What had happened to her was beyond her control. And to be quite frank, she wasn't sure how it currently affected her.
Her soul had belonged to the Underworld for years. She had traded it for their aid, both her soul as well as the one of her daughter's. This was back when it had been required to provide payment to the Underworld so that the brotherhood could utilize the power of the flame. If Sly really had given a damn about it, she would have tried to relieve her soul from its containment in hell long ago… But she hadn't. As far as she was aware, she had not been affected by this transaction as a mortal. She understood that when it came time for her to die, her soul being owned by the Underworld meant that she would immediately make her way there, already belonging to them in one way or another. With her soul now passing to the opposing realm, this would mean she would be guided the other way. But what, in reality, did that mean?
Was this supposed to be a slight to Sly, being that it was her soul that was taken? Or against Xerxes, being that it was he who had previously held it in his possession? Whatever the case, Sly entirely intended on finding out what game Rasa was playing. Sly had no intention of dying any time soon, but she would be foolish to think she was invincible, and that she would escape death forever. To leave her future uncertain, to risk being kept in Utopia if she did meet a perilous fate sooner rather than later, well… That simply could not be, could it? With this in mind, the Helkaer Commander made her way to the serene territory known as Eden. More than anything, she did it because she knew Rasa could not access her powers here. Sly had always detested the idea that there was someone out there who, should they wish, be able to swiftly and easily overpower her. For there were those who possessed forces that were currently untouchable by Sly, and that she had no ability to defend herself against. It was for this reason that Sly had agreed to an alliance with the Underworld - to help her combat these beings, and to provide her protection when they came to fight back. She was not about to give Rasa the satisfaction of lording her powers over Sly more than she already had through the stealing of Sly's soul. And it wasn't as though Sly was physically capable of barging her way into Utopia, and demanding the Lady's attention.
So the malevolent creature, who seemed quite out of the ordinary surrounded by the flower-filled meadows, waited silently amidst the gentle breeze for the Lady of Utopia to to attend to the crimson witch. She would see what this was all about, one way or another.

x RASA The war was progressing more and more each and every day. Time had passed and Wild Equines had not entered the season of winter. Hardships were common in the dreary months already and Rasa worried about her mortal friends and enemies. She hoped to be a point of support and guidance for those that were giving their all for Utopia. It was the least she could do; after all, she had asked them to support her and the angels and so many had stepped forward to openly align themselves with her, Cadence, and the rest of Utopia. However, just as they had friends and allies - there were plenty of enemies to go around. She had targeted one of these enemies with a steal, nabbing her soul from the clutches of the Underworld with surprising ease. It had been almost frighteningly easy to get her hands on Sly's soul. One would think the Underworld would guard something so precious with more intensity - she was, after all, the Commander of the Helkaer - but there had been no attempt to stop her. Had Sly merely gotten lost in the chaos and gone unnoticed? Or were Xerxes and Teca letting the steal happen, to give the false hope of a weakened state? Rasa doubted it. She was expected Sly to arrive in Eden in due time. Rasa had been watching her voyage from the Heaven's, though once she was within the realm of Eden, Rasa knew she would be unable to use her powers to track her down. In Eden, everyone was equal. There was no pain and no power there. It was a place of true neutrality. Peaceful and serene in the chaotic world around them. Rasa liked Eden, but she didn't like being at a bit of a disadvantage when she was there. Not now, at least, when war was raging around every corner. Entering Eden after pinpointing the location of Sly, Rasa walked at a swift pace through the wavering fields of flowers. This place was beautiful, always had been, and brought forth a sense of comfort every time she came here. Relaxed for the first time in a long time, knowing this was the only place she truly could relax, Rasa soon spotted the red woman and let out a polite nicker to announce her own arrival. Her wings tucked neatly against her sides, the war maiden dipped her head in a display of respect as she approached the Commander. Enemy or not, Sly had been loyal to the Helkaer for many years now, and loyalty, she'd found, was hard to come by these days. She respected that. "Hello, Sly," she spoke as she came to a halt a couple of paces away from the mortal woman. "Thank you for your prompt arrival. It is much appreciated."aliyaah w/ Sly 467 | ProfileIt's a whole lotta ramble cuz I just woke up and brain isn't braining quite yet xD 20 years 4 months, early winter, mid-day?, after Act 2 threads, after Boudicca's Coronation

