Gladiator Tournament Round 2 USE the same form, in the same way as in Round 1 (you can go to posts in round 1 to find it)
THREE days to reply, 2 replies per person. Gladiator Style = you do not have to wait for the opponent to show up, he is already in the ring and person that goes first can start attacking in post number 1. You need to make sure you have the surroundings and weather conditions right through out your post
SURROUNDINGS & WEATHER CONDITIONS - Since now few fights have happened the thick snow has been pressed down. The ground is a bit slippery but it is not completely ice since the ground is still snow. The temperature is around 0°C. The sky is still clear though the dark clouds in the distance are getting more and more noticeable.

Name- Zana's Rose Breed- Arabian Age- Six Years Gender- Mare Height- 14.3 Alliance- Neutral Health- 100% Mental - 75% Physical Past injuries Round One: 1 - She was bit on the neck, it is a moderate laceration that is bleeding. Will take a few weeks to heal over properly. It is likely to scar. 2 - She was bit on the rump, not as deep as the neck, but it's definitely going to be sore for a few weeks. 3 - Scrape across her chest, very light bleeding. 4 - His teeth scraped across her left cheek, tearing some of the skin off and leaving a rather large laceration. Bleeding quite a bit. 5 - She was bit on her right hock, taking some skin off and it will leave her lame for a week or two.
Even a month would have been too soon for Zana to want to step into the arena again. She had been nursing her newly injured hock when she had been called back into the limelight. With careful steps and hardly any hesitation, she returned to the arena for her next battle. Her light hooves made shallow indentations in the now packed down snow and she noticed the dark smears across the arena that must be the blood spilled from the other gladiators. Hell, she was sure that her own blood was part of the decor now. Her left cheek was still dripping blood, a sure sign that the nasty wound was going to take awhile to heal. The scrape on her chest and the bite on her rump had stopped bleeding already, though left stains in her dark coat from where the blood had trickled down. She knew that she looked like she had taken a beating, but the only injuries that caused her some hesitation were the deepest ones from the first round. The bite on her right hock had been enough to cause her to limp into the arena, though she tried her best to walk steadily to hide it. There was still that other bad bite to her neck, but she thought that if she was careful, then she'd be able to avoid irritating it. However, the injuries were not enough to make her drop out of her next battle. She held her head high as she marched farther across the snowy ground, careful not to slip and fuck up the rest of the fight. Some kid by the name of Quantum Physics was her next opponent. She had been hoping that he'd be more her size than the last gladiator, but her hopes were in vain. The stallion that stood before her in the arena had a little over a hand on her. His build wasn't all that petite either, not to the level that she was. The dark mare sighed in irritation, knowing she was going to have to throw her all into this battle if she wished to have any chance at winning. The last fight had been closer than she had thought it'd be. She wanted to make a name for herself and walking away from a battle as bad or worse off than the opponent was not going to make that happen. She decided that this time, she'd have to do better. Battles were supposed to be fast moving, so Zana decided not to make the other gladiator wait longer than he already had. She trotted towards the stallion, keeping herself collected and being damn sure that her hooves didn't slip. As she neared him, she slammed her hooves into the ground and veered to his left side. She stayed as close as she dared to him and slammed her front hooves into the ground again to get well enough grip to buck out her hind legs. She felt her hind left hoof kick out higher and harder than the right, but she still aimed to hit just above his shoulder. Her right hock began to radiate pain, so she tried to be cautious on bringing both hind legs back to the ground. Knowing that she was not in good condition, she tried to take a step away from the stallion, though her hind leg protested and she was forced to limped forward. The mare gritted her teeth, this was not how she had wanted her fight to begin.

Name- Quantum Physics Breed- Appendix Quarter Horse x Paint x Shire x Azteca Age- Two Years Gender- xy Height- 16.1 hh Alliance- Dark Health- 95% Past injuries 1: pulled hair out from behind his ears, no longer bleeding or causing pain 2: torn skin of his left hock, moderate bleeding, causes him to limp
His mother would be proud of him, the two year old was sure of it. He had just won his very first battle against some brute named Echo and gotten away with only two injuries, one of which was very minor and had already stopped bleeding. In fact, it had barely bled at all and the stinging from having his hair pulled out from behind his ears was gone though that could just be from the new adrenaline being pumped through his body. However, the adrenaline was not enough to take away the pain in his left hock. Echo had managed to tear the skin pretty bad. It wasn't a deep wound, thank God, but enough skin had been torn to soak the white stocking that normally encased his leg. It was now a bright red and every step sent pain shooting up his leg but, unlike other equines that might have tried to hide the limp, Quantum went the other route - he made it seem worse than it actually was. As he walked back into the arena, he walked slowly, ears laced back against his skull and letting out a low grunt every other stride, limping more than he needed to but not too much that it wouldn't be believable. His goal at the moment was to make his opponent think that he was weaker than he actually was.
