Peri stood at the border if the Dark Throne. The Howling Keep. He'd stewed long enough over the soectacle they'd made at King Hunroor's coronation. They had tossed the visage of some poor soul that held some significance to his royals. While he was not surprised to witness a Dark equine throw a tantrum, this was a whole other level of unhinged. The tri coloured hessian had been granted the position of Paladin. He was charged with the protection of his King and Queen. This matter seemed to cross that threshold. Peri desired to know what they hoped to achieve, and to gauge out the potential threat they posed to the Light Kingdom. As it currently stood the Light Kingdom had not declared a dedicated side in the war, and so this likely was personal. There was tge option that this was meant to drag them into the war, but he didn't know enough ir care enough to think deeply on that option. As far as he was concerned, this was the most stupid war to involve oneself in. To fight the battles of some undead abominations for an age old feud. His golden eyes scanned the empty terrain in the early light of dawn. The air was chilled here, with a thin layer of snow on the ground. Peri let out a bellow to summon the royals.. Though he'd especially like to speak to their queen who he hadn't seen since their coronation. A coronation his twin had tried to sabotage out of her greed for power. Now Peri wondered if he should have attempted to interfere at all. If they had killed her, she would no longer be his problem to hunt down. The tri coloured stag had not seen her since then. She had been banished to the wilds, no doubt still plotting her ascension to power. A z z y Fallen

Sleep was a harsh mistress as of late - her grey matter persistently working through the darkest of hours to deliver her the most insane of materials. Her grip on right and wrong, truth versus lies, did Selven love her or just the idea of her? For every seed of doubt that was planted in the fertile fields of her psyche, a plague of self righteousness destroyed it. It was her way or the high way, those who stood against her would fall, those that aided her in the victory she so craved would be rewarded. Now with her most recent additions tucked safely in the belly of the Keep, Thomasin still could not relax ebough to sleep. No doubt they were being heavily guarded- as per her instruction, and woe betide the guard who dropped his concentration long enough for the babes, or worse, to take advantage. Thomasin lay upon the pelted flag floor, the hides of fallen wolves and other animals piled several layers deep to provide her some comfort from the icy floor beneath her. Was it decadent? Perhaps, but there had to be some perks to being royalty… with a groan, the mare unfurled her forelimbs from beneath her, hoisting herself from the earth with a vigorous shake. A plume of dust left her, the sediment dissipating into the air as Marduk hopped along his perch overhead. The corvid had taken to resting upon an ancient stag skull suspended above the fireplace, allowing him a perfect view of his ward and those that came and went from her quarters.
Thomasin cast her golden eyes to the large window at the apex of the hall, darkness still ebbed at the rear of the panes, the sun not yet breaching the horizon. Perfect. With a subtle jerk of her jaw, the crow descended from his keep to take purchase upon the curve of the queen's withers as she nosed open the large oak doors. Silence greeted her, as it should given the hour. Without fear or concern, the hag stepped into the ravenous shadows that seemed to ooze from every corner of the castle. To many, it was unnerving, but to her, it reminded her of home, of the darkness of the asylum, of the warmth of her father. A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips, her path towards the main gates chosen as those guards that were awake opened the doors. Marduk took flight into the starry abyss as the cold slapped her in the face. It stole her breath, her skin tightened without thought and her winter fur seemed to thicken slightly. Inhaling the crisp air deeply, Thomasin smiled to herself as the bitter air was felt electrifying her being. Snow had fallen overnight and even the witch queen could not deny the innocent thrill she felt as she placed her hoof in the unmarred flakes.
Without a word, Thomasin coiled backwards, her nape poised in a regal arch as her haunches sank upon her fetlocks before launching forwards into the crisp night. Her breath left her in twin plumes, translucent clouds that formed and disappeared just as quickly as she thundered towards the woodland. Thomasin would quieten her mind in the two best ways she knew how - foraging for herbs and hunting. The growl in her gut did not go unnoticed, even as she cleared a sizable fallen trunk that blocked her path. With a snort, she pushed on, the toll carrying two babes had taken on her physique was thankfully not as arduous as it had been the first time round. And whilst her most recent additions were safe and sound, secured in the Keep, she could not help the ache of loss that ran through her as she thought of Cersei and Jaime. Her thoughts were drowned out only by the blood rushing through her lobes and the wind speeding by her skull as she ran. Light had slowly began to seep into the darkened sky above, a thin line of golden sun dripped across the horizon, the abyss fading with it. As her gait slowed, she studied her surroundings - closer to the borders than the main body of The Keep, a location perfect for satiating that morning hunger.
