled the two ends together with his tongue. He then pressed them together so the leaf stayed in a circle. "This is the most difficult, of course and if you make the tears too big, you can just rip the leaf in half. I try not to resort to this unless I really have to," he chuckled. It had taken him a long time to get it right. "Another option is to use something sticky like honey to secure the leaf in place. You just have to be careful not to get it in the wound if it's not supposed to be there," he explained. Honey was what he usuallly resorted to given it was relatively tame. The method of retrieving it was not so much, though. tag Wolf Heart timeline before underoath's trial "Speech"

The young stallion smiled as he listened to the mahogany man speak. He was quite curious and genuinely excited to learn of all that the mahogany being could teach him, about medicine and healing and all of that. When he had asked about the way to hold a big leaf on an injury, he saw that he had entered a place that would be perfectly enlightening. A very valid question! It takes some skill, but there are a few options to get it to stay. Caz tilted his skull curiously and leaned forward to observe and listen to the master of the craft before him. Sometimes the poultice itself is sticky enough for the leaf to stay on. That's always the best. Sometimes that doesn't happen though. If it doesn't, you can make two little tears in the leaf like this, the fiery stud watched as tears were carefully placed within the leaf. He watched as the medicine man performed the tiniest, most delicate actions, when he placed his hoof in the middle, Caz watched with new curiosity, And match the tears to secure it in place. Hmm what an interesting idea, he had never considered the ease of gently tearing and matching ends together. His curiosity grew with each progressive movement on his part. This is the most difficult, of course and if you make the tears too big, you can just rip the leaf in half. I try not to resort to this unless I really have to, Another option is to use something sticky like honey to secure the leaf in place. You just have to be careful not to get it in the wound if it's not supposed to be there. Caz looked across at Casi and chuckled gently himself. "I don't imagine anyone would want to try and climb up to a bee's hive for honey." He teased with another laugh. Then he got serious again, as he looked across at Casi. "What else can you teach me Casi?" He asked as he looked interestedly at the mahogany man. His curiosity had been fed and now he wanted to learn even more and if Casi was willing to teach him, that was even better. He always appreciated learning from someone who knew more than he did. This man could teach him so much, and all of it Caz was willing to learn. He smiled and tipped his towers toward him waiting to learn some more from Casi. casimiro Casi was proud that his little leaf wrap had stayed together. It had taken him a long time to get that particular skill up to par. So many failed leaves. Now he was a veteran. And even with being a veteran, he felt nervous that the little leaves wouldn't stay together. It honestly would be easier to use the existing poultice or honey instead. There was probably some sticky herb that they could try to find as well that might be easier to collect than honey. Casi would have explore that avenue. 'I don't imagine anyone would want to try and climb up to a bee's hive for honey,' Caz said with a laugh. Casi chuckled in agreement. It was not an easy task, that was for sure. He'd done it only once and had only gotten a few stings for his trouble. He didn't really want to do it again, though. It was lucky that they had plenty of herbs that they didn't need honey for healing purposes, though it could be useful. It was just usually not worth the trouble of grabbing it. 'What else can you teach me Casi?' Caz said, his expression changing from amused to serious. Well, that was a broad question. Casi could teach him all kinds of things. It just depended on what he wanted to learn. "It's not fun, that's for sure. Luckily we have enough herbs that we don't need it for healing purposes necessarily," he said. "There might even be a herb that we could use to substitute for its sticky properties too... I'll have to look into that," he added, twisting his lips thoughtfully. That would make their lives easier. As for Caz's other question, he'd need a bit more information first about what Caz wanted to do. Unless he did want to do everything. Casi would never be opposed to that. But he would have to be prepared to spend a lot of time learning. If he was up for that, then Casi was up for it. "As for what I can teach you, I can teach you everything," he said, chuckling a bit again. "Wound care, fevers, stomach aches, headaches, insomnia, mental illness, childbirth... it just depends on what you want to learn," he continued. Did Caz have anything specific in mind? Was there someone he needed to help? Did he need to help himself? "Did you have anything specific in mind or did you just want to learn everything?" he asked with a chuckle. The more information that Casi knew, the better he could teach Caz. tag Wolf Heart timeline before underoath's trial notes oh definitely c: "Speech"

If I'm being honest with you Casi, I just want to learn all that I can from a professional healer. I started training with a relative in the early days of my life, but when they passed I was left on my own. I figured out some things, but I know there is a far broader spectrum of things to learn. Let's start with what you want to begin me on." Caz said and fell silent as he waited. He was curious to see what all Casi could teach him. He had a tiny foundation of how to start. He wanted to expand his horizons as much as he possibly could. A smile crossed his muzzle and he looked at the mahogany stud before him. A master healer, Caz thought he wouldn't ever find another one to continue his training with. Having bumped into Casi could have been the best thing to happen to him since arriving in this land. Now all he needed to do was see where Casi was willing to take his training to next. And soon, perhaps he could figure out some way to help his friend out with what he learned. casimiro When Casi had first discovered that the Vigilum were the group that he was looking for, he had never really had herbs in mind as a part of it all. He pictured himself keeping the peace and intervening in conflicts and protecting people. However, now that he was in it, the biggest part of being a Vigilum was being a healer and learning herbs. It did not fit into the fantasies he'd had about stopping evil-doers and whatnot, but honestly, now that he was older and wiser, he'd much rather be doing this. Doing this meant that there were no pressing conflicts to manage which meant that peace was holding, at least in some parts of Wild Equines. That was the ironic part of being a Vigilum. His wish as a Vigilum meant he didn't want there to be a need for Vigilum - at least in the sense of conflict resolution. Herbs, on the other hand would always come in handy. Casi was eager to teach Caz, but first he needed to know what the stallion knew so he could have a good starting point for him. 'I'd be glad to help you find out if there was an herb that could be useful as an alternative to honey. If I'm being honest with you Casi, I just want to learn all that I can from a professional healer. I started training with a relative in the early days of my life, but when they passed I was left on my own,' Caz explained and Casi nodded. He wondered what this relative had managed to teach him before their passing. That would be helpful to know before he dived into anything. 'I figured out some things, but I know there is a far broader spectrum of things to learn. Let's start with what you want to begin me on,' Caz finished. Well, in order for Casi to figure out what to begin him on, he needed to know what he knew so far. Casi had already gone over very basic wound care with dock leaves and how to make a leaf wrap. Caz did not seem to know about that. But did he know about other things? "What did your relative teach you? What things did you figure out? Let's start there," Casi said, curious. There were a few equines about that knew some things about herbs, but he had yet to come across anyone with as much knowledge as the Vigilum did. tag Wolf Heart timeline before underoath's trial notes <33 "Speech"

