The sky is dark gray and angry. There is almost no sunlight. The snow has turned to slippery, watery slush and the ice is cracking. It is warmer out and a light drizzle has started. It is still windy and thunder can be heard in the distance. Each player still does two posts each and they must be 1000 words or less. Remember to include previous injuries or points will be deducted.
@deadlysecrets will post first with Enmity followed by @horsehuggr with Skindred.

Name- Enmity Breed- Appaloosa x Quarter Horse Age- 9 years Gender- Mare Height- 15.2hh Alliance- Dark/Helkaer Health- 85%(physical)-virtually blind in right eye, injuries from previous battle located in notes, 100%(mental)
The blue roan varnish Appaloosa mare had not fought in the last round of battle but it hadn’t been her idea. Enmity’s opponent had withdrawn from the tournament, much to her irritation. The lack of battle meant idle time for the sour mare making her even more irritable than usual; not that it took much for that to happen. She did have to admit that there was one good thing that came from not fighting in round two. It meant that her injuries had more time to rest and heal during this down time, she still would have preferred to fight though. Her nostrils still hurt from being clocked by flailing hooves. They hurt the most when she needed to take deep breaths and of course the cold brought a sharp sense of pain with it too. Also from those hooves came a swollen and bruised face that also still hurt but it was a dull pain now, barely noticeable unless, of course, she got hit again. Then there was the bite wound on her left shoulder that was now a healing scab. It still bugged her that her first opponent had drawn blood from her twice and it was safe to say that she was a big grudge holder.
So far there was no news about her next opponent backing out so she made her way to The Coliseum for the third round of fights. This time her adversary was a mare named Skindred. All she knew about this Skindred character was that she led alongside a brute named Baron. The sky was dark and angry looking, but the lack of sunlight would actually play to the advantage of this particular mare. Her eyesight was already compromised since her right eye was clouded and almost completely sightless. The bright light made her squint causing her to lose even more of that sight, but the darkness or near darkness was her element. She didn’t need to squint and she was already used to not being able to see which gave her an advantage over those who relied upon their vision. A light drizzle began to start as she made her way into the arena and she heard the rumbling of thunder in the distance, around her the wind played with the droplets of water falling from the sky. A storm was brewing. With the melting snow, cracking ice, and slush coating the ground this was going to be a very wet battle but she didn’t care. Her head was held high as she entered the arena at a slow walk. Even though she had time to heal that didn’t mean she was at one-hundred percent yet and she didn’t want to aggravate her injuries before it was necessary.
Once reaching her spot she turned to face the bitch she would be fighting in a few short moments. Enmity kicked out with her front leg, splattering slushy snow in all directions and cracking the ice underneath even further. The ground was still a little slippery from all of the moisture, but nowhere near as bad as it had been during round one. In theory her traction should be a bit better. Her sparse and medium length tail made a cracking noise in the air as she flicked it in an agitated fashion. Two eyes narrowed upon the mare, one sighted and one pretty much useless. The pink skin of the large scar on the right side of her face showed the slight bruising and swelling she currently bore. Her ears pinned to her skull in the shadow created by her upright mane. Enmity was no pretty thing. Thunder rumbled in the background once more and she used that as her signal to begin the fight. Neither words nor sounds were emitted from her vocals as she surged forward. Her hooves kicked up snow, slush, and ice fragments as she moved almost effortlessly towards the mare.
At fifteen-point-two hands high she wasn’t a very tall horse but she was stocky thanks to her Appaloosa and Quarter Horse lineage. Her stocky stature was something she liked to use to her advantage. Enmity deliberately rammed her chest towards the mare, her hooves digging into the ground for stability as she did so, and bared her teeth while she aimed to pull at the mare’s mane as hard as she could. The varnished mare intended on using her build and weight to throw the other mare off balance while she attempted to latch onto Skindred’s mane in hopes to further throw the wench off her footing while she simultaneously tried to rip some of her pretty flesh in the process. Her first attack neared its completion and as she turned to lope away she kicked out with her hind legs in hopes of making contact with the left side of other mare’s barrel with as much force as she could muster. When her striped hooves connected with the earth she slid slightly on the slippery wet ground. With a quick scramble she righted herself and turned as nimbly as any other cow-horse would do with strength and purpose.
