SIGN UPS CLOSE DECEMBER 1ST

HAPPY MERRY WE MEMBERS! It's time for the yearly Secret Santa! Please sign up by the deadline if you'd like to participate.

how it works

- If you would like to participate, reply to this thread saying so. Also include what you would like to receive for a gift.

- Gift ideas include store items for either characters or your account, plots for your characters, graphics, and anything else you can think of!

- Please include as many ideas as you can - this makes it much easier for your secret santa to be able to gift you with something that you want.

- You may not only include "graphics" on your wish list, because not everyone has the ability to get graphics for you, as compared to getting something through WE for points.

- Anyone is allowed to join this! Even if you are a very new member and don't have many WE points. If this is the case, the staff members running the event will help you out so that you can be sure to gift your secret santa with something.

- If you miss the closing date for sign ups, do not fret! Shoot us a message, and we will be sure to involve you somehow.

- Store items for this event will be 75% off. In addition, all store purchases will be done through PRIVATE MESSAGE with staff in order to keep this all a surprise. More information will be provided about this at the time that you receive the name of your secret santa.

- A thread for posting who your secret santa was and what you got for them will be made after all the names are drawn and given out.

deadlines

These sign ups will close December 1st 2024.

You must let the staff member running the event know what you are gifting your SS by December 15th. This gives you two weeks from when you are given your SS to figure out what you are getting them. You don't have to have the items at this time, you just need to let the staff member know your intention - the reason for this is so that if anyone drops out, staff are able to step in and figure out gifts for people instead.

The thread for sharing your SS gifts will be posted December 15th. You have between December 15th and December 24th (AT THE LATEST) to gift your present.
If you are not going to be available during this time, let the staff member running the event know and they will post your gift for you.

If you do not post your gift within the deadline, a staff member will post it for you (which is why we ask you to let us know in advance what you plan on gifting).
If you do not follow through with getting or giving your SS gift, there is a chance you will not be allowed to participate in SS events to come. Remember this is an event about giving, so it's no fun if you don't follow through and someone misses out on a receiving a gift!

To summarize:
- Sign ups close December 1st.
- You must let your appointed staff member know what you are gifting your SS by December 15th.
- You must post your SS gift between December 15th and December 24th.

Of COURSE I'm gonna sign tf up for this! It's da most wonderful time of da year not really we all know that's Halloween but I can't be a Grinch ALL the time...

Some things I would like as a wee lil gift are as follows:

- Book recommendations! Any genre BUT horror does forever have my heart and soul. I'll read anything though. You can check out my Goodreads account to see what I have read recently and what I'm currently working on, to get a feel for how diverse my reading really is.

- TV show and anime recommendations! My fav shows ever are Hannibal and Supernatural and aside from reality TV (like 90 Day Fiancé for example) I'll give almost anything a try. Bonus points for horror themes! Same goes for anime. I'm trying to get back into it, slowly but surely. I just recently got a Netflix account again (for now) so anything on USA Netflix that you recommend would be awesome.

- Movie recommendations! Again, I'm a fiend for horror, but I also really love Deadpool and fantasy stuff. You can check out my Letterboxd account to get a feel for what movies I liked best.

- YouTube and podcast recommendations! I LOOOVEEEE true crime and anything paranormal (I'm sensing a theme here...) but also like really "nerdy" stuff like DND podcasts and asmr videos lmfao.

- Music recommendations! Literally throw anything at me because I am always on the hunt for new music. I think this link to my Spotify profile should work to show just how much of a chaotic mess my taste in music is. Anything goes here, really.

Now when it comes to WE specifically, here are some things I'd love as well!

- Store items! Specifically the name color changing item because I change it at least 3x a year (probably more) so that's something I ALWAYS use. Other than that, I can find a use for virtually ANY store item. Bonus points if you buy an item and then give me an idea for said item, bonus BONUS points if it comes with a plot to go along with it!

