The sound of a large heavy equine could be heard as the draft wandered without haste, taking his time so that his coat would not be sleek with sweat as the Light King made the journey to one of the Light Mainlands under his care. While Hunroor had intended to visit all of the Light Mainlands, to meet the leaders on a more personal level and possibly meet their herd members, something drew him to the land known as Desolate Earth first. It was known that the previous leader had been banished after a trial held in the last Light King's reign, but Underoath's wrongdoings were his own and Hunroor felt it wrong to judge the brute's successor. While their meeting had been brief during his coronation, Sancto proved to be an interesting individual who was ready to assist the Kingdom, Nixi and himself. The language the bay Clydesdale used was none that Hunroor had ever heard of before and didn't quite understand, of the three words spoken in a different language, Hunroor could only guess the first two and assume the third.
With questions in mind, Hunroor carefully crossed the border of the land, weaving through the trees only a short distance till he found a track that appeared to be heavily used. The land seemed to be ravaged by storms often, given the state of the land and forest, thankfully today's nice weather seemed to be holding but the cambion knew that the weather could change in a blink of an eye. "I've come for some conversation if you're up for it Sanctio," Hunroor called out in deep booming tones, friendly and unofficial. While this visit is intended to check on the land and herd, to find out if they need assistance or have any concerns they wish to voice, Hunroor looked forward to building a strong foundation with the leaders under his rule. As Hunroor saw it, how could he expect loyalty from his people if he never took the time to be on even ground with them, to show that he cared about them, they needed to know that he was someone they could count on. Hunroor could only hope that being a cambion would not be an issue, that having a demon for a father wouldn't influence his actions, and he would more than welcome any questions or concerns if it would help put minds at ease.

x SANCTIO It was a rare sunny day in Desolate Earth, so the entire herd was out and about today, stretching their legs and mingling with one another. Sanctio had spent the vast majority of the morning helping alongside Mariposa to get Ratty to confront her fear of water so that she could bathe. She had made some progress, but it was still very difficult to get the mare into the water. Once she was in it, she could keep herself calm for a short while now, allowing her time to bathe properly, but once she hit her limit, she was fleeing from the water was quickly as possible. Sanctio and Mari had both had to coax her into the water, using positive reinforcement and promises of Mari helping her find her favorite treats afterward. The two girls had now set off looking for berries and Sanctio, still damp from being in the water, was heading to a clearing to sun himself when he heard a voice calling for him. "I've come for some conversation if you're up for it Sanctio," The voice was somewhat familiar but at first, he couldn't place it. Still, he shook himself and did and about face to head in the direction of the call. Moments later, he realized that it was the Light King that had come seeking him out. The large Clydesdale grinned at the one-eyed monarch, whinnying a quiet but warm greeting as he approached. "El rey!" Came Sanctio's soothing vocals, a grin spreading across his muzzle. "Qué pasa?" Of course, assuming the King did not understand Sanctio's native tongue, he spoke in the common tongue of Wild Equines as well. "How can I help you today? All is well in the Kingdom?" He hoped all was well, at least. He hadn't heard of any bad reports coming from Rain Forest Beach, so he was going to assume this was more of a social visit than a strictly political one. As he stood waiting for Sancto to arrive, Hunroor took a quiet moment to really look at the land around him. It was clear that frequent storms tormented this land, leaving the vegetation damp and the earth muddy, bones protruded from the more shallow mud and he wouldn't be surprised if many more were hidden deeper down. It seemed hard to believe that such a land was one that belonged to the Light Kingdom, it seemed like a home more suited to the Darks or even the Helkaer, for they seemed to favour the harsher climates. Rain Forest Beach was vastly different in comparison, with golden beaches and a vibrant forest, it was far more welcoming than this storm-torn land. The chimeric draft was sure that there was a hidden charm about this land that made it homely for Sanctio and his herd, the mud was certainly a good defence and deterrent for any who wished to cause trouble, and the land being constantly damp would protect them from fire.
Hunroor's attention shifted from the land to the large Clydesdale that approached with a grin curving his velvets and a warm whinny from his vocals, a warm welcome that the King appreciated greatly. The stallion then spoke a few words alien to him "El rey! Qué pasa?", all the while a grin spread across his muzzle, causing Hunroor to smile back while hoping that Sanctio would speak some English so that he may understand him, knowing that Sanctio can of course. Maybe he could take some time to learn this stallion's language so that communication wasn't strained between them should Sanctio not know all English words, once the war was over and everyone could relax at least. Surely enough, Sanctio spoke again, this time in English so that Hunroor could understand, "How can I help you today? All is well in the Kingdom?". The king bobbed his crown up and down twice to indicate that all is well, his head now steady as his one violet eye held Sanctio warmly, "Yes, all is well Sanctio. I've come today for a visit, to get to know you, the herd and land." Hunroor didn't want to beat around the bush as to why he came to visit, small talk never achieved much and was quite frankly, uncomfortable. "I've also come to ask if there was anything I could do for you. With the war well and truly here, I want to make sure all needs are met and any concerns voiced, that I have taken all necessary steps to ensure everyone in the Light Kingdom is taken care of," tones were warm and casual as Hunroor spoke, wanting to keep this visit lighthearted as much as possible. There was enough to stress about when it came to the war, and for himself when it came to the deal he made with the Helkaer named Nemesis, though little did he know that things were going to get more messy with the Helkaer.

