GARRICK
made by remi of rilla go! and adoxography
Garrick wasn't sure how long he and his sister had been "missing," but it was long enough for them to have both lost a substantial amount of weight and to gather plenty of wounds - either self inflicted or given to one another, as directed by Acacias, to make them look the part of the victims. In reality, they had been hidden deep in the Free Lands, changing locations every few days or so, always on the run while Acacias taught them all they needed to know: fighting, Wild Equines history, and even the art of manipulation which would now be coming into play as they returned home to Dark Woods. Garrick was eager to return and get to work, gathering intel on Dark Woods and hopefully the rest of the Neutral Kingdom all for Acacias. Though Garrick may be a Nephilim, he was still completely devoted to his half-twin's father. He secretly envied Lisette for being the Cambion out of the two of them, but he knew his would play just as important a role in Acacias's plans for them.
It was dark by the time the twins had made it back to the border of Dark Woods. Garrick was hot and covered in sweat. The night was humid, and as always in the evening hours, there was a thick mist spreading out from the heavily wooded forest that he had to go back to calling home. He didn't mind the atmosphere, but the horses? Walking the path of neutrality was not for him. He wanted darkness. He had always been a quiet and rather sullen individual, but he'd found a purpose in Acacias's plan. Acacias didn't ever mind that he was partially mute, only able to string together a few words here and there. Acacias had even said he thought that Garrick was smarter than he was letting on, which made the dun Nephilim smile every time he remembered that. But tonight was not a night for smiling, so his face held the expression of exhaustion as his legs carried his once-lean body, now thing and more boney than muscular, across the border into Dark Woods.
Not one for many words, Garrick looked toward his sister and then touched his muzzle to her cheek, motioning ahead of them - asking without saying a word for her to call out for the leader, whoever that may be. So much could change when you were missing, after all.
