[attr="class", post] Hey you, hey you, finally you get it The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it His soul had been stolen, by none other than the Lord of Utopia, and Charm was utterly amused. He was hoping to get his soul back, however, he also wouldn't mind just being a thorn in Utopia's side until they wanted nothing more than to give his soul back. Charm was very good at being annoying. He was very good at getting inside your head and making you squirm and rethink everything, making you question yourself. That was exactly what he was planning on doing to poor Cadence. He was in good spirits as he marched out to the mass grave. It stunk to high heavens here, but the Shire was used to the stench. Besides, he was going to use this place to his advantage. Setting the scene, so to speak. He walked to the edge of the pit, gazing down into it at the rotting corpses and bones. Flies swarmed the area, buzzing around every which way. It was here that the leader of the brothel planned on summoning the Lord of Utopia. He was hoping it would make him squirm, at least a little bit. Like a maggot... or a worm. Because that was all Cadence was to him: a pest. "Oh, Cadence, you feathered bastard!" Charm called out, his tone full of barely hidden laughter and amusement. "Come on down. I'd like to have a word with you." He knew that the Lord would hear him, since he was speaking directly to him. Like a private prayer, only Charm wasn't the praying type. He was the type to lie and twist words around until you weren't even sure what you meant yourself. He was wicked and cruel, and arrogant on top of it. He waited for the Utopian to arrive, his eyes casually scanning the blue, cloudless sky above. It was hot this afternoon, sweat glistening on Charm's hide, but the massive Shire showed no sign of discomfort as he stood at the edge of the grave pit, waiting for the one that had stolen him. Cadence had claimed the soul of one of the Dark Mainland leaders known as Charm. The beast had quite a reputation, and given the Dark Kingdom's alliance with the Underworld, he thought it was a fitting official steal to make. The name Charm was almost a misnomer, and he pratically gagged at the thought of naming someone like him something so like that. The roan lord had stolen his soul, but he dreaded the encounter that was to come. Come it did, like a hungry dog nagging for food. Cadence felt a tug at his core as the vile beast summoned him in the most unkind way possible. A bitter taste crept across his tongue and he smirked to himself before he began his descent from Utopia. The comfort of Utopia drained away from him the closer he got th the mortal realm. It was cold, and jarring each and every time he made this journey.
But he would continue to make it, time and time again as he served Utopia as its Lord. Cadence did not have to take a significant chunk of time to find the bastard. He was massive, and there was a predatory look in his eyes. The Whore House smelled of rot and decay. It made him curl his nose in disgust as he approached the Dark lead. "Are you sure you'd like to have a word with me?" Cadence asked in monotone to the vile heathen that stood before him. His visage was blank, and his lips were pulled into a taut neutral position. He could be imposing, but he chose not to do so. Cadence did not intend to make this worm bow although it was only a fraction of the injustice he deserved. Cadence remained quiet for a few moments to allow Charm to undoubtedly respond to him.
"If it were up to me, I'd never look at your face... Now, what do you want?" Cadence asked, although he knew the answer. Charm likely wanted his soul, and it was yet to be seen if the bastard would fight him for it. That would have been something that he would look forward to. There were very few mortals he could say he truly despised, but Charm was one of them. That is if the stories he'd heard about him and his little 'brothel' were true. It was not like him to judge someone so harshly, considering they had not met formally. He studied the bronc, who was coloured black as coal save for the few leg and the prominent blaze upon his face.