Now facing her opponent she stood waiting for the mare to return fire upon her. Her nostrils begun to sting a bit more as fighting caused her to take deeper breaths which aggravated her healing nose. Even though it was dark and she really didn’t need to see her opponent, Enmity stole a glance at Skindred anyway. She wanted to see if any damage had been done at all and if there was she wanted to see where it was that she should strike next. The blue roan mare was cold and calculating, each attack was deliberate- she aimed to hurt as much as she could. Enmity was not the type to play games during a fight. She wanted to get in, do damage, and get out. It was as simple as that.
Words: 986 Notes: First round injuries include: pain in her nostrils from being clocked by flailing hooves, stings slightly when she takes deep breaths. Bruising and swelling on her face from being kicked so her face hurts. Pain in her left shoulder from being bitten. Round 2 Battle Injuries: None, her opponent back out. Attacks: She attempted to ram her body right into Skindred to make her lose her footing while grabbing onto her mane/neck area to tear at flesh and to talso throw her off balance a little bit. As she loped off Enmity kicked out with her back legs hoping to make contact with Skindred's left side. Dodges: None yet

The sky had turned into an ominous dark grey over time and her lavender occuli watched as the sun all but vanished. Her neck was still throbbing from earlier, but other then that she wasn't in too bad of shape. After she had beat out Romeo by the skin of her teeth she had dragged herself home to soak in the river for about a half hour or so. The frigid water had worked numbers on her stinging flesh and she felt refreshed and ready to go. She was still sore as hell but that could easily be ignored with grim determination. Skindred was only faintly aware of her opponent Enmity. She hadn't heard much about the mare other then the fact that she had a horrid disposition, but that didn't bother her any. She wasn't here to make friends or spark up a conversation. She was here to fight for her family, and to send each of her opponents packing. Thunder could be heard booming in the distance every once in awhile; it was music to the amazon's ears. Her long ebony tail brushed against her flanks and she flinched for a moment when small droplets of water began to pelt her from all angles. This was going to change things dramatically on the playing field but she was eager and waiting. Pistons dipped in ink led her towards the arena, her crown held high despite her gaping neck wound. Crimson continued to pour from it but was continuously washed clean by the rain water. Her gaze landed on the darker mare, her eyes searching for any weaknesses. Immediately she noticed the pink, scarred flesh on her face and she wondered if that was a problem for the mare. But she knew from being mates with a one-eyed horse that they normally had heightened senses on their weakened side. Her ears flattened tightly against her poll when the mare came barreling toward her and she winced when Enmity latched onto a good chunk of her long ebony mane. The wench began pulling as if to try to set her off balance. If this wench wanted to play tug of war she would throw her around like a rag doll. She allowed her to pull her forward a few feet but after no more then five minutes she had enough of it. Skindred wrenched her neck backward, leaving a few bloody strands of hair with Enmity. As the wench retreated she sent a kick toward her ribs which she had no choice but to take.
Her skin screamed where it was already bruised and suddenly it split, allowing small beads of blood to pour from the wound. Skindred let out a breath of air that she had held in when she braced for the impact of the mare's kick. Her ears laced even tighter to her head as she slowly took a few steps forward. The slush covered ground was slick but was easier to maneuver through. It pained her with each step but she fought through it, intent on making this wench feel pain. Her hooves kicked up clods of slush and ice as she closed the distance between herself and the other mare. Diligently she lashed out with her front hooves, aiming for Enmity's nose in hopes of fracturing it. When she landed she slid a bit on the slush but continued with the momentum, intent on colliding with the vixen. Either way the collision would still be painful for her, but she had already set her sights on her next target. Blood stained enamels were bared and aiming for the wench's delicate ears as she planned to capture one within her teeth and wrench it; hopefully shredding it. When she pulled away she snapped again, this time for the mare's cheekbone. Why not add another pretty scar to her face? Skindred was determined to splatter blood across Enmity's hide one way or another. The rain began to fall a bit harder and she slipped once more when she moved away from her. She caught herself but split her laceration on her ribs in the process. She snarled out of annoyance and flicked her tail from side to side before she faced the wench again. Her neck was oozing where another large chunk had been pried from her body and the wind made it burn, but she was still breathing. If Enmity thought she was getting into round four with a free pass she was wrong.

