It is sunny out with a few scattered clouds. It is bitterly cold out to the point that it almost hurts to breathe. The normally sandy arena is covered in a foot of snow and beneath that is a layer of ice. Gladiators must be careful not to slip. There is one pair in the arena at a time, so you will not see others fighting. Not following the setting will result in loss of points. The rules are simply. 800 words per posts, 2 posts per person. The battle starts immediately, you do not have to wait for your opponent to get there like in a normal battle. You can go for them right away. You are out of the tournament should you lose 2 battles. Good luck.
@horsehuggr will post first and then @birna

Bits of sunlight broke through the clouds above, providing only the slightest bit of warmth on the terrain below. Her ebony dipped pistons stretched before her as she strode forward; her crown held high and defiant. Blinding hot rage was still boiling in her veins due to the bitch Narcissa. The cunt had stolen her mate and Skindred wasn't prepared to just stand around and let it happen. She had so much pent up fury and she had to let it out somehow. Her auditories were pinned flat to her skull out of hatred. She wasn't sure how Baron would feel about her decision to enter the gladiator tournament; but she had nothing better to do. If she didn't let her anger out somehow she was going to end up seriously hurting one of her family members. Nasal passages inhaled the crisp morning air and it stung her lungs. She exhaled large plumes of carbon dioxide around her as she made her way to the arena. Seventeen two hand frame made her appear like an amazon; and she was. A sharp breeze ruffled her tresses around her facade and her lavender occuli took in her surroundings. A foot of snow lay on the terrain and she could feel the slippery surface of ice beneath it. It wasn't something that she would ignore, instead she would pay close attention to this. Alarming lavender occuli swept the terrain until they landed on her opponent. Paper thins addressed the stranger's scent; it allowed her to know that they were indeed a stallion and a quite a bit younger than herself. She did not grow cocky to this fact; nor did she grow weary. Skindred squared up, all muscles were taunt and prepared. She wasn't going to let this baby have his way with her. Unfortunately he would suffer the blunt of her fury; and for a fleet second she almost felt bad for him.
Just as soon as she thought it she pushed it away, not willing to dwell on it. She let out an exhale of the stinging air before moving forward. She extended her long stilts but carefully placed them on the slick topography. Skindred moved at a beautiful canter, her pace was as even as it could be atop the snow. Her emeralds narrowed as she charged at the young hellhound, and she picked up a bit of speed once she got closer. Her nape stretched out and her auditories remained flat against her poll as her ivories bared. She planned on slamming into the brute's chest with most of her momentum; though she had a trick up her sleeve. In hopes of using her height she snapped at his poll and harks. They weren't play bites, no this behemoth would suffer the consequences. It was almost a shame that he was receiving the short end of the stick; but karma could be a bitch. She did not utter a sound except for a rough snort as she righted herself. The collision would rattle him for sure if she hit her mark; but what she wanted was to rip some skin off his face. The biting wind and cool winter air would aid her in paining the brute, and she looked forward to it. She moved herself away from the stud as soon as her attack was complete and her front hooves touched back down to the ground. She didn't want to dwell by him longer than she had to.

This was it. The multicolored stallion stood in the middle of the fighting ring. The tournament was about to start and he could feel how every bone in his body was ready to fight. Itching to get out there and show the world what he was capable of. The world was quiet for a moment, when he looked at the mare in front of him. They were almost the same height and in a moving battle it would be hard to notice a difference, even though he was there. Not that it mattered at all. Wolf did not know much about his opponent. He had heard of the mare but that was about it. It would be an interesting fight, he was sure of that. Slowly he stepped to the side, he didn’t want to slip on the icy that lay below the snow. He wanted to get the feel of the ground before he would start moving more dangerous around the arena. With all kind of stunts that horses did in a battle like this. His breath welt frozen in the ice cold air that surrounded them. It was an interesting day for a fight. The weather was still though, some clouds hovering up in the sky but it was still. Just bitter cold, it would actually be a good thing to start moving around in this battle. Start doing some damage to the lady in front of him. Wolf cleared his head, he knew he was ready for this fight. He wanted to feel alive again. Fully alive and not half sleep like he had been doing for the last couple of months. Looking around he could feel the dead silence in the ring since there was no one else around. It was just the two of them and he waited for the mare to attack first. Ladies first, always, and since he was a true gentleman this was also the case in this battle. He was ready for her and he was also ready to return her attacks with his own. He hadn’t planned his attacks he knew they would just come, he had some ideas and he would work with what she would try on him.
Crashing thunder of hooves running towards him killed the silent that had hung in the air just moments ago. Everything happened fast and before he knew it the slamming body weight of the mare came crashing into his chest, following with a rear near his head. For a second he almost lost his balance from this quick attack from the mare. In the last second he managed to keep his balance and not fall over. Falling to the ground meant instant loss to a battle. On the ground you were just a dead meat and could give up right that second or so had he heard from others that had fought in big battles. Wolf had a disorder that made him unable to feel any physical pain. There was no way for him to figure out if the mare had cracked or fractured any of his bones in the chest. She had managed to get some part of his face, he couldn’t spot what part since it was bleeding above his eye and there was no way for him to see that part of his face. But it didn’t hurt, it never hurt so on full speed he kept on going. No hesitation and never feeling pain. While the mare touched the ground again Wolf aimed for her lower forelegs with his open mouth. Aiming to get some good bite marks on the mare’s leg. Without legs equines were quite useless in a battle since the legs played a very important role when it came to surviving. Right behind his first attack he followed with another attack. Quickly he spun around, almost on the spot or that’s how he felt about the turn and with his strong and muscular hind legs he kicked them right into the air. His goal was of course not to hit the air but he was aiming for the mare’s neck or the arena close to the neck. When he landed with his hind legs back on the ground he quickly turned around again so he would be facing the mare. He would not give her the advantage that easily to attack him from behind. His towers picked forward and he watched his ice cold breath turn into what looked like a white cloud that was coming from his mouth. Blood was tripping from his face and landing on the snowy ground below. This was the moment he had been waiting for, now he felt completely alive.

