The neutral kingdom Home to King Alistair and Queen Lark
By order of King Alistair and Queen Lark, in accordance with Neutral Kingdom rules and regulations point 5A
Two parties, Cheveyo and Thor, have expressed interest in claiming a land in the Neutral Kingdom. They both met with the King and Queen, and put forth their names. Being deemed worthy, the two stallions were asked to compete in battle to see who deserved the land, to which they both agreed.
The rules of the battle are as follow:
- The battle must have replies posted within three days of your opponents last post
- A total of 4 attacks will be allowed
- A total of 2 dodges will be allowed
Anything else; climate, time of day, etc can be decided upon by the participants.
Upon roll using an RNG, the first roleplayer to post will be Roman with Thor. @vis with Cheveyo will go second.
Good luck to both of you!

It was early morning, the sun had just begun to light up this part of the world, stirring the early risers from their deep slumber. Thor was standing at the border of Tremala Woods, staring out at the lands that stretched before him, deep in thought. When the dunalino draft had been informed that another was interested in his old home, Thor was disappointed but tried to hide it as best he could from his King and Queen. Both parties didn't back down and now it was to be decided by battle, as to who should be the Neutral Alliances newest herd leader and landowner. Muscular hind limbs threw the creamy mass of the draft stallion forth, but not in a careless manner, as Thor remained mindful of his hoof placement due to the ankle-deep flooding of the lands. Thor wondered how far this flooding extended, whether it touched all corners of Wild Equines, or if a few lands remained untouched. Would he find a barren land of sand and cracked earth like he was told to expect, or has the battlefields gotten the water it so desperately needed? Both prospects sounded dangerous for the duo that planned to fight there today, and Thor did not wish for either to become greatly injured, at least not unintentionally. It was an odd feeling though, heading to land designated for battles, against a stallion Thor had never met.
The thin layer of sand on top of the dry earth shuffled and crunched under the masculines hooves, causing auds to flick with an almost childlike curiosity. Blue pools peered down at his feathered feet then gazed out across the desert-like lands, surprised at how dry they had remained despite the lands he had come from being soaked. "Most curious...," Thor muttered to himself, then realised he almost forgot that he was meant to meet someone here to battle over land. Thor straightened himself and shook the curious look from his handsome facade, now holding his crown high as he looked for his opposition. Thor had hoped that his opponent wasn't already here, spying on him afar and catching Thor in his childlike wonder. How embarrassing would that be, turning up for a serious battle, only to be seen talking to yourself over the condition of the land?

Name: Cheveyo Breed: American Quarter Horse x Spanish Mustang x Paint x Arabian x Appaloosa Age: 10 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1 HH Alliance: Nuetral Health: Physical 100% Mental 100% The rains had all but destroyed the lands of Wild Equines. The flooding wreaked havoc on the areas in all of the different territories. There was no telling where the herds would go now, and that question was a bit scary even for Cheveyo. To have your people uprooted due to natural disasters or disasters of any kind was traumatic enough for even the most weathered of warriors. He understood from experience, having been uprooted not due to natural disasters, but by being exiled for failure to complete his trials—an error he had no intention of committing this time around. Leaving Tremala Woods after meeting with the Royals, he sloshed through the water quickly enough. It phased him naught, to have to walk through the water that now drifted through the mainlands. He felt sympathy for those who were victims of the flooding. He could create a sanctuary for those who were removed from their homeland should he win. Disappointment had been apparent in the Chief's tense body when he found out there had been another interested in the same land as he. However, that did not mean he would be defeated instantly. He set his mind to getting this land, to have a home of his own where he could bring his previous partner out and any of the other people that may need a home. That's why he was doing this. It wasn't some whim that he thought he would challenge for land because he was bored. He wanted that responsibility and a second chance at a failed opportunity to lead his people. Yet, those thoughts were shoved from his mind as he made his way to the battlegrounds where he would meet the individual he was meant to fight. To fight for a land that Cheveyo thought he deserved if his actions and plans for the territory were indications of that. As he neared the battlefield and his slate cracked hooves found the dirt ground, his opponent came into view, and Cheveyo felt his first bought of dread and uncertainty dredge up into his heart. He doubted his strength against this brute and dreaded the battle against him for fear it would crush Cheveyo in general. A golden pelt and cream mane and tail made up the beast, but it was his height, which was several hands taller than Cheveyo, who was a modest fifteen-point-one hand, grullo roan, frame overo stallion. The decorated ten-year-old Chief walked further onto the battlefield and cleared his throat to announce his presence. "I am Cheveyo, once Chief of the Medicine Bow People. The Royals said I would meet my opponent here." He introduced himself and stated his intentions for being there. In the morning breeze, the feathers of his headdress rustled. It caused the beads to hit against his neck and make a slight noise. His clear blue gaze landed on the brute once more as he came to a halt in front of him. Cheveyo's painted features appeared calm and confident. Everything on him was proof of his many successes as a warrior. From battles to races, to endurance challenges - they were all painted on him or decorated his form in some way. As would this battle, win or lose. An expression of surprise came over the features of the heavy draft as his assumed opponent came into view. Only once before had Thor seen someone so heavily covered in paint and trinkets, but in quite a different style to this stallions. Was this the fashion of equines that come from the lands outside of Wild Equines, or had he just not met enough colourful equines in his lifetime? "I am Cheveyo, once Chief of the Medicine Bow People. The Royals said I would meet my opponent here." The extravagant stallion named Cheveyo, called out, as he continued to head in Thor's direction. The golden brute took this time to look over his now confirmed opponent, taking note of the grullo's smaller and lighter structure. Thorns flicked irritably at the sudden rustle and crackling sound coming from Cheveyos nape as a sudden breeze blew through, taking Thor's attention away from his evaluation and redirecting it to the trinkets that adorned the other brutes crest. The noise that came from those adornments must cause some grief to their wearer? Thor couldn't imagine dealing with that noise being so close to his ears.
