Gavin wondered if the Freelands would stay dangerous or become ever more enmeshed within the battles raging due to the war between Utopia and the Underworld. The Eacarrah herd lead had thrown his support behind Utopia, and gladly. Utopia had sent a Guardian Angel to protect his land, and that angel had brought a Versai to cleanse his lands of fire once the Helkaer who had attacked his land had set it. Utopia was owed his loyalty for what they had done. That was as simple as it got. Gavin would fight for as long as there was a proper role for him in the war. And hopefully, eventually, Utopia would emerge victorious, as they should. He would tell his herd soon of his picked side. He would not judge those who supported the Underworld, but it could make them difficult to stay in his herd. It troubled Gavin, as he was meant to be in the Neutral Kingdom. He could only hope his herd and his King would understand.
For today’s wandering – as Gavin found himself increasingly doing so, the more to relax and escape herd duties temporarily – the silver buckskin tobiano chose Femiet Beach. The waves along the shore were calming, and horses of all alliances tended to mingle there. That could, of course, mean running into a supporter of the Underworld – and should they ask Gavin who he supported, the answer would be Utopia. Gavin would not hide it. He was done hiding. The raid on his lands had changed him, made him bolder and more confident in his leadership. He still wavered sometimes, given that he had not been born into the role that he assumed, but he was far more confident now than he had been two years ago, when he’d first assumed leadership of his mother’s herd and his sister’s birthright. Neither of them, nor his brother, had been heard from for years. Gavin led the lands in their stead, and he would continue to lead them should they ever return. He’d been a herd lead for more than half his young life.
Due to herd duties, it was late when Gavin finally made his way to Fermiet Beach – early evening, to be precise. Gavin welcomed the coolness of the night on his skin, stretching out luxuriously as he stepped along the sand. His silver mane almost blended into the night, his violet eyes a star in the darkness. The sun was setting, almost blinding Gavin as he rounded a bend of the beach, coming face to face with a startling creature – gray, too, with white, different colored eyes, and, most strikingly, inverted pentagrams on both shoulders that shone even within the night. The horse was muscular, long legged, and appeared deadly. Gavin stiffened, drawing back slightly, creating some more space. He kept the same pace, hoping to quietly pass the other horse. He seemed like a Dark type, an Underworld supporter, but who was Gavin to immediately judge? He’d rather get away from here as quickly as possible…but to avoid making that obvious, Gavin kept the same pace as he leisurely paced forward, ears tuned to see if the other would make a move…

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain The air around him was cool. It was not going to be a warm night. The sunlight no longer lingered as the sun began to sink below the horizon. He was unfazed by the cool air. Walking along Femiet Beach, alone, Kero Scene was debating how best to go about his plans for the Ghosts. War had been declared, by Rasa no less, and he wanted to bring chaos in the name of the Underworld to the land of Wild Equines. He was sure that Xerxes and Teca would want that. Why wouldn't they? There was no reason to not bring chaos, especially during war. It would rally the troops and make the Utopian scum and their supporters cower away from it all. But first, he had to decide where to strike first. The Light Kingdom? The Neutral Kingdom? Vigilum? Versai? He debated bringing down the Vigilum first, to take the healers out of commission for a while, allowing more injuries to fester and rot. He was still paying attention to his surroundings, but was allowing himself to delve deeper into his thoughts as well. His ears constantly twitched, picking up the sound of approaching footsteps from ahead of him, just around the bend, the faint shuffling of hooves through sand. His eyes focused forward as he walked, wondering if this might bring him an ally or an enemy around the bend. The large grullo overo's eyes were predatory as he walked onward, bringing himself slowly out of his thoughts as himself and the stranger both rounded the bend at the same time. Kero Scene took note of the way the other stallion shrank back subtly, giving Kero more space, and had Kero been the type to show emotion, he would be grinning maliciously. Instead, he just not so subtly stepped closer to the stranger, multi-hued eyes boring into him. His muscles tensed, ready to attack, but first - he had to be sure. "Which side do you stand for?" he asked, his voice low and deadly, dripping with venom and insanity. "Peace or chaos?" Utopia or Underworld? Life or Death? He gave no introduction, no name. He saw no reason to give either. This was war, and if this beach patron couldn't handle that, well, then he just shouldn't be here. Note for staff: We're turning this into a battle starting with my next post - 5 hits 2 dodges 5 days to reply. They're going to rough each other up pretty bad XD Winner will leave the loser to die (loser will get rescued by a Vigilum and returned to their herd/respective side and healed up).

