The painted brujo's muscular frame was taut, rigid with a rage that seemed to radiate from his dark eyes like an inferno that could only be quenched by one thing and one thing alone... blood. Not just any blood, though. As much as he'd had his dark moments in the past year that made him shudder to remember, Ahiga was not some bloodthirsty beast that killed wantonly for the mere pleasure of destruction. No, his hatred and the desire to shed blood was focused upon one individual and one individual alone. Zane. Even uttering the name in his mind he spat it like a curse - a foul, vile thing. That pitiful brute had dared take advantage of the ink and ivory stallion's troubles of the recent past, and stolen Miyax. The Gypsy Vanner crossbred ground his ivories in impotent fury at the mere thought of the pathetic creature daring to lay hoof upon her. His mate, the mare he loved even if he had forgotten for a short, horrible time, a lady who had already been through more than anyone deserved.. His Miyax, and this whelp, this... Zane... had made the fatal mistake of stealing her. If the two-toned brujo had any say in the matter, the wretched thief would not walk away from this fight.
The sun was high in the sky, the heat of it surprisingly strong for the time of year. Perhaps not so surprising after all, however, given how cracked and dry this place appeared to be, the land charred as though tainted by all those who had battle here before. The desert-like sand reflected the brilliance of the sun, creating an almost blinding affect that would be a handicap for both stallions in the battle to come. Ahiga supposed that he could have waited a little later, when conditions might have been more favorable. However, patiently sitting around in his enclosure, waiting for the moment to come, hoping that Aerlinn would not have changed her mind in the meantime had not been something he wanted to waste time on. The sooner he got to this, the sooner he could crush the pathetic thief's skull in the dirt, and the sooner he could make sure that Miyax was safely home and unhurt. As it was, it had taken every bit of pleading and reasoning he had to convince Aerlinn to let him out. He knew why she was reluctant, worried that he might slip right back into the abyss that had trapped him for too long. However, he knew that wasn't going to happen. Not now, when Miyax needed him most.
Surprisingly limber despite more than a month of captivity while he slowly recovered from all that his own sire had done to him, Ahiga loped along the shifting, sandy terrain. He paid no heed to the occasions when an errant wind pelted his frame with miniscule daggers of sand or to the hot sun beating down upon his duo-toned frame. Nothing mattered. Nothing except reaching the appointed location to meet his hated opponent on the field of battle, to wage this war that could only have one result. Miyax's freedom. If the brat he was coming here to fight just so happened to die in process of this battle, Ahiga certainly would not mourn. In fact, he rather hoped to have the opportunity to smash a hoof through the interloping brute's skull. There were no guarantees when it came to battle, yet the crossbred stallion was very much hoping that in this battle the victory would be his and crushing defeat for his scorned nemesis.

It was a perfect day. Prefect day for battling, even though the two year old stallion had no experience with an actual fight. His blood was boiling ready, as the day came even closer. The ebony mare that he stolen was the prize for him and the useless mate. If he really cared about her, then he would have put the effort and actually block her from him. She was his plan to get mares pregnant with his foal and then he would simple throw her out like trash when it was complete. The stallion was happy that the mare Johanna was pregnant with his kid, Zane hoped for a very strong colt and wasn’t black like its mom. If it was a filly and black as coal, then he simple didn’t want it. Seriously Myiax was giving him a challenge have been a tough cookie, which he loved and hated the same time. Still walking towards the battlefield was a strange place for the two year old. The ground was dry, cracked and scatted bones, stones and dried up water source was all around. There was even blood, body parts from other horses around the place. He snorted aggressively as he wouldn’t be put off, and he kept on going and he eyed his opponent.
Standing his side he snorted aggressive. Meeting Ahiga for the first time was amazing really. The two toned stallion, wasn’t much of the threat, being the fact he was smaller. The colt was thinking about his attacks seriously since this was his first ever battle, and he had no idea how many his opponent had. He snorted aggressively and kicked some dust of lose pebbles behind him; auds were pinned against his cranium. “So dear Ahiga, we finally meet face to face. Your mate is a slut and really enjoys my advances, she wanted lot more and I expect she would be pregnant with my foal VERY soon…” He lied of course, basically pissing with his head more. “Get ready for the battle of your life bastard; you would be sorry coming here and challenging me. You stand no chance again me!” He yelled and went really cocky towards him. His muscles were tense up and ready for the fight more. He the reared up and neighed loudly, as he was ready for this. The amber champagne colt galloped towards the stallion’s path, form of dust was spreading behind him, like a huge dust storm cloud.