The decorated fellows' features gave an outward appearance of calm and confidence, as he came to a halt in front of Thor, his vocals flowing once more. "Might I have the name of the individual I am to battle?" Blue pools narrowed sceptically, wondering why this brute is spending most of his time chatting, rather than making the first move to attack. Were they not here to fight for land after all? And why was he so close? Thor couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable in the smaller stallions presence. "The names Thor," the dunalino said coolly as he slowly took a couple of steps back till there were at least three meters between them. "We are here to battle, are we not? Why didn't you make your first move?" Thor question in the same even tones, biting back the urge to question why Cheveyo got so close.
Carefully watching his opponent and weighing up his options, Thor decided to take this battle into his hooves. Taking into account their height differences, the distance between them and the state of the land, the golden beast formulated a plan of attack. Thor shifted his hind daggers, planting them firmly once he felt he had a decent grip on the crumbling earth. In one fluid motion, the golden beast launched himself toward Cheveyo, pearly whites bared and gnashing as Thor leaned to the right as his nape snaked out, close to the top of Cheveyos poll. Thor's main goal was to grab the top of Cheveyos neck, where meat, feathers, and beads are aplenty. If Thor manages to grab an ear instead, he would not complain, as long as he was able to tear some sort of flesh. With Cheveyo being smaller, lighter and more than likely faster than Thor, he had to come to terms that his attack could miss completely. But maybe, even if he didn't manage to wound Cheveyo, he could at least relieve him of some of those darn feathers. In a single bound Thor left Cheveyos side, putting some distance between the two again.

Name: Cheveyo Breed: American Quarter Horse x Spanish Mustang x Paint x Arabian x Appaloosa Age: 10 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1 HH Alliance: Nuetral Health: Physical 95% 1. torn ear, blood is causing hearing loss but not permanent Mental 100% To have the other stallion step back from Cheveyo, evoked some confidence from the chief. Maybe it's not what he originally intended, but having come to stand so close to the other horse, he could understand why he backed away. That was fine by him; he wanted to make him uncomfortable, to give him a reason to doubt himself in this fight. Cheveyo was confident in his abilities. Maybe not in his size, however, given how tall the other brute was. That didn't mean he couldn't win this battle. A lot was going in his favour, such as his size. He was smaller but quick on his feet. When the other male gave his name, Thor, Cheveyo could finally put the title to his face instead of thinking of him as 'stallion,' 'male' or 'brute.' It was a lot easier this way. "Indeed, we are here to fight. But I do not start fights," he stated, briefly pausing while sizing up the stallion, "I finish them." With that, Cheveyo watched the stallion approach, tensing, and preparing himself for the attack. Thor's teeth bared and aimed for him; the stallion dropped down to his knees and took the calculated attack to his ear rather than his crest. The damage to his now torn ear caused the chief to squeal in both rage and pain. That did not stop him from leaping back to his hooves and bucking into the air to kick towards the other stallion. He intended to get some height to aim a kick at Thor's head. He hoped to land a foot on his jaw to break it, which would prevent the stallion from potentially eating correctly for a little while. Or, at least with a considerable amount of pain. Should his attack fail him, it would be a blow to his confidence, but he had other plans of attack lined up that would be as equally painful as the one he just attempted. This battle was precisely the very thing Cheveyo's years of training prepared him for; years of fighting opponents, predators, and taking punishing blows from others while he stood still to teach him just what pain was. He could handle the torn ear, even as the blood drained into the now exposed socket. After he landed on his hooves, he shook his head to rid his injured ear of the deafening blood that pooled into the hole. His gaze fell on Thor, ear pinned against his crown as Cheveyo turned to face him. Without pausing, he charged the stallion this time with a war cry. His teeth bared and remaining ear pinned in the feathers that adorned his crown, he aimed his next attack for the other stallion's face. This time, he hoped to grab the bridge of Thor's face and jerk him down into the dusty earth, using his full weight to do so by buckling his legs once more. It would be tricky, as it would leave him exposed for another attack from the other barbarian, an injury that could very well brutally damage Cheveyo. Name: Thor Breed: Friesian x Gypsy Vanner x Shire x Viaampred x Appaloosa x Andalusian x lusitano x American Saddlebred x Tennessee Walking Horse Age: Eight years old Gender: Stallion Height: 18.2hh Alliance: Neutral Health: Physical 75% - Grazed knees from not landing on his hooves as attended. Bruised muscles in rump as well as two cuts made from Cheveyos hooves, causing lameness and limping. A long 7-centimetre wide strip of flesh torn from the neck. Mental 90% - Seeing the witch doctor perform a little "blood magic" has greatly disturbed Thor. Had a moment where he went blind with rage.