Thomasin continuously moved through the woodland, remaining down wind, meticulously placing each hoof upon the earth as to not alert any nearby potential meals. She was in luck - soon enough, a lone doe came into view. A fallow, recognisable by the spotted pattern along her back. This was not her first hunt, and by no means would it be her last, but as she took her position, readying her body for the attack, a deafening cry rang out across the lands. The deer jerked her head up instantly and bounded away into the shadows of the woodland once more. Her once calm demeanour soon began to crack, her lobes sinking against her poll as her lips curled in a silent snarl. Without a thought, her mass span in the direction of the call, her limbs extending into a ferocious thrice beat that tore the earth apart as she charged forwards. Eventually, as she shoved her way through the low hanging boughs of the conifers, a familiar face came into view. Perihelion. He had been at her ascension, stopping his sibling from attempting to take the throne not yet warmed by Thomasin herself. So why was he here now? And why so demanding? Marduk soared from on high, bracing his wings as he landed deftly upon the witch queen’s withers once more. She halted a few feet from the bastard, noting how carefully he had situated himself just outside of their borders. It has been some time, she began, her gilded pools scouring his embodiment. Whilst he had stepped in once before, she did not trust him. At all. What can I do for you, Perihelion? She queried, her tones eerily calm as she awaited his response.

"Speech."
The bastard king slithered about the darkness of the keep. He seemed to always be awake now, each passing day and night holding his crown in a chokehold. He came to the old room where his babies once laid. Cold bitter eyes rolled over the old straw and hides and bones that lain in the middle of the chilled room. Selven's heavy breath could be seen as the ice in the air bit at his lungs. It had been a year now since his children had been abducted. A year since any trace of them had come to himself or Thomasin. So long now, that his beloved Thomasin had given herself to a demon and bore his spawn. The selfish bastard of a king could not help the scowl that touched his maw at the thought. His jealousy burning hot in his gullet at the thought of her beneath another. Selven had not the patience, or the desire to question his queen about her pairing. He could only assume it was obviously what she desired, to feel the warmth of a man again. Selven himself had not lain with another since he gave himself to Thomasin. He did not shove his seed down some whores slit and had no desire to as his children still lay in the wind. Perhaps that was the problem. Perhaps the heathenish fuck had lost his bite when he gave his being to Thomasin. Perhaps she was now a weakness... a monsoon that drowned any spark that dared dance in his chest. The bastard king shook his heavy crown then... ridding his mind of those pathetic and untrue thoughts. Thomasin was his everything, his babies close behind her. Selven lowered his skull to the cold floor, his hot lips brushing over the furs along the ground. They no longer held the scent of his children, the only thing now was echo's of their small voices and laughter in his mind.
Selven stayed within this room for some time, until he heard the familiar light steps of Thomasin. She too was restless as of late, on edge even thought she would never admit it with her words. They had seen each other a bit more lately, as faces began to pop up at The Keep. They always appeared unified. The king a foreboding shadow to appear behind his beloved and slip in the darkness to watch her. He could hear her steps grow louder, then fainter as she slipped through the halls. Selven did not hesitate to follow. Always close enough to know, but far enough to be unheard and unseen. He stepped gently from the room of his children, his inky thorns perked atop his skull as he heard the great hall doors open. The bastard king waited a few moments before he too, walked through the crumbling stone halls and to the opened door. The guards that stood there giving a respectful dip of their skulls to his presence. The harsh cold wind bit at his nose, the flurries of snow sticking to his thick fur. Looking out over the landscape, Selven felt a familiar ping of home.. of Armageddon and Cocytus. The cold and snow reminding him of the bitter lands he called his for a lifetime. Selven had all but forgotten about the long haired hyena of his, and felt no need to summon her either as he flicked a thorn behind him. The cold wind was on his side as was the disturbed snow and moonlight. Thomasin's scent was one he could never forget and was burned into his mind, her tracks only served as a visual to aide him in finding her.
