Name- Spike Breed- paint x arabian x shire Age- 6 Gender- xy Height- 18.0 Alliance- dark Health- 100% Somewhere in the dark, his mate was alone. She was alone and probably being beaten and why? Because he had been such a foolish mate, not blocking his mate. It was uncalled for and he felt ashamed. He knew he couldn't do something stupid ever again, he didn't know what he would do without her. Reth. His thoughts where on her, they seemed to be heavy and hard to understand. He was not himself, he had only gotten back to the Dark Woods. Only to make such a stupid mistake and cut her return short. But that would be no more, she had spent enough time there. She had lost her battle and now it was his turn, for he wasn't going to let this go that easily. He was the leader, he was the stallion who was the main herd protector now. He needed to do something about it, which is why he was here today. He had echoed a challenge the moment she had lost, for he wouldn't give up until he got her home soon. He hoped nothing too bad had happened, he wanted to see her in tack. "Stupid, Stupid.... why am I so stupid?" he questioned himself. Thankfully there was nothing around him at the moment. He couldn't even hold steal, his body was shaking with rage. He had fought once before, fighting for the right of somebody. But who it was he wasn't sure, it could have been Andromeda. But those where memories of the past, which had long been forgotten by now.It had been over three years he was sure and so many things had happened since the time. But the rage he was feeling now, it was so uncontrollable. The trembling muscles, they just seemed to not stop. His legs where starting to ache, almost like they where ready to begin. But there would be somebody here soon, or at least he thought there would be. Surely they wouldn't give up? At least not without a fight he hoped, they had worked him up this much. Muscles quivered again, a flick of his tail and his harks. Pale brown eyes searched, hoping he could find the answer to his problems soon. He gritted his teeth together, before he finally had to move. His body lunched forward, hooves meeting the ground with a large thump. The moon was shinning tonight, it was bright and the color of red. It looked like he could reach out and touch it, but he knew it wasn't true. Shaking his head, he finally came to a stop. Pinning his harks, arching his neck and closing his eyes at once. His body was tense for the moment, tail flicked only for a moment before settling in place. His scared body didn't seem to move, not even for a single breath. When he opened his eyes, his body relaxed and he looked towards the sky for a moment. He hoped the gods where watching, he needed their support tonight. A single hark flicked when he heard a sound, causing his body to swing in the direction he thought he heard something. Name- Sempitneral Breed- Andalusian x Mustang x Welsh Cob Age- Three Gender- Stallion Height- 16hh Alliance- Light Health- 100%
It had been a few weeks since his last scuffle in the battle field. His wounds were nearly finished healing up and his frame seemed to be recovering well from the soreness. Despite the intense pain and suspicion he had pulled or torn a muscle, he continued to keep himself physically fit. Being a lazy monarch would leave his harem unprotected in the worst way. Sempiternal had vowed to his harem members that he would protect them at all costs and that he was even willing to lay down his life for them. He had to be ready for anything.
This skirmish most certainly fell into a 'miscellaneous' category of 'anything' too. It was nearly irrelevant in his opinion. The mahogany and charcoal stained baron had attempted to steal the queen of a dark land, Dark Woods, a few weeks before and he had won the rights to her freedom in a battle. Now, her lovely mate was challenging for her freedom. It was a cute chapter to a typical love story. But Sempiternal didn't have any intentions of letting the 'hero' win over the 'villain' today to rescue the damsel in distress. Also, the minx's mate turned out to be the ruler of Dark Woods which made this battle a bit sweeter for the Spanish blooded czar. Knowing that both rulers from one of his ally's long list of enemies were involved was a sweet deal. He even had plans of handing Reth off to his ally as a thank you gift or keeping her to himself. Whichever option proved to be worth his time. He had heard a few things about the strapping beast he was up against today. Spike was a large draft cross who stood at an astounding eighteen hands. For Sempiternal, sixteen hands was all he needed to be an effective war machine. Easy to maneuver, easy to attain quick bursts of speed but not for extended periods, and he was quite agile too. Not to mention, there was a three year age difference between the two studs. Spike was six, Sempiternal was three. Youth and agility was on Sempi's side as well as being relatively seasoned in battles. He wasn't sure of this guy's win to lose ratio or if he had one beyond 0-0.
