Ranks Explained

The Dark King & Queen – The King and the Queen.

Royal Heir - Their children created and born while both on throne

Duke/ Duchess – Also known as beta. They are to watch over the herd if the King and Queen leave the Kingdom. Does not have to be mates. Answers to the King & Queen.

Advisors to the Throne - select equines with valuable knowledge that may aid the King and Queen in decision making.

The heavy right & savage left hands - chosen equines who will undertake specific tasks set by the King and Queen, they answer only to the King and Queen.

The King & Queen's Guard: Separate factions with separate heads, the handpicked heads act as advisors and protectors to the throne. The first port of call during violence or threat of. Answers to the King & Queen when required.

The Guards: Most trusted soldiers that will accompany the royal pairing at their request or the request of the Heads of the Guard. Protection for the monarchs and the herd. Answers to the King & Queen when required.

The Healers - a select group of horses who have been trained to aid the herd in times of need and heal members of the royal herd. Their knowledge and aid may extend only to those in The Howling Keep and Dark Kingdom.

Herd Mares & Stallions - commoners who reside under the rule of the King and Queen.

Babes – Foals that live in the herd, children of herd members or not.

The Allied - those who have formed an alliance with the dark kingdom and are therefore safe from harm.

The Enemies - enemies of the crown/alliance

The Captives - those who have been stolen or kept for pleasure of the dark King and Queen.

**BY RESIDING WITHIN THE DARK KINGDOM/CLAIMING OR OWNING A LAND, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY**

[*] First and foremost, by owning a land beneath the Dark Kingdom, it is expected that the loyalty of herds and their leads are to the King and Queen alone. This is non-negotiable. The only caveat to this is if the royal pair formally annouce such a change. The ruling pair reserve the right to invoke punishments akin to those used for treason should this come to light.

[*] Each Dark mainland is required to abide by the rules that are put in place, and if these rules are breached or refused then the land that they own is subject to being removed or having a different ruler be provided. Banishment/exile from the dark kingdoms may be implemented if the King and Queen see fit.

[*] ALL herd leaders under the dark alliance are instantly put in place for the Dark Council.

[*] Due to the war, activity requirements have now changed and an activity check has been implemented. Please refer to that thread for activity expectations.

[*] No other alliance is allowed to rule within the dark alliance. There is no exception. It is called the Dark Kingdom for a reason and any manipulation of this rule will not be tolerated.

[*] Until further notice, horses from other alliances must be screened and the royals informed of their residence, unless held as a slave. This is to reduce harm to the dark alliance in the form of rats/spies etc.

[*] If a dark mainland comes up to be claimed keep an eye out for an open claiming audition post that will be posted by one of the Royals. This thread will be open for 1 month and will consist of a questionnaire and/or post. This is to help expedite lands in the claiming process. If an equine wishes to challenge an active Dark mainland they are free to do so without prior permission from the King and Queen.

[*] In the event of a personal Royal Visit, the leads have two weeks to respond to the call. After that time limit, the leads may potentially be removed. However, if notified that both leads are absent, the beta may be implemented as temporary lead to attend the meeting in their place. The temporary lead may only be implemented for three months.

[*] If the claimant of a main land is deemed as untrustworthy, a threat or a newcomer to the alliance, the King and Queen retain the right to put them to trial prior to granting them the lands. The trial will be held in a similar fashion as to those held for removing land leaders.

[*] Activity of main land owners must be kept up. We expect to see the lands actively posted in and a presence of the dark alliance around Wild Equines.

[*] Land leaders must attend meetings as much as possible. Although it is not a requirement to do so, negative trends will be noted. Repeated absences will result in revoking of their position within the council and taxes may be implemented.

[*] Acts of treason against the crown will not be tolerated. These will result in permanent exile from the Dark Kingdom, permanent imprisonment, mutilation or death. Treasonous acts include but are not limited to conspiring against the royals, attempting to murder the King or Queen, stealing the King or Queen, trafficking the King or Queen, delivering sensitive information to enemies. Stealing from Royal court or a council member is also considered an act of treason. If your character steals one of these individuals out of ignorance, then you have the chance to request a trial.

[*] Both land owners need to be active.

[*] If your land leader has been removed due to inactivity, we ask that they are not reinstated for 6 months afterwards. This is to allow a potential new lead to take their place and increase the land activity.

[*] Should your Dark-alliance member fall in bad graces of the crown, they may have the option to redeem themselves by completing a specific task for the Crown.