Selven leaped effortlessly to the snow covered ground below, his frame landing right atop Thomasin's tracks. The bastard king set off at an easy walk then, the air flicking the loose strands of thick coarse hair and tickling the bones within his locks. Selven examined his beloveds tracks, their spacing indicating she was running freely through the snow. The monochrome bastard smirked slightly, a sweet memory of them racing through her old home dancing across his mind. He wondered briefly, what would it take for them to get back to a time like that. He paused for a moment then, the trees he now stood in breaking the whipping wind slightly. He could tell Thomasin was heading for the borders.. perhaps in search of a snack.... or her demon. Selven's thorns settled into his thick mane at the thought... perhaps jealously was not an emotion that was so long forgotten by the beast.
Sunlight began to threaten him as he moved his frame forward, knowing his beloved was easily a few minutes ahead of him. Yet as he picked up his own pace to a lofty trot, a booming, demanding call was sent through the air. Selven's thorns twisted in the direction of the sound his large bodice moving into an extended canter freely. The bastard king was a graceful beast, years of fighting, dancing and just living had given him more than his fair share of time to know exactly how to place every single part of his body in snow, sleet and normally hazardous conditions. Selven's frame nearly floated over the snow covered ground in his canter as he diverged from Thomasin's path now. He knew she would be turning her attention to this.. guest and so as his pace quickened and his breath blew through his nares like smoke he continued until he saw his beloved slowing her pace to stand before the unknown beast that stood, curiously, right outside of their border.
Selven did not hide his approach from their right sides. The strong frame of the king eerie as steam now rolled from his hide and bellowed from his nose. He was still slightly hidden by the shadows of the trees, his inky thorns catching his beloveds beautiful voice. It has been some time, What can I do for you, Perihelion? Selven pressed forward now, his frame coming to slip behind Thomasin, his massive frame an imposing sight behind her hips. AS his bodice brushed against Thomasin, his piercing gaze studied this curious beast. Selven had drank in the view of his bride quickly, noting the lack of blood across her maw. Was she not out hunting after-all, or was she merely interrupted by this, Perihelion. Selven let his gaze refocus on the chimeric beast then as he stepped from behind his beloved and curled about to their left side. The king positioning himself to where he could easily intercept this other beast if needed. Selven could not deny that it was a handsome thing, and its name tickled at a memory but he could not quite place it. The beast however, smelled of lands far from here and this made the bastard king expel the scent from his nose as his crown rose and his thick nape arched. Selven did not speak... not just yet. By his beloved greeting the creature somewhat politely, the king would wait to see what this stallion had to say.