x SANCTIO Though many may question his loyal to the Light Kingdom because of where he lived, and of his past with Underoath, Sanctio did not mind. He knew where his loyalties were, and where they would remain. He was not only a member of the Light Kingdom, but an ally of Utopia. Rasa and Cadence held over his soul, for however long it would take for him to become a member of Utopia himself. He knew they would do their best to keep it safe, and that should the Underworld get his soul within their clutches, the Lord or Lady of Utopia would do their best to fight for it back. Sanctio was not going to worry about such things, however, not when he was feeling so warm in the sun of early spring - and sunshine was such a rarity here in Desolate Earth! They had to take their gifts of nature when they could, as they never knew when the sun would show itself again here. Hunroor was smiling at him, though he did not say anything until after Sanctio spoke again in the native tongue of Wild Equines. That was understandable; after all, it seemed so few understood Sanctio's own native language. "Yes, all is well Sanctio. I've come today for a visit, to get to know you, the herd and land." The slightly shorter Clydesdale grinned and nodded. "My home is home to you and any in the Light Kingdom!" he stated, motioning around him with his muzzle. "My King and Queen will always be welcomed here." It was the truth. Sanctio wanted to make Desolate Earth known for something more than Oath's sins that he had been exiled for. He could do that by making sure he was welcoming and loyal to the King and Queen, for starters. "I've also come to ask if there was anything I could do for you. With the war well and truly here, I want to make sure all needs are met and any concerns voiced, that I have taken all necessary steps to ensure everyone in the Light Kingdom is taken care of," The topic os war was unavoidable, but Sanctio wished they could talk of something else despite knowing that it was more than likely the main reason for Hunroor for coming here. "I have aligned myself with Utopia, and all has been well in my home, for now. Faded scent trails of intruders but none of them, from what I have found, have gotten very far into my home, or much further than the border itself." He frowned then, eyes darkening. "I do look forward to the day this war ends, and we can live without fear of demons and their allies trying to bring harm to us."Roman w/ Hunroor 460 | Profilenotes 9 years 3 months, early spring, sunny day

The dark bay stallion appeared to be older than Hunroor, and only slightly shorter, his eyes a dark brown. He wasn't sure what Sanctios ties were with Underoath, if they were related or just herd mates that had built trust over the years to where Sanctio was chosen to take over, though the stallion could have just put himself forth for the position with the herds blessing. Hunroor wasn't sure if he should inquire about the herd's past or just let it be, after all, he was sure that it may bring up some bad memories and that was something the King wanted to avoid when the world was already in such turmoil. It didn't take him long to decide not to, Hunroor was here not to dwell in the past, unlike the Darks who had gone as far as to blame others who were not involved. Sanctio and his herd deserved peace, as does everyone.
Sanctio was warm towards Hunroor, seeming rather upbeat about opening his home to the new King, "My home is home to you and any in the Light Kingdom!," This caused an appreciative smile to spread across the drafts muzzle as the bays head motioned to the land around them. "My King and Queen will always be welcomed here," Sanctio then said, reaffirming his original statement, and Hunroor appreciated the stallion's upfront loyalty. It was something the Light Alliance needed, especially in times of war, loyal members of their alliance who could count on each other without the fear of treachery. It was a shame that Underoath was not one of those individuals and had strayed from the path of morality, Hunroor just hoped that the gray stallion could live with the immoral things he had done and find peace once his life is over.
When Hunroor mentioned his reason for the visit, to ensure everyone was well cared for and if there was anything Hunroor could do for them, it seemed to have made the conversation not as comfortable as he had hoped, sensing unease. "I have aligned myself with Utopia, and all has been well in my home, for now. Faded scent trails of intruders but none of them, from what I have found, have gotten very far into my home, or much further than the border itself," the bay lead spoke, sharing information that cause some concern that intruders had come within the Light Kingdom but had left when the found the land hard to transverse, which he was grateful for. "I have not aligned myself with either afterlife faction," Hunroor stated, purely out of curiosity as to how Sanctio would feel that the Light King had not readily aligned with the most obvious choice for one of their alliance, and if he might voice his opinion, concern or nothing at all. "I'm glad all is well and that the intruders left without issue, should they return, please send for me and I will assist you. For added protection, would you like me to have a Knight posted to your land?," While knights had been mentioned at his coronation, he wasn't sure if the herd leaders knew that a few equines have already signed up for the task, he hoped that this would bring some peace to Sanctio.
"I do look forward to the day this war ends, and we can live without fear of demons and their allies trying to bring harm to us," Sanctio added and Hunroor nodded heartedly, it surely would be a wonderous day when the war ends. At this present time, the end of the war seemed so far away, how many would be injured and even die before the afterlife swallows their pride? Hunroor could only hope soon, but that was wishful thinking.
