Canon Apprentice Auditions

how to get an apprentice

If you are interested in auditioning for an apprenticeship canon position, please review the following info. Auditions will be opened whenever the need for a new apprentice arises.

rules

• The Versai, Vigilum and Helkaer will each only take one apprentice at any given time. Each group has different requirements to move onto full member status, so please be aware of the expectations. They also require the proper alliances: Versai accepts Lights, Helkaer accepts Darks, and Vigilum accepts all.
• Canon Apprentices are required to post at minimum once every 15 days and update it in the Canon Apprentice Activity Thread. Failure to do so will result in warnings and loss of position.
• Characters must be at lest 2 years old to apply.
• Unlike full-fledged canons, roleplayers may apply no matter how long they have been on the site for. New members are welcome.
• You may not apply for an apprentice if you already hold 2 canon positions. You also cannot apply for a Helkaer Apprenticeship if you play a Versai and vice versa.
• If you lose an apprenticeship position, you may not apply again for 3 months with any character.
• Apprentice applications will only be accepted when auditions are open. If they are closed, you must wait for them to open again or challenge an apprentice who already has a warning.
• In order to challenge an apprentice who has a warning, you must post in the land they live in IC and state your challenge (with a username tag). The apprentice will have three days to respond, or they forfeit their position to you. If they do respond, you will engage in a battle and whoever wins will win the apprenticeship position. Normal battle rules apply to the fight.

auditions

• Once auditions open, we will allow sign ups for two weeks. If we have enough interested parties, at the end of the two weeks, the IC task threads will begin. This will determine if a character who has signed up gets the apprentice position. It is expected that for the duration of the IC thread, the character auditioning will explain their motives for joining the group, as well as their strengths/weaknesses to showcase or work on.
• To begin the IC portion of the auditions, a canon group member will post here and tag everyone involved, letting them know to begin. At this point, everyone who has signed up has 1 week to post an IC thread of their character going to meet with the group. If they fail to post within the time limit, they will forfeit the audition. The other group members can be seen as NPCs watching over the auditions in this thread. Versai will post in Mersa, Vigilum in Mount Vigilum, and Helkaer in Caerali Desert.
• Once the character auditioning has been posted, a group member (or staff if needed) will give an OOC response with a task the character must complete. There will be two tasks total to complete. Each group will have different ones relative to their expectations.
• After each task is posted, the character auditioning must reply IC within 7 days or forfeit the audition.
• After each OOC task is given, the auditioning character must respond IC to complete the task. Once they have completed the second task, the audition is considered complete.
• Once all of the audition threads are complete, the respective canon group will choose who will become their apprentice.