[attr="class", post] Hey you, hey you, finally you get it The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it The Shire was calm as he stood there waiting, the flies buzzing around him, maggots eating away at the rotting flesh in the mass grave just feet away from him. He could peer into it from where he was standing, look down upon the mangled bodies, and feel nothing. Death was so very boring. Everyone would rot and decay at some point, even him. He would not try to fight it, he would not try to cheat death and outrun it. The grim reaper would come for him when it was time and Charm would part ways with his mortal body and become something else, something more. He wondered what Cadence would truly think if he ended up in Utopia, free to harass his "fellow angels," all because the Lord had decided to take his soul. He grinned, licking his lips, and before long the sound of large wings could be heard approaching from somewhere in the sky. His black eyes turned up toward the blue sky, squinting against the bright morning sun. He could just make out the finger, coming toward him, and then there stood Cadence, wings folded against his sides, looking at Charm like he wanted nothing to do with him. How cute. Too bad Charm was determined to pester Cadence until he wanted nothing to do with his soul anymore. "Are you sure you'd like to have a word with me?" The Shire chuckled as Cadence approached, his dark gaze peering at him from behind a thick forelock, watching his every move. "Why wouldn't I, Cadence?" he teased, cocking his head to the side. "You must have something interesting about you, if Rasa picked you as her Lord. How is she, by the way? Haven't seen her in a while. I don't think she likes me very much." And then the beast pouted, an exaggerated look on his facade. He was well away that Rasa didn't like him, and that she avoided The Whore House like the plague. His home probably made her feel guilty and angry, knowing what he'd done to Talia, and for how long he'd kept her captive. Charm had no regrets. He felt no guilt. And he'd do it all again, if given the chance. "If it were up to me, I'd never look at your face... Now, what do you want?" A laugh erupted from Charm and his long, thick legs carried him close to the Lord, his body language relaxed and yet... somehow threatening. "And yet, here you stand." He snickered, his tail flicking, snapping against his flank with a loud smack. "And if my soul is not returned, well, you'll be seeing a whole lot of my pretty little face in the future." A threat, of sorts, because it was true. If Cadence still held Charm's soul, and Charm should die, he would be going to Utopia. Not the ideal place to go, sure, but... he could work it to his advantage. "Unless, of course... something were to happen to me soon. Today, even. Life does get so hard to deal with, you know. Perhaps I'd be better off like one of them." Here, he motioned into the grave pit, gazing at the rotting flesh with a wicked grin upon his lips. "Dead and rotting, left out for the vultures to pick at my bones."Charm | 556 | ➳ T e c h n o ➳ w/ Cadence notes | what an ass timeline | 11 years 9 months, summer, late morning "Speech"[newclass=.main]width:80%;display:flex;background-color:#352525;height:650px;[/newclass] [newclass=.image]flex: 1;width:80%;height:650px;background-image:url(https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/cc853a4e-3ccf-420a-9fb6-625bda4de329/deapfoq-8b0f65c6-a065-4f5d-8783-bf0e290b185c.png/v1/fit/w_800,h_1250,q_70,strp/draft_horse_by_vinsaber_deapfoq-414w-2x.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9MTI1MCIsInBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcL2NjODUzYTRlLTNjY2YtNDIwYS05ZmI2LTYyNWJkYTRkZTMyOVwvZGVhcGZvcS04YjBmNjVjNi1hMDY1LTRmNWQtODc4My1iZjBlMjkwYjE4NWMucG5nIiwid2lkdGgiOiI8PTgwMCJ9XV0sImF1ZCI6WyJ1cm46c2VydmljZTppbWFnZS5vcGVyYXRpb25zIl19.Q0mc3xHeCz6gvcvHf3NHLSRtGVRs8ig_xWUzS7E3wjg);background-size:100%;background-repeat:no-repeat;[/newclass] [newclass=.post]flex: 1;text-align:left;padding:10px;color:#af644f;font-family:garmond;width:70%;overflow:auto;[/newclass] [newclass=.name]text-transform:uppercase;color:#fff;letter-spacing:8px;font-size:25px;font-family:tahoma;text-shadow: #feb068 2px 2px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.post::-webkit-scrollbar]display:hidden;width:0px;[/newclass]

Charm, the vile creature that he was, acted as if the Lord could have possibly hurt him, or perhaps he was only amused by the angel's reaction. The stench of his home was unbearable, as unbearable as the deeds he'd heard about Charm committing. He made a jab at Rasa about picking him as her lord, and went on to say that she didn't seem to like him very much. "Does anyone?" Cadence quipped back, and it came out so fast that it was obvious it was a knee jerk reaction. Usually he was at least semi-composed, but there hadn't been anyone who Cadence had felt such a hatred for in a majority of his life. "I'm not going to tell you anything about Rasa. She doesn't like you. You're one of the most vile creatures to ever exist." Cadence did not hold back.
But it was not a weakness that he was so repulsed by Charm. If anything it was a borderline violent statement. Cadence wasn't the type to go looking for a fight, but for Charm he would. It was as if a demon had crawled back into a mortal's skin. He found it hard to believe that anyone could be so depraved, but yet here the bastard stood. The black Shire's snicker sent his skin crawling. "Some of us are bound by a duty." Cadence merely replied, his tones were still cool but bordering on hostile. Charm idly commented on how he'd be seeing a whole lot more of Cadence if his soul wasn't returned. Then went on to faux lament that life was hard.
That actually made Cadence laugh incredulously at Charm. His very existence got under the roan's skin. "For you, I wish there were a fate worse than death. I suppose I could let you rot away in our cells. Then maybe you could feel a fraction of the suffering that you've inflicted by your very existence. Even then it wouldn't be enough. Just say the word, and I'll delight you with the cold embrace of death and your freedom will vanish as you know it." Cadence promised with sickly sweet tones. It was an attempt to appear unfazed by Charm's threat.
"I'm not giving your soul back. If there's nothing else.. I'm leaving. Let me know when you want to fight for it, I'll gladly drag you across the battlefield." Cadence offered a fake smile as if he were looking forward to their next engagement.