Aiming towards his right shoulder at first, he quickly change direction when he was close enough, and when towards his left side, as the dust form blindly around him. Zane hoped the dust would do the trick and impair the stallion’s vision enough for him lunge his attack. Once he was close enough to his left shoulder, he reared up and aimed his powerful towards the two toned stallion’s body, hoping to get contact around the shoulder area, soon the attack was executed enough, he aimed his back legs out, not knowing he would hit anything or not. Bodies were clashing around others, as both stallions were after the same prize, but for two different reasons. The champagne colt blood was rushing fast as the adrenaline was running more like crazy, and he simple got out of the way and stood in his spot, waiting to see his attack was powerful enough, and also waited for the painted tone stallions own attack, as no breath was released from his nares as he was fit as fiddle, young and strong. The stallion knew this outcome would come to him, and nothing would change his mind that quickly.

Ahiga had never even seen his opponent before in his life. In fact, up until just this morning, he had still been in confinement. Some part of him wanted to blame Aerlinn for not blocking Miyax from the greedy idiot who had taken her away, but only the irrational part of him that lingered from his days as a mindless puppet created and controlled by his own father. Even after aforementioned stallion had died. Rationally, the ink and ivory brujo knew that it was not the fault of the Lead mare that she had failed to block his mate; after all, she had quite a lot on her plate to deal with, given everything going on. At least she had released him this morning, so he could make the long trek to the battlefield to bring his Miyax home. He did not care what his nemesis looked like, what size or breed, what age or experience - though from what little intelligence Dorak had managed to gather in the two weeks since the theft, it seemed the enemy was quite young. All that mattered was that this brat had taken from home a wonderful mate and mother who absolutely did not deserve to suffer not only what she must be suffering now, but everything that she had suffered as a result of his accident, not to mention everything she had suffered in the past.
Now he stood tall as he awaited the wretched thief, inky whipcord lashing his flanks like the tail of an angry cat, harks pinned and every line of his well-muscled form tensed in hostility. And then... there. A glimpse of movement that resolved into an equine body. Gaze frigid with hatred, yet at the same time burning with rage, the Gypsy Vanner crossbred watched as the brat drew ever closer. Having arrived first on the scene of the battle they would wage against one another, Ahiga was granted plenty of time to observe his opponent at something of a relatively leisurely pace. The brute was an amber champagne hue, solid compared to his own ebony tobiano pelt. And that sleek frame looked to be unmarred by scars. An indication that either the whelp either lacked any experience in the field of battle or had chosen his opponents wisely... for a coward who did not want to get bloodied or bruised. The other stallion was tall, a fair bit taller than Ahiga's own fifteen hands of height. Being taller might seem like an advantage, but that was not necessarily true. Especially if there was not the experience to know how to use height to best advantage.
Lifting his crown high, not deigning to incline his crown in any sort of greeting, the painted brujo instead eyed the younger brute coldly. He might well have launched into immediate attack, not bothering with speech of any kind - whether it be pleasantries or insults. However, it seemed the brat wanted to start off with speech. Ahiga ground his ivories at the words to assault his flattened harks with claims of Miyax's supposed enjoyment of this brute's advances and of a foal soon to be conceived. Though he pinned his foe with a glare of unspoken hatred and fury beyond description, he did not believe such claims for an instant. No one who had ever known Miyax as well as he did could ever believe such ludicrous claims. He knew that his beloved mate would never enjoy the attentions of this creature who had stolen her from home and family. After all, it had taken her long enough overcoming the past enough to give herself fully to him let alone some upstart who had kidnapped her.
Still... there was the thought in the back of his mind of the more likely scenario - that this beast was forcing the inky lady Ahiga loved.
And the mere idea enraged him.
