Name: Arielleah
Breed: Tennessee Walking Horse x Akhal-Teke
Age: 8 years
Personality: Arielleah is a sweet mare at heart, though past experiences have hardened her a bit more than many would have expected. She is caring and kind, going out of her way to help others that need it and does so with a happy heart. However, she will not stand for cruelty or violence. She was murdered in a jealous rage, so she is wary of stallions and their affections.
Ariel is a tad vain. She knows that she can be beautiful when she is looking her best and tends to make a point to do so when she can. But she is never cruel about it around others, unless a stallion is taking things too far in her opinion. She is classy and proud, preferring to act like a lady and feels that it is befitting her appearance to act her best at all times.
Seeing Ariel flustered can be funny. She gets tongue tied and will ramble on about what is irritating her once she has her thoughts straight. This side of her is often reserved for those that she feels closest to, hating the idea of someone seeing any imperfections from her. She is also not a morning soul. She hates mornings with a passion. She is the kind of mare that gets very crabby and short tempered in the mornings if she is woken or has to wake before she is ready to.
History: Arielleah was born to a pair of horses that were both light and gorgeous. Her mother was a nearly white Amber Cream Champagne Tennessee Walker mare and her father was a pale Perlino Dun Akhal Teke. They doted on their ghost like daughter and taught her everything that they could.
During Ariel’s second winter of life, her mother fell ill. She caught pneumonia and deteriorated rapidly. Within weeks, the once healthy and robust mare was gone, leaving her daughter and mate to continue on. Her father, worried about raising her without the influence of her mother, began to seek out a herd where she would be able to make some friends that were her own age. Succeeding, he left her to continue on her journey in safe hands, trusting that stallion to protect her.
Ariel stayed with the herd happily, though missing her parents. She gained the friendship of a handful of the younger mares, including the daughter of the herd stallion. The black filly, Ariel, and a dainty palomino overo filly became inseparable, going everywhere and doing everything together. As time passed, the trio began to make forays into the world and explore more and more. The black filly, headstrong and haughty from her father’s position, would flirt and play with the stallions that they came across, while Ariel tended to be the voice of reason. The smaller palomino was more of the shy one, hiding behind Ariel when she could and watching in awe as the other two handled themselves successfully.
Nearly halfway through her 6th year, the trio ran across a very striking red roan stallion. He was close in age to them and Ariel could not help but watch him as he came closer. "Greetings Mi'Lady. Are you alone in this cruel, cruel world?" She was enamored by his politeness and striking form, answering without thought. "I am my good sir. Have you a place I can stay?" The stallion's smile broadened a little. "I do in fact Mi'Lady. Would you grace my herd with your ethereal beauty?"
The trio went with him, the palomino trying to remind the others that they did in fact have a home. With no assent from the pair, she gave in, not wanting to go back alone. They travelled with the roan to his home, where they came face to face with his sire. Something about him made Ariel nervous and she stuck to the stallion’s side like glue. Her friends were taken to the sire’s harem, but she was reluctantly allowed to stay with the red roan, whose name she quickly learned was Vinchova.
The pair became quite close, Ariel falling for him as they spent time together. Roughly a year after she met the roan, she found that she was pregnant. Her pregnancy was the happiest time of her life, though her time with her dear friends was rare. She continued to grow and soon enough realized that she was going to be a mother to more than just one foal.
Ariel gave birth to a pair of babies, both pale like their mother. Together with the stallion that she had grown to love, she was blissful. But that was not to last. Shortly after the babies were born, Vinchova’s sire came in in a jealous rage. She tried to fight him, to protect the lives that she had nurtured into the world. However, she was nowhere near a match for Red Roan Sabino that had come for blood. She fell to his powerful blows and watched on in horror as he turned to her tiny foals. The fight then turned to his son and the battle was bloody. While they raged on, Ariel crawled to the lifeless forms of her babies. She wept then and watched the battle, watched the stallion that she loved get beaten thoroughly by his sire. Closing her eyes, she refused to watch the end and felt the world slip away. Pain became a distant memory and her soul rested in the black abyss of death.
Cause of death: Arielleah was murdered by the sire of her mate.
Important Life Events: Mother died when Ariel was 2. Father took her to a herd to learn to be a strong and independent mare. When she was 6, she fell in love with a stallion and settled down to life as a mother before being killed in a jealous rage.
Going to Utopia or The Underworld?: Utopia
Why do they deserve it?: Arielleah has always been kind and level headed, doing what she can to help others.