Name- Enmity Breed- Appaloosa x Quarter Horse Age- 9 years Gender- Mare Height- 15.2hh Alliance- Dark/Helkaer Health- 85%(physical)-virtually blind in right eye, injuries from previous battle located in notes, 100%(mental)
The sudden intake of breath from her opponent was a signal to enmity that she had done some damage to the wench. That was good because Enmity had a certain fondness for causing pain to others. It was just good to know she had done some damage to a foe which was always a good thing. The unattractive mare spat the bloodied hairs out of her mouth and didn’t even bother to look at them as they landed in the dirty slushy snow. There was no need for her to look at it since she could clearly taste what she had just done to Skindred. Her lonely brown eye spotted the bleeding split in the bay mare’s side which explained the mare’s sharp inhale from before. That would be a sore spot that Enmity would need to remember. It might come in handy at some point during this battle. Even though Skindred was a full two hands taller than Enmity the varnished mare wasn’t the least bit phased by it. She was very used to encountering horses that were taller than her.
Before she knew it, the sound of approaching hooves alerted the blue roan mare to the fact that Skindred was beginning her slew of attacks. Since Enmity’s right side was the side primarily facing the bay mare she couldn’t see where the flailing hooves would go once she was raised in the air. Yes, Enmity’s sense of hearing was very good but hooves in the air were silent until it was too late and that was exactly what happened in this scenario. She felt the rush of air as hooves swiftly came closer and closer to her face. Enmity attempted to dodge it but she hadn’t been quick enough and immediately she felt a crack in the left side of her nose and once again her nostrils began to bleed. This was the second time she was bleeding from her nose. Apparently no one wanted her to have a functioning nose. Even with the pain in her nasal cavity doubled she made no noise to go along with it. She refused to give her opponent that satisfaction. Even for a mare so used to having compromised vision and battle injuries her body had limits and pain was a bit of a restriction. Blood dripped down the front of hew maw.
There was the sound of hooves landing and landing simultaneously and Enmity knew exactly what was headed her way without even seeing it. Skindred barreled right into the venomous mare causing her to lose her balance slightly. The impact knocked the wind out of her momentarily and luckily she regained her balance and breath all in one very non smooth motion. Pain flared through her nose as she flared her nostrils to catch her breath. Her front legs hurt slightly from the awkward movement she had made in order to get herself standing once again but she once again did not have a moment to breathe before there was a pain in her right ear and pain seared though it. Enmity felt each fiber tear as her ear was ripped in half. The wind the came through added fuel to the fire of pain and she snorted in aggravation which resulted in blood clots flying through the air. As Skindred pulled away so did Enmity which was the smartest move she had done during this onslaught of attacks and instead of having a huge gaping cut on her cheek she only had a slight bleeding cut on her left cheek. Given that her face was already bruised the bite on her cheek hurt like a bitch.
She didn’t bother wasting time waiting to make her attack. The varnished blue roan mare was pissed and she allowed the anger she felt to fuel her. With the darkness and the drizzle slowly turning into real rain she was pretty much focusing as a blind horse at this point. Before the rain had started she knew she was on the side of the mare that was already torn and bleeding and that was what she was going to go with. Enmity wanted all of her momentum to go into this bulldozing tactic. Her aim was to pretty much just give more pain while she got her bearings and as soon as her bearing were all together she reared and flailed her front hooved viciously towards the mare’s open side. The goal here was to further open the wound or create even more. This attack didn’t last long because she knew Skindred could easily turn and return an attack. So, after just a few flails her front hooves landed on the ground once more and she turned and kicked out with her back legs. Now she was aiming for the bay mare’s face or neck area.
