Gladiator Tournament Round 1 Welcome to the first round contestants. Before we start I would like to go over few things with you.
This form should be in ALL of your gladiator posts, always. At the beginning of all replies.
Name- Breed- Age- Gender- Height- Alliance- Health- we would like to know both mental and physical health. This is a number, normally said in % Past injuries
- Make sure to fill out the form completely. After each post the Health % should drop, if not it will lead to your fighting not being realistic enough and you loose points for that. - For past injuries we only mean injuries that happened in previous rounds of the Gladiator Tournaments (so when you enter a next round the person you are fighting against can read at the top of the post how the character got injured in the last round). For round 1 you leave it blank since there are no past injuries. For Round 2 you write in Round 1 = and then fill out what injuries your character had in round 1. And then this will go on.
At the bottom of your post use this form.
Status (is your post completed or not) Word Count Attacks/Hits Dodges Injuries in this round Personal Note Wins/losses/ties/buy
- Word count can not go over 1000 words. - The attacks/hits are completely up to you, so are the dodges. Just make it realistic. To many attacks compared to opponent and to many dodges will have you loose points. - Injuries in this round = how your character gets hurt by the equine it's fighting against right this moment. - Personal Note - feel free to leave any kind of message you want (hate message, bashing message or anything like that will not be tolerated) - You need to include your wins, losses, ties and buys (though for Round 1 you leave it blank)
THREE days to reply, 2 replies per person. Gladiator Style = you do not have to wait for the opponent to show up, he is already in the ring and person that goes first can start attacking in post number 1. You need to make sure you have the surroundings and weather conditions right through out your post
SURROUNDINGS & WEATHER CONDITIONS - The ground is covered with thick layer of snow. Since it has been snowing heavily for the last couple of days. Right now though it has stopped snowing. For this round the snow is still to thick so the ice underneath it won't be a problem. The sky is clear, though there are some dark clouds creeping in in the distance.
@grafiti with Ephraim will go first followed by @cats with Praetorian

There are moments in your life where you question yourself wondering why the heck you were doing what you were doing. Right now was one of those moments. What the hell had I been thinking when I signed up for this? Why on earth had I thought for a minute that this was a good idea? I had a mate now, an expecting mate at that, waiting for me. Kerberus…it always boiled down to Kerberus. Upon joining the Gladiators, I had every intention of facing off my one nemesis that had ruined my life from the get-go. However in order to get to him I would have to go through another and maybe several others afterwards. While the rounds were a great opportunity to practice I was impatient for this. I wanted to rid the world of Kerberus once and for all. Instead of facing the heavily built and scarred midnight stud my first opponent was a light named Praetorian. Quite a mouthful. The muse comes unbidden to myself as I study the snow at my hooves. The thick white carpet that seemed to cover Wild Equines was high enough on my legs to make it a nuisance, but not enough to hinder my movement given due to my height.
The weather reminded of a time Lark and I had discussed the season after I had offered her comfort after a nightmare. The time spent chasing her had paid off that night. As I had admitted to her then winter had been my disliked season and it still was. The cold wasn't so bad, but it was this cursed white fluff that bothered me most. However this wasn’t about the weather this was about getting to Kerberus. Knowing that it would work in my favor to have the snow to soften my impact should I go down at all I push the dislike to the side mind focusing solely on the fight ahead. Briefly I lift my crown from the snow to peer up into the sky checking for any signs that there would be a shift in the weather. The dark clouds creeping towards us in the distance catch my attention. Whether those clouds would bring snow or rain remained to be seen, although I couldn’t help but hope for rain.
With a slight sigh, I tore my gaze from the darkening sky and allowed my crimson orbs to land on the beast opposite of me. I studied him similarly to how I studied the sky above and earth below, my intense gaze running over his form quickly but meticulously. My rib cage expanded as I inhaled then once more shrank as I let the air out of my lungs in a deep sigh this time, my hot breath causing steam to billow from my nostrils. It was now or never.
I reared back on my hind legs, my front daggers piercing the sky even as a shrill neigh ripped through the quiet air between us. Returning once more to the earth my light hooves dropped into the snow roughly, causing the powder to spray out in a cloud. In the next instance I charged my harks pinning back against my crimson painted skull as I lunged forwards, while at the same time my pearl canines bared. Once the distance between us was reduced to several strides I duck my head to the side with the hopes of shouldering his body and pushing him off balance while latching onto the curve of his neck close to his withers. If my aim proved true then I would fold my legs beneath me, thus using my weight to try and bring him down.
You can do speech like this.
Status complete Word Count - 617 Attacks/Hits 1 attempt at shouldering him and attacking his neckDodges -Injuries in this round -Personal Note Log Will get better in word count, promise.Wins/losses/ties/buy none Tagged: @cats and @birna

Name- Praetorian Breed- Quarter Horse Age- 4 Gender- Stallion Height- 16.3hh Alliance- Light Physical Health- 100% Mental Health- 100% Past injuries-It was a good day to fight today. It had been snowing for days but it had stopped before the tournament had started. It was sticking to the ground but it wasn't too high that it would limit a horse in his movements. It wasn't very slippery either, the ice was buried deep beneath the snow. All Praetorian had to do was make sure he was grounded properly and it should be fine. The sky was clear of clouds, eliminating the possibility of rain and snow, but it made it much colder. Praetorian's breathe made small clouds in the air, that would rise up and disappear eventually. He neared his opponent and nodded his head as a respectful greeting. He was fighting a stallion just a tiny bit taller than him and with a similar build. Because of this his next attack didn't quite work out the way it was supposed to. Praetorian got hit had against his shoulder and he slipped away a bit but leaned back against Ephraim and was able to stand his ground. To hit had caused a large bruise to appear on his shoulder though, and it would definitely be sensitive for a while. Because Praetorian had to stabilize himself he was too distracted to look at his opponent and he suddenly felt a sharp pain at his withers. He had been bitten and blood was dripping out of his fresh wound. It wasn't going to be lethal but it sure as hell was stinging. Praetorian bared his teeth and lashed out to his enemy, hoping to find a piece of skin anywhere between his teeth so that he could potentially rip it open. After that he reared up on his hind legs, looked down on his opponent and aimed for his opponents side, aiming at his ribs. It would be beneficial if he could break some ribs or at least bruise Ephraim's side. He had no time to tell whether he had hit his target though. Praetorian thought it would be wisest to trot away a few paces after his attack, so that he could re-assess the situation. Status [Completed] Word Count [324] Attacks/Hits Round 1 [1 | After being hit he lashes out with his teeth, aiming to bite anywhere on Ephraims body] [2 | He reared up and aimed for Ephraims side at his ribcage] [—] Dodges Round 1 [—] Injuries in Round 1 [1 | a cut bleeding at his withers] [2 | a large bruise at his shoulder] [—] Personal Note [@grafiti <3 I am so sorry for the short post. @grafiti - Sorry love, in the tournament there are no extensions.
It was decided that after the tournament was hosted the first time that there would be no extensions. It dragged the first tournament on for months.
