Nacht may have just been initiated, but he better be prepared to start raising hell. First, the Light kingdom dared to murder Sly and now the Versai are stealing Helkaer? The Brotherhood needed to remind everyone that they are not a group to be taken lightly. The General started formulating ideas as the small group of stallions corralled her from the Outlands. The wraith didn't make the task easy on them, and they quickly decided that nearly sandwiching her between their bodies would be the only way to force her to leave Sinheim without one of them losing an eye. Her rage danced beneath her skin, intertwining with her hunger and just begging to take a bite out of the closest equine. The trek wasn't necessarily a long one, but Harlan's anger had become a fully realized creature by the time the group had reached the mountains. Magenta eyes took in the grove of trees and rolling hills. She hoped she would be taken to the main part of the land, but alas, the guards were smarter than that. It would be ridiculous to show a Helkaer the path through. She noticed the path they took kept circling back around rather than a straight course to wherever they were taking her. Smart. Instead of somewhere more central, the General was taken to a small, empty clearing. Her ears were pinned and a scowl had settled across her features as the guards gave her space. She couldn't see very far into the trees but based off the light breeze, this was far from where the herd usually gathered. Everything felt stale despite the warm spring day. The phantom began to pace, snorting loudly. Why would the priestess choose now to strike? Was it due to Sly's death? An attempt to cause disarray among the Brotherhood? Or did she know of Harlan's role in the kidnapping of Dahlia? If the latter was what this was about, will she also bring that wretched stallion here for his wrongdoings that evening? In Harlan's humble opinion, murder is worse than kidnapping. Really, the Helkaer didn't kidnap the filly anyway - more along the lines of a rescue. That poor girl should never have been with those fools. The wraith finally stopped paced, ears swiveling back as she heard the approaching hoof beats. She did not turn to face the other mare, head raised high. Well, nice of you to finally join me.TAG Sunfrost and Sani! It had been unusually calculating on Saniyya’s part to steal a Helkaer mare, but she was basically sick and tired of taking everything passively rather than fighting back. The Helkaer were constantly out and about causing trouble. The Versai just took it and got unfairly blamed for everything and, frankly, Saniyya was done with it. She was High Priestess now and she would have her Versai respected, especially and even if they committed murder in self-defense and in defense of others. The Helkaer were in no place to talk about that, anyway. Murder was all they lived on, and it was somehow always justifiable when they did it, but not when someone else did. Well, as far as the High Priestess was concerned, she was through with this kind of thinking. She had stolen Harlan, and she was going to get information out of her relevant to what had happened. Would Harlan tell her what she wanted to know? Well, if not, there were always war-related benefits to her sticking around, and Sani certainly didn’t mind secluding her in the special clearing she’d especially selected for this Helkaer.
The silver dapple black was in no hurry to meet her prisoner as she made her way leisurely through Amaravati, conducting a casual border patrol. She’d sent guards to get Harlan, confident in their abilities and in the timing of their strike. She knew they would not disappoint her. Just in case the Dark mare was causing a fuss while polluting her lands, though, Sani ensured that she was accompanied by an honor guard of two moose while en route to the clearing. The moose were reliable and had worked with the Versai for generations, and she couldn’t have asked for better companions in addition to her herd members.
Sani didn’t bother to mask her approach. She walked in as though she owned the place – well, because she did – and didn’t hesitate to survey Harlan’s form with her silver eyes upon arrival. The mare appeared relatively unharmed, though ruffled. Of course, the first words from the mare’s mouth were snide, and she appeared to purposefully turn her back on Sani. An unintelligent move, but not one Sani would take advantage of, for now. Well, nice of you to finally join me. Sani snorted, not bothering to hide her reaction to the sarcasm roiling off the Helkaer in front of her. Yes, I truly could not look forward more to the pleasure of your company. Anyone who said the Versai were meek was stupid. Sani was keen to prove exactly the opposite. Why do you think you’re here? she asked, tone coldly professional yet with an edge of curiosity to it. Was Harlan going to claim the Helkaer were unfairly prosecuted against or something similar? Did she know why Sani had targeted her? She waited, curious to hear the other mare’s thoughts, or whatever snide remark would come out of her next.

