x OUIJA Freshly an adult now, but mortal terms anyway, Ouija was ready to cause even more havoc. Standing at 16 hands, with longhorn cattle horns protruding from either side of his head, the Fiend was a formidable opponent for anyone to meet. Despite looking translucent and ghostly in the mortal realm, Ouija still looked quite intimidating. He was thick and stocky, with a powerful build that promised to take down those even larger than himself. As just a yearling, he had accomplished more in the Underworld than the majority of the demons could even dream to accomplish. Kidnapping Nehemiah with his father, sparking a war, being rewarded with the position of The Savage Beast - a Circle of Hell that he alone ruled. He was well accomplished, but aside from wrath and rage, Ouija also felt greed. He wanted more, and his greed had led him to the home of Helkaer mare. He did not know much about her. She was new and her name was Harlan. That was about all he knew about her, but he was determined to gain and audience with the mare and get something out of it in return. He'd been wanting to take a soul back to the Underworld, the soul of someone unwilling, and he had his eyes set on someone in the Helkaer's lands. A stallion by the name of Nyko, who had recently been stolen by the Helkaer mare herself. He was being held captive in Sinheim, against his will he would assume, and Ouija was frothing at the maw to sink his teeth into him. Well, not really, since he could have no interaction with the mortals, could not touch them no matter how much he wanted to tear the skin from their hide, but hey... a soul was a soul. There was just someone standing in his way. The Underworld and the Helkaer currently held an alliance, of sorts, so he couldn't just go ahead and steal from Harlan. Which meant the young beast was here to make a deal. To attempt to make one, at the very least. Maybe he could help forge their alliance even stronger, prove to Harlan and the rest of the Brotherhood that it would be a good idea to keep the alliance with the Underworld - despite any differences they may have. Grinning maniacally, the demon patrolled through the woman's home, nothing more but a flicker of movement in the sunshine. "Harlan," he called out to her, his voice no longer holding any boyish hint to it. Long gone were the days of frolicking and games of tag... they had never really existed for him, anyway. "Come find me."illɘgal w/ Harlan 443 | ProfileHere's this little devil~ 2 years, autumn, afternoon

i like your blood on my teeth just a little too much A wraith stretched her legs as she emerged from the hidden caves to hunt. She thought having another set of twins would have staved off the hunger, but it had done no such thing. It had seemed to make things worse. Due to the unfortunate responsibilities of being a mother yet again, she had been unable to leave the makeshift nursery long enough for a real meal. Her canine companion had helped as much as she could, but Nine could never seem to bring enough meat back to the borough to satisfy the dappled mare. She needed more. Rage had begun to consume her, and her cambion children had been lucky enough that the older twins were able to hide them away before they had fallen victim to her wrath. While neither of them would say it, they were worried that it was only a matter of time before she turned on them all if she was trapped underground any longer.
The boys had wrangled the young foals off towards the hidden pools not long ago, which allowed the Helkaer to finally be free of the burden of motherhood and have the chance to rise to the surface. The wolf silently padded beside her while keeping a healthy distance before she became the private's next meal. Instead, she made herself useful and kept her nose to the wind. Between the two of them, there should be no issue obtaining game, even if it was a mere rabbit. Harlan needed something fresh and at this point, she was ready to eat anything. As they moved in tandem, she was hyper fixated on the task at hand. Autumn had begun to burrow its way into the lands, causing a cool, biting breeze to blow thinning tumbleweeds across the landscape. The pair navigated the rocky terrain with expertise, both sets of eyes scanning for any signs of life in the gravel. Nine huffed softly as the canine found the scent of game on the wind, and the wraith raised her muzzle to do the same.
Instead of the smell of her next meal, the Helkaer found something else on the breeze. She came to an abrupt halt, ears flicked forward and head high as she searched for the source. At this point, she was nearly salivating - equine. But not quite. This intruder could be her first taste of equine flesh. My, wouldn't that make today interesting? She barely heard her name as magenta depths locked onto shadowy movement. The hunger must be making her delirious - was that a transparent stallion really there? She hadn't had any strange hallucinations yet, but this could be a new development.