A sudden metallic tang had reached Thor's taste buds as he pulled his head away; queasiness taking hold of his stomach as his tongue felt a solid, hairy, lump between his teeth. The sound of Cheveyos cry of rage and pain assaulted Thor's eardrums shortly after, causing the draft mutt to flatten his golden towers against his poll as he spat the chunk of flesh out. Dish-shaped flints pushed off the earth as Thor's muscular segments propelled him forward, feeling the sudden need to get as much space between then. Things didn't go to plan though, as Thor let out a cry of pain and shock mid-leap. His front hooves missed their mark after the sudden impact to his rump, sending Thor to the ground. Slowly the dunalino got back up to his feet, his knees and rear aching, already feeling the muscle in his rump starting to bruise as blood bubbled in the cuts made by Cheveyo's hooves. Thor knew that Cheveyo, being the smaller and lighter stallion, would be quicker than him; though how he managed to get back onto his feet and kick out as quick as he did, was a mystery to him. Surely Thor wasn't that slow of a jumper?
Thor barely had time to comprehend that he got kicked in the ass when he heard the sound of Cheveyo charging his way, screaming. Thor's front hooves took a step to the left then planted themselves; his body now slightly turned toward his opponent so his shoulder and barrel would be able to be seen by Cheveyo, and not only just his rump. When it became apparent that the smaller beast intended to go for his face; Thor turned his head away to his right side, feeling the brute's teeth sink into the side of his neck. To Thor's horror, Cheveyo made his knees buckle. Thor managed with great difficulty, to hold himself up as the smaller stallions teeth slid down his neck, tearing a seven-centimetre wide ribbon of flesh from his nape. Blood immediately came to the surface of the raw patch, dripping down the wound and creating a small puddle on the sand. A roar of pain bellowed from Thor's vocals as his eyes began to tear up; the spring air on open wound stung, making the pain worse.
The anger that welled up in Thor put him into a blind rage, as adrenaline seemed to make his previous pain disappear. Knowing the stallion had dropped himself to the ground; Thor half reared as he began his rampage, stomping his hooves into the cracked, sandy earth and in turn, hopefully, Cheveyo. At this point, Thor didn't care where he hit Cheveyo, as long as he did, to trample the brute into the dust would bring the golden dunalino great pleasure at this point of time. Each slam of his daggers and half rear, after the first few, caused pain to shoot through Thor's knees and rump, as the adrenaline began to wear off. Thor ended his onslaught, remaining where he was, the muscles in his rump burning and becoming tighter as they stiffened. His movements were going to be slower than they already were, compared to the lighter stallion, as the lameness set in his hind ligaments.

