The business of war was nothing the scarred mare hadn't seen before. She was ready for the pain, the suffering, the fear. Especially the fear for those she cared about. The spirited stallion had been quickly growing on her, and the sunset mare was extremely worried about him. While she had chosen to take a step back from the war without knowing more details, Gavin had seemed sure in his choice to side with Utopia. It left the fem feeling unnaturally guilty for not being as certain in her own decisions. She wanted to help him beyond taking the initiative to patrol throughout the night and asking the wolf to protect her lead while he slept. It didn't feel enough.
She had been told by some of the more chatty members of Eacarrah that the Neutral King, Avinash, had been looking to strengthen the kingdom overall, starting with the inner circle. The mare saw the opportunity to help Gavin, the rest of his people, and the royal that she had been told was just and fair. All she wanted to do was help, and she thought she had found a way to do so without needing to step foot in a battleground just yet.
So she began her adventure, again thankful that Gavin hadn't yet tried to ask her to remain within his land. The ability to wander had kept her wanting to come back, and she wasn't sure what would happen if she lost that freedom. Not that she expected that from the beast. Now that spring had began to really show its face, Aelin was able to easily find her way past the boundary of Eacarrah and out towards the edge of the Freelands. As the sun continued its climb, the temperatures rose to nearly feel like summer. The heat was welcoming, however, especially as the sunlight kept the path well lit to a beautiful meadow unlike the mare had ever seen. The flowers were bright and cheery, almost making Aelin forget the real reason why she had traveled her - war.
Despite that fact, a smile crossed her face as she stepped into the garden and paused for a moment. Where had that filly told her to go? To the edge. But which one? The bronze hued fem chose a random direction and began to walk, auds on alert for anyone who may be following her. Not that she was doing anything wrong, she just wanted to be careful given the precarious situation the world was in. She almost didn't notice when the grass beneath her hooves became more rugged, but she refocused in time to see a sheer cliff that abruptly appeared a few feet from her. It was here that Aelin came to a halt, taking a deep breath.
Lady Rasa, I wish to speak with you.

I would shun the light, share in evening's cool and quiet Who would trade that hum of night?
War had come. And it was't going anywhere anytime soon. Utopia already had one successful battle, thanks to The Fallen, and the Heavens now housed another demon - a total of three so far. She wondered just how many demons would become ensnared by Utopia after this was all said and done. After the war, or should an agreement be made between herself, Cadence, Xerxes, and Teca about terms to end the war, all prisoners would be released. She did not want to keep demons in her home. It felt wrong, and she didn't like having them that close to her children, to the rest of the Utopian youth, either. However, Rasa understood the need to hold them captive. There was only one way to win a war - and that was by force. No war was ever won by being kind and soft and gentle... She had to toughen up and ready herself to be harsh, to perhaps be cruel in some cases. She was not looking forward to it. She wished there was any other way to bring justice to the Underworld other than this.
Lady Rasa, I wish to speak with you. It was an unfamiliar voice calling out to her from Videnie, land of the Seers. Rasa lifted her head, wings beginning to unfold as she took a deep breath and prepared herself for whatever conversation was about to follow. With a powerful thrust of her wings, Rasa lifted herself from the surface of Utopia and propelled herself upwards and through the air. Gusts of wind from her large wings made the grass below her sway and dance until she was well enough away from it for feel the wind any longer. She banked to the left, heading in a beeline toward Videnie, a sun-section of Eden, far enough away from Eden, however, that she would still remain a holder of her powers gifted to her by being Lady. How else was she supposed to make someone a Seer? That is, if that was what this woman wanted, anyway.
It did not take long for her to find the scarred chestnut mare. She was young, shorter than Rasa, and was not someone that Rasa recognized by appearance, either. Curious, the angelic leader landed, graceful as always, and shook herself gently. "I am Rasa, Lady of Utopia," she introduced herself as she approached the mare from the right side. "How can I help you today, dear?"