The frigid air burned her lungs as she moved, determined to keep her footing beneath her. As she felt herself colliding with the brute she gritted her teeth. The air was filled with the sound of smacking bodies and instantly satisfaction rushed through her veins when she tasted his blood. Skindred kept her nape tucked to protect her jugular when she landed, but she hadn't expected the brute's teeth. A hiss escaped her charcoal stained kissers as she felt his ivories slice into her front pistons. The lacerations were deep and blood pooled to the surface instantaneously. She took an aggressive step forward only to be greeted with a powerful kick to her chest. For a moment she lost her breath and her vision blurred. She shook her skull and bounded forward, immediately pursuing the painted hellhound. Her ivories bared as she snapped at his underbelly, searching for skin and hoping to rip it away from his hide. As soon as he turned to face her she snapped at his facade. Her blood-stained ivories were searching for skin and she was determined to hit her mark.
Skindred wasn't done there. She spun on her haunches then and sent a massive cow kick towards his jawline. As soon as her hooves touched back down she bolted forward. As she was moving away from the stallion she could feel the blunt of her injuries. Her chest would be severely bruised and her skin was already purpling there, as well as bleeding. As soon as there was a bit of space between them she turned to face him. Her hock kisser flicked to and fro, almost in a feline manner. Her auditories remained pinned to her skull and her injuries stung mercilessly. But Skindred wasn't a quitter though and she sure as hell wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing her in pain. Briefly her mind wandered to Baron and what he would think of her for doing this. But at the same time if she won this could help Terrivel Beleza greatly. So she had decided, she wasn't just here for herself; she was here for Baron and her home lands. She had a job to do and she would do it. No matter how many bodies she had to take down through the process. And this colt in front of her was the very beginning. He fought like a man and she respected that, but she wouldn't voice that opinion. Instead she would cut into this nameless stranger; as many times as possible. She stood with her lavender occuli narrowed as she waited for him to make a move. She was almost eager to see what the stallion had left.

Name- Wolf Breed- Thoroughbred x Shire x Belgian x Vladmir Draft x Lusitano x Appaloosa x Tennesse Walking Horse Age- 4 Gender- stallion Height- 17.1 hh Alliance- dark Health- Physically - 80% (hurt from the injuries he got from the mare) | Mentally - 0% he has Dissociative Personality Disorder and congenital analgesia disorder that is known about him (split personality disorder and unable to feel any physical pain)
Careful. The ground under his hooves was slippery from the icy that laid below the snow. He almost slipped when he landed after his later attack. He could feel how his hind legs slid on the ice. Maybe he had just gotten lucky when he didn’t fall down and managed to keep his balance and cool. It would have been very awkward if he had managed to stand like a rock when the mare attacked him but fall down after his own attack. Wolf tossed his head in the air and swung it around like a true warrior. He knew there would not be much waiting period from her attack. This battle was a fast one and no time wasted in some chit chat. So far he hadn’t gotten the chance to see if he had actually managed to damage the mare at all. The speed was already too much for that. The young stallion could feel how the adrenaline rushed through every place in his body, this truly was his first real battle. His violet orbs looked at the mare ones again. She was beautiful and yet so powerful. She was good at fighting though Wolf had of course no idea if this was her first battle or not. He had never met her before, talked to her so he had no idea what her name was. But right now names weren’t important. Maybe he would get a chance later to look at the sign up and see who she was so he could look her up. Thank her for such an interesting fight and talk about the gladiator tournament over all. His orbs eyed down at the ground under him, where he noticed a pool of blood that was getting a bit big and even growing since blood was still dripping from his belly. Sometimes he wished he could feel pain, just something because he would love to know how it felt having blood drop down from your body frame. After he had turned around from his second attack he had not felt when the mare took a chunk off his face nor could he see what damage she had done but he had felt the pressure her attack had made on his own skin.
Bay mare underlined her attack towards his face with a good and harsh kick in his jaw. Shaking his head angry he tried to move his jaw around to figure out if it was broken or not. He could move it but there was a possibility that it was at least fractured. Too bad that there was no pain rushing from that part of his body to tell him how badly he got injured. Having his disorder could be very dangerous since he did not know his limits, so it wasn’t hard for him to push is body over the limits. Wolf wasn’t going to waste any time and as soon as her kick had hit him and she had quickly moved away and turned around to face him ones again he stroked out. His heavy hooves crashed into the ground while he ran towards her. In the silent tournament ring it felt loud towards Wolf ears. Running towards her right side of her body frame he quickly decided to turn to the left. In quick moves he reared up when he had managed to get to the side of her. So Wolf would not just kick the air on her side as well he turned his body frame towards the mare and aimed to come crashing down at her back with his strong body. He found it unlikely that her back would break but as long as he left some bruises behind he would be happy. He landed carefully and made sure to keep his balance on the ice. The ground was not the best setting for a fight but it was interesting and put the edge on this battle. Because one little mistake could mean that you could break your leg. So far both of them had seemed to be able to keep their steady balance and not slip and fall. Since he was already at the left side of the mare he turned his head back towards her body frame. His mouth was open and his teeth were ready to snap at her neck. He could feel how his jaw didn’t have his usual power but his bite still had been quite harsh. He had hoped to tear up some skin and make her bleed but he could not tell right that moment if his bite had been successful or not. Standing there he backed away slowly and took a deep breath. The fight was over and both of them could catch their breath.
