I knew three things for certain as I was escorted from my home to... what was it called? Sunshine S'mores? - I was angry, flattered, and had no idea what a s'more was. Who was this Adora, and why did she decide to take me from my rightful home? I searched far and wide to find where I belonged in the Dark lands, and now I can't even have some peace? After everything I had been through in my life? Did she see me during the Singles event last year? Perhaps saw me in passing while I was stalking through the Freelands? So far, I had only caused a little drama in a Neutral territory, but that wasn't where I was being taken to. No, I was on my way to a Light land. How interesting. I tried to ask my escorts what a s'more was, but either they didn't know or didn't want to tell me for they kept their mouths shut tight. It must be a secret. Perhaps this Adora would tell me what it was. Even though I didn't even hesitate to annoy the two stallions who came to collect me, I was also keeping track of how far we were walking. We had left at early light, while the fog was still heavy along the shores of Grim Isle. As we trudged along, the landscape had cleared to an almost bright and cheery spring day. I hadn't yet scouted the Light kingdom, but I was mildly surprised to see jagged, rocky mountains flanking the territory we were heading towards. I was expecting something... well, light and obnoxiously cheery. Our small group wound our way through a thick forest towards a large pond that was vacant despite the weather. Where was everyone? I turned to ask one of my silent guards before I caught sight of a pretty painted mare approaching. Was this her? I pushed the rush of anger down, silver eyes taking every inch of her dappled pelt with a crooked smile on my face. When she was close enough, I dipped my head in a mock greeting and my lips stretched into an almost genuine smile. Well, good afternoon! I am Riddler, as I'm sure you know, my tone had a soft bite to them that the lead could pick up on if she paid attention. It is a pleasure to meet such a fine creature as yourself! Now that I am here, could you tell me what a s'more is?SpeechTAG JUNI! and Adora! WORDS 416 TIMELINE Spring, between Act II and Act III Here's Riddler, all gift wrapped for you (:<

may the light of the alliance guide you from one shore to another.
"he doesn’t seem too happy," the mare beside her said, and adora acknowledged it with a nod of her head. "they never are," the baroness responded, motioning toward the shadows they idled near. without another word, the other slipped off, leaving adora to head for the open as they ushered the riddler to her. the expression on his face was quick to change when he saw her, something that almost surprised her was it not for his reputation of being known for his cunning. truthfully, adora had little information, and that made for the perfect target. what better way to get to know your enemies than to steal them from their bedside? of course, it wasn't that deep for her; she wanted to make a spectacle and so she did. what a vulnerable position it must've been to be so far away from home. upon approach, he wasted no time to speak. she raised an invisible brow to the halfhearted hello, and his smile was much more sincere at face value. "well, good afternoon! i am riddler, as i'm sure you know," he said. adora's gaze shifted, focusing on the creases of his face. "it's a pleasure to meet such a fine creature as yourself! now that i am here, could you tell me what a s'more is?" normally, adora would have tried to keep her composure at such a question, but the look in his face caused her throat to go dry, and she laughed. her guards looked between themselves with gentle smirks, probably wondering what the hell she was on about in that head of hers. clearing her throat, the palomino straightened and offered a more apologetic smile to her guest, returning his earlier gesture with a dip of her own head. "as i'm sure it is. though, the pleasure is mine. thank you for joining me today." adora looked to the stallions at his sides and gave a dismissive drop of her head. within a seconds time, they departed. "the choice wasn't yours, i realize. sorry 'bout that." she said with a wink; not a taunt, more so a jest. she hoped to keep things as light hearted as possible. after all, riddler would not be here long unless his keepers willed it. it didn't seem that would be the case. "as for your question ... i don't think i can tell you what a s'more is." what a strange thing to ask, she thought to herself. she wondered if it was theatrics or genuine curiosity. strange, nonetheless. "tell me, riddler, what is your home like? i've not had the pleasure of seeing grim isle. you seem unimpressed by the shores - not up to par?" adora leaned into her front legs, tilting her face to the side as if to inspect him.