Perihelion
Peri waited patiently for the appearance of Thomasin or her king. At least he expected to see Thomasin, and there had been rumors that Joker was no longer King. Peri did not attempt to attend the coronation for the most recent soul to claim the throne. After the debacle at the last one, he doubted he would've been a welcomed face among the masses. Thomasin did arrive after some time, and her feminine bodice prowled across the grounds in a predatory fashion. His golden eyes studied her as she approached. The queen stopped a few feet from him, comfortabl within her borders. As long as he remained outside her domain, she had no real reason to come and drag him away. Thomasin asked what she could do for him. Before he had the chance to respond to her inquiry a large painted stag arrived to stand beside her. This was not the face of Joker, and he didn't know that he'd even heard the King's name. Peri didn't care much for politics though. He'd been a soldier first and foremost his entire life. That was what had gotten him in the situation he'd ended up in with Aphelion though. His eyes lingered on the stallion who joined them, and momentarily put off answering Thomasin. "And you are?" Peri asked the stallion. It might come off as insulting, but he didn't care. Not after the disrespect they'd showed the Light Kingdom. Peri returned his gaze to Thomasin after a few moments. "I find it hard to believe that you haven't any clue why I would be here. You're not stupid, so skip the pleasantries." Peri borderline chastised the dark queen. He was not afraid of her. He had no reason to be. "Why did you cause such an atrocious scene at Hunroor's coronation? It's obviously personal, but I haven't figured out exactly how yet." Peri finished his thoughts and remained silent for them to speak up. A z z y Fallen bleh sorry this sucks

The night hag kept the painted intruder well within the grips of her gaze, her demeanour calm, poised. The fire in her magma hued optics said otherwise, had she not made it clear to them? Was her line drawn not deep enough in the sands of their beaches? Cross her, in any fashion, and no mercy would be given. She spoke, greeting him cordially, her tones curt, cutting. Had Nixi sent him, her bravest, or most foolish, guard? Still, she kept her thoughts entirely to herself as the familiar cologne of her King accosted her nasal passages. He moved beside her, plumes of steam rolling from his embodiment as his Atlantic gaze rolled across her embodiment like crashing waves before finally falling upon Perihelion. Selven said nought, his silence an eerie greeting for the intruder, the embers of desire licked at her gut. Whilst the void that had formed between them still a vast, ominous opening. Yet in these moments, in these moments where he stood beside her, where he truly rose to the occasion, did she feel that void lessen. The corners of her voluptuous lips twitched into a smirk and she subtly flicked her obsidian cords towards his hocks, dancing the silken strands across his flesh.
If there had been a moment, it was ruined. The obtuse tones of Perihelion pulling her focus back on to the matter at hand. "And you are?” A brow instantly shot up above her left optic, a dark shine of amusement flashing across those halcyon runes as she twisted her skull upon its axial joint to face Selven, curious to truly observe his response. Would he tear the stag a new arsehole? Would he play along in that savage way he did so well, lull him into a false sense of security and then destroy him? She waited in eager anticipation to see how her monarch would react, and when he had, and the dust had settled, Perihelion continued, this time, his words directed at her. "I find it hard to believe that you haven't any clue why I would be here. You're not stupid, so skip the pleasantries.” The night hag did not hide the smirk that curled her lips this time, her crown rising an inch or so, looking down upon the chimeric beast. There was a dangerous look in her eye now, a challenge. Brazenly, boldly perhaps, she moved from Selven's side, Marduk still perched upon her withers as she crossed the border of her home and rounded behind the chimeric stallion.
"Why did you cause such an atrocious scene at Hunroor's coronation? It's obviously personal, but I haven't figured out exactly how yet.” A scoff of amusement left the queen then, her lobes sinking into the ocean of her tresses. If he wished for her to skip the pleasantries, then she would willingly oblige him on this occasion. And who are you to be questioning us? She hissed through clenched enamels, standing squarely now behind him, her scrutiny danced briefly to Selven, a silent nod for this to be a joint effort, should it need to be. You come to us, demanding an explanation. Perhaps you should look closer to home, perhaps you should demand to know why Nixi allowed a murderer to live so freely in her kingdom… she snarled, her cords slicing against her hocks in a similar fashion to that of an irritated lioness. Perhaps you should ask her why she did nothing to stop her denizens from murdering my father, raping my siblings… and then, when you have that information, perhaps you should ask her why she did nothing to stop his children from continuing to murder my companion, rape Selven's daughter and then abduct our children… would that suffice? Would it be enough for the bastard to understand that perhaps she had just had enough of being walked over? Your queen did nothing, so we did. Our message was clear - we will not tolerate such atrocities any longer, we will not suffer fools gladly. And we will not welcome any of the light alliance within our lands… that was his que to leave, that was his moment to choose freedom or a stint in the cells beneath The Keep. Across their borders or not, to challenge the King and Queen in such a fashion was not likely to end well for anyone, particularly one such as Perihelion…