Aelin After her quiet request had faded onto the breeze, the fem immediately felt herself growing anxious. She wasn't sure what to expect or what she would really say to the Lady of Utopia, but this had to be the right path to help Gavin and the neutral kingdom as a whole. Aelin would not physically fight in this war, but she could be useful in other ways. She needed to be. It was only fair at this point, given how open and inviting the young lead had been despite a recent raid on his land. She felt that she owed him some sort of debt, and was determined to pay it in the best way possible. What better way than being able to receive visions from Utopia?
The chestnut fought the urge to pace as she waited, unsure if the Lady would even come. This was war time, and it was important to prepare for what was to come. Even as the thought filtered through, her harks slipped forward at the sound of wings and a stronger breeze swept through her mane. Aelin had heard that angels and demons alike could have wings, but seeing it in person was absolutely breathtaking. The lady's wings were the same silky brown color as her coat and startling beautiful as she approached and lowered herself to plant all hooves onto the ground. For a moment, the fem simply watched with intense interest, her crown dipping low in respect. She was at a loss for words, but thankfully the winged mare didn't allow the silence to sit for too long. I am Rasa, Lady of Utopia. How can I help you today, dear?
The scarred fem smiled at the darker one, the nerves from earlier threatening to take over. It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Rasa. I am Aelin, she said, the words feeling rushed as they left her lips. I know you are probably busy, but I would like to speak to you about becoming a Seer for Utopia. I want to be able to help keep the Neutral Kingdom safe if any way that I can. Her voice had grown more sure as her multicolored eyes met sepia ones with more confidence. She was nervous what it might entail, but Aelin was sure that this was the best way to help the ones she cared about, if the Lady would allow her to.

I would shun the light, share in evening's cool and quiet Who would trade that hum of night?
She had never met this maiden before, any by the reaction she got as she appeared, Rasa wondered if this young mare had ever met with anyone from the Afterlife before. Her gaze was intense and curious, the chestnut silent as Rasa made her approach. The Lady of Utopia had a smile, soft and warm, upon her lips as she looked at the younger mortal, returning the polite dip of their head with one of her own. Rasa didn't think herself as above the mortals, or above anyone, really. She was just someone who'd happened to become Lady of Utopia because there was no one else left up to the task. Rasa's steady gaze watched the fem, her wings folded gently against her sides as she waited for the girl to find her tongue and explain just what she was doing here. Rasa figured she had heard of the Seers and wanted to become one, but had she spoken to Valfrid or Judas at all about it? Did she know what truly went into being a Seer? Either way, Rasa was going to be sure to give a thorough explanation about it.
It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Rasa. I am Aelin, The girl smiled. Rasa could tell that she was nervous. I know you are probably busy, but I would like to speak to you about becoming a Seer for Utopia. I want to be able to help keep the Neutral Kingdom safe if any way that I can. Rasa's eyes widened slightly in pleasant surprise as Aelin spoke of wanting to aide the Neutral Kingdom, a Kingdom that Rasa was quite fond of, considering she was and always had been a Neutral herself. "That's lovely to hear, Aelin, Utopia could always use more Seers. Have you met either of the two current Seers yet?" Her tone was warm. Friendly. "And do you know all that goes into being a Seer at all? I will say, it is not a painless process, being able to receive visions..." She was not going to lie to the girl and tell her it would be all fine and dandy, because Rasa did not like to lie - regardless of what the Underworld said about her. She was honest. She always tried to be.

Aelin The fem wasn't sure why it nearly threw her that the great Lady of Utopia had such a peaceful, easy way about her. Wasn't that... sort of the point? She ruled over what could be interpreted as heaven, so shouldn't Lady Rasa be ethereal and kind? Perhaps it was one thing to hear about it like a bedtime story and completely different to see it in person. It might have taken her a moment to find her voice, but Aelin's determination slowly began to settle in. She knew little of being a Seer other than there weren't many of them and that the Underworld had their own as well. By the way that the winged mare kept her calm demeanor, the chestnut assumed that this was a conversation she was expecting. That's lovely to hear, Aelin, Utopia could always use more Seers. Have you met either of the two current Seers yet? The scarred vixen's heart sank a little as she slowly shook her head. I haven't. I know there are others, but nobody has told me their names or where they are. I assume that means that they are supposed to a secret of some sorts?
Aelin almost felt like a child again, but not due to anything that Lady Rasa had said or done. In her wild determination and excitement, the mare hadn't really done any research or asked many questions. It was almost embarrassing, but she wasn't going to give up. She would only leave if this beauty of the Afterlife told her to. And do you know all that goes into being a Seer at all? I will say, it is not a painless process, being able to receive visions... Aelin took a moment to think about that, her turquoise and gold eyes never leaving the statuesque being. She was used to the pain, and didn't fear the thought of more. I have experienced plenty of pain in my life. At least this kind would have a real purpose, her tones were soft and honest as she thought about the scars that crossed her back. No, I don't know everything that comes with being a Seer, but I don't want to be an idle party in the war while my new home possibly suffers. I honestly can't think of anything that would convince me that this wouldn't be a role that I could fulfill. King Avinash.. Gavin. They both deserve to have me help in any way possible.