Granted, most equines with a brain could figure out at least something to do for attacks even if they hadn't been in a fight before. It was instinctive to protect yourself where you were most vulnerable by any means that you were capable of in a fight or flight situation. But that was assuming the larger equine had a brain. The light baron would find out soon if he did or not though. The bronze and obsidian hued knight began the trek from Gray Pine Valley to the battle field at an easy, rolling three beat. Blades and pelvis moved smoothly without the hindrance of arthritis or injury. However he was sure that a day would come where his bod would begin to fail him and he would not be able to take up so many challenges so often. This would make his second fight in about a month's time. That was hard on one's physique, even in his fit condition. But the light beast would make the best of it as he could. As ebony dipped limbs carried his muscular and battle ready form to the battle field in the evening hours, he began to plot his fighting strategy as well as various offensive attacks he could employ against his larger opponent. The terms that designed this fight were simple. Two hits each and no dodges. That being the case, Sempi would have to be sure to significantly maim his antagonist to lessen the overall damage incurred by two assaults against him.
Golden spheres surveyed the heat dried earthen field before him as his opponent stood upon the horizon in waiting. At this point, he had been cantering for awhile and he slowed to a two beat to air up and let his muscle system recharge a little. He didn't need to be fatigued from the journey already even though he wasn't tired or worn thin yet. The scarred beast soon came to a halt before his opponent and quick, scrutinizing orbs scanned over Spike to draw in as many conclusions about the other stag before choosing his moves wisely. "May the best czar be the victor." A slight smirk tugged at the corner of his labrums as acidic baritones rolled out upon the gentle western breeze that disturbed the atmosphere. In a silent notion that it was his opponent's turn up to the first move, Sempiternal began to circle his antagonist with a predatory stalk. He wasn't the one making this challenge. The instigator could make the first move.

Name- Spike Breed- paint x arabian x shire Age- 6 Gender- xy Height- 18.0 Alliance- dark Health- 100% Carefully he waited, trying to plot out the perfect attacks. But he knew ever plan when to hell when it came to actually fighting. There was nothing you could do to stick to something, because things would change and that was one thing that he feared. It was something that he couldn't prepare for, something he honestly wasn't even ready to try to start. Every fiber in his very soul was screaming at him, screaming for him to stop this crazy stunt right now. But his mind was saying no, but most of all his heart was saying no. There was no way he could leave his love alone and behind, he needed her to help rule her father's land. He couldn't do it alone, well he could, but it wouldn't be the same. Shaking his head and letting out a growl of frustration, he looked forward towards the setting sun. The night would be upon them soon enough, making the battle become an even different one. Their eyes would adjust to the setting sun and the darkness, but it would change the game up all together as he knew all to well. The forest would come alive at night, even more so in these parts. The dry earth rarely left anything, it was almost like the trees themselves demanded every ounce of blood and water that landed on this earth for themselves. Or maybe it was that it was all trammeled way and almost grew in fear. Shaking his head, upon the horizon was the one who held his mate captive. He was coming, but it looked like he was in almost in no hurry. Which wouldn't bother him much, but he would like to see his mate sooner rather than later. Soon he was here and Spike was trying to control his body, it was almost like he wasn't in control anymore. But he listened, trying to make sense of the words that came from the Sempiternal's mouth, but there was nothing that he could understand almost. His body was in such a rage that it was screaming louder than what his mind could understand. He noticed the stalking stance and his body language had changed. He froze for a moment, his body held still as he tried to calm himself. But as soon as his breath was let out, he moved