Nemesis
Nemesis wasn't about to let the father of her child die after doing her a favor. She owed him at least that much. The Helkaer had not wandered far after their meeting before she focused on calling a summons to the Lord of the Underworld. An insatiable hellfire demon whom she begrudgingly served for now. It was only begrudging because the predatory mare did not like to be bound by any rules. Nemesis was an entity of chaos, and that was the only true devotion she would ever hold outside of her loyalty to her fiery commander. The dark bay flicked her tail as she studied the mingling bodies that dotted the horizon of Unclaimed Hearts.
None of them had stood out like Helbane had. She could only hope she would be carrying a cambion soon. One that would surely rise through the ranks of the Helkaer just as she had. "Xerxes, I request a favor of you." Nemesis spoke in an unusually polite manner. Perhaps it was the muzzle that was figuratively wound around her gnashing jaws, or perhaps the triumph of accomplishing the task she'd sought out to do. "There is a stag I have laid with in hopes to produce another cambion who will likely need saving. I suspect he is a regular mortal because I saw no cambion or Nephilim symbol on his hide." Her words drifted into the emptiness of the air around her.
She could've selected Xerxes as a sire and followed the suit of her twin. Then their children would technically have been full siblings. Genetically at least. That was the unusual thing about her and Yvette, they were identical. Nemesis couldn't think of any other twins she'd run into that she knew of that were like the chaotic duo. Now all that was left was patience to see if the dreadlord appeared. Nemesis could still see the stag she'd chosen as a sire. She had not yet seen the effects of her disease yet.
Some were quick to succumb to it, and others were not. Even her own grandmother seemed to develop a knack for withstanding the disease in her bite. She had done all she could to break the skin of her kin. Crux had left with irreparable scars both physical and mental. Nemesis had been the reason that Crux had left Wild Equines altogether. A smile formed on her lips at the memory as she waited for a response.