Zana's Rose was his opponent's name this time and she entered the arena just moments after he did. He could just barely make out the sound of her hooves moving through the snow and he allowed himself a smirk while his back was still to her before putting on a neutral expression and turning around, careful not to slip on the snow that was becoming packed from multiple pairs of gladiators battling one another. He wasn't sure how many there were but by the looks of the blood splatters against the stark white snow, it was a decent amount.
The mare was much smaller than he had expected and he blinked a few times, taking in her petite form with a soft snort that was almost a chuckle. He kind of towered over her and though his legs were long and lean, his body was built like any other draft, showing the shire blood he got from his father. Was this a joke? How was he supposed to stop himself from killing this wench? Not only that, but the snow was really starting to get on his nerves. It was too bright and Quantum had never been a fan of brightly colored things. At least, for the mare's sake, she wasn't a palomino or something... He nearly smirked again before jerking his head back in surprise.
Quantum had spent too much time observing the mare's looks and not paying attention to her actions - a beginner's mistake if there ever was one - and now she was already upon him. He had no time to remove himself so he did the only other thing he could do. He tensed his body, gritting his teeth and letting out a hiss of pain as her back hooves came into contact with his left shoulder. The left hoof hit his upper shoulder and the right hoof connected with his lower shoulder, closer to his actual leg, and the pain... it was pretty impressive but at least it had not been enough to break the bones, or so he thought. But he didn't have time to focus on the pain. Instead, he began to move his body, forcing as much weight onto his injured hind leg as he could stand as he pivoted to face her. His eyes flicked down to her hind legs and he let out a low chuckle as he noticed the similar injury to her right hock. He also took note of her limp as she began to move away. He hadn't noticed the limping before so she must have been trying to hide it or he just hadn't been paying proper attention.
Licking his lips, the taller equine moved forward, the pain in his shoulder and hock making it difficult to gather much speed, but he did his best to approach her, coming up her right side and reached out with his teeth toward her neck. He was basically mimicking the attack that Echo had done on him but hopefully he would receive better results. He did his best to clamp his teeth either around her mane or her neck itself. He wondered if he would be able to pull her off balance. He figured it was worth a try so that's what he did. Doing his best to get a good grip on her, hoping to get her neck since he knew that mane could just come out in his mouth, he gave a steady tug of his head. Had he succeeded in getting a grip on her, he would maybe he able to make her stumble and stumbling on a slippery surface with her injury wasn't going to be pretty and it would probably be painful as well. Good. He wanted to see her in pain.
Status complete Word Count 871 Attacks/Hits 1: came up her right side and tried to grab either her neck or her mane; if he succeeded in doing this, he then tried to pull her off balance, using his strength and the height difference between them Dodges Injuries in this round 1: will develop a bruise that covers his whole left shoulder, small hairline fracture as well that could possibly become worse Personal Note birna said it was ok for me to add a link to his log here so click! Name- Zana's Rose Breed- Arabian Age- Six Years Gender- Mare Height- 14.3 Alliance- Neutral Health- Sixty-Nine % Physical - 100% Mental Past injuries Round One: 1 - She was bit on the neck, it is a moderate laceration that is bleeding. Time always seemed to slow down during the most intense moments of Zana's life. The phenomenon was not something new to her. From the moment she saw the stallion towering beside her, the ebony mare knew she had to move fast to avoid his next attack. She assumed he would be using his considerable size to slam against her in an attempt to force her to the ground. Zana was well aware of the dangers of laying under the hooves of an opponent and she was determined not to go down. In the split second before he actually attacked, she shifted her weight to ready herself to stumble to the left and away from him. However, the stallion's attack was far from what she imagined. Instead of the brutal slam of his body against her's, the mare realized that his teeth were going to do all the work. It took almost all her balance to keep from stumbling as she tried to lower her head faster than his teeth could descend on her neck. The world still seemed to be slowed down for the mare, almost coming to a halt as she felt his teeth dig into her flesh. Her heart thudded painfully in her chest and she tried to organize her thoughts from the fast paced chaos they had become. A neck hold was incredibly dangerous and she was not willing to risk a broken leg or to be trampled during a silly tournament. She knew she had to break free of his hold before he could deal any real damage. Quickly, she realized that lowering her head had been a good first reaction. It felt as if the stallion only had a shallow grip of her actual flesh and the rest was a mouthful of her mane. Although, she only had the time to celebrate briefly before she felt