As much as he wanted to rant and rave, to fly at this nemesis in a blind rage with the intent to kill, Ahiga knew it would be pure folly. That kind of blind reaction had nearly robbed him of everything once before... The sudden thought and memory accompanying it had the two-toned brujo blinking, trying to keep his attention on his opponent while also hoping for further clarity of a formerly lost memory rising to the surface. There was no time for dwelling on memories, no matter how unexpected the surfacing of such a memory might be. Not at the declaration his enemy was making. An attack was imminent, the colt's movements telegraphing his intentions clearly for a stallion who had been trained in battle, who had fought and earned the right to a herd of his own a fair few years ago. Stepping back just the slightest bit as Zane reared, bugling loudly, Ahiga readied himself as the amber champagne dove into a charge.
With a lower centre of gravity, Ahiga intended to use his own size to advantage against his taller opponent. Through slightly narrowed spheres he held himself ready as Zane charged nearer. A feint towards his right shoulder? It was not quite obvious, especially with the dust cloud helping to cloak the champagne brute's movements. Still, keeping a careful watch out, he was not completely surprised when the younger brujo abruptly switched aim for the left of his painted frame. The dust thickened at the change of direction and Ahiga was forced to narrow his eyes further against the stinging particles that threatened to blind him. A blur of movement indicated his opponent rising on hind limbs and the painted brujo followed suit, lifting his bulk into the air. Adrenaline sang in his veins and he hardly felt when a hoof made impact, a thin sliver of crimson trickling down his shoulder where a deep gash had formed, the flesh centrally already purpling with the bruise created. Though Ahiga's own powerful forelimbs lashed out, Zane was already dropping to the earth and spinning to send hind legs flying backward in a powerful kick. He managed to pull himself back to evade the worst damage; however, he sustained a glancing blow that skimmed his ribs.
Touching down himself, Ahiga did not wait to take a breather or give his hated foe even an instant to plot out another attack. Instead, he rushed the taller brute. Two hands shorter than his opponent, the Vanner mutt knew he had to take his enemy down through means more readily available to his thicker build and shorter stature. Which meant aiming to slam his uninjured shoulder into Zane's chest, still propelling forward with all the momentum his powerful limbs could offer, while his jaws snaked down savagely to snap at the taller brutes forelegs and hind legs in an effort to hopefully knock the champagne brat down.
Attack Tally : one | two Dodges Tally : ZERO Attack Used : ONE: Charged Zane, seeking to slam into his chest/shoulder area, while snapping at his legs to try and knock him off his feet Damage Cover : Solid blow by hoof to his shoulder, leaving a large bruise and fair-sized gash; light bruising along his ribs.

The fight was getting more intense due to the fact it was starting. The inexperience was showing for the colt. He might be taller, but he hasn’t really planned on using this to more of his advantage. He was really glad that his attack hit the mark; it wasn’t much though and wanted lot more than this. Flicking is tassel more as he was waiting for the brute’s attack back. Thoughts and adrenaline was rushing through his dial, as he was imagining the attack. A experience fighter wouldn’t take his mind from its oppeant, though Zane did, as he believed he wouldn’t be able to beat him anyway. The ground was shaking as the other stallion galloped towards him, and by the time he focus back on the fight it was too late. The painted brute’s shoulder connected straight into his own shoulder, the pain was brutal. Bones clenching against another skeletal frame was awful. That wasn’t all, the stallion was also attacking his limbs, he felt his ivories clenching onto his right fetlock joint and he quickly lifted it up, and his left limb gave away, and his entirely bodice crashed onto the ground. Loose stones scratched his right eye, cutting it along the cornea which was stinging him like mad.
Zane quickly got back to his feet, not letting the stallion to finish him off in the fight. The colt knew that was a death sentence once you went down, you never got back up. The blood was running down his limb and his eye, which was irritating him deeply more. He snorted more “You got lucky sonny boy… You wouldn’t get any more of those he yelled. The sight in his right was too painfully, so he closed his lids, as the swelling was beginning to form, if he was a human it would be turned into a black eye. His injured shoulder and leg was killing him to, an experience fighting wouldn’t be dumb enough to allow these injuries to be this serve. Zane was planning his next attack well, since the ground was bit slippery with the loose stones everywhere. He was certainly going to be a lame for while that’s sure, the stallion wouldn’t rest like normal horses; he would push himself on until he was crippled really. Tossing his Arabian like dial he thought of attack and he pushing himself until a lame like trot, he went back to the two tone stallion’s bodice again.