Gavin stiffened as the stallion he was trying to pass did exactly what the young herd lead most feared. The stranger stepped towards him, closing the distance and meeting Gavin’s violet gaze with no sign of fear in his own. Gavin couldn’t pass now, not with the stranger close enough to be almost directly in his way. The Neutral stallion slowed his pace to a crawl, aiming to adjust course and brush past the stranger. Maybe if Gavin made it clear he wasn’t interested in conversation, this other horse would leave him alone. All thoughts of being able to leave fled him, though, as the stranger spoke. Each word dripped with deadly intention and the promise of violence. Which side do you stand for? Peace or chaos? Within two heartbeats of the stranger’s words, Gavin processed that a horse this confrontational could only be with the Underworld – the wrong side. The opposite side. And to the violence that this horse oozed from his very being, there could only be one answer. Gavin was not a stranger to combat, not since the Helkaer had invaded Eacarrah. Gavin’s battle experience came from that fight, and from the one time he’d visited Vojorn and asked for assistance after a herd member had been stolen. He knew he was a fast learner, mainly out of necessity – when he’d taken over Eacarrah after a life spent preparing for anything but that role, he’d had to learn on the job, and fast. Battling was different, but he had still learned from his fight with the Helkaer mare who’d attacked his home. He’d noticed how fearless she was in her movements, and how that had allowed her to capitalize on his hesitation born of inexperience. Such hesitation would cost him dearly with this opponent, who clearly had no issues picking a fight. That spoke of experience and confidence. Gavin had neither, but what he did have was the will to survive this fight and stand for what was right. He had a herd to lead, defend, and protect. He could not fall here, not to this supporter of the Underworld.
The three year old mentally thanked his opponent for already closing the space between them as he continued his slow walk forward. He looked past the other horse, as though the stranger didn’t matter to him and his words weren’t worth answering. From what he’d seen of the stranger’s personality so far, Gavin hoped ignoring him would be infuriating to the point that the other would lose all rationality – and with that, hopefully become sloppy once this battle began. Gavin would also use his walk as an opportunity to continue closing the distance…and if the stranger was especially infuriated, perhaps that moment would come sooner.
The moment came when Gavin decided the distance was just right. The young horse suddenly lunged towards the somewhat taller stallion, teeth bared, feeling the sand slow his movements slightly and mentally cursing as he hoped the surprise attack would grant him some sort of advantage. Gavin lunged for whatever part of the stallion he could reach, ideally aiming to latch onto a bit of shoulder above either of the stallion’s front legs. If Gavin could sink his teeth in and tear, he might be able to hinder the stranger’s movements a bit, which would be very helpful in tipping the scales in Gavin’s inexperienced favor.

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain Name: Kero Scene / Lord Ghost Breed: Paint x Thoroughbred x Mustang x Trakhner x Belgian Age: 8 years Gender: Stallion Height: 16 hh Alliance: Dark Health: 95% This other brute was slightly shorter than him. Kero Scene noted that detail quickly as he surveyed the silent stranger. When he'd asked his question, there had been no reply. Did he think he was being sneaky, remaining silent while stalking toward the leader of the Ghosts? Was it an attempt to get under the Devil worshipper's skin? It would take much more than that. Kero had gone through extensive training to control his emotions, to not let them hinder him. So while this stranger tip-toed closer, slow and steady, Kero's breathing remained even. His eyes continued to watch, taking in every little detail. He noticed how the younger stallion did not quite look at him, looking past him, as if he were just going to walk on by - but Kero could see his muscles growing taunt, coiling like a snake ready to strike. The draft-built behemoth stay still, waiting, and when at last the stranger launched his attack, Kero Scene was ready. The experienced fighter braced himself for impact as the youth came with teeth bared, His ears laid back against his head, protecting them from possible damage as he lowered