Tracking the movement with a predatory stare, she fluidly shifted her body and resumed her hunt with fresh exuberance. The wolf crouched down and took a different route to circle towards the front of the stranger. The wraith's movements were languid, keeping her body loose while the hunger was clear in her eyes as she approached the grullo silently from behind. He was a touch shorter than her but with a much stockier build and long horns upon his skull. She was too far gone to even determine if she knew him, not that she cared anyway. He was an intruder, entering her lands as if he owned them. It didn't matter that his ghostly frame left the sparse foliage and gravel untouched beneath his hooves. What mattered is that he chose the wrong day to come to Sinheim.
Nine stepped out from behind two large boulders in front of the beast with hackles raised and lips pulled back to expose her teeth. Harlan continued to creep closer with a dark, low chuckle dripping from her lips. I found you. But I do not have the patience for games, her tone was biting and thick with hunger. You have thirty seconds to explain why you are trespassing. And time is ticking.

x OUIJA Sinheim was an interesting place. It seemed empty, at the moment, but he had picked up on the fresh scents of multiple equines heavy in the air upon cross the border into the Helkaer's home. He knew she must be here, somewhere, just out of sight, hiding just under his nose. It would be rude to go too deeply into her home and yet, the young brute could not resist wandering, ambling along slowly, each step soundless as his hooves seemed to hover just an inch or two above the surface of the earth. If he wanted to, he could sink beneath the earth's crust, wander whatever may be hiding under the soil, but what he desired was not - to his knowledge - underground. Eventually, the sound of footsteps entered his ears, the appendages twitching toward the delicate sound of hooves scuffling across dirt. He licked his lips, swinging his horned head to look in the direction of the approaching equine. He grinned wickedly when he saw the maiden coming closer and closer, her predatory companion at her side, hackles raised. Etched across the left side of her withers was the mark of the Helkaer - this must be the mare he sought. Harlan. His grin grew, maniacal and gruesome. The mare's wolf companion circled around to the front of Ouija and though he really didn't have to (in his eyes), he halted. His eyes, however, remained on Harlan, unbothered by the large canine. They could not harm him, anyway. She was behind him and, slowly, he turned to face her, putting his back to the wolf - a display of cockiness, of arrogance. However, the boy did think enough of the mare to at least give a casual dip of his head; a sign of respect. I found you. But I do not have the patience for games. Her tone was that of a predator. Ouija grinned all the more. You have thirty seconds to explain why you are trespassing. And time is ticking. He let out a rumbling chuckle, licking his lips once more. "Time ticks for all of us, Harlan," he spoke, but continued on to say, "My name is Ouija, and I have come to you because you have something I want, Harlan, and I was hoping we could discuss an.. arrangement, of sorts."illɘgal w/ Harlan 393 | ProfileArrogant boi 2 years, autumn, afternoon

i like your blood on my teeth just a little too much The Helkaer knew that it was difficult to sneak up on anyone in her barren lands and was unsurprised that the trespasser had quickly spotted her as she made her way toward him. Even as the savage pair split up to encircle the stallion, his attention was already zeroed in. Magenta depths locked onto mismatched ones as the wolf halted his progress and he turned to face the wraith. Nine remained where she was, keeping her threatening stance in silence as the mare's gaze took in the shadowed beast. It lingered for a heartbeat on the symbol on his forehead, not bothering to consider what it meant before moving on. His translucency suggested the Afterlife, which only led to infuriate the Helkaer more. She had enough taste of the undead after her meetings with Xerxes, especially after carrying yet another set of twins. At least this time they had the blood of the Underworld instead of a guard in the Dark kingdom running through their veins. It didn't make them any less annoying, unfortunately.