[attr="class", post] Hey you, hey you, finally you get it The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it The Shire didn't have much experience with Cadence, but it seemed already the Lord had made up his mind about Charm. Of course, the brothel owner knew that Cadence had every reason to absolutely loathe him. Cadence stood for all things good and wholesome, whereas Charm was anything but good and wholesome. He was sure Rasa must have told him about what he had done to Talia, and why she was so hateful toward Charm, why he made her blood boil in a way no one else seemed to manage doing. Or maybe Rasa had kept it to herself. Kept him a dirty little secret, in hopes that he wouldn't stain and mar anymore Utopians. Corruption festered and ate away quickly at innocence. And he was very good at corrupting. "Does anyone?" The Lord snapped at him and Charm grinned, arching his neck and letting his muscles flex, almost as if he were flirting with the Lord of Utopia. "I can think of a few that rather enjoy my presence... one of your darling little angels did, for a time, after all." He licked his lips after he spoke, as if he wanted to take a bite out of the Lord, but cannibalism was more Tefached's speed - Charm just liked to watch them suffer. "I'm not going to tell you anything about Rasa. She doesn't like you. You're one of the most vile creatures to ever exist." He laughed, his tail flicking flies away lazily from his hide, a front hoof stomping, his feathered pillar coming down on the dry earth with a thud. "Worse even than, say, Xerxes? Remind me again who you're at war with, Cadence, because I sure don't remember Rasa proclaiming war against little ol' me." He batted his eyelashes as he spoke in a sickly sweet tone, completely unfazed by the ferocity of the Lord of Utopia. Charm had the upper hand here, in his mind, anyway. "Some of us are bound by a duty." The Shire gave a quiet hmm as he advanced closer toward Cadence, that shit eating grin on his face yet again. "How honorable, Lord Cadence. Bound by duty. And I'm so very sure nothing could make you stray from the straight and narrow path..." he trailed off, his tone mildly threatening, dark eyes staring down at the Lord. He was toying with the winged pest, trying to get under his skin and make him squirm. When Cadence laughed, Charm smiled, cocking his head to the side as he looked at Cadence quietly, letting the man speak. "For you, I wish there were a fate worse than death. I suppose I could let you rot away in our cells. Then maybe you could feel a fraction of the suffering that you've inflicted by your very existence. Even then it wouldn't be enough. Just say the word, and I'll delight you with the cold embrace of death and your freedom will vanish as you know it." The black sabino draft snorted, chuckling as a hind off stomped upon the earth, another dull thud heard as it connected with the soil. "My, my, Cadence, don't threaten me with a good time, I may just have to switch my allegiance to Utopia. Think you could make a good man out of me, Cadence? I'd like to see you try." He wanted to see the Lord crack. Wanted to see him actually make a move - to shut him up, to break him down, to do something to prove that Utopia weren't all just worthless little bastards. "I'm not giving your soul back. If there's nothing else.. I'm leaving. Let me know when you want to fight for it, I'll gladly drag you across the battlefield." All too casually, Charm hummed and seemed almost bored from the threat. "Oh, I'm not fighting for it, Cadence. Not yet, at least. I'll let you keep it. Whatever helps you, whatever makes you think you're actually doing something." He turned slightly, as if he were going to turn back to return to the heart of his lands. "Why don't you come for a tour of the place, Cadence? See behind enemy lines. Maybe you'll find my deepest, darkest secrets. Who knows?"Charm | 702 | ➳ T e c h n o ➳ w/ Cadence notes | charm is such a DICK timeline | 11 years 9 months, summer, late morning "Speech"[newclass=.main]width:80%;display:flex;background-color:#352525;height:650px;[/newclass] [newclass=.image]flex: 1;width:80%;height:650px;background-image:url(https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/cc853a4e-3ccf-420a-9fb6-625bda4de329/deapfoq-8b0f65c6-a065-4f5d-8783-bf0e290b185c.png/v1/fit/w_800,h_1250,q_70,strp/draft_horse_by_vinsaber_deapfoq-414w-2x.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9MTI1MCIsInBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcL2NjODUzYTRlLTNjY2YtNDIwYS05ZmI2LTYyNWJkYTRkZTMyOVwvZGVhcGZvcS04YjBmNjVjNi1hMDY1LTRmNWQtODc4My1iZjBlMjkwYjE4NWMucG5nIiwid2lkdGgiOiI8PTgwMCJ9XV0sImF1ZCI6WyJ1cm46c2VydmljZTppbWFnZS5vcGVyYXRpb25zIl19.Q0mc3xHeCz6gvcvHf3NHLSRtGVRs8ig_xWUzS7E3wjg);background-size:100%;background-repeat:no-repeat;[/newclass] [newclass=.post]flex: 1;text-align:left;padding:10px;color:#af644f;font-family:garmond;width:70%;overflow:auto;[/newclass] [newclass=.name]text-transform:uppercase;color:#fff;letter-spacing:8px;font-size:25px;font-family:tahoma;text-shadow: #feb068 2px 2px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.post::-webkit-scrollbar]display:hidden;width:0px;[/newclass]