his cranium, shoving himself forward as teeth snapped at his right shoulder. He felt the pinch of teeth and then the tear of the skin. He did not react to the pain, seeking to sink his teeth into the left forearm of the stranger. His teeth did not just seek to pinch and bruise and break the skin but to tear it straight from the bone. At this angle, it wasn't the best grip, but Kero had fought in worse circumstances before. He would make it work. Should he be able to meet his mark, it was going to take more than a squeal or a shove to get him to release his target. He was like a rabid animal, eager to maim and kill. This boy would be lucky to walk away from this without any major injuries. Kero did not fight fair, he never had and he never would. He would go for each and every weak spot that the brute had, seeking to immobilize him completely. Tagged: Sunfrost Words: 361 Character: Kero SceneNotes: Off we go! The irony tang of blood in his mouth was the taste of success. Gavin latched on to the stranger’s right shoulder, intending to tear as much as he could. He was surprised and pleased with himself for landing the strike, but was utterly unprepared as the stallion apparently sprang forward with a strike of his own. Gavin felt teeth latch into his left front leg, firmer than he was prepared for. The young horse hadn’t felt pain quite like this before – the other stallion was clearly aiming to maim him. Squealing, and inadvertently losing his grip on the stallion’s right shoulder in the process, Gavin whirled away from the stranger. Gavin attempted to turn towards his left so as to get his left shoulder as far from the other stallion as possible, and hopefully prevent the injury from deepening further. He felt his flesh tear further as he moved and did not like the sensation one bit, but fear of what he had just gotten into motivated him to do it anyway. Gavin should have expected it from such a menacing looking stallion – of course this horse knew how to fight, and Gavin was but a foal before him in terms of experience. From this one strike, the three year old already felt panicked and that he was likely outmatched. How was he to win?
Even as these thoughts ran through his head as he turned away from the stranger, Gavin instinctively bucked out with his hind legs. Bucking was a great way to create distance, and Gavin wanted nothing more than distance from this other horse right now. He’d figure out the rest later. The adrenaline pumping through his veins likely helped with ignoring the likely soon-to-be-throbbing pain in his left front leg, though Gavin did notice that his buck was harder to execute due to the muscular weakness apparently accompanying this injury. Regardless, Gavin hoped that at least one or both of his flying back hooves would hit the stranger somewhere. Gavin was shorter than the other, and therefore his hooves were most likely to hit the other horse in the chest, at the bottom of his barrel, or perhaps somewhere on the stranger’s legs, depending on how the stranger had moved since Gavin’s attempt to dislodge himself from the other’s teeth.
The move meant turning his back on the stranger – a dangerous idea, as it inhibited Gavin’s ability to see where the stranger would be coming from next. However, it would hopefully protect his very injured left front leg from being targeted again, at least for a little bit, and Gavin desperately needed that little bit of time. His thoughts raced, becoming increasingly jumbled. From his one panicked battlefield experience, Gavin knew he needed to calm down – but this early into the fight, and with a wound already, it was very difficult to do so.
Name: Gavin Breed: Akhal Teke x American Quarter Horse x Andalusian x Clydesdale x Rocky Mountain Horse x Spanish Mustang Age: 3 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1hh Alliance: Neutral Health: 90% - Deep tear in left front leg that is bleeding freely and will start to inhibit movement as the battle progresses
Hits: 2/5 Dodges: 0/2 Attack Notes: - Gavin is turning to his left and bucking out with his back legs. The buck is a bit low and more likely to hit Kero Scene’s barrel, legs, or chest, though could hit Kero Scene’s head if his head is still lowered

fleabittengray absolutely, I am down to do the fight still! Can we still list out health/injuries with each post even if we don't do the battle form? Easier to track that way and luckily for Kero Scene, I have a Vigilum all set to heal him up after <3

