Considering all the tension and tumult in the world of late, Tirion supposed that wandering about willy nilly was the worst idea possible. At least, when you found your mind wandering, rather than focusing on the here and now. Especially when by this point it was probably known by a few enemies that you were aligned with Utopia.
Of course, being a Nephilim, most probably would assume he was allied with Utopia even before he had the chance to declare himself as such.
Still... as reckless as it might well be to just be venturing out, away from home when his mind was in such turmoil... Tirion could not help himself. Not after what had happened at the coronation of the new Light King. Who happened to essentially be his great-uncle. And also associated with the sole reason Tirion had been conceived. Awkward? Indubitably. Still, Tirion hoped that he had put everyone's mind at ease at least with regard to his thoughts on the matter. And his own theory regarding why his mother had taken the course of action she had. Had Mother yet spoken with their new king? He had no idea. In truth, he suspected that, like himself, she was feeling a bit at a loss these days, with a mind full of tumult.
Given how that had come to be... was it any surprise?
Tirion had ventured at least close enough to see the great-grandfather he retained only fuzzy memories of within the last little while. Not close enough to disturb him or the healers. He did not look as bad as that first glimpse at the coronation. However, he did not yet truly resemble any of the few memories Tirion had of his grandsire. And Tirion was certain his grandfather did not recognize him at all.
Shivering a little at the memory of confused, frightened eyes that contrasted so sharply with the clear, gentle gaze he remembered, Tirion forced himself to focus on his surroundings. For an instant, he felt mild disorientation. He was on a beach, but it wasn't quite... right. At least until he registered the fact that this was Opaque Beach, no the home shoreline of Rain Forest Beach. abrasia Go on, go on and hurt the one that you love Go on and make me the one that you want to hate Winter had its iron grip on Wild Equines. It was an unforgiving season, especially when paired with the war that had enveloped the realm since... when had it started? Spring? Was it really approaching a year since war was declared? Had the Afterlife gotten any closer to closure in that time? She had so many questions but she dared not call out to anyone to get answers. The Afterlife frightened her. She wondered if her father had ever made it into the Underworld. He would be the only one she would want to see. Say what you wanted about The Surgeon, but Abrasia thought he'd been a wonderful father. Nothing like the monster Underoath had claimed him to be. If anything, Oath was the monster that haunted her. And if she had known that he was currently held captive in The Howling Keep, the very same place she now called home, she would have fled. Where she would flee was undetermined. Perhaps back to the Isle, if she could bare it. The psychotic mare had her doubts, though. She was too much of a coward to ever go back to her true home. So where might she go? To Charm's home? She had never met the beast, but he had been a friend of her father's. Perhaps he would allow her to seek refuge in The Whore House, if he knew her situation. In the blink of an eye, suddenly, she was away from the trees and darkness of the Keep and found herself upon the golden sands of a beach. She blinked again, snorting in alarm, not even aware of leaving the Keep, let alone coming all the way to a beach! Was she still in Wild Equines? Alarmed, Abrasia halted abruptly and began to look around her. There were some vague familiarities of her surroundings, but she could not truly tell if she was still in her homeland or not. Had she been human, her face would have paled. As it was, her red flecked green eyes filled to the brim with tears and she sniffled. She could feel the tendrils of insanity reaching out for her, like they always tended to do, and just as abruptly as she'd stopped, she bolted forward, ears pinned flat against her skull. She ran along the shoreline until she came upon another equine. Suffering from her psychosis at the moment, Abrasia did not recognize the brute. She came to a jolting, clumsy halt, panting raggedly, and stared at him from a few feet away. "Where am I?" she asked, sounding shaken and just as crazed as she looked.