x RASA She was excited to have another soul lined up to become a Seer, someone outside of the Versai since it didn't seem Aelin knew anything about Valfrid or Judas. That meant Utopia was going to have a further reach throughout Wild Equines. She hoped one day to reach into the Dark Kingdom, to bring the peace and fulfillment. She didn't want to force them to change alliances, because you could still be a Dark and be a good soul. But she wanted to change their perspective. Wanted to give them sometime beyond bloodshed and chaos to look forward to. I haven't. I know there are others, but nobody has told me their names or where they are. I assume that means that they are supposed to a secret of some sorts? Rasa gave an encouraging smile despite Aelin having not met either of the boys. "That's quite alright, dear. No, the Seers are not really secrets. You don't have to hide yourself. I would like for you to meet one or both of the boys that are also Seers. Valfrid, of Lyrarcor, and Judas, and Rosemonde. Both lands can be found in the Highlands." She did not outright mention the Versai, because she assumed if Aelin knew enough about Seers, she would know the Highlands meant Versai. I have experienced plenty of pain in my life. At least this kind would have a real purpose, That was a new way of looking at it. A thoughtful smile came to her muzzle and she whinnied gently. "I admire you being willing to put yourself through this for the sake of others, Aelin." She paused, looking the young girl over briefly. "Becoming a Seer will require me to take your soul, providing you with a connection to Utopia. That's the easy part... the hard part, is the pain that will come during the process of becoming a Seer. And every time you have a Vision, you will be very vulnerable. The headaches, I'm told, are the most traumatic, painful thing ever experienced. They linger even after the Vision is over, sometimes for days. Your eyes will go white when you get a Vision, and an Underworld Seer's eyes will go black. There will be no hiding it. The Underworld may also send you false visions, and there will be no way to tell the difference. It is up to you to figure it out."Another pause. It was a lot of information to take in all at once. "If you are ready, and still want to, we can begin the process of you becoming a Seer now. I will give you a moment to think it over, or you can take some days or weeks if you'd like instead."illɘgal w/ Aelin 520 | RasaSorry for the wonkiness, pain meds were taken! <3 20 years, spring, early afternoon, after war declaration, after The Fallen wins his battle and Cadence is made Lord

Aelin L The longer the sunset colored mare gazed at the ethereal being, the more nervous she became. Would the Lady of Utopia deny her? It was well within her rights, though Aelin would go back to feeling completely useless if that was the case. She wanted - needed - to do this, and she hoped that the bay beauty could see how serious she took the responsibility of being a seer. She appreciated that Rasa provided her with the names and locations of the other seers, taking note to ask Gavin where Lyrarcor and Rosemonde were for her to pay them a visit. She hadn't yet had the need to visit the lands of the Versai, but doing so seemed to be a good idea.
As her small speech came to an end, Aelin felt more sure of her choice. I admire you being willing to put yourself through this for the sake of others, Aelin. The mare returned the Lady's smile with a gentle one of her own, anxiety running its course despite her thoughtful tone. Especially as Rasa continued on to explain the side effects. She spoke of headaches and vulnerability, but what made Aelin start to feel unsure was the thought of giving up her soul. She was also concerned about the possibility of receiving visions from the Underworld. How was she supposed to know the difference? What if she got it wrong?
When the lady finished, Aelin let out a long breath. Perhaps she should have looked into this more before coming here. When you take my soul, the vixen began softly. What exactly does that mean? Would I be different? I can't imagine being... soulless is a good thing. She didn't care about the pain or the potential for being harmed as long as she could help the Neutral kingdom. She owed it to them. I'm also concerned about being tricked by the Underworld and what kind of damage that could do. Her words were more nervous this time, but in the end, her resolve wasn't wavering.
I do want to do this, if you'll have me.