Broken ribs and torn flesh going down his ribcage from topline down his barrel. A nasty cut could easily get infected at least 12 inches long Mental 100% It did not disappoint him that his attempted kick didn't hit the mark; at least it hit him in some way. He felt some bit of satisfaction that his kick left cuts on the brute. Thor tore his ear off; it was the least that Cheveyo could do in return. Cheveyo would not give in so easily, either. He would fight until his last breath if it went that far. He was a warrior; that is what warriors did in battles. Either they won, or gave their lives to the cause. That was something Cheveyo had come to terms with at a very young age. He accepted death as a consequence of living. You did not get to be immortal like the Creator. That was not an honor that is bestowed upon them. This time it was Cheveyo's turn to feel the crimson liquid coat the inside of his mouth, which brought him back to this moment. The chief landed on his knees, which caused him to grunt in pain, bruising the front joints. He wouldn't be able to walk without pain for quite some time. He shook his head again, trying to rid himself of the taste, and that nearly cost him his life; that split second of hesitation and distraction just as Thor was rearing up. His daggers aimed at Cheveyo didn't give the stallion much time to roll out of the way. Just as Cheveyo scrambled to his feet, the other brute just barely came down on top of him, his front hooves crazing Cheveyo's barrel in a way that ripped some of the flesh in a grotesque cut. Along with the now bloodied coat he wore, he felt his ribcage give under the onslaught; a couple surely fractured as evident in how hard it was to breathe and move. Now his movements would be just as slow, if not slower, than his opponent's. He stood away from Thor, his sides heaving as exhaustion was starting to set in. He fought it, contemplating his next move while painfully catching his breath. Rearing up maybe a bad idea, as his ribs would scream in protest, and he could fracture them further. Kicking was equally as exhausting, so he would have to go lower, focus on the other horse's legs instead of his top line. Maybe he could cripple the beast from below. Cheveyo's shorter stature and speed, for the most part, would work in his favor if he were to go lower. Taking a breath, wincing as he did so, Cheveyo charged the other stallion in hopes of shoving his shoulder into Thor while aiming a deadly bite at the brute's jugular. He hoped to rip at the flesh, make him bleed more. The land would be his home. He would fight until he had no more fight left in him. Minor pain in the shoulder from Cheveyo shoving his shoulder into his. Mental 90% - Seeing the witch doctor perform a little "blood magic" has greatly disturbed Thor. Had a moment where he went blind with rage.
Limbs trembled from exhaustion and pain as the draft stallion stood in silence; sides heaved while he tried to regain his breath. Thor's mind was reeling after what he had just done; remembering that he felt hoof hit flesh. Blue pools looked to Cheveyo, seeing the bloody grotesque cut on the side of his barrel; a sudden pang of guilt tugged at Thor's heart. While he did aim to hurt Cheveyo, as this is a battle for Thor's previous home, he did not want to wound the brute as bad as he did. At least, not while his mind was clear; while in his blacked-out rage, however, the golden beast had every attention in causing as much damage as he possibly could.
Thor didn't get much time to rest as the little painted beast came charging toward him. All Thor could do was brace for impact as Cheveyo's shoulder shoved into his; causing a loud grunt to erupt from Thor's vocals as the wind got knocked out of him. His limbs failed to keep him planted where he stood as the impact made Thor stumble, evidently working in his favour in the end. It had seemed Cheveyo had wanted to rip his throat out, or something along those lines, as Thor felt the short hairs on his throat get pulled briefly during his almost fall. Thor winced as the muscles in his rump and legs complained, not liking the sudden movement they had to endure.
Eyeing his opponent, Thor contemplated on what to do next. Movement in his hindquarters had become very limited; he'd be lucky to jump, kick, or even trot in his condition. His knees were sore, his loss of control over his mind and body had caused more damage to them since his awkward landing. Movement of his neck wasn't going to be easy either; even though the pain was local to only his neck wound, moving it would cause the already dried flesh to crack and reopen. It seemed to be his only option at this present time, and so he just had to grin and bear the pain.
Taking an awkward sidestep back toward Cheveyo, Thor closed the gap between them before reaching out with teeth bared and jaw open. Thor aimed for the base of Cheveyos neck, just above his withers, hoping to rip those trinkets out once more, along with some flesh. He had not forgotten the beads and feathers on the painted stallions crest; still holding a great dislike for the nosy things, despite not knowing the meaning behind them. As far as Thor knew, they were just items Cheveyo had found laying about, holding no great significance or meaning. If he managed to rip some out, Thor could make a trophy out of them, and hang them up in the cave where the wind can't blow them. A decoration and conversation starter all in one, marking an achievement in Thor's life, where he fought and won his first battle. First, Thor would have to win this battle and detach those items from Cheveyo, and there is a chance that neither will happen, but there is no harm in wishful thinking.