towards the stallion. Rearing up lightly only wondering if Semp would meet him in mind air for a fighting rear. He wasn't meaning to attack, but simple see what he had to offer in another way. But that was enough of that, for not it was time for the real battle. Hooves left the earth as he raised himself off the ground once more to slam his daggers into Sempiternal. Maybe he would hit his head? or his neck even? He didn't know where his hooves would fall, but he knew they would be hitting something other than the ground. Post Breakdown: He came forward at first, to meet Semp in a mid air rear. Like wild stallions do, only to test not to attack. Once that was done and they where both on their feet again, he reared and tried to attack his head or neck with his hooves. Name- Sempitneral Breed- Andalusian x Mustang x Welsh Cob Age- Three Gender- Stallion Height- 16hh Alliance- Light Health- 85% - torn flesh from his shoulder, bone is showing & bruised ribs The waning sunlight cloaked the atmosphere with crimson and goldenrod splashes as ivory clouds stretched out across the skies. A late hour battle had the potential to shift the final outcome but, it also had the potential to shift the way the entire fight played out. Golden spheres lifted toward the atmosphere for a moment to catch the faint blue-white twinkling of stars in the distant outer space before his gaze lowered back down to the gargantuan painted brute before him. Sempiternal scrutinized the beast quickly and efficiently. Their size difference, agility, and strategy involving their physical fitness would most likely have a lot to do with this fight. He was not implying that Spike was incapable because of his large size. He was merely implying that it would be all too easy for Sempiternal to cut in and out away from the brute and begin to fatigue Spike before going in for his first or final assault. That was not his plan at the moment but it was certainly a nice option if things went south.
The painted creature did not respond to the light czar's simple statement and Sempiternal struggled to keep his mouth quiet. Should he dig the thorn deeper? Or let Spike off easy as far as verbal communication went? Although, he wasn't quite sure that Spike knew who's side Sempi was really on. Hmm...this might help wake the larger beast from his stupor. "You know, my lady friend and ally Necropolis is pretty pleased that I captured the queen of Carnevale Letale's enemy. Wouldn't it be cute if I brought the pair of you to her for a little get together that should've happened eons ago?" Baritones became a venomous injection into the atmosphere as a wry smile tugged at his ebony dipped muzzle. He had no idea if Necropolis was happy or not. They hadn't spoken in awhile but he was fairly certain that if she knew about it, she would be at least somewhat gleeful. The fall of supposedly great empires always pleased her. Especially if she despised the rulers like Dark Woods'. This little gig was not done by unjust means or without a purpose. Since Gray Pine Valley and Carnevale were allies by way of Sempiternal being a spy for Carnevale, he figured he'd take care of some loose ends for her. Or maybe unravel a few other strings.
Ebony plume swished at obsidian dipped limbs as gnats began to nip and bite at his mahogany flesh with the setting sun while he waited for Spike to make the first move. If he would. Sempiternal's predatory stance continued as he still stalked around his opponent to further size him up until the other stud began to move forward. Battle ready frame swung his hind end away from the circle he created to protect his spine and Sempiternal leaped forward into a three beat toward the towering brute. As soon as Spike began to sit back on his hocks and raise his front end into the air, Sempiternal did the same but with a minor twist. As he rose up into the air, he twisted his front end away from Spike and let his right shoulder and ribs take most of the trauma from being struck by dinner plate sized hooves. Strike after strike in rapid succession tore open his bay flesh upon his shoulder blade and revealed the crimson red meat below. Claret fluid began to trickle down over his muscular blade now. As he continued twisting away from Spike, another dagger struck his rib cage and bruised the tender muscles that surrounded the injury site. A low grunt left Sempiternal's larynx before his harks finally snapped back and a vicious snarl followed up the grunt of pain.
Now it was on.
