Most equines would be afraid to walk through the swamp at night, but the horned Fiend had nothing to fear. Nothing and no one of the mortal world could touch him. He was virtually invincible here, especially since he held powers no mortal equine would possess - weather manipulation and sensory deprivation, owed to his father and mother and him being a Fiend. A pure demonic entity. He'd never known a life of mortality, had been born with his soul already consumed by Hell, and he would have it no other way. He was still just a boy, in the eyes of most, but his youth should not be underestimated for he'd already done such terrible things in his lifetime. In fact, he had played a major part in the war starting. After all, it was because of him and his father that Nehemiah had been taken in the first place. He could still taste the fallen Lord's blood on his tongue. Ouija licked his lips at the memory, his gold and black eyes glinting in the fading sunlight. Oh, what he would do to have another taste of the angel's blood and flesh and feathers.
Chuckling to himself, he walked soundlessly through the mire, his horned head held high with pride. He did not care that he did not belong here - the water did not even ripple as he walked through it. He may as well have just been a ghost, a figment of the imagination. Even the gators that lingered in the murky water did not try to bother him. Could they even see him, he wondered, or would he appear as just a ghostly figure as he did to the mortal equines? He pondered that as he made his way toward the edge of the tree line. Eventually, the water became less and less and the trees began to thin out. It was then that he caught sight of the volcano within Wild Equines. Mount Malvolia. He halted then, a grin on his face as he gaze out at the volcano. Through the light of dusk, he could catch the faint glow of the lava that flowed from it. Down the sides of the volcano. Flowing out and away from it. It was beautiful. It reminded him of home.