Small scrape and pulled up skin 2 inches along his spine, nothing major, will heal beautifully Mental 100% He felt no remorse. Please don't call him heartless, because that's not exactly the case. This battle was for something he sorely wanted with all of his being; he didn't have the luxury of feeling guilt. Guilt meant he would weaken his attempts to win this fight, and that was something the chief could not afford. The impact of his shoulder against Thor's had not only knocked the breath out of the stallion; it also caused his ribs to ache considerably. He grunted from the impact as well and stumbled into the other brute as Thor tripped up from the force of the blow. Cheveyo was disappointed that his mark was missed but surprised in the slightest. He was weary, spent from the lengthy battle. Thor's hesitation gave Cheveyo a moment to breathe, despite the pain that radiated throughout his frame with every breath he took. His legs shook from exertion; leftover blood dripped from his maw from when he tore Thor's neck, but also from his muzzle due to the blood vessels that burst inside his nostrils. His sides heaved, each heave caused pain to blossom throughout his entire body. His moment of rest did not last long as Thor stalked him once more in a sidestep. Cheveyo lifted his head, alert now, and made ready for his attack. At the last minute, Cheveyo turned away, catching Thor's bared teeth to his spine, where only a bit of flesh tore under the pressure of his attack. His slow movements due to his injuries were not preventable; that did not deter the brute from trying. In retaliation, he spun around and bucked out at the other barbarian, trying to land another hit to the side of his face or neck, whichever he could reach. It mattered not at this point. He wanted to land another blow; he had too. It was important to him to win this because he needed a place for Chimali to come home to should he reach out to her to meet him if she wanted to meet him. The wound on the side of Thor's neck had dried just enough for it to crack when the flesh pulled tight, breaking the fresh seal, causing Thor to wince while making his attack. Pearly whites seemed to have hit along the spine of the other brute, tearing a small amount of flesh up as the golden stag pulled away. Fresh blood welled up from the reopened wound on Thor's nape as small, red droplets slowly began to crawl down toward the earth. The flesh wound must have been just enough to get on Cheveyos nerves, as he suddenly spun around. Out of reaction, Thor stepped back as quick as his tired limbs would allow him, just as hooves came flying past his face, only just clipping his chin on the way past. Pain erupted through Thor's jaw as his teeth chatted, a fresh cut now marking its underside as blood reddened the area. The hit to Thor's chin will cause minor swelling, making talking and eating slightly painful for a couple of days, the cut will heal just fine.
With a small shake of his skull, Thor steadied himself as his eyes fell on Cheveyo once more. Taking into consideration that the decorated fellow was off to the side ahead of him; Thor's next attack would once again be a close-range one, and more likely to be aimed for the brutes rump. Rearing and bucking would be out of the question; Thor's muscles will not be able to handle his full weight let-alone propel his hulk, due to the sheer exhaustion he is experiencing. He'd have to use his teeth again or use a single hoof to strike somewhere low, in hopes of not having to use as many muscles in his rump and still put enough power behind his attack. Hobbling forward, Thor moved up alongside the painted Warrior, taking care to make sure they didn't touch. Suddenly Thor lifted his back right hoof and struck out toward Cheveyos hind left limb, hoping to land a kick to his knee. A kick there could make Cheveyos knee buckle or break, even bring the stallion to the ground, assuming Thor can muster the power to put into the hit.
It was odd, the feeling Thor got at the end of the battle. The fight had been long and exhausting, and it's worth would only be told once the victor is named. The golden knight had given his all, push his body to exhaustion, and put his heart into every attack he made. Thor didn't just fight for himself; he fought for his children, he fought for the chance to earn their family home, so they had a safe place to come back to and sleep at night. The land had so much sentimental value to Thor; his father once owned it, his children were born in that ravine, and it has been a large part of his life. To win it would mean more than anything to the beast, as this time he would have earned it; not be handed it by his father or by Alistair when they both found better horizons. This time, the land would be Thor's because he earned it, fair and square. Thor dipped his crown to Cheveyo, a sign of respect to someone Thor viewed as his equal, the shorter stallion had shown he was just as tall as Thor in spirit and fight.
Tagged: @vis with Cheveyo Words: 570 Comments: I am incredibly thankful for the extension <33 Good luck! Hits remaining: Zero Dodges remaining: Zero Attacks: 1. Thor is attempting to grab and tear flesh from the top of Cheveyos neck, or ear if he can. 2. Thor is attempting (and hoping) to trample Cheveyo. 3. Thor is attempting to bite Cheveyo on the neck above the withers, hoping to tear flesh as well as rip out some of his feathers and beads again. 4. Thor is attempting to kick Cheveyo in the back left knee.
Dodges: 1. The impact from Cheveyos shove had caused Thor to stumble and in turn, made Cheveyo miss his mark on Thor's juggler. No damage was taken other than the pain of having something hit your shoulder like a punch. 4. Thor took a couple of steps back just as Chev spun, causing Chev's hit to miss the intended target. Instead, he manages to clip Thor's chin, causing a minor cut and swelling that will appear after the battle.
Injuries: 1. Cheveyo's kick landed on Thor's rump during mid-leap. The consequence of the impact caused Thor to land on his knees, grazing them and causing minor bleeding. The hit itself has caused cuts and bruising to his rump, that is painful, slightly raised and has minor bleeding. Thor is lame and will be limping for a couple of weeks to a month. 2. A 7-centimetre strip of flesh has been torn down the length of his neck (from just beneath his mane, down to the underside of his neck). Without proper care, it can become infected and fester. Image here to show what I mean about neck wound, red spots indicate wounds on knees and butt. On the butt, there is two though, one on each side. 3. Minor pain in the shoulder from Cheveyo shoving into him, much like taking a punch to the arm. Nothing that will cause issues long term. Pain in the neck from making his attack. 4. The hit to Thor's chin will cause minor swelling, making talking and eating slightly painful for a couple of days, the cut will heal just fine.