Life After Exists➣ As the oddly marked stallion listened to the bay healer, he smiled, "When my grandmother was teaching me what she knew, she taught me the basics that every healer learns. She taught me what's good and bad herbs, she taught me how to mix medicines, how to cover wounds, what can be used to cure the headaches, muscle aches, and the like. What she didn't teach me was what to use for childbirth, what to use to ease the mares aches, what to use if the worst were to happen, how to set and wrap bones so they can heal properly, is this stuff you can teach me or is that too much for a common being to do?" He asked as he looked at the other waiting. >He did want to learn what he could, but he also didn't know if this was all things that the Vigilum could teach him. "The main thing that I am curious about, is there any way someone, a healer or the like, can bring back someone that is gone?" He asked as he looked at the healer, the tiniest spark of hope flickered then died quickly within the depths of his pools. He knew it was a long shot but he hoped it was a possible thing, but he doubted it. He really wanted to bring her back if it was at all possible. He missed her so much. She had been his rock for so long, she had protected him. He had fallen in love with her and he missed her every single day. So much so that he often hallucinated her or thought he had smelled her as she ran by him. A soft sigh slipped free of his muzzle and he looked back to the healer and tipped his towers to him, waiting.

casimiro Healing was something that Casi thought everyone should know how to do. Just the basics, at least. How to stop bleeding, keep out infections, things for headaches and stomach aches. These were relatively easy things to learn and once you learned the herbs for them, they seemed to grow everywhere. He was glad that Caz seemed to know some things, at least. The basics were better than nothing and it would make life easier for everyone. Once everyone knew herbs, would there be a need for the Vigilum? He chuckled inwardly to himself. He supposed that was another aspect of it, along with keeping the peace. If everyone kept the peace and knew how to heal, he would be out of the job. But he considered that a good thing. 'When my grandmother was teaching me what she knew, she taught me the basics that every healer learns. She taught me what's good and bad herbs, she taught me how to mix medicines, how to cover wounds, what can be used to cure the headaches, muscle aches, and the like.' Casi nodded in response. So he did know the basics then, or at least some of them. That was a good sign. It also meant that Casi could flex his more advanced knowledge muscles, which was something he didn't get to do very often! 'What she didn't teach me was what to use for childbirth, what to use to ease the mares' aches, what to use if the worst were to happen, how to set and wrap bones so they can heal properly, is this stuff you can teach me or is that too much for a common being to do?' Yes, definitely the more complicated parts. Childbirth was still an area that Casi was not as confident in since he'd never helped a mare through it yet. But he did know what to expect and what herbs could help. Broken bones were also very difficult. There wasn't much to be done for things like broken or cracked ribs except cold wraps, painkillers, and time. And that was the easiest one. Legs, jaws, shoulders... if they were merely sprained they could be tended to with time and patience, but in those cases, Casi recommended Afterlife intervention. It was very difficult, if not impossible to survive with a broken leg or jaw. 'The main thing that I am curious about, is there any way someone, a healer or the like, can bring back someone that is gone?' Caz asked then and Casi did not miss the spark that flashed in his eyes. Casi's heart went out to him. Unfortunately, there was no way to bring someone back from the dead. Not with the abilities of the Vigilum, at least. He was not sure about the possibilities of the Afterlife. If anything were powerful enough, it would be them. But that was beyond Casi's abilities. He could save someone from the brink of death, but once they were past that, there was nothing he could do. "I'm sorry," he said evenly, sympathy in his brown eyes, "bringing someone back from death is beyond my abilities. The Lords or Ladies of the Afterlife could potentially have that power, but I'm not sure." He truthfully did not know much about the Afterlife or their powers. He knew that his extended healing abilities came from them, but not much beyond that. It was not a path he'd explored. "Be very careful if you choose to explore that path. Some things are not meant to be changed, no matter how much we want them to," he said, his voice gentle. It seemed likely Caz had lost someone close to him that he wanted to see again. But Casi was not sure if that was a wise path to tread. He would not stop him if he tried it, though. Casi might take the opportunity as well, if he knew for sure that he could see his mother again without consequences. But reversing death had to come with consequences. "I can teach you about helping a mare through childbirth - what to expect and what herbs or other items you might need. Broken bones are very difficult to deal with depending on the area and take a lot of time and patience to heal, if they manage to heal at all. In many cases, broken bones require Afterlife intervention to heal, which can come at a cost," he explained. The Afterlife was capable of dealing out miracles, which could heal injuries. However, he didn't think that miracles extended to bringing the dead back to life. He could be mistaken though. Now that the thought was in his head, he was curious about it. How far did their powers extend? What were the limits? tag Wolf Heart timeline before underoath's trial notes <33 "Speech"