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain Name: Kero Scene / Lord Ghost Breed: Paint x Thoroughbred x Mustang x Trakhner x Belgian Age: 8 years Gender: Stallion Height: 16 hh Alliance: Dark Health: 85% The boy squealed as Kero Scene's teeth latched upon his front limp. Kero felt a surge of satisfaction jolt through him, like fire or electricity. He did not let go, clamping down harder, as hard as he could. Had the brute not turned himself to the left, tearing his own flesh open on Kero's teeth, the Ghost would not have let go at all. Once his maw was free, he spat upon the earth and cackled - maniacal, crazed. He licked the blood from his lips, bits of flesh and hair caught between his teeth, and bared them in a wicked grin at his opponent. He stepped forward, his right shoulder down to his hoof drenched in scarlet. He's panicking. I can smell his fear. Kero, however, was not afraid. All he felt was the adrenaline. He did not even pay any mind to the pain in his shoulder, though he knew if he wasn't careful, he would only do more damage to it. He would have to mind his movements and not get carried away. When the enemy turned and began his retreat, kicking back with his hind limbs in retaliation, Kero managed to keep his head out of the way of the blow. His chest, however, took a direct hit. The blow took his breath away, a rough snort rushing out of his nares as he stumbled backward. The kick was powerful and though it last but a second, hooves against flesh, he could already feel the area beginning to swell and bruise. Once he could breathe again, he took a deep inhale and let out a feral and shrill whinny as he charged after the other brute. The tear in his shoulder opened wider, spilling more blood as he forced himself to push through the pain. The bruising in his chest was screaming at him to not move so recklessly, to give him a moment to truly catch his breath, but Kero Scene was mad now. Jaws parted, teeth reaching, the bleeding brute did his best to land an attack somewhere between the enemies croup and the dock of his tail. This would not be a blow that hindered much movement, if it handed, but my god would it sting. And Kero Scene wanted this stranger to hurt. He wanted him to suffer. Foolish boy, going up against Lord Ghost instead of running away when he had the chance... This opponent was insane. Blood seemed to be everywhere, and yet it seemed like he was enjoying himself. How was that possible? He was cackling over there, caked in blood, and Gavin felt like he had gotten in way over his head. Satisfaction bled through his panic when his hooves thudded into the enemy, making solid contact. Gavin snorted in satisfaction around his panting breaths, glancing over his shoulder to see the enemy stumbling backwards, clearly knocked off balance. Should he capitalize on that? The opponent showed his apparent immunity to pain, though, whinnying before charging at Gavin. If he hadn’t been so full of adrenaline and worried for himself, Gavin would have felt nothing but shock. Was this horse immune to pain? Did he not feel his own injuries?
Thankfully, Gavin’s lookback gave him the reaction time he needed. As the enemy charged forward, so did Gavin – though truthfully, it was more like a skitter. Gavin threw his hindquarters to the side and away, trying his best to pivot on his front hooves and keep his eyes on his opponent the whole time. The movement wrenched his muscles, the strain strong as his left front leg protested the weight, but Gavin did his best to ignore it. The other horse was insane, all teeth lunging just to bite at something. Gavin managed to dodge this blow with his quick thinking – and luck, admittedly, given he had looked back to see whether his attack had landed.
That meant he had a chance now to capitalize on his own. Gavin’s pivot had landed his torso perpendicular to this horse. He had a clear view, and a potentially clear shot. Gavin lunged forward, welcoming his opponent’s proximity for once, teeth reaching towards the horse’s right shoulder. Gavin hoped he’d be able to lodge his teeth there and deepen the existing injury. The pain in his left leg from his own injury, and the slightly inhibiting ache that was accompanying it and growing stronger by the minute, made him think he had only a little bit more time left to inhibit his opponent’s movement on his own. If he could deepen his injury, maybe they’d both be inhibited and able to stumble out of here. At this point in time, Gavin felt like he was fighting for his life. He’d be relieved to climb out of here in one piece, armed with his own life, and he was determined to not fall to this…creature.