Name: Cheveyo Breed: American Quarter Horse x Spanish Mustang x Paint x Arabian x Appaloosa Age: 10 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1 HH Alliance: Nuetral Health: Physical 78% 1. torn ear, blood is causing hearing loss but not permanent 2. Broken ribs and torn flesh going down his ribcage from topline down his barrel. A nasty cut could easily get infected at least 12 inches long 3. Small scrape and pulled up skin 2 inches along his spine, nothing major, will heal beautifully Mental 100% He felt the impact jolt through his leg as his hoof made contact with Thor's chin. There was a sense of satisfaction that blossomed in his chest over the fact he landed that hit no matter how much pain he was feeling. Cheveyo's people taught him to take the pain, to embrace the pain, and use it to his advantage. The pain was his strength and fueled him on. The same pain that gripped his aching body with every move he made. Especially as Cheveyo landed after the kick, he watched the other stallion dance towards him. Cheveyo pinned his ear back and, with some stiffness, stepped away from him warily. When Thor struck out at his legs, Cheveyo was quick enough to leap sideways out of the way and squealed, both from fury and from the pain the movement had caused him. He felt his ribs crunch and groan under the swift dance away from his opponent, his head ached from his missing ear, and he couldn't hear out of it. The odd sensation of it had him lightheaded and dizzy, but he tried not to let that deter him or throw him off in any way. No, he had enough in him to dodge the blow to his knee by leaping to the side out of the way. Sure, it caused his breath to catch in his throat, and he saw stars, but somehow he managed. Once he landed, he staggered a bit before finding his footing in the dry earth. His sides heaved in exertion, but he managed to hold his head high even as he came to a stop a few feet away from the other stallion. Once again, Cheveyo wanted to make it known he did not find any reason to be intimidated. Even if the battle was over, he was not going to relax enough to let his guard down. The war chief lifted his crown despite his muscles screaming at him to collapse on the ground and get some rest. Cheveyo watched his opponent dip his head in respect and mimicked the motion by doing the same. His gaze stayed on Thor, however, in case the brute decided one more attack was needed. Standing away from the stallion, even as close as he was - granted he couldn't reach out and touch him - Cheveyo found himself questioning what this would mean for him. What would this mean for his People in Medicine Bow? Inevitably there would be a few followers left behind that would accept him again. That was his confidence talking, of course. All that he could hope for was Chimali. Even so, if she decided he was unworthy of her, and he would not hold that against her. He would then focus his efforts on building a home for a new People, and serving the Neutral crown the best he could. Roleplayer & Character: Cheveyo played by @vis Cohesiveness: 11 Comments: - Small spelling errors. - Some grammar errors/ general flow of sentences that could have been reworded to flow easier.
- (A golden pelt and cream mane and tail made up the beast, but it was his height, which was several hands taller than Cheveyo, who was a modest fifteen-point-one hand, grullo roan, frame overo stallion.) - Instead of breaking up the sentence, it could have been reworded to work flow wise. - (Just as Cheveyo scrambled to his feet, the other brute just barely came down on top of him, his front hooves crazing Cheveyo's barrel in a way that ripped some of the flesh in a grotesque cut.) - I don't know if you meant grazing? The sentence is confusing, because assuming it is a typo a grazing wound shouldn't be a grotesque cut. - 'It wasn't some whim that he thought he would challenge for land because he was bored' - Just doesn't really make sense to me. A few commas or something like: It wasn't on a whim or from boredom that he had thought of challenging for land. - 'A golden pelt and cream mane and tail made up the beast, but it was his height, which was several hands taller than Cheveyo, who was a modest fifteen-point-one hand, grullo roan, frame overo stallion' - Incomplete sentence, started talking about how Thor's height made him feel then didn't finish. - A couple of really short sentences that could have gone longer (e.g: ' It caused the beads to hit against his neck and make a slight noise. His clear blue gaze landed on the brute once more as he came to a halt in front of him. Cheveyo's painted features appeared calm and confident. Everything on him was proof of his many successes as a warrior.') (e.g: Cheveyo would not give in so easily, either. He would fight until his last breath if it went that far. He was a warrior; that is what warriors did in battles. Either they won, or gave their lives to the cause. That was something Cheveyo had come to terms with at a very young age. He accepted death as a consequence of living. You did not get to be immortal like the Creator. That was not an honor that is bestowed upon them.) - He felt some bit of satisfaction – some bit should either be just “he felt some” or “he felt a bit” this is redundant - Either they won, or gave their lives to the cause – should be “They either” flow is jarring - his front hooves crazing – crazing should be grazing - Please don't call him heartless, because that's not exactly the case. – tense change from 3rd to 1st. - Cheveyo was disappointed that his mark was missed but surprised in the