Once he was right in attack range, he reared onto his powerful hind legs and bared his ivories, arming for his auds, he wanted to disfigured this stallion, wanted something to remind him of this battle and how badly he wished he didn’t messed with him. He didn’t care if this target was missed, he would do if he lost his eye to, just like his grandfather Wales. He saw how depressed he went after his eye went missing, oh that would be a bonus for him. Once he lowered himself down, he slowly turned around, and finished his attack with a kick with his hind legs, hoping to catch his jawline mostly, but anything around his bodice would do, as longs it cost him the bruising just like him. Retreating back to his corner, he lifted his left leg up a moment, as it was getting more stiff and painful to stand, let alone walk on it now. He just stood and waited to see what the big shot hard for him next.

Nares flared wide, drinking in oxygen to keep his heart pumping as Ahiga threw himself into this battle. Everything depended on the outcome of the fight and the black tobiano brujo was absolutely determined to win. For Miyax, who had already suffered far, far more than she deserved, he would give everything he had to win this battle. No matter what it took, he would succeed. He could feel an ache in his shoulder where muscle and bone had impacted with his opponent, and knew another bruise was likely going to form there. None so severe as the one on the opposite shoulder, but he was not likely to be comfortable in the days to come. Comfort was something he was willing to sacrifice. For Miyax, he would willingly sacrifice everything. He felt his ivories sink into flesh at the other brute's right fetlock and felt a momentary sense of victory when Zane toppled over with a crash to the sandy earth. Given that he had been leaning into the brat beforehand, the ink and ivory stallion almost lost his balance. Only a quick shuffle of hooves saved him from faceplanting right next to his enemy, shoving backwards to give himself the space to regain his footing.
Despite it being only split seconds, unfortunately even in so short a time, Zane had also managed to scramble back onto his hooves. As inexperienced as the colt appeared to be, even he seemed to understand that it was death to remain prone in such a vulnerable position. Pity... it would have been nice to end this conflict in short order with the death of his nemesis. There was some satisfaction in seeing the injuries afflicted upon his enemy, but that was not nearly as satisfying as this brute's death would be. Ahiga raised an invisible 'brow in elegant mockery at the brat's declaration. Lucky? Luck had nothing to do with it. True, battle could have an element of luck, but only so much and it was certainly nothing to depend upon. Not unless you wanted to die on the battlefield. That was assuredly not the inky tobiano's intent. That was precisely why, even while his thoughts raced, he never once ceased moving. A motionless warrior on the battlefield was a dead warrior. Besides, it kept his injured joints from becoming overly stiff, keeping the ligaments limber, ready for a charge or an evasion at any given moment.
Zane seemed to have gathered himself and though the younger brute moved at a trot, there was an obvious limp that hinted at lameness. Pacing, only allowing himself the very slightest of limps for the aching shoulder that had borne the worst injury he had sustained thus far, he eyed his approaching nemesis coldly. Harks pinned flat against his skull, lost in the tossing ivory and onyx sea of his mane, he glared as the champagne brat came within striking distance. Muscles bunching, he reared to meet the attack, only seconds slower than the younger beast. Ivories snatched at his face, pinching violently against the flesh just millimeters above his left eye socket. So close... too close to the visual organ. Skin tore free, blood pouring rapidly from the wound created just above his eye. For an instant, as the crimson fluid completely impaired his vision, Ahiga feared he had lost the eye itself, but a rapid blink or two reassured that though terrible damage had been done, it was not the eye itself, albeit far too close for comfort. With the stabbing pain of the facial injury, he barely felt the bruises from Zane's forelimbs.