Sempiternal could be pleasant until blood was shed and then it was game over for whoever was against him. After taking a pretty good beating from the draft brute and now that he was beginning to lose his impulsion from his rear, Sempiternal tossed his cranium toward Spike's chest with jaws wide open while gnashing his fangs to throw off his balance so he could buck. The gnashing of his jaws was part of a result of his head being thrown toward the earth to offset his center of balance. His front end slammed down to the ground and his hind end immediately rose into the atmosphere. Hind knives were tucked under his body until he was at the highest advantage he could reach before twin knives struck out like lances. He didn't care what part of Spike he struck and/or sank his teeth into as long as he had done something to the other beast. Blood continued to drip down over his shoulder and down his fore piston. Each pull on the muscle strings and the dusty air made the injury burn oh so horribly that it made the brute's spheres water slightly. No droplets ran from the corners of his pools though. Sempiternal knew the risk of choosing not to use his dodge right then. He would be laid up in Gray Pine Valley for a little while now with this shoulder injury but for right now, he had a battle to finish. Bloody and banged up shoulder and ribs or not.
The light hellion side stepped away from Spike when he touched back down to the ground, his shoulder blade audibly creaking already. Sempiternal had one attack he could use left. He needed to make it a good one in case his first one didn't pan out so well. If anything, he could hold off on his last attack and buy himself some time to think by using his only dodge available.
word count | 957 muse | eh music | the commanded - memphis may fire notes | he did not dodge spike's attack. he let his right shoulder and ribs take the brunt of it before trying to bite spike as he jumped forward on his front end so he could buck and kick using both back feet.

Scars, scars and more scars. What marks would this battle leave on his frame now? But most important what type of mental impact would it have upon him? It worried him to know that he was taking a chance of losing for his mate, but if he didn't fight then he was giving up on her. He didn't want to even be considered a traitor, he was always known as the fighter and he wasn't backing down now. He hoped their love would be enough to prevail him threw this battle with flying colors. His muscles quivered as he though quietly, trying not to respond to the beast that he was fighting. He wanted to talk and be respectful, but that was questionable with his state of mind currently. He wished he could hold a civil conversation, but considering what has happened between the two of them.... he knew his words would be anything but understandable and coherent. His eyes watched carefully as his ears twitched silently, his whole body was as hard as a rock. There was not one part of him that he didn't have under control at the moment, but he could feel himself losing it slowly. But for some reason he wasn't afraid; he wasn't even afraid to die right now. He would give up his life for his mate, even put himself in chains if it meant she would be set free. She didn't need to be a prisoner after all, he had failed his duty as her mate. But something washed over him, but only for a brief moment in time. “ I don't see how it could have happened and it will never happen again, this I will promise you. Until I die, you won't get your hands on her or our children unless you kill me. If you do, I will be back until you return them or I win them from you. I will not trade another for them or give up anything, nor will I agree to never return if I lose. So just hear me out brute, stop talking to me because I do not give a damn what you say from here on out. So keep your comments to yourself, just get down to the point because i've wasted enough time trying to control every fiber of my body from killing you.” he spoke. These words would be the only thing he would say during this whole battle, because he knew words where useless. Only actions would speak for what he wanted. After all he knew that actions spoke louder than words and he was going to put that into play here.
Long legs relaxed as well as every other body part that he was holding tightly. He was ready to put himself into this battle and take every bit of pain he was about to receive. The setting sun was now a fading orange dot on the background of this battle. He hoped it wouldn't be a bloody one, but one that was short and to the point. Hence why he didn't want to spend all day here, he wanted a couple of attacks and for them to be done with it. They rose into the air and the battle had begun; for now on he hoped the games would be set aside. Giant hooves struck upon the bay beast's frame, one struck after the other. Until the flesh beneath had started to show and the blood was obvious now. He snorted lightly and growled, his body was trembling with fear in a way. A stray blow had managed to hit the Sempiternal's ribs, but it wasn't really intended to be an attack. He stopped and looked at him, snorting lightly. A growl came from his throat as the beast grunted and then growled at him. He only put a smirk on his muzzle, but then again he was a clumsy loaf. But his clumsy actions where about to show when he tried to move, but failed.