x RASA Rasa was patient in this instance. She did not want Aelin to rush her decision. Becoming a Seer was not something that should be taken lightly, or something that should be a spur of the moment decision. She knew it was also a lot of information to take in, if you didn't really know anything about it, all at once. The pain and vulnerability and losing your soul were bound to be enough to put most others off of the idea of Seering for either faction. In fact, the hardest part, she assumed, would be giving up their soul to someone else, willingly. It wasn't painful to collect a mortal's soul, and it would not effect them at all in the mortal world. When you take my soul, Aelin began to question and Rasa chuckled softly, giving an encouraging nod to continue. What exactly does that mean? Would I be different? I can't imagine being... soulless is a good thing. Rasa shook her head at the question of being different. "It is painless. You will not even know that it's gone. Or rather, in the hands of Utopia, and should you pass while your soul is held by Utopia, you come straight to us. You do not have to go through judgment." She hoped her explanation would be enough. She didn't really know how else to explain it. I'm also concerned about being tricked by the Underworld and what kind of damage that could do. Calmly, Rasa gave a nod of her head and released a heavy sign. I am sure that is a fear that all the Seers have. False visions can happen. That is why it is important to maintain a good relationship with Utopia while you are a Seer. I'd like for you to visit with an angel at least once a year, to keep the position of Seer." She thought that sounded reasonable. I do want to do this, if you'll have me. Aelin still seemed determined, however and that was a a good sign. "Yes. I would love to have you. Aelin, would you like to become a Seer for Utopia? Answer yes or no."illɘgal w/ Aelin 360 | Rasanotes 20 years, spring, early afternoon, after war declaration, after The Fallen wins his battle and Cadence is made Lord

Aelin Aelin may have been nervous, but she was pleased that the winged mare hadn't simply turned her away. The young vixen wouldn't have given up that easily, but it certainly would've been discouraging. She would have returned over and over until Lady Rasa had said yes. It was the only thing the bronze mare felt she could do to help her new friends. She was thankful that the lady was entertaining her questions. That was a good thing, right?
When Aelin questioned about her soul being taken, Lady Rasa's answer satisfied her concerns. It was almost comforting to have certainty whenever she finally crossed into the Afterlife. Even though it often felt like Heaven and Hell were a fairy tale, Rasa's presence was proof that they were anything but. Given the things Aelin had done in her past, this was her own path to redemption. Now she could be saving lives instead of taking them.
As she listened to Rasa address her questions about false visions, Aelin felt a little better about that as well. Meeting with an angel once a year was definitely doable, plus it would be interesting to meet not only the other seers, but Utopians as well. After all, one day she would be among them. A wide smile threatened to break across her facade at the bay mare's final question, but instead she nodded. Yes, I am ready.

x RASA As exciting as it was to gain a third Seer for Utopia, she was also a bit nervous about it. Would this encourage the Underworld to use their own Seers more often, or encourage their supporters to become Seers for Xerxes and Teca? She supposed it could, but she was also choosing to look on the bright side - perhaps this would encourage others that supported Utopia to becomes Seers as well, gaining more Utopian support along the way. Rasa could only hope this would encourage the angels to be more active as well, going to the mortal world to rally the troops and provide comfort in knowing there was, in fact, a pleasant life after death. Just because there was a war currently going on didn't mean there weren't moments of peace scattered throughout the chaos. Aelin was going to be one of those peaceful moments, right here and now, becoming a Seer (should she agree to it). The bay angel gave her a moment to think, and her answer had the elder mare smiling kindly. Yes, I am ready. Rasa could hear the strength in young Aelin's voice. Could see her devotion to the cause, and she was confident that she would make an excellent Seer. Giving a nod, the Lady of Utopia stepped forward. "Wonderful," Rasa spoke, and she placed her muzzle gently upon the other mare's forehead. First, she took the other's soul, a painless process, something she doubted the girl would even feel. Her soul would remain in Utopia, kept as safe as they possibly could, until the time came for Aelin to join them. But next, the process of becoming a Seer... there very well could be pain. "Then I, Rasa, Lady of Utopia, now pronounce you, Aelin, as a Seer of Utopia." As she spoke, her mystical angelic powers reached, connecting the other mare to the rest of Utopia. Valfrid had claimed to feel pain at that moment, when she'd asked him about the process for himself, but it was not unbearable. Rasa did not know what caused the pain. Perhaps it was just Utopia preparing them for the process of receiving Visions in the future. Regardless, should Aelin cry out in pain, or fear, she would not be alone. Rasa was right there with her, from here on out, they were connected. illɘgal w/ Aelin 389 | RasaI will now officially add Aelin to the Seer list <3 20 years, spring, early afternoon, after war declaration, after The Fallen wins his battle and Cadence is made Lord