Name: Gavin Breed: Akhal Teke x American Quarter Horse x Andalusian x Clydesdale x Rocky Mountain Horse x Spanish Mustang Age: 3 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1hh Alliance: Neutral Health: 88% - Deep tear in left front leg that is bleeding freely; minus 2% due to deep muscle strain from continued movement, that is starting to inhibit and make further movement hurt more
Hits: 3/5 - Lunged towards right shoulder in attempt to bite and tear - Low buck with back legs towards Kero Scene’s barrel, legs, chest, and/or head - Pivoting and lunging towards Kero Scene’s existing right shoulder bite, hoping to bite into there, deepen the wound, and further inhibit movement
Dodges: 1/2 - Gavin dodged Kero Scene’s attempt to take a chunk out of Gavin’s croup/dock area, as he was looking back at an opportune time and managed to pivot his back legs away

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain Name: Kero Scene / Lord Ghost Breed: Paint x Thoroughbred x Mustang x Trakhner x Belgian Age: 8 years Gender: Stallion Height: 16 hh Alliance: Dark Health: 80% The setting of the sun was making it darker here in Femiet Beach and the golden sands beneath their hooves was becoming mixed with their blood. It was becoming more and more difficult to judge him movements correctly, to place his feet correctly, because of the torn shoulder and the bruising to his chest. Still, Kero Scene was running on adrenaline and the fight wasn't nearly over yet. His opponent was showing his pain and fear much more then Kero Scene was. Then again, Kero wasn't afraid. He had no fear, not of death, not of anything. The only fear he had was failure - failing the Lord and Lady of the Underworld. He would want to make sure that no matter what, he did something to promote a win for Xerxes and Teca. One way or another. The sight of the youth skittering away, like a helpless bug, as Kero lunged at him made him snarl in annoyance. A missed hit! His teeth snapped against nothing, only air, clacking together loudly. The other was lucky that the hit had missed, otherwise he would have sought to exact a pound of flesh from the boy! Kero slowed his pace, trying to gather his feet beneath him. He was starting to feel the ache in his chest, and the bleeding from his right shoulder still trickled gently from time to time. And it was that very same right shoulder that his opponent now reached for. The grullo overo let out an angry bellow as teeth sank into the pre-existing injury. Instead of trying to tear his leg away, Kero reached out with his own teeth again. It was a bit of a stretch, especially with the ache in his chest, but if the brute did not let go of his shoulder, he would find himself with Kero's teeth sinking firming into his withers. The re-opened wound on his right shoulder was bleeding profusely now, and his leg was screaming, wanting to give out. He would have to go to Snake when he got home to ask about healing. That would would definitely risk infection. Success! Much to Gavin’s surprise, he tasted the salty tang of blood as his teeth sank into the crazy horse’s shoulder. His opponent’s resounding bellow would have taken Gavin more by surprise if his teeth weren’t firmly lodged in the injury, deepening it as much as he could. Triumph flared in Gavin’s chest. Maybe he’d actually be able to survive this! Gavin wondered how long he should stay there, teeth dug into this horse’s shoulder, but he also didn’t want to lose the feeling of victory thundering its way through his veins. He wanted to savor every moment of this, of landing such a square hit on this other horse. Within a few seconds, though, Gavin realized this was actually a bad idea, as he felt teeth sink into his withers.
Gavin would have snarled if he was a predatory animal capable of doing so. As it was, he screeched like a bird, the grip of his teeth in the stranger’s shoulder lessening as he bellowed his pain for all to hear. The withers were thankfully a non-vital part of his body, and Gavin thought the bite was shallow – maybe this was a stretch for the stranger to reach? – but it still hurt so, so much. Gavin’s teeth were buried in the stranger’s right shoulder, and that meant the stranger’s teeth were buried in the left side of Gavin’s withers. It was Gavin’s left front leg that was bleeding freely; he didn’t have any mobility there. To move to his right, his only available option, Gavin would need to use his left front leg to pivot on. It was going to hurt, but what other choice did he have?! He couldn’t stay here with this horse’s mouth embedded in his flesh! Dislodging his teeth completely, squealing, Gavin pivoted on his left front leg, feeling the pain and strain his left front leg and trying to ignore it. He moved his hindquarters simultaneously, hopefully dislodging the stranger’s mouth in the process.
Just to make sure of it, the silver buckskin tobiano kicked out with his back right leg – the leg off the ground as he pivoted – kicking once, twice, three times, as many as times as he could manage while pivoting. He was hoping to hit whatever he could – the horse’s chest, his legs, anything that would make him let go and injure him in the process. Gavin also hoped he’d be able to get out of this battle soon. Both of them were looking worse for the wear, but the fight hadn’t stopped yet. How long until it finally ended? How much more of this could he take?! The three year old didn’t know, but imagined he would be approaching his limit quite soon.