He saw it coming but his body had froze without much warning. He had been so tense that he had caused his muscles and tendons to tighten without release. He was getting a cramp and he knew it was about to turn bad! He looked upward but he was to late to try and do anything. A loud growl of pain came from his mouth when he was bitten in the shoulder. He could feel his tightened muscles refusing to move and the pain from the cramp was made even worse. Flesh was showing and blood was flowing, but then his shoulder gave way. He faltered, his weight taking him down from the pain of the attack and the cramping muscles. But he was not defenseless. His teeth where not as sharp but they where blunt but where not meant for biting. He would be damned if he let him get away with this. He opened his mouth, hoping to bite down on a ear or even the top of his head where a bridle path would go, right behind the ears. He rose to his feet quickly, stumbling for a moment before he was knocked off balance by hooves that made contact on his shoulder. He would be lame in the shoulder for a while, maybe even have a limp from now on. He growled and flicked his tail, before giving one last ditch effort to attack. He sprung forward and was going to make an attempt to knock them both to the ground when their bodies collided like the wind and the rain when they made a tornado.
Post Breakdown: When Sempiternal attacked his shoulder by biting it, he returned in defense to try and bite his ears or the area called the bridle path. Also he went in to try and knock them both to the ground, but if its considered another attack it doesn't have to happen. Health: 75 % he has a massive bite on his shoulder that is bleeding. He also suffered a massive muscle cramp from being so tight muscled before the battle. Name- Sempitneral Breed- Andalusian x Mustang x Welsh Cob Age- Three Gender- Stallion Height- 16hh Alliance- Light Health- 60% - torn flesh from his shoulder down to the bone, bruised and broken ribs, and half of his right hark is missing. Sempiternal did not have a lady of his own but, he still understood the desperation to protect someone. If anything ever happened to his precious gems in Gray Pine Valley, the beast would most likely never forgive him. This battle was not creating any amount of stress for him. Sure, he wanted to keep Reth and interrogate her but there were always others he could choose from later on. However, in his opinion, he thought he might get a little more recognition from Necropolis if he somehow acquired the rulers of her kingdom’s rival. This entire ordeal was partially for his personal intentions as well as making himself look good in the views of others. Sempi had always been obsessed with appearances, physical or not. His judgments upon physical appearances altered every day, sometimes every hour. But his self-image had to be flawless even though that was not entirely possible. Regardless of how this battle played out, he was certain that Necropolis would delight him in a gift or something for stealing the queen of Dark Woods and taking on the king. If he lost, he could settle for maybe one gift. If he won, he would not mind to ask for two.
But that was another matter for another day. The painted beast he was fighting was speaking now, more than he should have been, “I don't see how it could have happened and it will never happen again, this I will promise you. So keep your comments to yourself, just get down to the point because I’ve wasted enough time trying to control every fiber of my body from killing you.” Too many words were flowing from his opponent’s maw. The sappy love song Spike was writing to his lady in his web of syllables was less than impressive. The light czar personally did not care if this hellion was going to become a thorn in his side about this. He expected it at the very least of all the things that Spike may do in response to the temporary destruction of Reth’s freedom. Half of what this brute said did not make a lot of sense but Semp assumed that it was the adrenaline fueled emotions talking right now.
After the beast uttered his long speech, the two knights had risen and met in a jarring clash of flints and muscle. Spike’s knives had cleaved flesh from his shoulder until it was down to the very marrow. A stray strike of a hoof struck Sempiternal’s ribs and bruised them but did not break them. Claret fluid stained his broad chest like an apron and pain flooded his nerve pathways almost to a blinding point. Well wasn’t this cute? As Spike had continued to strike, Sempiternal’s enamels then sunk into his opponent’s flesh with glee. Jaws parted and closed upon slabs of muscle fiber and tissue until a sliver of meat was hanging out of the corner of his maw. As his opponent began to defend himself before Sempiternal could step away, a searing pain met his nerve pathways again as his antagonist’s enamels snapped closed around the upper portion of his right hark. A pained growl left his larynx as he suddenly jolted away from Spike with such force that tore the upper half of his audit in two and knocked Spike off balance. Crimson life forces trickled down into his zenith and down the side of his crown as golden spheres zoned in on the upper half of his hark still in Spike’s mouth. Awesome, he just lost half of his ear. But he didn’t have time for the shock to set in about losing half of his ear. It wouldn’t grow back but he could make do without it.