With only one eye functioning perfectly, blood veiling the sight of his left eye, he did not see the kick of hind limbs coming until it was almost too late. Only at the last instant to he glimpse those hard daggers aimed straight for his jaw as he was dropping his forelimbs onto the ground. He jerked his crown in an effort to evade the attack, but it was not enough. True, instead of a direct hit that would surely have broken his jaw beyond repair, it was more of a glancing blow. However, that glancing blow broke skin and sent sharp, stabbing pains screeching along his nerve endings. It hurt. That was not going to keep him from doing whatever it took to win. And that meant not allowing Zane the time to retreat. Appearing not to even feel his injuries, looking a nightmarish sight with the crimson flow completely masking his left eye, he charged after his nemesis. First a feint, as though he were going to use the same driving shoulder attack as before. Only a scant handful of feet away from his opponent, he reared, snapping with bared ivories at whatever flesh he could reach, trying to rend and tear for maximal damage. Landing, he whipped around and lashed out with hind hooves, powerful hindquarters propelling solid daggers at the champagne-hued brat once, twice, and then a third time in rapid succession. With any luck, he had landed a few blows that would have this colt rethinking his life and never bothering Miyax ever again.

Damage Cover : Solid blow by hoof to his shoulder, leaving a large bruise and fair-sized gash; light bruising along his ribs; deep bite wound just barely above his left eye, bleeding profusely; significant bruising to jaw, very nearly a fracture, but not quite, shallow gashing; minimal bruising to nape and chest

Indi with Ahiga Quality over Quantity: 14
- Posts had good quality to them, reflecting on previous events to fuel his anger. The quantity went along with the amount of quality in each post, making it an enjoyable read.
- I found the posts to be a good length and overall a good quality
- Good post length. Focus was kept on the battle, found the beginning of every post be repeating what had been stated out clearly in previous posts.
No God Modeling or Power Playing: 15
- I noted no God modeling or power playing.
- I did not see any god modeling or power playing in the posts.
- Nothing that got my attention.
Realism of Attacks: 14
- Attacks were realistic, though I couldn't necessarily see him snapping at his fore limbs and hind limbs to cause Zane to topple over aside from slamming into him. That's just me being picky xD.
- I found these to be very realistic attacks.
- Very small part of the post was focused on the attacks itself. Both from opponent and your character attacks. Felt like rushed at the end of each post.
Attacks compared to Opponent: 15
- More inspiration going on and different kind of attacks.
- I found these attacks to be slightly more descriptive and overall a little stronger.
- Attacks were very realistic and thought with precision as he used his size to his own advantage despite the fact that he was smaller.
Completion of the Form: 15
- The form was completed correctly and was easy to understand.
- All good.
- I saw no problems with this form.
Spelling and Grammar: 14.5
- I noted no grammar errors or spelling errors.
- I docked spelling points on minor errors such as "battle here" in the first post should have been "battled here". Just small errors like that.
- Nothing that I noticed.
Total: 87.5 Misty with Zane Quality over Quantity: 13.5
- I gave her a 5 because the quality matched the quantity of her posts well.
- Good post lenght. Focus was kept on the battle itself and not outside things.
- I would've liked to see a little more description in your posts.
No God Modeling or Power Playing: 15
- I didn't see any god modeling or power playing in the posts.
- Didn‘t notice anything that really god my attention.
- I noted no God modeling or power playing.
Realism of Attack: 13
- I've noticed a good improvement over the battles you have done in the past, you should be very proud! I found these to be realistic attacks.
- Fine attacks but a bit weak move to have him rear up twice in a battle with only two attacks. Shows lack of inspiration.
- The attacks felt like they were rushed which is why I docked the amount of points that I did, though they were still somewhat realistic
Attack Compared to Opponent: 13
- It was lacking it‘s power and it was a bit boring compared to opponent.
- Used his age and body size well with each attack.
- Although these were good attacks, I found the opponent's were slightly more descriptive and stronger
Completion of the Form: 14.5
- The form was completed correctly though I would have liked to see a final post in character.
- All good
- I removed .5 due to failure to indicate the physical % and the mental %... I did not know which the 30% indicated
Spelling and Grammar: 9
- I would really recommend doing spellcheck and reading over the post before posting it because there were several spelling errors throughout the posts. I'm a stickler for good grammar /:
- Past and present does not always match in sentences. The text does not always have a good flow in it, connection between two things in the same sentence is missing and it feels like part of the sentence gets cut off and it takes the focus away from the post. Spelling and grammar mistakes were noticeable.
- I noted numerous grammatical errors and sine spelling errors. Try copying each post into a word document, or have a peer look it over.
Total: 78 Congratulations to Indi with Ahiga!