The bastard king merely flicked an inky thorn to his beloved as he felt the gentlest of wisps across his hocks by her fine hairs. The moment was subtle, but it was enough for the monochrome patriarch. However short lived the moment was, Selven’s piercing gaze snapped to the chimeric stallion as its vocals slipped from its maw. And you are?” An unimpressed curl of the kings lips crawled across his own maw, his heavy crown lifting to look down upon the tri colored pest as heavy steam blew from his nares with an indignant snort to follow. This Perihelion, was proving to be a nuisance already. Selvens gaze shifted to Thomasin then back as she turned her crown to see his face. Fortunately for the chimeric pest, the king was in a slightly better mood. That good grace was quickly squandered however as the other stallion spoke down to his beloved. I find it hard to believe that you haven't any clue why I would be here. You're not stupid, so skip the pleasantries. Before Selven could speak, his beautiful Thomasin had slithered from his side, her regal form rounding behind the tricolored beast effortlessly. Selven watched her for a moment before his piercing gaze went back to Perihelion. The chimeric beast spoke again then, his question truly pathetic however his appearance here began to make some sense. His beloved's voice rang out first then, the beautiful sound of her lyrics cutting through the chilled air like a hot knife. Her molten gold eyes dancing to Selven’s for only a moment, her silent request very much headed. She held nothing back. The bastard wanted to know and so he got it. Selven’s maw rose higher , his heavy nape arching as he took a step forward, a sinister glint dancing in his icy eyes. “ You have your answer. Now, what shall you do with it?” The bastard king questioned, his handsome lips curling devilishly. In all truth, he and Thomasin had yet to have their revenge. The abductors of their children yet to be found, no retribution offered from the lights for that nor the murder of her original companion. Yet this useless fuck came parading here? Selven’s pearly whites clicked together, his heavy brow narrowing as that chilling smirk of his grew. “ I must say, you are a bold fuck. Stupid… but bold.” Selven said with an amused chuckle. “ You come parading here, to our home… demanding answers and having the gall to speak to MY queen as if she is a commoner? Your bravery is sorely misplaced.. As is your sense of importance.” The ink and ivory czar said, his accented vocals strong as it carried between them all. Selvens gaze shifted to his queen for a moment then, his heavy frame ready to drag this fucker down into the belly of the keep. All it would take was for this entitled pest to look at them the wrong way. “You are far from home, Perihelion. I suggest your next move be a wise one.” ➳ T e c h n o ➳ A z z yWC:509 notes: will make pretty later on chromebook

Perihelion
The two royals bristled and their fangs were swift to come out. Thomasin questioned him with critical tones as swiftly as she was able to. She had cut Selven off in the process, but he remained quiet. Contemplative almost, but Peri could sense the rage broiling underneath the painted hessian's flesh. The chimeric stag merely stared at Thomasin when she asked him who he thought he was to question them. "I would assume that question is rhetorical because you feel disrespected. I serve to protect the Light Kingdom and her denizens, and you are surprised when I come with questions when you throw the head of one of those individuals at the feet of my King and Queen?" His tones were acid. They were cold, and incredulous. He knew better though. These royals were not stupid. The chimeric beast remained silent then as Thomasin explained the reasons for their own atrocity. As she spoke, it became clear who she was talking about. Underoath. The stag who had been placed on trial and banished from the Light Kingdom for the horrible things he'd done. Peri remained quiet as the Queen circled him like a slab of meat. They would both be sorely mistaken if they attacked him though, he would not go down without a fight. That was something he had spent a majority of his life doing. "Underoath then." Peri replied to her detailed list. "He was banished from the light kingdom, but perhaps that is not the justice you desired." Peri allowed his golden orbs to slither over to Selven as Thomasin's voice died down. He seemed more upset about the disrespect he'd slung her way. The way he spoke, was the way a man spoke when he was in love. Both royals had threatened him to leave. He pulled his head higher and smirked to Selven. "Are you not commoners to me? You may be King and Queen but you are not my king and queen." He reminded Selven simply. "That being said. I have the information I came for. And to think, Thomasin I stood up for you at your coronation and you call me a fool. I will take my leave. I did not cross your border for a reason." He answered the duo and waited until Thomasin was in front of him before he started to back away. Peri did not dare turn his back upon the two dark equines, because they had made it clear that they considered the Light Kingdom an enemy.