Harlan didn't return the beast's dip of his head, her gaze returning to his face shifting into a glare. She wanted to wipe the grin off his face and bathe in his undead blood. Would it taste the same as a living creature's? She would love to find out. His chuckle made her focus, the hunger beginning to subside as her rage began to take its place. Time ticks for all of us, Harlan. She rolled her eyes in response. Now that the need for flesh was being pushed down, she was able to fully take in the stallion in front of her. The symbol and lack of solidity finally clicked - a fiend. A different kind demon. Interesting. My name is Ouija, and I have come to you because you have something I want, Harlan, and I was hoping we could discuss an.. arrangement, of sorts. His name was unfamiliar, but the Helkaer was more focused on the latter part of his statement. It was disappointing that she wouldn't be able to taste his flesh today, for she had no desire to discuss anything with the fiend.
The rage, curiosity, and hunger warred beneath her flesh as Harlan shook her head in faint amusement. There have been enough arrangements between the Helkaer and the Underworld, Ouija, she sneered his name as her eyes began to narrow. What, pray tell, could I possibly have that you want? Haven't I given enough to the cause? The Helkaer shook her head again with anger creeping across her facade. Even if I actually had whatever you are looking for, I doubt you have anything to offer that will make me hand it over.

x OUIJA Being a younger half-brother to Xerxes, the Lord of the Underworld, was not a known fact about the Fiend. In fact, he doubted anyone not related to him even knew it. Xerxes did not treat him any different. Ouija received no special treatment for being blood kin on the hell lord. But it did push Ouija to push himself all the more, all the harder. He wanted fame and glory from chaos and bloodshed. He was only enough now to start doing things on his own, without the guidance of his father, Acacias, and Harlan was just going to be step one. He wanted to make his own connections. He wanted to make the mortals quake with fear just by the mere mention of his name. And he wanted to make sure that this war was won - especially since he'd started it. Kidnapping Nehemiah had been a spur of the moment decision between himself and his father and, oh, what a joy it had been. He could still taste the brute's blood on his tongue, feel it on his lips. He wanted nothing more than to parade around the fact that he was him who had done it, but alas, Acacias had told him to lay low. For now, at least. Perhaps it would always be a mystery to Utopia as to who had done it. Ouija would have to find another claim to glory. Harlan was angry with him. Frustrated. Annoyed. It was amusing to the young Fiend, the smug look on his face never leaving. She may want to tear the flesh from his very bones but until she was dead, she could not touch him. He was safe from her wrath, not that he was afraid of a little danger. He thrived in violence. There have been enough arrangements between the Helkaer and the Underworld, Ouija, He did not know the extent of these arrangements, however, he did know that that there must be some. For in this war, the Helkaer and the Underworld were allies. Brought together by mutual hatred. What, pray tell, could I possibly have that you want? Haven't I given enough to the cause? Her eyes narrowed at him and the horned Fiend cocked his head, letting her speak. Letting her get it all out of her system. Even if I actually had whatever you are looking for, I doubt you have anything to offer that will make me hand it over.Might as well let her in on his plans. "I want the soul of the brute named Nyko. I tracked him here, to your home. Your ownership. And it would be so very rude to steal from someone who has given so much for the Underworld." His words were smug, but not mocking. He was playing nice - trying to, anyway. "I could give you information in return. Information on anyone you wanted. I have ways of getting it, ways that are impossible for anyone that has ever lived within a mortal body." After all, he was capable of things even Xerxes could not do. "Place me as a spy anywhere you wish. Let me know what you want to know, and I will find out. Bring it back to you, and you do with it what you want. All I want in return is an itty bitty soul." His gold and black eyes glimmered with hostility, not directed at her, but eager for the thrill of a fight, for the screams of war. illɘgal w/ Harlan 582 | ProfileHehehehe~ 2 years, autumn, afternoon

i like your blood on my teeth just a little too much The Helkaer private was truly growing tired of the visits with the Underworld. While she was on board with the missions from Xerxes, that didn't mean her land was open for demons to come traipsing through whenever they pleased. In her opinion, if there were no battles ongoing in Sinheim, they had no business being there. As the wraith eyed the grullo fiend, she debated just walking away. Theoretically, if she couldn't harm him, he couldn't attack her. If that was the case, then truly what could he do? Annoy her until she actually listened? No, it was better to get these over with sooner rather than later.