- Speaking of plots: PLOT WITH MEEEEE! I have too many characters just sitting around gathering dust. Please please look through my TH logs and pick a character or several to plot with. I have a character that could fit virtually any sort of plot you wanna throw at me, so I'm all ears. Let's get plotting! If you're interested in seeing who my "main characters" are, for easier plotting, you can see a list of them with a short, very basic description in my about me here on WE!

- If you know how to make tables? PLEASE offer to make tables for me! I have way too many images that don't have any posting tables! I don't care if they're basic or fancy or whatever. I'm happy with anything, really! Coding is an art form in and of itself. Much respect to those of you that can look at code without breaking it (cuz I do that).

- If you'd like to make art of any of my characters, please feel free to! Preferably someone that does not have any art/references/etc. already, but if you'd prefer doing someone like Rasa or Charm or Xovad who have tons of art already, I ain't complaining. Do whatever you want! Even if you just make someone goofy and silly! I will cherish it forever and ever.

- If you don't feel like making any art for established characters, I'm also ALWAYS on the hunt for new designs and adopts! Be they fantasy or WE friendly, I hoard them all. Gimme gimme gimme! Doesn't even have to be equine tbh! Wolf, dragon, human, humanoid, anthro, literally whatever you want, I will probably cry from how cool your art is and how loved I feel.

- Speaking of art, if you're feeling particularly feisty, my entire TH is open to you to make art of any of the characters within it - whether they are fleshed out or just bare bones or somewhere in between!

Here's a little list:
- good modern horror/thiller books
- classic horror books (i have Dracula, Carmilla & all of Poe's works so anything different would be great!)
- Customisation store items (anything & everything would be appreciated!)
- Tables, I've a few images that need tables so this would be super handy
- plots! For anyone & everyone, my main muse hogs are my canons, Xerxes & Thom, however I'd really like to get the others active again
- art in any shape is always adored, but not essential! Any adopts & designs are always hugely appreciated!

- book recommendations (maybe some book club talk?) i like the asoiaf universe and fantasy based romance but also really like action/adventure and paranormal mystery stuff
- table codes for me to customize, i’m bad at adding/placing images
- plots n low pressure threading mayhaps? 
- pixels/busts for adora or sepris and simple designs, i'm a trash panda collector of pretty things

- your favorite christmas movies to binge on nye with the family!! can be silly, heartwarming, comedy focused or heck we’d do christmas esque horror once the little falls asleep 
- new age horror movie recs. i love psychological horror and dark themes, mostly looking for 2020-2023 movies because i feel like i’ve watched the older stuff so many times
- share your playlists with me pls, i love a little bit of everything from classical, 80s rock, pop punk, hip hop… you name it i probably love it 
- character memes!!! make it personal 
- cute animal pic exchange. i’m talking lets send each other 50 of our favorite animal pictures either from our gallery or make it challenging and find pictures 
- this is an obscure one… your fave recipes! i like simple, easy stuff as a mom and i wanna get more creative / think outside the box but am the literal worst at using my imagination with cooking. inspire me!

I'd love anything I got, but here's a little list to give whoever some ideas! <3

- Plots and threads! I'd love to get some more active plots going with my charactes, especially my mains, but also in general with everyone I have! I'd also be open to create new characters for plots if you have any ideas!
- Book recommendations! I love fantasy, especially in style with Rebecca Yarros, Sarah J Maas, Molly Black and the like.
- Store items are always appreciated but not a must! I can make most things work so don't hesitate on anything if you do want to give me anything of this sort!
- Any kind of art of my characters and even of my cat Strössel would be just so precious! Again, absolutely not a must but I would love it to bits!
- Character memes! I'd love anything, throw it at them!
- Recipes! I love simple, hearty recipes that aren't too complicated! I am the cook in the house and I always struggle with idea, because I have a picky gf. I don't eat fish and seafood, but she does etc, but we both eat meat, veggies etc, and don't mind vegetarian stuff either. I love things like stew and soup!
- A bit of an odd one that maybe ties in a little with art but still; my character as whatever human you imagine them like. Either by drawing them or by just telling me what you imagine them as, like "this character would be a librarian with two cats and no life" or whatever comes to your mind lol. I find it very funny, and even helpful in the event that I'd ever want to make them into a human or something