Hits: 4/5 - Lunged towards right shoulder in attempt to bite and tear - Low buck with back legs towards Kero Scene’s barrel, legs, chest, and/or head - Pivoting and lunging towards Kero Scene’s existing right shoulder bite, hoping to bite into there, deepen the wound, and further inhibit movement - Pivoting towards the right and kicking out with back right leg as doing so, hoping to hit Kero Scene in the leg or chest or anywhere he can reach as well as dislodge Kero Scene’s teeth

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain Name: Kero Scene / Lord Ghost Breed: Paint x Thoroughbred x Mustang x Trakhner x Belgian Age: 8 years Gender: Stallion Height: 16 hh Alliance: Dark Health: 80% The pain was starting to overtake the adrenaline rush he was feeling. Kero Scene was starting to feel tired. Weak. He wanted to end this battle, to bury this boy beneath the sand - dead and done with. But he was still putting up quite an impressive fight, for a little bug. He screeched in pain when Kero's teeth sank down upon the left side of his withers, some blood dripping into the Underworld follower's mouth. Once he found his attack had hit, Kero did his best to sink his teeth in as deeply as he could. The withers were not a critical hit, but at this point, with the both of them drench in blood, a hit was still a hit, regardless of where it was. A wound was a wound. Perhaps this brute did not have proper access to those that could heal, outside of the Vigilum. Kero was lucky to have Snake. Kero knew he was starting to weaken and exhaust himself when he could not maintain his grip on his enemy when they started to wiggle away. His teeth dislodged from the boy's withers, and Kero was left with bloodied lips and teeth stained red. He let out a hiss of annoyance and pain, but was given no time to say anything to antagonize his opponent as the boy pivoted away with a squeal, a back hoof kicking out toward Kero Scene. Normally so graceful and perfect with his movements, now, Kero was clumsy as he danced away from the attack. He stumbled, his right shoulder giving out beneath him for a moment. Rage seared through him. How dare this boy hurt him enough to make him falter in his steps! Panting heavily, fire in his eyes, and blood still trickling quite heavily from his right shoulder, Kero Scene let out another bellowing scream. Perhaps the cry would frighten the boy. They were both tired, and Kero doubted this mongrel had the training needed to push through it much longer. Shoving himself forward in a somewhat wobbling charge toward the other man, Kero hoped to ram into his left side and unbalance him. Ideally, he wanted to knock the bastard down into the sand, where he could continue to trample him. Kero could bash his skull open then, if given the chance. It would cause pain to his already bruised chest, but pain was temporary. All he had to do was be able to make it back home. Hoping to cause just a bit more discomfort toward the other, during his charge, Kero yet again reached his teeth toward the boy. He hoped to bite anywhere along the spine. It would be uncomfortable, it would hurt, and with some luck it could even do further damage to nerves. It was unlikely, sure, but... Kero was getting sloppy. He knew it. He would suffer the consequences of that later. Tagged: Sunfrost w/ Gavin Words: 481 Character: Kero SceneNotes: Sorry it's not great! Horrible hot flash rn. Gavin didn’t know if his desperate back kick hit anything. The enraged, primal scream that tore from his opponent’s throat seemed to indicate that he had hit something, but the young horse knew not what. The cry was frightening, and if not for the adrenaline of battle and the overwhelming desire to survive thrumming through his veins Gavin was certain he would have fled. He just needed to last for one…more…hit, if he could, and then perhaps the other horse would somehow be too injured or too exhausted or too something and Gavin could just get the hell away. He wasn’t prepared or trained for this fight.
Gavin twisted around on his hindquarters, unable to bear the thought of the other horse closing in on him. He was greeted with the sight of the other horse barreling towards him. The charge was wobbly to Gavin’s violet eyes, and it was that that saved him. Gavin shoved himself to the right, trying his best to keep weight off his steadily weakening and strained left front leg. If his opponent had been going any faster, Gavin would have been toast; as it was, Gavin’s strain was enough to help him dodge the other horse’s running charge. It wasn’t neat, it wasn’t pretty, but the silver buckskin tobiano would take what he could get right now. A dodge was a dodge. As he moved, Gavin felt warm breath flutter across his back moments before he got out of range. Blinking his eyes tiredly, muscles shaking, Gavin realized he had likely just dodged a nasty bite along his spinal column.
