Hello you little demons! The Howling Keep is running a quick activity check to update our stats. This Activity check is MANDATORY however, since we are generous gods (lol KIDDING) We are letting this be a RAPID FIRE check! Meaning as long as you hit the 200 word minimum as req. by the site you will be counted and safe! Longer posts are encouraged but not mandatory that way everyone can at least get their characters in without stress. This thread will also serve as an open invitation to any dark or unaligned that is willing to convert to being a dark. Those that choose to join in this thread will be given a small task later on that may or may not involve helping with the war effort or sowing chaos in other lands.

Individual threads with the royals can be had, just make mention if you'd to have one!
Make note! Any old member that is seeking a promotion, a new member seeking a place, or looking to convert will be threaded IC to confirm. Please use the code provided to reply.

"Speech."

Spring time was in the air, and with it the throws of love and infatuation. Along with the savory taste of pheromones, wafting about was also the electric buzz of what could be seen as the ending of the war. Equines of all walks were scrambling about the free lands, paranormal entities slung each other about and beseeched any mortal they could get their gripey little hooves on. Perhaps the king was no better as he prepared guards and messengers alike to carry a message across all of WE. The Howling keep would be opening its doors to new and old beings alike... so long as they would announce themselves fully as apart of the dark kingdom. The monochrome king did think that, that was only fair and a quite mild request really. And so the multitude of guards were sent off. Their multi typed bodies disappearing in each direction. Lovely ladies of the keep and its babes gathering fruits and edibles for the congregation that was to be in the coming days.

The sun rose on the day of the call, and as the sun lowered in the sky once more, he could see his herd members beginning to show. They trickled in slower than he would of expected, but this fact did little to cause a change in his expression. Other's unknown also came, their bodies obviously tenser as they stepped into the clearing before the monumental castle he had now called home for a year. The king smiled lightly as his beloved soon emerged from the great maw of the keep and came to stand beside him. Selven gave a deep dip of his crown to his beloved before he turned his cold gaze onto the growing gathering before him.

"My brothers, sisters; Welcome! We call upon you and open our home to you today in good faith. Faith that you all have chosen to not only give your loyalty to us, as your leaders... but also your loyalty to the underworld. As you should all be aware, the war continues. The god's and the godless have begun to bring their terrors down upon the utopians and their mortal allies. Though it seems our own participation in this war effort may be for naught; do not fret. The devil see's you all. He sees and he knows. Do good work; steal and plunder from his and our enemies. Enjoy the discord we can rightfully sow. " The king paused briefly, his gaze shifting about the congregation as he cleared his throat to shift the tide of his speech and bring it to an end. " Now, if any has heeded our call to join do not hesitate to seek the queen or I out. With that, eat! Dance! Mingle. Enjoy the evening and all our home has to offer."

There was apparently some sort of fete being held in the Howling Keep. Rianne had heard of it via messenger from the royal land itself. He had bade her attendance, and it was thus that Rianne would came. Thomasin and Selven had her respect, and she liked being the lead of Ittudale. Far be it from her to ever give them a reason to remove her, though Rianne knew that should she ever be removed and replaced, she would end whomever took her place through mysteriously untraceable means. For the occasion, Rianne carried Screech upon her back. The eagle had not seen enough carnage for her liking during this war, and made her displeasure obvious as she kneaded impatient claws into Rianne’s back. The bay Akhal Teke ignored the rivulets of blood beading down her spine beneath Screech’s attentions, instead turning her attention to seeing and being seen.

As was classic, Selven had a long speech prepared to start them off. Rianne listened, barely able to keep the smirk off her face as Selven welcomed them all and bade them to display not only their loyalty to the Dark Royals, but to the Underworld as a whole. That was beyond fitting; they were still at war, and there was chaos to arrange for. Do good work; steal and plunder from this and our enemies. Enjoy the discord we can rightfully sow. There were fewer things Rianne appreciated more than an open invitation to chaos. The smirk on her face grew in size. Perhaps there were others here who felt similarly to her, who thrived off the chaos that they could all engender in the realm? Already scheming how she would kick her participation off in this little fete, Rianne nodded distractedly as the king finished his speech and began to pay attention to those around her. What would they say? They should know her, given she was battle hardened and ready to go, and her reputation preceded her. Did they have any plots in which she could participate? How could she involve them in hers?