As her hind legs connected with the ground she slid from all of the moisture, her rump nearly hit the ground. Her sparse tail was soaked with the slushy snow on the ground. Trotting off a few feet she stopped and turned. Her movements were a bit slower as everything was beginning to catch up to her. At nine years of age, Enmity wasn’t a very old horse but numerous amounts of injuries tended to catch up to you. Her right ear was missing its entire top half and blood was pouring out of it. She shook her head, now spewing blood from her nose and ear at the same time. Her front legs were aching from the movements. As of right now her body was just one giant ball of pain. It was hard to ignore it even though she was stubbornly trying to do so. Enmity hadn’t planned on any fight being easy, and so far she was no disappointed, but all she wanted was to leave her own mark. Permanent marks that would forever remind her adversaries of the fights they had with her.
Words: 991 Notes: First round injuries include: pain in her nostrils from being clocked by flailing hooves, stings slightly when she takes deep breaths. Bruising and swelling on her face from being kicked so her face hurts. Pain in her left shoulder from being bitten. Round 2 Battle Injuries: None, her opponent back out. Round 3 Battle Injuries: Cracked the left side of her nose, both nostrils are bleeding and in pain. Her front legs are in slight pain from the awkward way she tried to regain her balance when Skindred ran into her. The top half of her right ear is torn off. Slight bleeding cut on the left side of her cheek. Attacks: She attempted to ram her body right into Skindred to make her lose her footing while grabbing onto her mane/neck area to tear at flesh and to talso throw her off balance a little bit. As she loped off Enmity kicked out with her back legs hoping to make contact with Skindred's left side. Aimed to barrel into Skindred's injured side just to cause pain. Then she reared and flailed to either make the wound even bigger or to make even more injuries. Then she reared and aimed to kick at Skindred's face or neck area. Dodges: Everything hit her, but with Skindred's last attack she managed to void most of it and only got nicked slightly by her teeth.

The sun had now completely disappeared and in it's place the sky had darkened. The clouds swirled angrily overhead and the rain drops began falling in a steady rhythm. Skindred had to squint her eyes in order to see properly and she kept her ears pinned in order to protect them. Her tail lashed against her wet flanks and she felt a bit of satisfaction run through her veins when she felt her hooves clock the mare in the nose. Her lavender occuli watched as blood spewed from her flared nostrils and Skindred fought the urge to grin. She wasn't here to show emotions, she was here to get her job done. This wasn't personal, it never would be personal. Enmity was just another equine standing in her way; but Skindred was a bit happier at finally facing another wench. When her teeth reached out for the mare's ear she was quite surprised that she had gotten a good grip, but she didn't hesitate to wrench it aggressively. Soon she felt the warmth of Enmity's blood spilling into her maw and when she landed she spat it onto the snow and slush. Skindred wasn't as sadistic as most darks and she definitely did not enjoy the taste of another horse's blood. Sure she got satisfaction when she saw them in pain, but it didn't go much further then that. Her last attack hadn't been as successful though and instead of scarring the mare's face like she had hoped for she had only gotten a small laceration there. Oh well. I made half of my marks. She thought as she paid attention to her breathing. Her lungs would burn mercilessly due to her damaged side and she loathed the split skin there. Her ribs were extremely sensitive and she knew that she would have to try her best to protect them.