a sharp tug from the stallion's hold on her. The sudden movement jolted the mare, but she decided it would be her best chance to escape the hold. Even though her hooves skittered across the snow covered ground in a desperate attempt to keep herself upright as she moved, Zana pulled back and swung her head to the side. She could feel her skin tear and the heat of another fresh injury, but she was free of his bite. As time returned to its normal pace for the mare, the cost of her freedom began to show. Her hooves still slipped across the snow and she couldn't regain her balance. Knowing that she had to regain control fast, Zana grit her teeth and threw her weight onto her haunches. The bite to her rump stung with the sudden pull of her skin, but it was easily forgotten when her hock began to throb and threatened to give out. Instead of allowing her leg to fail her, she decided it'd be better to stop with the balancing act. The mare allowed for her sturdy leg to slip out from under her, knowing she had fallen plenty of times before and it'd hardly do her any harm. She hit the ground fast and before she could properly worry about being down while in a battle, her instincts had already kicked in. The mare quickly pushed herself back up to her hooves with great care to avoid stressing her hind leg any more. Cold bit into her heated skin, though it felt refreshing instead of bitter. With hesitation, the mare began to limp towards her opponent. The pain was starting to get to her, but she was determined to finish this fight with at least a shred of dignity. Her attack opportunities were limited, leaving just her teeth for the safest weapon. However, she was quick to remember that she had already stuck a good hit to the stallion's left shoulder. If she injured his other foreleg, Quantum would also face some limitations to the attacks he could shell out. With her last ditch plan in mind, the small mare forced herself into as fast of walk that she dared on snow. As she drew next to the stallion's right side, she raised her head in a small attempt to feign for a bite on his neck. Though she halted before she was close enough to bite at his neck or for him to bite her neck once more. She swung her head down to try to latch her teeth onto the soft flesh just above his elbow. The girl hoped that if she did sink her teeth into him, the injury would be in a sensitive enough spot to diminish his foreleg's range of movement. Even if she were in good health, it would have been incredibly difficult for a mare of her strength to bring down a stallion of his size. It wasn't a perfect choice, but immobility seemed like the best option for the inexperienced mare to try. Status Complete Word Count 830 (WE Word Counter) Attacks/Hits 1- She tries to bite just above his right elbow in an attempt to limit his range of attacks. Dodges 1- She is bit on the neck by Quantum, however she manages to duck her head down so that his bite is shallow. She is able to free herself, however loses a chunk of her mane and skin in the process. Injuries in this round 1- A bite to her neck that has ripped some of her mane out as well as some flesh. It will bleed moderately and will take a few weeks to heal properly. Scarring is expected of the area and her mane will grow back thinly there. Personal Note LOG - I will be posting injuries after Gray's next post, however I will be at work all day so it may take a few hours for me to get the chance to. His attack was a partial success. He found himself with a mouthful of black mane and a bit of flesh. It wasn't a pleasant combination, the taste was nothing like grass, but he hung on as he yanked his head in an attempt to pull her off balance. Her head was lowered, however, so it didn't go exactly as planned, especially when she managed to pull away and he was left with black strands of hair hanging from between his teeth. He spat them out with a growl before licking his lips and slowing his pace. He stepped awkwardly on his left foreleg, sending a jolt of pain through his shoulder, and he grunted as he stumbled. For a moment, his ivories lost traction on snow and he skidded forward a few inches, muscles tensing which only caused more pain in both his shoulder and his hock. He didn't pay much attention to the pain, however, instead focusing his attention to the sound of a heavy equine body landing on the ground.
Knowing his injuries would probably pay for it further down the road, he whipped his body around and trotted toward the mare with ears laced back against his skull. She was already starting to get up by the time he got to her but he approached anyway, kicking out sideways with his right hind leg toward her barrel. He put as much power into the kick as he could, doing his best to aim for her ribs or as close to them as he could get.
Just moments later, she was coming at him again with another attack. He saw her going to his face and neck area and, believing that was where she was going to bite, he lifted his head out of her reach only to have her change tactics and sink her teeth into the area just above his right elbow. He let out a sharp sound of pain, something close to a yelp, pulling away from her as much as he could, before deciding otherwise and reaching his own teeth toward her in another attempt at an attack, this time aiming for her ears. Or ear, rather. He noticed that left ear was already half bitten off so he did his best to try and grip the right one instead of the nub of the left one. He didn't care about any lasting damage done to her. He only cared about hurting her.