Suddenly enraged – he truly hadn’t asked for this! – Gavin roared and charged forward himself, barely supporting himself as she ran at the other horse. He was no true match physically, but Gavin found himself not caring. He lowered his head, bared his right shoulder, and prepared to hopefully ram into this stranger’s chest. His goal would be to knock the breath of this horse and shove him backwards or down, anything would do. Gavin put all of his remaining strength into the ram, knowing that after this he would flee the scene. He simply couldn’t keep fighting, and he truly hoped this final hit would bring about the end of this battle. This was exactly what Gavin had been hoping to avoid, but he was in the war now, and perhaps this would be the first step of getting used to what that actually meant.
Name: Gavin Breed: Akhal Teke x American Quarter Horse x Andalusian x Clydesdale x Rocky Mountain Horse x Spanish Mustang Age: 3 Gender: Stallion Height: 15.1hh Alliance: Neutral Health: 78% - Deep tear in left front leg that is bleeding freely; minus 2% due to deep muscle strain from continued movement, that is starting to inhibit and make further movement hurt more; minus further 5% from quick, painful pivot later on in fight - Medium to light depth bite wound in withers; the wound is more painful than anything else, and does not inhibit movement
Hits: 5/5 - Lunged towards right shoulder in attempt to bite and tear - Low buck with back legs towards Kero Scene’s barrel, legs, chest, and/or head - Pivoting and lunging towards Kero Scene’s existing right shoulder bite, hoping to bite into there, deepen the wound, and further inhibit movement - Pivoting towards the right and kicking out with back right leg as doing so, hoping to hit Kero Scene in the leg or chest or anywhere he can reach as well as dislodge Kero Scene’s teeth - Ran forward, head lowered, right shoulder bared in attempt to ram into Kero Scene from the front, knocking the breath out of him and shoving him either backwards and/or down
Dodges: 2/2 - Gavin dodged Kero Scene’s attempt to take a chunk out of Gavin’s croup/dock area, as he was looking back at an opportune time and managed to pivot his back legs away - Gavin dodged the running charge and biting teeth of Kero’s attack by dodging the charge and getting out of range
tagged// fleabittengray notes// That wraps things on my end, I think - final post of the battle! I guess one response with what Kero Scene did and then an aftermath post? Thank you so much for your patience with me <3

Baby go ahead, I'll be your hatred and your pain Name: Kero Scene / Lord Ghost Breed: Paint x Thoroughbred x Mustang x Trakhner x Belgian Age: 8 years Gender: Stallion Height: 16 hh Alliance: Dark Health: 78% Kero Scene felt his movements hindered by his injuries. They were not severe, the most worrisome was the bite to his right shoulder which was now bleeding freely down his leg. Splatters of blood were cast upon the sand and across both of the stallion's bodies. The leader of the Ghosts was determined to find this son of a bitch again and bring him to his knees. He did not like being bested, by anyone. In fact, it hardly ever happened. Must be beginner's luck, he thought bitterly to himself, because by this fool's movements, he had no or very little experience with fighting. He was just getting lucky - but luck did not last. Not in war. Not in life. Not in anything. So as the shorter hellion spun to face him, Kero's lips were drawn into a snarl, and he was expecting to collide with him, to send him skidding across the sand below. That did not happen. No; instead the mongrel somehow managed to get away, putting just enough distance between them for Kero to not make any hits. Enraged, his teeth snapping at empty air, Kero hissed in defeat. He clenched his teeth together, clumsily pivoting himself around as the other male's scream rang out through the air. Kero's eyes narrowed and, panting, he made himself face the brute head on. He had not expected the bloodied stallion to come charging at him. Of course, arrogant as he was, even while injured, Kero expected to be able to get away, to doge, but as he put weight on his left foreleg, his bruised chest area screamed at him in agony and he faltered and he instinctively went to place more weight on his right foreleg instead. The shoulder gave out on him. He managed to catch himself, ears pinned. The mistake had cost his dearly, as his enemy's charge met him almost directly. The enemy came slamming into Kero Scene's chest with his right shoulder, knocking the wind from his lungs and sending the grullo overo stallion careening backwards. Years of training kept him from panicking, but still - not being able to breathe, even just for a moment, was not something anyone wanted to experience. Momentarily dazed, Kero bared his teeth wolfishly but he knew - he could fight no more. Not today. Tagged: Sunfrost w/ Gavin Words: 385 Character: Kero SceneNotes: And that's a wrap! As stated before, Gavin is the auto winner of this battle since I didn't reply on time in a previous reply. Would love to have these two meet up again at some point!