Despite the injury, it did not keep his sarcastic reply to Spike’s speech at bay. ”It won’t happen again except for when you don’t see it coming then, right? I will also have her, your children, or anyone else I please regardless if you’re alive and well or not. It won’t be ‘if’ I get a hold of them either, it will only be a matter of ‘when’. If I am stealing from Dark Woods, there is no better trade nor will I exile you from returning to my kingdom in search of your precious loved ones.” Sempiternal paused for a moment to collect his breath as a brow arched in mild amusement upon realizing that Spike said that he was struggling to not just kill him. Hmm, should he be frightened or even at least mildly worried about his safety? Not at all. ”Awe, is your inner demon tapping on the door to your ‘dark’ soul begging to be let outside to kill – I mean piss on me? ” A mocking tone escaped his larynx and he did not even bother to hide his taunting smile. Coupled with Sempiternal’s battle ready temperament, he was always ready for arguments and trash talking. He was always ready for some type of fight and he would never turn a battle down.
When Spike recovered from his loss of balance, Sempiternal was standing only a few feet away with blood trickling into the corner of one of his pools and most of his weight off of his bad shoulder to give it a rest. The pain had yet to ebb away from his torn shoulder and it sure as hell hurt a lot more with even just a little bit of weight on it. It was going to be a long way back home. But the blood clouded his vision as the other brute charged at him. Ah, hell. The bay czar snarled and closed the clouded void before steeling up his good side and hobbled as fast as he could, however not fast enough, to turn away to fully avoid being struck. Lightning strikes of pain ricocheted from his bloody shoulder just enough to keep him from moving away too quickly. He did miss most of Spike’s charge as he stepped sideways but, he took a solid hit to his already bruised rib cage. Thin strips of marrow splintered under the beast’s immense weight as he crashed into his side and nearly knocked Sempiternal over.
The czar stumbled away in an internal state of panic he refused to show externally. Spike had forced the wind out of his lungs and he struggled to gain it all back. Paper thins flared almost to the point of tearing as he tried to gulp in large amounts of air until his diaphragm began to function again but that didn’t stop the agonizing pain that was a result of every breath he took now. He rocked back and forth upon three solid limbs and the weaker one before swinging his hind end toward Spike, striking out at the larger stud with both of his hind knives in one sudden kick. The intense pain in his butchered right shoulder and his splintered ribs only continued to heighten with every move he made but that did not stop him from turning away from Spike to protect his vulnerable top line. His right foreleg began to drag slightly as the pain became too much for him to care if he picked it up completely or not. Golden spheres surveyed the current damage between the two of them. Both parties had put up a decent display of aggression and assaults. The light beast struggled to breathe as his body demanded more oxygen than his shattered right side of his rib cage would truly allow. Fuck.
word count | 1,339 muse | eh music | the commanded - memphis may fire notes | first; he did not dodge spike's attack. he let his right shoulder and ribs take the brunt of it before trying to bite spike as he jumped forward on his front end so he could buck and kick using both back feet. second; spike bit his ear in half and when spike charged at him, he tried to step to the side but spike collided with his ribs and broke some of them. sempiternal kicked at spike with both back feet. both attacks have now been used & his only dodge has been used.

Spike's Overall Health: 75 % he has a massive bite on his shoulder that is bleeding. He also suffered a massive muscle cramp from being so tight muscled before the battle. Sempiternal's hooves also made contact with his shoulder, he will be lame for a while and have a limp in that shoulder. He was also hit in the ribs by Sempiternals hooves.
This can now be judged!