My sharp edged grin grew into one full of authentic amusement when the golden mare began to laugh. Her friendly and kind guards seemed to be amused as well, which was surprising since I had almost convinced myself that they were deaf during our walk from the Dark kingdom. As the lady of these lands seemed to gather herself, my flinty gaze locked onto her blue one with a mixture of curiosity and repressed anger. As I'm sure it is. Though, the pleasure is mine. Thank you for joining me today. She turned to my new friends to dismiss them, and my eyes narrowed for just a heartbeat in response to her words. They returned to normal size, however, as her attention shifted back to me. The choice wasn't yours, I realize. Sorry 'bout that. While the half smile on my lips might have suggested that I understood Adora's attempt to keep things light, I fought to keep from lunging for her. Was she new? She must be new. Stealing people from their homes as if it was all just fun and games, while also keeping s'mores a secret? Was she insane? Yes, well, I'm here now. You have my attention. As for your question ... I don't think I can tell you what a s'more is. My lips curved into a knowing smile, nodding to myself in thought. Perhaps it was more of a feeling rather than a physical object. Or, Adora just wanted to be mysterious. Either way, I intended to get my answer in the end. Tell me, Riddler, what is your home like? I've not had the pleasure of seeing Grim Isle. You seem unimpressed by the shores - not up to par? Was she truly just asking me about my home or hoping I would spill secrets? Adora may know my name and where I slept at night, but she certainly didn't know that much about me if she was expecting me to give anything up. I would die before I betrayed my people. I turned to look towards the pond and the thick grove of trees as if in thought, gaze scanning for any signs of life as I did so. Grim Isle is quite beautiful in the morning, if you like spookier atmospheres than this. Though, as far as I know, we don't have any s'mores. I looked back to her, offering a wink as well. I expected the shores to have more people out in the sunshine, if I'm being honest. And I was, for now. Why have you not visited the isle yet? Afraid to travel to the Dark lands? I was only half joking, the anger trying to bubble to the surface. I shook my head slowly, turning more fully towards the mare. Why am I really here, Adora? To tell you stories? We all have better things to do, no?SpeechTAG JUNI! and Adora! WORDS 479 TIMELINE Spring, between Act II and Act III New challenge: Can Riddler bring up s'mores in every post?

yes, well, i'm here now. you have my attention. the mare tilted her head as riddler spoke, taking his tone with a grain of salt. she could feel the grit that was lying underneath the surface, and she knew that she couldn't keep him floundering here forever, but wasn't that the point? her golden sonars flickered, taking even breaths to keep herself composed. if anything was to come of this meeting, it was definitely going to be a quest to find out what this mysterious thing he spoke of. grim isle is quite beautiful in the morning, if you like spookier atmospheres than this. though, as far as i know, we don't have any s'mores. she raised her eyes with a quiet nod, catching his wink, leaning back into her heels. why have you not visited the isle yet? afraid to travel to the dark lands? riddler ventured, and adora raised her cranium. "could you blame me if i was?" she retorted. the question was genuine, though she wasn't expecting an answer from him. at least, not one that affirmed her feelings, anyway. "i realize not all of you are rabid and unkind - not that i would admit that to anyone else," adora said after a short pause. riddler had turned to face her and his tone seemed far more serious this time. why am i really here, adora? to tell you stories? we all have better things to do, no? how boring, she thought. he was far more fun trying to make a fool of her. "you are here because i willed it as such," she said plainly, starting to circle him with a slow pace, cerulean eyes looking him over. "you're a statement, that is all." the mare snaked when she reached his hip, coming back to line herself up with him. there was a grin playing at her pink lips, invisible brow raised. "it'll only be for as long as kladdan allows. i wish for nothing more than a simple conversation with the bastard king."