She couldn't help but think about the last several times she had been stolen... Although that had been a matter of the physical sort, and her soul had remained untouched, still safely tucked away in the Underworld. She couldn't imagine that this would be anything like those other times, but the trauma she had endured still forced the memories to the forefront of her mind, ensuring she had not forgotten them. The most recent steal that had been made for her had been by the individual known as Hound, who hadn't taken her out of malice, but rather to get her attention - and he had. Funnily enough, Hound now resided within her own domain. He had proved himself to be the sort of equine that Sly desired to have at her disposal, and he had required a new home base. Still, she recalled approaching his territory with extreme apprehension, her post traumatic stress nearly entirely consuming her. That fear had been created from the time she had been stolen prior to Hound. That time, it had been by the Dark King at the time... Zephyr. Even now, a shiver ran down her spine as she thought of his name - not out of unease, but out of absolute enmity. It was like thinking about him was the way to immediately ignite the fire within her, to bring out her most spiteful self. But she could not pretend that amidst the flames that burned within her, there was still pain. A suffering lingered inside, and it likely always would. Zephyr had taken a part of her that could never be returned, and she hadn't even been offered the justice of paying him back. Between that, and the fact that their child had escaped her, and she couldn't dispose of the one living memory of what had happened between them... The anguish was sure to survive. Despite this all, and even taking into consideration that she and Rasa stood on opposing sides, Rasa would likely never let that happen to Sly. Whatever the winged woman had planned for the Helkaer Commander, Sly knew that that was not something she had to fear. So, the crimson witch felt no unease as the familiar bay vixen came into view, drawing Sly's attention with a polite nicker. The courtesy was not returned, as per usual. Sly never understood why Rasa continued to greet even her most cruel of adversaries with respect - such as with the way she now dipped her dial in a bow. But whatever. "Hello, Sly," Rasa welcomed the Helkaer, then commenting, "Thank you for your prompt arrival. It is much appreciated." Hard mahogany chasms stared back at the other, and she called back plainly, "Rasa." Trying to recall the last time that she and the Utopian had actually spoken with one another, she realized just how much time had passed. "Been a while." Then, addressing Rasa's "appreciation" for Sly's presence, the commander retorted simply, "I'm sure." Finally, almost in a bored matter - although truly, wanting to find out Rasa's intention - the scarred bitch asked, "So, what now?"Tagged - fleabittengray Notes -

x RASA It had been a long time, several months at least, perhaps even a year or so, since she had last had a one on one conversation with the Helkaer Commander. She had seen Sly recently, at Coronations in the mortal world for various Kings and Queens (they all seemed to be dropping like flies these days, it worried her) but Sly and herself had not conversed at any of them. Given that they were enemies, she supposed that could be understood. When at a celebration, most did not want to dampen the mood by associating with those they didn't particularly like. However, Rasa didn't exactly hate Sly. She disliked the Helkaer as a whole, but hatred? That was too strong of a feeling for what she felt for Sly. The Lady of Utopia had respect for the powerful woman, and a tolerance of her as well, but at the current point in time? No hatred. A bit of dislike, or perhaps disapproval was a better word, but hatred hadn't crossed her mind. That being said, she knew that Sly more than likely hated her, or found her completely repulsive, or pathetic - something along those lines, as most aligned with the Underworld seemed to think that Rasa was a manipulative idiot (how one could be both manipulative and an idiot, she didn't know, but regardless). Rasa believed in giving everyone a chance to redeem themselves, unless they did something so atrocious that could never be forgiven. Like Charm, for instance. And her own abusers, Dravos and Antichrist. Those three men she would never forgive. She would never forget, either. "Rasa." Sly greeted her plainly, which was to be expected. She was sure the mare was not happy about her soul being stolen. "Been a while." A twitch of an amused smile came upon her lips. "Indeed." How long exactly she did not remember, but it had been a while for sure. "I'm sure." A brief silence, and then, in a tone that feigned boredom, Sly questioned, "So, what now?" To that, Rasa chuckled. "Well, that depends on you. You can either fight for your freedom, have Xerxes or Teca fight for you, or... we can discuss some other options, if neither of those are good for you. Personally, I would rather not fight you, or even Xerxes or Teca. I would like to avoid bloodshed where possible." A wing ruffled before settling once more against her side. "I am happy to trade information for your release. However, the information needs to be useful - and true. If you get caught in a lie, it will not go unpunished, I'm afraid."aliyaah w/ Sly 438 | ProfileHMMM... 20 years 4 months, early winter, mid-day?, after Act 2 threads, after Boudicca's Coronation
