Name: Baelrune Breed: Thoroughbred x Shire x Friesian Age: 7 Personality: * Vicious - Baelrune is a malevolent creature. He will inflict pain upon others without any hope of showing mercy. Baelrune is known to have taken things too far, far too often. Baelrune does not sway at the age of another either, he is incapable of shying away from his harsh ways no matter foal, or elder. Those who cross him have no hope of redemption due this part of his nature, and he will stop at nothing until he feels the imbalance in power is corrected.
*Ambitious - Baelrune is known to be a particularly power-hungry bastard. He will step on others, and slither behind the backs of any authority if it means he gets the upper hand. Baelrune may quickly let any power given to him go to his head. Baelrune will even go so far as to maim another if it means getting himself in the very seat of the power. He's not what you might call politically savvy. Baelrune prefers the use of force to the often times unreliable promises of another.
*Excitable - Baelrune is known to become very animated over a great deal of things. Particularly the heat of battle. He is no stranger to the horrors of battle, and in fact seeks it much of the time. Baelrune has trouble controlling and expression his emotions, and thus gets quickly worked up over situations (at times) that are insignificant. He may become too carried away in things, and thus may lash out at unsuspecting victims.
*Thieving - He has no respect for another's possessions. Whether it is a seat of power, a mare, or simply a treasured trinket. Baelrune is quick to steal the light in someone's life if he is able to. Along with this trait, it causes Baelrune to fall back into habits of lying. He may attempt to sweet talk another if it means gaining said possession of theirs. If his methods of sweet talk do not work, Baelrune will not hesitate to use force.
*Charming - With the whole slew of horrendous behavior Baelrune displays, he is capable of being a charming individual. He tends to know what to say, how to say, and when to say something. Baelrune has made a game out of this, to see how many equines he can get to fall for his false words, and promises. Though this trait may be shed in a desirable light for many, it does not for Baelrune. The charming demeanor he often uses only if he wants something, though he is quick to resort to his violent, maiming ways. His favourite types of promises are those of power, equality, and love. He particularly likes to prey upon the naive and innocent.
*Hopeless Romantic - Baelrune is obsessed with fairy tales and sappy love stories; it's quite the easiest way to distract him from a violent outburst. He will go to great lengths at times to recreate them, although rarely do they end happily. Many in fact end in blood shed for Baelrune, and not his own blood either. Baelrune is obsessed with the idea of a perfect relationship with another. Baelrune is not entirely incapable of love, rather love for him is not your typical style. It is one of a violent obsession, lust, and jealousy. Baelrune will typically use his charming demeanor in an effort to win over and swoon as many lovers as possible before tearing them up for failing to meet his deluded standards.
* Jealous - Anything that is his, must stay his. Baelrune refuses to share anything with someone else, further making the hopeless romantic aspect even more difficult to achieve.
*Lustful - Baelrune is no stranger to lust either. No matter the sex of the equine, Baelrune feels strong pulls for them. Much of which is rooted in his obsession with power, and the desire to have the most power over another. Baelrune often times will achieve this in atrocious ways, such as taking advantage of another equine. Baelrune is in love with violent relationships, that involve lashing out at one another in hateful ways.
History: Born to what you and I may call a 'poor' family, Baelrune's parents struggled to provide a humble life for their maddened son. From his birth it was clear he was unalike any equine in his herd. For no child was nearly as excitable as he, nor as obsessed with violence like Baelrune. His parents quickly feared for their child to lead a normal life, and their fears were quite valid. As Baelrune grew, he only grew more vicious. Maiming the other children, especially those that belonged to the leads of the small herd. Baelrune's jealousy towards them had driven him to attack them, and the children were too frightened to speak up against him. So for quite some time, little Baelrune struck fear into the hearts of the children of his herd. Soon he became a leader of theirs, of sorts. The adults seemed to think it was a cute game, though his parents knew better. No one listened when they addressed concerns over the safety of the other children when near Baelrune. It was the deaf ears that caused the first notable atrocity to strike at his hooves.
Baelrune had become so excited, and maddened during this 'game,' he had everyone submitting to, that when the time came to punish someone for not playing by his rules, Baelrune took a step too far. The child belonged to the male leader of the herd, and a mare who held almost no status among them. He tore open her bodice, her chest first. He tore away her flesh. Baelrune did not stop until the children, and he could all see her muscle and bone beneath. The filly died shortly after the ordeal, having gone into shock at such cruelty, and having been stripped of flesh that would keep her alive. Only after this did the rest of the adults grow to fear the growing child. Baelrune was barely a year old when he had been chased from his birth herd. It did not matter to the young stallion though. Baelrune was unafraid of the world, for even the animals that shared their world seemed to fear his twisted ways.
Baelrune traveled for many months before coming upon a savage band of equines. He watched them eagerly for weeks, not daring to approach until he figured out their customs. Baelrune confronted their lead, and informed them he would be staying among them. Due to his youth, many laughed in his face at such a bold statement. None believing a child his age could be so cruel as they. Baelrune regaled to them the tale of his exile, and while it shook the masses, many were unsure if he was being truthful. Baelrune grew furious by their doubt, and had demanded to know how to prove his tale true. A murmur passed through them, and finally the lead indicated to Baelrune that he must perform such an act before them all. It took just moments for a few of the others to retrieve a sickly old mare from the depths of the herd. She regaled her tale of life before the young demon, as were the customs of this band of marauders. Baelrune listened ruefully, as he was eager to perform the rite for the band. When she finished, Baelrune was awestruck to learn of her cruel ways, but continued on to kill her just the same as that filly before the eyes of his soon to be new family.
Many seemed to grow somber at the sight he displayed for them, before she slipped away before them. Baelrune discovered this was perhaps his favourite method of killing, the vision of a their almost pure anatomy became an obsession for him. The demonic child grew for many years among the vicious marauders. Finally, having gained the seat of power among them, Baelrune killed what was left. A mere five from the twenty he'd joined. Baelrune abandoned their bodies and ventured deep into the world known as Wild Equines.
Baelrune's life among Wild Equines had been mostly uneventful. He'd met many faces, although his ultimate goal was always kept in mind. He was granted the honor of being slain by the lord of hell himself. Swearing his soul and service to the king of death.
Cause of death: Soul taken by Diavolo Important Life Events: Born on the outskirts of WE Murdered a fellow filly very young Abandons home and joins rogue band of bachelors Rises through their ranks Turned his new 'herd' against each other Joined the masses of Wild Equines, wandering and meeting various equines Met Diavolo, and had his soul taken Going to Utopia or The Underworld?: Underworld Why do they deserve it?: Why do they deserve to go to Utopia/The Underworld?
