Go row the boat to safer grounds But don't you know we're stronger now My heart still beats and my skin still feels My lungs still breathe, my mind still fears Following a few days of rain, Wild Equines was now sunny and bright - but for how long would that last? What would happen as the fights in this war broke out across the lands? She could hear the fighting now, as she approached the Bachelor Lands. Perhaps she should have done elsewhere, but Jazmin was confident she could take care of herself. She was confident she could make it back home. But she also was not foolish and had told others where she was going. In these troubling times one could never be too careful. Especially with some young herd members still missing, with no way of finding them it would seem. She feared Underworld intervention in the case of Garrick and Lisette but there was no proof of it. Just one day the twins were there and the next... they were gone. And they had been missing ever since. With Leviticus, they knew she had been taken by someone out in the Free Lands, in Geysir, but by the time Decay had gone out to search, the trail had been too tarnished to follow it - whether on purpose or by coincidence, he did not know. Jazmin was disturbed by it. Of course, Leviticus's family were pointing fingers at Charm, but they could not just go barging into The Whore House and demanding a girl back that Charm might not even have... Jazmin had never met the Shire but she had heard stories of him. He was nothing short of a monster. Shuddering at the thought, the steel gray maiden continued onward through the Bachelor Lands. It wasn't crowded, only a few feuding pairs of equines which she did her best to steer clear of. She wanted no part of this war, though if asked, she would prefer if Utopia won. The Underworld was full of criminals and wicked souls. Why would she want them to have the upper hand, by any means? if there was ever a time, let it be today, of all days. Sepris had chosen to loom close by the other stallions simply because he felt far too out in the open otherwise. He didn’t like the Bachelor Lands much, but he was familiar with them to say the least. As part of healing, that meant getting past the triggers, right? Admittedly, he still struggled with the thought of stepping foot into Unclaimed Hearts or Opaque. So, he watched as the few contenders danced themselves around one another. It was from this perch that he saw the gray mare sweeping across the outskirts, lost in thought and avoidant of the commotions. The skull faced stallion planned to ignore her until another bachelor’s attention turned onto her, and Sepris immediately sprung into action. Intercepting the buckskin brute that had his ears on her and flickering his tail in his face, his spindle legs taking long strides at a slow trot, he hoped he was not going to intrude too much on her day. Partway to her, Sepris nickered, his ears perked in a neutral position with his head and neck relaxed downward enough without appearing too submissive. He made sure to keep himself in front of the stallions view of her, confident she may understand his purpose without making it obvious. Surely this mare could fend for herself; Sepris still knew that he would feel tormented if something were to happen. He’d heard about some of the things that could happen here as a young colt. Slowing down once close enough, he let out a low whinny of a hello. ”Hey,” Sepris said as cooly as he could manage. ”Might I join you?” He was sure that even if she minded, the other stallions attention had long left the pair, and he could make a swift exit without disturbing the peace. He didn’t want to be victim to any scrutiny or trouble, either. There was a war going on, after all. fleabittengray & jazmin !

Go row the boat to safer grounds But don't you know we're stronger now My heart still beats and my skin still feels My lungs still breathe, my mind still fears She was paying attention to her surroundings as she walked. It would be foolish to allow herself to get lost in thought under such circumstances. She knew that she was a target here due to being a mare. Mares in the Bachelor Lands were always approached by someone at some point. So when she saw a brute breaking away from the crowd out of the corner of her eye, his eyes seemingly focused on her, Jazmin pretended not to notice at first. She did not react outwardly, but on the inside her thoughts were whirling. What did this guy want? Trouble, probably; she would not be surprised if he wanted to try and seduce her and flirt with her or something. As if being some buff asshole in the Free Lands made him immediately worth any of her time. She was just thinking of what she was going to say to him when there came another equine, putting themselves between Jazmin and the original stallion, his tail snapping in the other's face. She couldn't help but to snicker quietly at that, biting her lip to hold back laughter. But why was this second stranger coming up to her? She turned her head to look at him, puzzlement in her dark brown eyes as she surveyed him. He called out to her, nickering, and Jazmin answered with a quit whinny of her own. She would allow this other guy to approach her. To walk with her, even. So long as he was on his best behavior, of course. ”Hey,” He spoke in a neutral tone. Jazmin's head dipped in quiet greeting, eyes gazing beyond him toward the buckskin brute that was now glaring at the two of them - but at least he was making no further advancements. ”Might I join you?” Another nod given and she motioned at the place beside her for the stranger to walk beside. "Might as well," she said, and then in an almost teasing tone, "I think that guy is trying to murder us both with his glaring. Probably best we stick together for now, anyway."Jazmin | 351 | JUNI! w/ Sepristine notes | thanks for joining! timeline | 8 years, early spring, late morning

if there was ever a time, let it be today, of all days. Sepris felt rather grateful that the dame didn't seem too upset by his intrusion. As surprised as she seemed, there was a silent understanding that he felt deep within his chest. "Might as well," she replied, and the black stallion smiled cordially. Sepris obliged and took the place at her side, lupine eyes turning back to look at the buckskin that was surely feeling the shame of being bested by one such as Sepris. "I think that guy is trying to murder us both with his glaring. Probably best we stick together for now, anyway." His sonars swiveled as the mare spoke again, and he couldn't help the chuckle that escaped as she did. "If looks could kill I think he'd be one of the best assassins in this land," he noted, his tone low for the small fear of being overheard, even from across the grasses. Long legs began to move in unison to the mares, and his attention was back to the small bubble that seemed to envelope them. She was taller than him by almost an entire hand and her gray coat was attractive to look at in the spring sun. He noted her dark eyes and the fragility that was her delicate features. The air about her was far from fragile, though; he liked the way she wore strength. So many mares before her had come through the Bachelor Lands by mere mistake and quivered at the thought of that hulking buckskin brute, but this one was most unphased. "Oh," Sepris said, realizing he had lost his manners. "I am Sepris, by the way." Allowing his tone to return back to a normal octave, he flashed her a toothy grin and his gaze moved back forward in fear that he might stare too long. "I am from the Light alliance. Are you from around here?" He was curious. For someone as well traveled as him, he had never seen her before, but that wasn't surprising given how big Wild Equines was. Sepris wondered if she was of the Dark Lands, or if she had a home at all. Something told him she was far from a nobody.