The longer the priestess made the wraith wait, the more furious she became. This was absolutely ridiculous on the Versai's part. They were all peace, love, light, and yet they feel it acceptable to participate in steals. Was civil conversation below the faction? It wasn't likely that the phantom would have provided one, but there wasn't even an attempt. Instead, here was another slight against the Brotherhood. Do the Sisters ever get tired of being hypocrites? How long would Luna make her wait? Would she even show, or just leave the General in that clearing until she finally lost her patience and burned it all down? Was that the master plan? Stir the cauldron until all the right chemical reactions occur and everything finally explodes? The wraith was starting to seriously consider using those powers she was gifted by the time the mare in question made her appearance. Harlan didn't deign it necessary to face the wench just yet. What was she going to do? Attack? While the Helkaer barely acknowledged the priestess, a smirk threatened to paint her features. Yes, I truly could not look forward more to the pleasure of your company.. Now the expression became fully realized as her magenta eyes narrowed a touch at the tone, though she wasn't expecting a warm welcome. Why do you think you’re here? Harlan sighed loudly and finally turned her head to glare at the mare. Well, the Versai harbor murderers, so it would make sense that they would be kidnappers as well. The wraith chuckled to herself, shifting her bodice around to face the priestess more fully. What do you want me to do? Confess my sins? Beg to be released? Her head tilted with a half smile. Burn you where you stand? The Helkaer shook her head, her gaze never leaving the mare. Do you want more bad blood between the Helkaer and the Versai, Luna? Is that what you hope to accomplish? If so, this was a fantastic way to stoke that fire again. A sharp edged, humorless grin pulled her white lips apart as another chuckle snaked free. Let me go home now and I'll consider leaving your... lovely home unscathed. The threat hung in the air, thick with promise. Harlan could overlook Luna's temporary insanity, but not if she stayed prisoner for any longer. The Helkaer would not allow this personal attack to be forgiven. The priestess had a short window before the General lost every bit of her patience. TAG Sunfrost and Sani! WORDS 400+ TIMELINE Spring, after Nacht's ritual Just 2 sassy ladies

Saniyya couldn’t care less about the loud sigh that Harlan turned on her, nor the glare that the magenta eyed mare leveled at her frame. She had dealt with worse in her time as High Priestess and there would doubtless be further such unpleasant experiences in the future. Well, the Versai harbor murders, so it would make sense that they would be kidnappers as well. Saniyya snorted, unable to help her disdain. Were those supposed to be bad things? They weren’t murderers, not anymore, and now the Helkaer mare called this “kidnapping”. She had just fully confessed to being a kid. Besides, these were actions the Helkaer mare lived by. She was Helkaer and had likely done even worse in her time. The mare challenged her now, offering to confess her sins, beg to be released, burn her where she stood…all of the above. She then went on to ask if the Helkaer and Versai were going to have even more conflict, and threatened Sani directly in her own home.
Kidnappers? I suppose you are a kid, throwing a tantrum, so the word fits she commented, the wryness ever present in her tone. She refused to comment on the utter, complete hypocrisy of the question, instead choosing to focus her energy in more productive ways. Obviously, I did not just “kidnap” you for the fun of it, or to prove I could. Though they could really use the reminder. I did this because the Helkaer came to our lands recently and took a Versai herd member with them back to the Outlands, against her will. And as a result of those actions, someone was killed in self-defense. No, that doesn’t make us heinous murderers. That’s more your field of expertise. Sani truly couldn’t restrain the dig at the end. She also decided to avoid mentioning that they were officially at war now, given the Helkaer supported the Underworld and Sani was now declared for Utopia.
Where is Dahlia? she queried, her tone neutral. She wasn’t afraid of this Helkaer’s fire. She’d put out the Helkaer Commander’s fires once; what could this mare do? Sani was confident in her own power, though she also knew she had no true control over it. Whatever actions Harlan took, though, Sani would answer in kind. She wondered if Harlan would answer, or just spout more ridiculous nonsense. Why was she taken? How can she be returned? Xovad hadn’t asked her to pursue this, and she viewed this as a side benefit of stealing an active war participant. They were legitimate questions, though Sani doubted she would be satisfied by the answers.

It constantly amused the wraith how contradictory the Versai were. All "Light and peace", yet they were murderers, and kidnappers and had no shame about it. How did that make them better than the Helkaer? Because they did all those things in the name of peace and serenity? What a joke. The Brotherhood didn't hide their intent behind pretty words and false pretenses. No, they were open and clear about their morals and goals. Perhaps the Versai should try doing that sometime. Kidnappers? I suppose you are a kid, throwing a tantrum, so the word fits. The General couldn't resist rolling her eyes towards the heavens. Is this how things were going to go? Word games? Obviously, I did not just “kidnap” you for the fun of it, or to prove I could. Sure, sure. Why wouldn't the Versai try to flaunt whatever "power" they think they have? The phantom listened to the priestess continue with her self righteous reasoning. Harlan's lips curved into a smirk at Luna's commentary, not bothering to try and deny it. Though, as far as she knows, the recent group who committed a murder wasn't the Helkaer. It wasn't the Versai either. But this wasn't the time to bring that up. For all Harlan knew, the priestess could have been a part of that travesty as well. Magenta depths locked onto the priestess's silver ones, anger still brewing beneath the surface. Where is Dahlia? Why was she taken? How can she be returned? So that's what this was about. She wanted Dahlia back. Unfortunately, the last question wasn't something the General could answer even if she wanted to. The filly was safer with the Helkaer than with the Versai, and would remain in their possession until Xerxes told them otherwise. The General wouldn't give into bullying, and certainly not from Luna. Harlan sighed and shook her head, pity coloring her features. I don't even know who Dahlia is. If I did know her location, why would I tell you? She shrugged. It wouldn't benefit me to share any sensitive information with you, even if I possessed any. The Helkaer smiled again and tilted her head slowly. Is that really why I'm here? Aren't you supposed to be all-knowing? You certainly act like it. Let me go, Luna. This is your last chance. Isn't there enough going on in the world without you picking a fight with the Brotherhood?TAG Sunfrost and Sani! WORDS 400+ TIMELINE Spring, after Nacht's ritual I love these two together lmao