Harlan hoped that the beast would interpret her tone correctly and disappear. She wanted violence, and unfortunately, he wasn't going to be able to satisfy that need. This conversation had to come to an end so the mare and canine could continue on their hunt. Her magenta eyes remained transfixed in a glare as she tried to convey her obvious displeasure at his presence. Based off the expression that continued to be plastered across his face, Ouija was either blind or didn’t entirely care. Both situations were annoying. This whole interaction was annoying. Harlan huffed when he finally responded to her, ears slowly flicking back in renewed irritation. I want the soul of the brute named Nyko. I tracked him here, to your home. Your ownership. And it would be so very rude to steal from someone who has given so much for the Underworld. Nyko’s soul? What would Ouija want the young stallion’s soul for? Harlan’s head tilted a fraction, her curiosity resurfacing.
She let the fiend keep talking, her mind whirring. She had been slowly working on spies in every kingdom, starting with the Dark kingdom. They may have a temporary truce with the Helkaer for now, but that wasn’t going to last. No, Harlan had plans for Thomasin and her dog. That would have to come later, but it was never too soon to start gathering intel. Since Nemesis had her own bone to pick with the Light kingdom, perhaps she could plant this creature into the Neutral kingdom. After all, they did seem to have a habit of queens going missing. Wouldn’t it be a… shame if another one happened to disappear?
The wraith met those two-toned eyes with a smirk creeping across her white dipped lips. You have just become significantly more interesting, she started with a dark chuckle. Her own depths started to reflect the violence in response to the fiend's. I could use eyes and ears in Meraki Woods. I have heard some stories about the last queen and I would love to know where she is, whether that means she was kidnapped or is in hiding. I would like to get my hands on her. I would also be interested in any information on how they plan on preventing their new queen from disappearing, as well as details about their contributions to the war. Harlan tilted her head again and hummed in thought. I think your assistance in the matter would be a fair trade for a soul. Why do you want it anyway? He's just a boy, after all.

x OUIJA There wasn't any specific reason that Ouija desired for hold ownership of Nyko's soul. Really, he just wanted to cause some chaos, and Nyko had been the unlucky bastard that his attention had settled on. Plus, it gave him an excuse to come to the Outlands and learn a bit about the Helkaer. He did not have much history here in Wild Equines just yet, other than the whole, ya know, kidnapping Nehemiah thing, and the young Fiend was hellbent and determined on making a name for himself. He did not want to be just another number, just another lowlife demon. No, Ouija had plans for himself. His name would eventually be all it took to strike fear in those that lived in the mortal realm. He would find ways of hurting them without being able to touch them. To manipulate their minds in a way that would make them quake with fear simply just by hearing his name. Maybe he would make an exception for Harlan, though. She amused him. Ouija let the silent simmer and settle between them after he had spoken. This was going to be the moment of truth! Would she agree to his proposition? And if so, where would she have him go to try and spy for her and gather information that would be useful not only to the Helkaer, but to the Underworld as well? Two birds and one stone. It was perfect. Finally, Harlan seemed to come to her senses, meeting his cryptic gaze with a smirk forming upon her own lips. You have just become significantly more interesting, The youth chuckled, pleased with the answer. A slow nod of his head was given, the Fiend locking away the information in his mind. The Neutral Kingdom! He had yet to go there. He would be more than happy to learn more about the Kingdom. I think your assistance in the matter would be a fair trade for a soul. Why do you want it anyway? He's just a boy, after all. Harlan questioned him next, a slight tilt to her head, and the ghostly looking horned beast gaze a sinister grin, one of pure chaos. "He was simply just the first to catch my eye," he said, giving his tail a slight twitch. "But he will not be the last. Chaos consumes everything, after all, and I am quite the advocate for chaos." Arching his neck, the stocky grullo eyed the Helkaer mare curiously. "I will get to work on my plans to learn all about Meraki Woods and the new Neutral Queen. Any information I find will be brought back to you, personally, from myself. Sound like a plan?"illɘgal w/ Harlan 523 | ProfileSneaky chaotic boi 2 years, autumn, afternoon
