TW: language and mention of eating meat
Galdr had agreed to co-lead with Kladdan. Truthfully, he was content simply to maintain the title alone and support Kladdan as the face of their partnership. The massive bronc wanted nothing more than to cultivate a collection of equines who were like him. Those that consumed the flesh of another creature to survive. He had not attended the coronation because the anxiety that plagued him had been too great. Instead, he'd gone hunting and took comfort in more carnal pleasures than a gathering of strangers he would be forced to interact with at a later date. Kladdan didn't need to know everything about the draft bastard. His green eyes scanned the narrow bridge that led from the Isle all the way to the main lands of the Dark Kingdom. The sound of the waves crashing upon the shore did not go unnoticed by the massive bronc. His eyes slithered to the side to watch the white foam crash upon the rocky beach.
Galdr had extended an invitation to Kladdan to meet him at the rocky beach near the land bridge so that they could discuss things going forward. Thomasin had expected that the pair would allow the former herd members to reconvene and live beneath their rule. That included the former leader, and her sibling if he recalled correctly. Perhaps he'd made that part up. It didn't bother the hessian in the slightest. The sky overhead was overcast with a thick layer of dark clouds. They would surely spill their contents upon the kingdom judging by the distant rumble of thunder that grew ever closer.
It might be unwise to stand so close to a large body of water during a storm, but Galdr had committed to his initial location choice. He cared little for the structures that resided at the belly of Grim Isle. He preferred the rugged and harsh outdoors. It reminded him of home.