slightest. – is missing “but wasn’t” or “but was not” before surprised Realism: 10.5 Comments: - Some of the attacks didn’t seem to take into account the previous movements or attacks that Thor made. They seemed a bit haphazard rather than calculated. - Cheveyo did not note height difference when he attempted to grab Thor’s face. - Cheveyo kicking out at Thor in retaliation without considering each one’s position once more didn’t seem realistic. - In Thor's first attack, Roman describes it as 'one fluid movement', Wicca then says that Cheveyo 'watched the stallion approach, tensing, and preparing himself for the attack'. I don't think he would have had the time for that. - In Cheveyo's first attack, I don't see how he was on his knees with Thor in front of him to suddenly being up and bucking. - I do like how Wicca explained the intended injuries that Cheveyo's attacks would inflict. - When referring to the ear injury, I was getting confused as to the extent. Wicca posts 'Thor tore his ear off' and 'his head ached from his missing ear' IC but also refers to it as 'torn ear, blood is causing hearing loss but not permanent' in the form. I mean if it is torn off that seems pretty permanent to me. - I liked the Wicca used Cheveyo's thinking as a distraction from the fight and used that as a mistake in how he could've been hit. - I enjoyed that Wicca kept referring to the injuries and how they would hinder attacks. Though in saying that, after the trampling, I don't see how Cheveyo would realistically have that long to think about his attacks. - 'At the last minute, Cheveyo turned away, catching Thor's bared teeth to his spine, where only a bit of flesh tore under the pressure of his attack. His slow movements due to his injuries were not preventable; that did not deter the brute from trying. In retaliation, he spun around and bucked out at the other barbarian, trying to land another hit to the side of his face or neck' - In his current condition with the injuries, I just don't see him spinning around twice with such speed and then bucking. - His first attack was a little confusing to me, as he went from being on his knees to jumping and bucking and aiming for Thors face, when it is stated that Thor was moving away from him. - Second attack seems slightly unrealistic, I don't think a smaller stallion would have buckled legs, instead try to exploit a weakness of his opponent considering the advantage of Thor's weak spots being in a more realistic grabbing range essentially. Buckling his legs gives him no chance for escape, which horses are prey animals, they don't willingly give up their flight ability. - During Thor's onslaught, you describe him as having just grazing Cheveyos barrel, but then state that his ribs cracked/broken by the 'onslaught', contradicts itself in verbiage. - Third attack was good, and I felt realistic, though I had to go into your attack comments to see where he attempted to hit Thor with his shoulder in contrast to trying to grab his throat. I just suggest adding detail to position of characters at the time of attack. - Forth attack seemed realistic. Movement: 9.5 Comments: - The attacks didn’t always respond as well as they could have to Thor’s movements or characteristics. Cheveyo did take into account his own injuries - You brought awareness to the height/weight difference of the two stallions. - First attack I believe is viable, for a horse to jump to his feet then buck, the actual movement is not what I find unrealistic, but rather the aim to his face, when his opponent was facing away as well as the actual speed at which he would have to get up from his knees to his feet, and then begin the buck at how far Thor possibly was away from him by then. - Second attack I felt was realistic other then the buckling, leaving himself so exposed is not something I would see a horse actually doing purposely. - Other movements seemed realistic. - In Thor's second attack, Roman describes it as stomping at first. Whereas Wicca describes a rear at first, which supports Cheveyo's escape, I think Cheveyo would've been hit before that. - In Cheveyo's second attack, I don't see him being able to easily reach Thor's bridge without rearing or jumping. - I appreciated Wicca's paragraph on Cheveyo realising that he would need to hit low due to his injuries (although, he then went to buck at Thor's face) - With a lot of Cheveyo's injuries, his movements were continually being referred to as 'swift' and 'quick', which doesn't seem right with me. Completion of the Form: 13.5 Comments: - Form was filled out in each post with description of injuries verses health drainage. - There was also some discrepancy with the form and the post, in the posts it is said his ear was torn completely. It is written that he now only has one ear, but the form does not reflect this loss entirely. "1. torn ear, blood is causing hearing loss but not permanent" - OOC "The damage to his now torn ear caused the chief to squeal in both rage and pain. " "Thor tore his ear off; it was the least that Cheveyo could do in return."

Roleplayer & Character: Thor played by Roman Cohesiveness: 10 Comments: - Minor spelling / grammar errors. - Some sentence structures and missing words, redundant phrasing made it hard to follow in some spots.
- (A roar of pain bellowed from Thor's vocals as his eyes began to tear up; the spring air on open wound stung, making the pain worse.) - (At this point, Thor didn't care where he hit Cheveyo, as long as he did, to trample the brute into the dust would bring the golden dunalino great pleasure at this point of time.)
