To find the edge of the world resting just beyond the horizon where the sun was sinking below the waves, it was a gift of the heavens like one he'd never seen before. However, there hadn't been many options to sit and appreciate that. Nor had he witnessed the glory of these crystal pools, but he was, sinking his ebony carcass into the hot depths to soothe his aching muscles. His muzzle rested just above the surface, his ears relaxed even as he listened to his surroundings in case anyone approached. The heat of the water seeped into his muscles, relaxing them further from the long and grueling journey. Beyond this, he wasn't sure what his plans were or where he would go, but at the moment he had no cares, no concerns. This was all he wanted. He lost all train of thought and forgot what he was doing after a moment, causing his muzzle to sink into the water. When it did, he breathed in by instinct and drew water into his lungs by the gallons. It jolted him away and he thrashed to the surface again, coughing out and snorting to heave the water from his lugs. "Fucking hell..." he mumbled between coughs as he waded to the water's edge. He flopped over onto his side and heaved out, water dribbling from his nostrils. words;; 228 timeline;;character;; Vegvisirtag;; open notes;; is this a pagan open?! omg! "he talks like this."

cathedral was always finding himself back at the crystal pools, enjoying a dip to offset the ache that came from his old injuries. today was no different - leaving unclaimed hearts at a trot, kicking up dirt as he went. it had been a few months since he'd been here, still hating the way mud and gunk clung to him at every turn. his coat looked different now, no longer beaming with shine like it had when the humans pulled out their fancy bottles. a lot of things were different, he thought. cath was maturing more, healing from the wreckage and still as confused as that first day on what this life appealed to in the wildlings. when he reached the pools, the daylight was slowly melting away, but he got a good look at the water before diving head first into it. his grullo bodice was washed over with the warmth, emerging and snorting the water from his nares. instantly soothed, cathedral got to work on freeing himself of the filth, not knowing there was another close by until he had floated himself far enough that the string of coughs caused him a fright. his ears flattened against his skull, peeking over the waters to see the obsidian lump crumpled against the white sands. gods, cath thought, he almost glows. it was a strange thing to see, but curiosity got the better of him. moving slow, stopping some distance away, the warmblood let out a low nicker. "are you alright?" he ventured, unsure how grave the situation at hand might be.