It wasn't long before Enmity regained her composure. Skindred could tell by the mare's body language that she was not to pleased, then again Skindred wouldn't be either if she had half of her ear ripped off. Not long after she caught a glimpse of the wench through the rain she was gone. Skindred narrowed her eyes and focused her gaze only to see her barreling towards her at the last second. She had no choice but to brace her body for the impact and it wasn't a soft hit either. The sounds of their bodies colliding resounded through her ear canals and she cringed when her ribs stung in the process. The hit knocked the breath out of her and briefly stars crossed her vision; if Enmity was aiming to give her some pain she had succeeded. Her ears pinned further and when the mare aimed her hooves at her ribs Skindred took the hit. Each blow was like a baseball bat slamming into her side and instantly the skin was damaged, causing blood to pour from the slash marks. The warm liquid dripped down her side and was somewhat of a distraction but she ignored it. This time she was able to see Enmity's hooves coming for her face and she forced herself to move. Unfortunately she didn't have time to move completely out of the way and one of her hooves clipped her chest, but other then that she wasn't in too much pain. Anger fueled her as she pushed herself forward, her ebony limbs striking out at the ground with force. Quickly the gap was closed and her blood stained enamels aimed to grab the mare by her withers. Skindred yanked her head to the side, planning to take Enmity with her. When she felt she had some sort of an advantage and her hooves gained traction she reared; her hooves aimed for Enmity's already injured ear and her eye socket, hoping to clock her good this time. When she landed a rough snort was expelled as pain shot through her side and instantly she moved away from the mare, but not without sending a kick in her direction with her hind legs first. Her hooves sought flesh and she hoped they found their target, but there was no way of knowing. This battle was coming to a close and Skindred was pleased so far. Though she was in a decent amount of pain she had inflicted a good bit of damage on her opponent so far, and dare she say it but she was proud of herself. Skindred finally pulled to a halt after sliding a few feet on the slush and sucked in big breaths of air as she eyed Enmity for one last time. The mare had been one hell of an opponent to have and Skindred held no regrets.

1. Enmity lost some footing but regained herself quickly, minor bruising from where Skindred grabbed at her withers. 2. Skindred's hooves made a cut over Enmity's Right eye so now it looks like an 'x' going over her right eye, it's bleeding slightly. 3. Her left ribs are bruised, but not terribly because she managed to dodge the main brunt of it.
Good fight @horsehuggr =) This can be judged now.

@deadlysecrets with Enmity
Battle Form Completed Each Time: 10 Comments: The only thing I suggest is adjusting your physical percentage to correspond with your horses injuries <3 No Powerplaying/Godmodding: 10 Comments: none 1000 Words Or Less: 8 Comments: First post: 1001 Second post: 1005 (i had Vin double check on the first, and did both multiple times to make sure I was not over counting). I docked two points one for each post. Correct Setting: 10 Comments: You were good in your description of the settings as to how Gray portrayed them. Realistic Attacks: 9 Comments: I didn't feel that a body slam would really be an advantage for a Quarab verses a Hannoverian as there really isn't a lot of mass difference, more height and confirmation difference really Realistic Dodges: 10 Comments: I felt you had dodges that would correctly correspond (as to how you corresponded not fully dodged). Realistic Injuries: 10 Comments: Seemed very realistic in terms of Skindred's attacks Spelling/Grammar: 9 Comments: Grammar needs a bit of working on, though nothing bad. Total Score: 76
@horsehuggr with Skindred
Battle Form Completed Each Time: 10 Comments: None No Powerplaying/Godmodding: 10 Comments: None, though it was a tad iffy on the last post: "When she felt she had some sort of an advantage " could come across as it, i didn't quite take it that way but just a heads up for future reference. 1000 Words Or Less: 10 Comments: 759 & 806 Correct Setting: 10 Comments: You used the setting correctly Realistic Attacks: 8 Comments: I docked you here because I felt like you didn't play very well with the attacks. I felt like you could used more of the height advantage and such. Realistic Dodges: 10 Comments: Very realistic Realistic Injuries: 10 Comments: Yes, they seem to correspond to Enmity's attacks. Spelling/Grammar: 9 Comments: Grammar needs a few touch ups. Total Score: 77
Congrats to HH & Skindred. And just so you guys know that sucked to judge because the first THREE times I tallied scores it was a tie.... I had to rejudge this thing four times it was so hard =/