- A couple of occasions where tense was changed: 'Blue pools narrowed sceptically, wondering why this brute is spending most of his time chatting, rather than making the first move to attack.' ' If Thor manages to grab an ear instead' 'A kick there could make Cheveyos knee buckle or break, even bring the stallion to the ground, assuming Thor can muster the power to put into the hit.
- 'now holding his crown high as he looked for his opposition' - opposition here doesn't quite make sense to me as opposition is more align with a group. 'his opponent' or 'the opposition' would be better suited. - 'as to who should be the Neutral Alliances newest herd leader and landowner.' - alliances is missing an apostrophe. - 'The sound of Cheveyos cry of rage and pain assaulted Thor's eardrums shortly after' - Cheveyo's is missing an apostrophe - 'feeling the sudden need to get as much space between then.' - then instead of them - 'The noise that came from those adornments must cause some grief to their wearer?' - reading over this, it sounds more like a statement than a question. - The most frequent issue appeared to be possessive nouns i.e.: Cheveyo instead of Cheveyo’s, and this stallions instead of stallion’s). - Some sentences were run-on or fragmented and there were frequent tense changes. - Muscular hind limbs threw the creamy mass of the draft stallion fort – threw should be through - under the masculines hooves – should be possessive masculine’s - but in quite a different style to this stallions – should be possessive “this stallion’s” - uncomfortable in the smaller stallions presence – should be possessive “stallion’s” - sound coming from Cheveyos – should be possessive “Cheveyo’s” - The noise that came from those adornments must cause some grief to their wearer? – this does not need to be a question, this reads as a statement. - Things didn't go to plan though – tense change plan should be planned. - by Cheveyo, and not only just his rump. – do not need both only and just here - the spring air on open wound – should be spring air on AN open wound - At this point, Thor didn't care where he hit Cheveyo, as long as he did, to trample the brute into the dust would bring the golden dunalino great pleasure at this point of time – run on sentence. - the golden beast had every attention in causing as much damage as he possibly could. – should be “had every intention” - the cave where the wind can't blow them. – should be “where the wind couldn’t blow them” tense change. Realism: 13 Comments: - Thor's horror, Cheveyo made his knees buckle. Thor managed with great difficulty, to hold himself up as the smaller stallions teeth slid down his neck, tearing a seven-centimetre wide ribbon of flesh from his nape – this doesn’t make sense, did he fall or not? - Attacks and responses to attacks were otherwise realistic. - I liked that Thor took into account the height difference. Roman also did not assume the hit had landed and left plenty of opportunity for a dodge to have happened. - Great detail to the injuries and their possible effects. - Wicca's third attack (the charge) had me thinking they were a lot closer, not giving Thor the opportunity to just stare at him. - First attack seemed good, the only thing I would say is elaborate a bit more on the 'launched', did he run? jump? kinda clarify the body movement so there aren't assumptions made, my initial instinct was to think he jumped 3 meters (nearly 10 feet) to attack Cheveyo which did not make sense, considering you stated prior that he 'shifted his hind daggers, planting them firmly'. Going into post 2, I see where you say 'mid-leap' which I deducted because again, in retrospect an 18.2 hand horse is approx 6 feet 8 inches tall, the leap would be nearly two of him foot to withers from a stand still. - Seeing him use his height/weight advantage was good, planting himself against the smaller opponent's attack. - Second attack seemed realistic in nature. - (Hobbling forward, Thor moved up alongside the painted Warrior, taking care to make sure they didn't touch.) Slightly power-playing, the wording is assuming Cheveyo is not moving away from him in any fashion. Other than that the actual attack was realistic. - (The hit to Thor's chin will cause minor swelling, making talking and eating slightly painful for a couple of days, the cut will heal just fine.) You have this both in your post, and in your account for injuries. During the heat of the battle he should not be able to gauge the injury that thoroughly. Movement: 12.5 Comments: - For the most part, Thor reacted very well and played off of the attacks Cheveyo made. There are a few confusing parts for his movement, such as his near inability to support his weight or move but still managing to make an attack or quick movement. - I appreciated Roman's detail to the injuries and how they hindered Thor's attacks. - Took into account the height difference. - Dodge from the throat attack seemed realistic. - Overall movement of Thor in comparison was good to Cheveyo, you utilized the height advantage while being aware of the downfalls of this as well. - On Cheveyo's first attack, your post reads that Cheveyo's kick "sent thor to the ground" which to me reads as he went down complete, but your notes state that he went down to his knees. Just adding descriptors of how he landed can help with confusion there. Completion of the Form: 15 Comments: - Form was filled out in each post with description of injuries verses health drainage.
